Brad Pitt found himself desperate for some good publicity, and some publicity which didn?t involve a thirsty wannabe Instagram influencer or one of his ex-wives. So Brad arranged a lil? photoshoot for himself doing charity work in LA convenient how the light was just right and his mask came undone at just the right moment!

Last week, People Magazine had a curious story about how Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have softened towards each other to the point where he can visit her house for hours and it doesn?t devolve into a murderous rampage. ?Sources? credited the fact that Angelina, Brad and the kids have all been in family therapy since late 2016, after the plane incident. We?re coming up on the four-year anniversary of the incident and Angelina?s divorce filing. Their divorce still isn?t completed, and the last I heard, the financial part of the divorce was the biggest sticking point, not the custodial issue of the younger kids. Again, it?s been four years so why are we hearing that the pandemic is the reason why Brad and Angelina haven?t finalized their divorce?
Pumping the brakes. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie?s ?legal matters? are being put on pause as courts grapple with the coronavirus pandemic.
?Brad is seeing the kids but everything involved in their process of resolving legal matters between Angelina and Brad, including the courts, is slowed down because of COVID,? a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. ?With the pandemic, it has been hard for everyone, including them. The legal process is slowed because of that. They are continuing regular visits but there has not been a lot of progress in terms of resolving anything.?
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star, 56, has been spotted visiting his children at Jolie?s house twice in the past few weeks. Pitt stopped by her mansion in June and was seen leaving her home again on July 2.
A source told Us on Wednesday, July 8, that the former couple have been working on their coparenting relationship for the sake of their children. Pitt and Jolie, 45, are the parents of Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.
?Brad and Angelina have continued to navigate a path forward for their children,? the insider explained. ?There has been progress.?
[From Us Weekly]
I shared my thoughts about why it feels like Angelina has been slow-walking the divorce process it?s because the longer this takes, the older the kids are and the more likely the court will say that they can make their own decisions about whether to see Brad. I could be wrong! I definitely think there are lots of financial shenanigans happening too, in that Brad has been putting up a fight about a full financial disclosure to Angelina. Still, the larger point remains? it?s been almost four years. The pandemic can?t be blamed on all of this.
Here are some photos of Brad arriving to Angelina Jolie?s gated community. I mean, the photo agency claims that?s him and that must be the BMW bike we?ve heard so much about (the same one he was riding around the BLM protest a few weeks ago). The jeans? wow. The wash and a rolled-up cuff? I?m sure he rolled up the cuffs because of something to do with driving a motorcycle, but the effect is not very cool.

How should we feel about prominent white celebrities and politicians doing the bare minimum and getting recognized for it? This came up in the Mitt Romney story this week I don?t have a problem with Sen. Romney attending the DC protest, nor do I have a problem (philosophically) with Mittens saying ?black lives matter.? But I also think that those acts shouldn?t be hyped nor praised? That?s how I feel about this story too Brad Pitt apparently attended a protest/rally in LA on Sunday. The person who spotted him took a photo of a Brad-like figure riding his motorcycle around the protest and she sold that photo to the Daily Mail exclusively.

Brad Pitt was seen and photographed this week in LA, where he?s been on lockdown since March (to my knowledge). He was spotted without a mask in Malibu, hanging out with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Apparently, that?s Flea?s motorcycle and Brad was checking it out. I?m still kind of surprised that Brad hangs out with so many rockers, but hey same generation and all of that. The ?90s connection.

People Magazine choosing to put Brad Pitt on their Oscar-coverage issue is still an interesting choice. It?s clear that people within Hollywood still like him a lot and that he?s been crowned Hollywood?s Prom King. I also think it?s interesting that his campaign was so successful without Brad really needing to do a big whitewash on this past. He wasn?t out there, claiming that nothing ever happened on the plane in 2016. There wasn?t a ?whitewash.? He just deflected to his drinking problem and how he went through AA and how he?s been sober for a while now. In interviews leading up to the awards season, he seemed contemplative and humbled by the plane incident and divorce drama. Then when the awards came rolling in, suddenly he was making jokes about the situation and even thanking his children three of whom have no desire to see him in his Oscar speech. So? there it is. We?re now supposed to believe that Brad Pitt, Oscar winner, has a great relationship with his kids and everything is totally fine now.
After a challenging few years, Brad Pitt?s Oscar win on Feb. 9 proved the actor is back on top and that his career is hotter than ever.
?He has been enjoying a little slower personal life. It has worked wonders,? a source tells PEOPLE. ?We can see that it has shot him to the top professionally.?
In 2016 Pitt, 56, and Angelina Jolie, 44, split after two years of marriage and 12 years together. The pair are parents to Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. The breakup took a toll on Pitt, who stepped back from the spotlight to work on himself and admitted his drinking had contributed to his troubles at home. He spent time in a men?s Alcoholics Anonymous group and began to turn his life around by focusing on his health and his kids.
?He is a new man,? a source tells PEOPLE in the new cover story. ?He is happy, loves his kids, and relishes his quiet time at home.?
Pitt has been spending increasing time with his kids. Adds a longtime colleague, ?Things are going much more smoothly, and he is infinitely happier.?
[From People]
?The breakup took a toll on Pitt?? Poor Brad, right? I?m sure the divorce took a toll on Angelina as well, especially since she was the one getting the court to order Brad into rehab and therapy and she was the one taking care of their children. But hey, Brad?s a new man now. And it?s all thanks to his ?slower personal life.? He didn?t even have to roll out a new girlfriend for his Oscar campaign! But I bet he gets a new girlfriend this year!

| Brad Pitt turned down the Neo role in 'The Matrix?: 'I took the red pill' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Brad Pitt at the Santa Barbara International Film Festivals Maltin Modern Master Award thing. It was basically a Q&A session or ?conversation with? event for Brad. He spoke about his career and various films he?s proud of, he joked about Fight Club and other stuff. What?s interesting is that he also talked about a film he passed on! Jennifer Lopez did this recently too and she blew my mind when she said she was offered Unfaithful and she turned it down. Now Brad says he was offered Neo in The Matrix:
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star Brad Pitt was feted at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Wednesday for his superstar career filled with wildly successful performances. But his evening of career retrospective while receiving the Leonard Maltin Modern Master Award would not have been complete without discussing the culturally dominant film that he did NOT appear in. The Matrix.
During the stage interview, moderator Maltin pushed a highly reluctant Pitt to name one role he had passed on. Finally, Pitt agreed to give just one. I did pass on The Matrix, said Pitt, as the sold-out film festival theater audience roared. Without missing a beat he added with a smile, I took the red pill.Thats the only one Im naming.
Last year, during the 20th anniversary of The Matrix, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said Pitt was one of a handful of A-list stars considered for the Neo role ? including Sandra Bullock, Will Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio ? before it was given to Keanu Reeves. Pitt made it clear he had the offer and was at the top of the list. I wasn?t offered two or three. Only the first one, he said. Just to clarify that.
I come from a place, maybe it?s my upbringing, if I didn?t get it, then it wasn?t mine, he said. I really believe (the role) was never mine. Its not mine. It was someone else?s and they go and make it. I really do believe in that. Pitt added with a laugh, If we were doing a show on the great movies I?ve passed on, we would need two nights.
[From USA Today]
Weirdly, I believe Brad was offered the role, but I bet he wasn?t the first choice? The ?90s were crazy, but one thing has remained the same for decades: Leo DiCaprio is generally offered every script first. It?s true. I don?t like that it?s true, but it is. Was Brad the #2 choice? Hm. Anyway, Brad would have been awful in it and I?m glad Keanu eventually got it. Another sliding door casting decision: Angelina Jolie initially passed on Mr. and Mrs. Smith, then the role went to Nicole Kidman, then Kidman left and it came back to Angelina, who finally agreed to it. So? imagine if Nicole had done that movie? I mean?

| Brad Pitt talks about drinking, mistakes & forgiveness with Anthony Hopkins | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Brad Pitt interviewed Anthony Hopkins for Interview Magazine. They worked together on Meet Joe Black and they?ve remained somewhat friendly, although I think Hopkins mostly keeps to himself in general with Hollywood people. Some backstory: Hopkins is an alcoholic, I think. I?m not entirely sure if he refers to himself as an alcoholic, actually, but he had a big drinking problem when he was a young man. He got sober 45 years ago, by his own count. Brad, as we know, also had a drinking problem and it was so bad that something happened on a plane with his family in 2016, and after that, he went through some kind of makeshift drying-out program, and by his own admission, he attended AA for a year and a half. This backstory is because Hopkins brings it up near the beginning of the interview (which you can read here). I found this conversation? interesting.
Anthony Hopkins: what I believe now is that we can?t take credit or blame.
PITT: I feel the same. Certainly the credit. The blame I?m still wrestling with.
HOPKINS: What?s the blame?
PITT: I?m realizing, as a real act of forgiveness for myself for all the choices that I?ve made that I?m not proud of, that I value those missteps, because they led to some wisdom, which led to something else. You can?t have one without the other. I see it as something I?m just now getting my arms around at this time in my life. But I certainly don?t feel like I can take credit for any of it.
HOPKINS: I?ve read you had a struggle with booze and all that.
PITT: Well, I just saw it as a disservice to myself, as an escape.
HOPKINS: It was necessary.
PITT: To some degree, yes.
HOPKINS: It?s a gift. I myself needed to hide it, years ago.
PITT: I remember on Meet Joe Black, you were talking about it. You had dumped it.
HOPKINS: Forty-five years, almost. But I?m not an evangelist about it.
PITT: Nor I.
HOPKINS: But I look at it, and I think, ?What a great blessing that was, because it was painful.? I did some bad things. But it was all for a reason, in a way. And it?s strange to look back and think, ?God, I did all those things?? But it?s like there?s an inner voice that says, ?It?s over. Done. Move on.?
PITT: So you?re embracing all your mistakes. You?re saying, ?Let?s be our foibles, our embarrassment. There?s beauty in that.?I?m seeing that these days. I think we?re living in a time where we?re extremely judgmental and quick to treat people as disposable. We?ve always placed great importance on the mistake. But the next move, what you do after the mistake, is what really defines a person. We?re all going to make mistakes. But what is that next step? We don?t, as a culture, seem to stick around to see what that person?s next step is. And that?s the part I find so much more invigorating and interesting.
HOPKINS: We?ve all screwed up.
[From Interview Magazine]
Forgiveness is a big part of a lot of these addiction programs. To forgive oneself, and to seek forgiveness from those you have harmed or hurt. It?s a good thing, I think, in general and in principle. But what bugs me about Brad discussing this is that he quickly found a way to forgive himself, and then he spent several years smearing Angelina Jolie because she dared to leave him and dared to try to protect their children from him. It?s just a reminder that for some people, the alcoholism IS the toxicity. But some people are just toxic with or without booze. So I have to ask? had Brad ?forgiven? Angelina for leaving? Because it doesn?t seem like he has.

Sometimes I can?t tell if Brad Pitt really is this sad, lonely figure or if he?s performing ?sad loneliness? because that?s his new brand/persona. The persona was basically the only one left to him in the past three years since Angelina left him. He?s not spending much time with his kids, and for more than two years, he couldn?t even see his kids without a neutral third-party observer present. He tried to make ?Brad?s new girlfriend? happen a few times and it always seemed rather? forced. And so the one persona left to him is ?the guy who sits alone in an art studio and sculpts.? Don?t get me wrong, I love being alone and being in a quiet, pretty art space for days, weeks and months at a time sounds like heaven. Maybe it?s heaven for Brad too a chance for him to reflect and think and create art. He seems pleased with all of his sculpting too. He chatted with The Hollywood Reporter about it:
A couple of years ago, Rambling Reporter incorrectly reported that Brad Pitt skipped the Academy Awards on the night when his Plan B-produced Moonlight took home the top prize in favor of sculpting at Thomas Houseagos headquarters. But Pitt recently revealed to The New York Times that actually, on that particular evening Feb. 26, 2017, he had zero eyes on the small screen when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway screwed up the best picture Oscar hand-over because he was focused on a plate of spaghetti at the home of filmmaker friend James Gray for one the latter?s legendary Sunday night dinners.
What?s true is that Pitt was, at the time, beginning his exploration of the art of sculpture with Houseago?s help ? and he?s still doing it. ?I?ve been in training, you know,? Pitt told Rambling Reporter at the L.A. premiere of his and Gray?s space epic Ad Astra on Sept. 18. He?s spent hours learning the craft, even traveling with Houseago to the Venice Biennale and checking out exhibits from Paris to L.A. ?Im learning a lot and I love it. It?s a really solo, all on your own venture.?
As for whether the world will ever see the works he?s creating, Pitt was characteristically coy. ?If I were to find something that I felt was original to my own vernacular in that way and it had something to add, then yeah. But If I felt it was too derivative of the greats, then no.?
[From THR]
You know what I wonder? I wonder if Brad?s sculptures just look like knockoff Thomas Houseago sculptures. Brad is basically apprenticing with Houseago and I would imagine that Brad is just learning how to sculpt exactly like Houseago. That?s not a bad thing that?s how many artists start, by copying other artists? work to see if they can understand and master the techniques used. I would be curious to see Brad?s work just to see if my suspicions are true. I?d also like to know if Sculptor Brad is just a phase until he figures out his next persona.

| Brad Pitt: 'Trump represents a much bigger threat on such more serious issues' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Brad Pitt is still a winemaker. I think about that sometimes. I don?t even think that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt leased/bought the Chateau Miraval with the intention of becoming master winemakers. But that?s what happened. They began to use the Miraval vineyards and they slowly worked out a process for a ros, and lo and behold, the Miraval ros is now an award-winning, sought-after wine. So as Brad Pitt has been doing press around Ad Astra, he ended up chatting with the French newspaper Journal du Dimanche. They discussed the Miraval wine and whether sales could be affected by a potential Trump tariff on French wine.
Brad Pitt has his concerns about President Donald Trump. In a new interview with French newspaper Journal du Dimanche, the Ad Astra actor ? who also owns a French vineyard with ex Angelina Jolie ? was asked his feelings about a tariff Trump has publicly considered imposing on French wine.
?I do not know,? Pitt said, noting that he didn?t ?know enough? about the issue.
?I think we will always drink ros in the United States,? he said, adding that ultimately, whether or not Trump does impose tariffs on French wine, there are much bigger issues at stake. ?Unfortunately, it?s almost anecdotal. Trump represents a much bigger threat on such more serious issues.?
Pitt and Jolie bought the Miraval Estate in Provence in 2012, and despite their split, they remain committed to their winemaking. Chateau Miraval?s award-winning line of wines includes its signature ros which they have been selling since 2013, and was ranked as one of the top wines in the world. (Trump also has a winery in Charlottesville, Virginia.)
[From People]
Yeah, I think that?s how many people feel about Trump?s trade wars and tariffs and threats and bullying like, it?s all kind of insane, but he?s doing SO MANY insane things that even expending the brain power to care about a potential French wine tariff just seems like a waste. There are literally babies in cages on the border. There are literally white supremacists, inspired by Trump, shooting up Walmarts. There are literally a dumpsters worth of impeachable offenses. Besides all that? it?s not like the Chateau Miraval is some gigantic wine producer. Their sales are international, for sure, but they?re basically just above ?boutique wine.? My point is that a tariff on French wine wouldn?t make that big of a difference. And Brad is right, Americans still love ros. If I was still drinking, ros is basically the only wine I could handle (the sickest I?ve ever been is ?drunk on Cab Sav?).
