He's certainly accustomed to frequent travels, and Brad Pitt was spotted prepping for an outbound flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday afternoon (February 23).
The "Megamind" hunk was decked out in an all-black ensemble complete with his penchant newsboy cap as he shuffled through the metro terminal en route to a departing aircraft.
Pitt's jet-setting sighting comes amidst reports telling that he's in the midst of building an apartment on the grounds of his French property for his parents, Bill and Jane.
A source told The Sun newspaper, "The whole family is going to move there as soon as the renovations are done. At the moment they have six nannies - one for each of the kids - and the plan is to get rid of the helpers and rely on Bill and Jane."
The insider added, "They don't want them dragged around the world any longer. Brad is traditional and wants them to put down roots and have friends and go to the same school, rather than constantly moving."

Spending the day hard at work, Brad Pitt squeezed in a nicotine fix in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday (February 17).
The "Megamind" stud looked in fine form as he chatted with a friend before lighting up a cigarette and texting on his Blackberry Torch.
The work efforts come amidst more bizarre rumors from the National Enquirer claiming that Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie are fighting over money.
The Enquirer's insider alleges, ?Right now Brad and Angie?s love affair is hanging by a thread. Brad is demanding that they reduce household staff, scale back on travel, artwork, expensive wine, buying up the most buzzed about scripts and books in Hollywood and rein in their charitable donations."
The source continued, ?Their combined net worth is an estimated $250 million, but they?re spending more than they?re bringing in. Brad recently fired one of his most trusted employees as well as the children?s French tutor, telling them, ?I can?t afford you anymore.?"
Not stopping there, the Enquirer's insider told, ?It?s hard to believe two of the biggest movie stars in the world need to pinch pennies. But they are facing some harsh financial realities just like millions of other families all across America. When Brad warned Angie that they needed to cut costs, she called him selfish and petty. They are maintaining an uneasy truce for the sake of the kids, but who knows when the next big blowup will come? They?ve had problems in the past, but now it seems money issues could be what finally does them in.?

Situated on the west coast for work duties, Brad Pitt kindly greeted a handful of fans as he stepped in and out of rehearsals for a smoke break in Los Angeles on Monday (February 14).
The "Megamind" hunk appeared happily doted kisses and hugs on the elated females on-hand, after which he listened to his MP3 player while checking out his nearby motorcycle.
Aside from his filming duties, Brad's partner Angelina Jolie's rep has recently shot down rumors of another adoption - deeming the talk as untrue.
The spokesperson told: ?There is no truth to these rumors. Angelina is focused on enhancing the welfare and legal protection of children within Haiti. As such, she has been meeting with government of Haiti officials, Haitian legal experts and non-governmental organizations regarding a new initiative of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. The recently launched Jolie Legal Fellows Program will assist the justice system in Haiti to improve child protection.?

| Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie spent $300 at a Missouri Kmart | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This is just a nice little story to cleanse your palate from yesterday?s Star Magazine cover story about Angelina Jolie needing to go to rehab (which, yes, had very little to do with heroin, despite the cover line lie). This story is about the Jolie-Pitts trip to Missouri last week, and where they went. Apparently, Angelina and Brad are Kmart shoppers. For real. Us Weekly reports that Angelina and Brad went to Kmart (with Pax and Zahara) in Springfield, Missouri, and spent about $300. Now, I?m not some kind of hardcore elitist, but even I don?t shop at Kmart. Is the Kmart in my town particularly trashy? Yes, it is. I always feel like I?m about to be stabbed just driving by the place. So what does it say about Angelina and Brad that they shop at Kmart?
Venice, Paris? Missouri? After celebrating Christmas in Namibia (and donating $2 million to an area wildlife sanctuary), globetrotting couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie rang in the new year with some very American activities.
Visiting Brad?s parents in Missouri December 27, they, along with Pax and Zahara, went on a Kmart shopping spree.
?They spent about $300 on cosmetics and toys,? says an onlooker. The next day, they hit a Barnes & Noble in Springfield with Zahara and Shiloh to buy Nook digital readers.
Upon their return to LA later in the week, their average-joe adventures continued. The brood - minus Knox and Vivienne had dinner on January 2 at tourist fave Benihana, where a chef grilled for the group tableside.
Says a witness, ?they looked like they were having fun!?
[From Us Weekly, print edition]
Cosmetics and toys? You?re going to go bargain shopping at Kmart and you?re not even going to check out the Martha Stewart Everyday Living line? The hell? Martha sells some nice stuff at Kmart. That?s the only reason to even visit!
Also - Benihana? Is that better or worse than taking the kids to McDonalds? I think it?s about the same, don?t you? Brangelina: Just like us. Next thing you know, the paparazzi will get a shot of Brad scratching his balls on the front lawn while Angelina files her nails as she watches The Price Is Right.

In addition to spending their Christmas in Namibia where they monitored Empress Zahara?s growing shank-eye, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt also spent some time in some kind of wildlife sanctuary/resort - that?s what the photo is from. When they left Namibia a few days after Christmas, they made a donation, through their foundation, to the sanctuary. The donation? Two million dollars. Day-um.
Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated two million US dollars (1.2m) to a wildlife sanctuary in Namibia, where they spent Christmas with their children.
Jolie gave birth to the couple’s daughter Shiloh, in Swakopmund, Namibia, in 2006.
They chose to return there with Shiloh, now four, and her five siblings, three of whom are adopted, for Christmas.
“We want (Shiloh) to grow up with an understanding of her country of birth,” Angelina said.
The family stayed at the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary, 26 miles outside of Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, while they were there.
Run by physician Dr Rudie van Vuuren and his wife Marlice, the 10,000 hectare sanctuary accommodates mostly orphaned and injured animals that cannot be released back into the wild, including lions, leopards and cheetahs and baboons. It also provides luxury accommodation, the proceeds of which go towards conservation projects.
When the couple dropped in on the sanctuary for Christmas, their children watched Dr van Vuuren stitch the wounds of a wild dog. They also witnessed the release of a leopard back into the wild.
As a parting gift, the couple donated the money to the sanctuary.

That?s nice. I wonder? you have to pay a fee to stay at the resort, I suppose, and then perhaps you are encouraged to donate, in addition to the flat rate? Do you think that?s how it works?

Just after celebrating Christmas in Namibia (with Empress Zahara?s magnificent shank-eye), the Jolie-Pitt family made their way to Missouri for the new year. That?s where Brad?s entire family lives - his parents, his brother Doug and his sister Julie, and all of their families. A few days ago, Angelina and the girls were spotted at a Springfield Barnes & Noble (photo here) and a K-Mart. Radar reports that they were only in town a few days before they flew to yet another destination (unknown). But before they left, Brad and Angelina took a tour of the St. John?s Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center, the center which Brad and Angelina helped fund through their foundation (photo here):
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on the move again.
On Wednesday, just days after celebrating the holidays in Namibia, Africa, the couple made an impromptu stop at the St. John?s Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center in Springfield, Mo., the town where Pitt grew up.
“They called a little bit ahead, about an hour ahead, and requested to tour the pediatric center,” hospital spokesperson Cora Scott said Thursday. “They stayed about 45 minutes. It was a very nice visit.”
Last year, Pitt and Jolie, along with Pitt’s brother and sister and their families, donated $1 million to St. John’s Foundation for Community Health and dedicated the pediatric cancer center to Pitt’s mother, Jane.
“Jane Pitt is a gem in our community,” Scott said. “She’s a very wonderful woman who cares so very much about the well being of children.”
During the visit Wednesday, the Hollywood couple were accompanied by Pitt’s parents and his brother Doug.
According to Scott, Pitt and Jolie didn’t mention their New Year Eve’s plans, but for now it seems that the couple and their six kids are spending time with their extended family.

That was nice of them. I like how focused they are on drawing attention to local Missouri charities as well as international charities. I think part of it is that Brad?s brother Doug is some big deal in Missouri? there were even rumors that Doug was considering a run for public office, which would be interesting. Anyway, happy New Year to the Jolie-Pitts. May they bring us more gossip in 2011.

This is a new photo of Angelina, Brad, Shiloh and the Empress in Namibia, day unknown. Apparently the other people in the larger photo (below) are the Jolie-Pitts? hosts in Namibia, at least for the weekend. One of the adult men is Dr. Rudie van Vuuren, a ?famous physician, cricket player and conservationist.? Sure. I?ll buy that! I have two favorite things about this photo - one, Shiloh?s shaggy hair. She?s growing out her pixie cut, and it looks adorable. My second favorite, and maybe my favorite thing of all time: Empress Zahara?s side-eye cutting like a goddamn knife. Who is she about to shank with her eyes? Her MOTHER? The Empress friggin? slays me.
Angelina Jolie held Zahara while Brad Pitt had Shiloh in his arms as they posed with their host family and a few new friends in Namibia over the weekend. The Jolie-Pitts are in Shiloh’s birth country staying with Dr. Rudie van Vuuren, a famous physician, cricket player and conservationist, his wife Marlice, also a well known conservationist, and their son Zacheo.
The family runs the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary and Lodge, where Brad, Angelina, and their kids decided to spend Christmas this year. Angelina and Brad were spotted doing last minute gift shopping on Friday, ensuring a special holiday for their six kids. Brad is finishing out his year of facial hair with sexy stubble while Shiloh’s famous blond locks are growing out. The Jolie-Pitt family is always among the most talked about stars and in 2010 Angelina and Brad kept their passion strong all year long.

A few days ago, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted in Namibia. They were photographed doing some last-minute shopping for the kids (photo here, at Radar). Angelina had already said in an interview that they planned to spend Christmas traveling and ?having an adventure?. So the adventure was a trip to Namibia, Shiloh?s birthplace.
Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and all the little Jolie-Pitts are spending Christmas in Namibia, RadarOnline.com has learned. The couple was spotted yesterday doing some last minute holiday shopping at a mall in the city of Windhoek, and RadarOnline.com has the pictures.
The coastal African nation of Namibia is where the couple’s daughter Shiloh was born on May 27, 2006.
Angelina tipped her hand about the family’s Christmas vacation plans in a recent interview.
“We’re going to travel with the kids and go to a random part of the world,” she told Larry King. “We’re going to travel and have an adventure because that’s what we love to do.”
By the looks of the shopping cart loaded with toys Angie was seen pushing through the mall, the kids woke up to a very merry Christmas this morning.
[From Radar]
It?s kind of nice. Maybe Angelina and Brad are thinking about starting that Namibian charity in Shiloh?s name, like they?ve always claimed they would. As for spending the holidays in Africa? eh. I mean, it works for them, and as the Brangeloonies pointed out (meaning ?they yelled at me?), the Jolie-Pitt family goes to Missouri every other Christmas, and spend the other times traveling and adventuring. Also, I had this thought: they spent much of the past three months or so in the snowy, freezing cold of Budapest, Hungary. They might want to just be somewhere warm, you know?
Here?s a clip from Angelina?s 2006 interview with Ann Curry when she was pregnant with Shiloh, and the family was in Namibia.

Spending yet another holiday away from the States, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were busy preparing for the holidays with a shopping session at a mall in Windhoek, Namibia.
The couple picked up a load of toys for their brood of kiddies, with the African retail romp coming on Thursday evening (December 23).
As for their ties to Namibia, the "Mr and Mrs Smith" co-star couple's biological daughter Shiloh was born in the country back in May 2006.
Talking about the family's travel plans prior to jetting to Namibia, Ang told Larry King Live, "We're going to travel with the kids and go to a random part of the world. We're going to travel and have an adventure because that's what we love to do."

Angelina Jolie spoke to her nemesis on Friday? no, not Jennifer Aniston. Not Chelsea Handler, either, although that?s closer. No, she spoke to her nemesis Ryan Seacrest, the little diva who bashed her several years ago, and who Angelina and Brad have gone out of their way to ignore on several award show red carpets. Perhaps Angelina was just in ?saleswoman? mode, and she just wanted to get The Tourist?s press tour over with. Perhaps Angelina and Dame Seacrest finally buried the hatchet. Whatever? the full radio interview can be heard here, and here are some of the highlights of their conversation:
Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their globetrotting family won’t be staying put for Christmas.
“We’re going to travel with the kids and go to a random part of the world,” Jolie told Ryan Seacrest on his KIISFM radio show Friday. “We’re going to travel and have an adventure because that’s what we love to do.”
It’s hard to image when the mother of six, who’s currently promoting her latest film The Tourist, has had time to shop for Christmas, but Jolie says she has all the kids’ gifts taken care of.
“I’ve got it all boxed and ready to go,” Jolie, 35, says. “I went through it today. I’m trying to get every stocking right and all the wrapping paper.”
And after the holidays? It’s back to work for Jolie, who just wrapped filming on her directorial debut in Hungary.
“I go into the editing room in January for a few months,” she said, adding that her animated sequel Kung Fu Panda 2 will be out in the spring.
“I’m a little schizophrenic,” she joked of her wide-ranging film choices, “but somehow it works out.”
[From Us Weekly and People]
I sent this story to CB on Friday, and we were chatting about it back and forth throughout the weekend, for some reason. CB thinks it would be nice if Angelina, Brad and the kids spent the holidays at home - or one of their homes. She doesn?t get why they always have to ?travel? and ?have adventures? for the holidays. I theorized that it was probably one of the few times during the year that the kids are out of school and no one has to work and they can travel as a family and do something all together. I don?t know, though. Perhaps Angelina is just trying to be ?different?. I think it would nice if one year, their ?exotic? holiday locale was just Missouri, you know? Spend the time with Brad?s family, have a Christmas tree, do a brunch. EXOTIC.
