Charlize Theron covers the new issue of Vogue, the June issue. The theme of the Mario Testino shoot is beachy and athletic, lots of swimwear and resort-collection clothes. It suits Charlize ? she?s got that model figure, but she also looks strong and athletic. She covers the mag because she?s promoting A Million Ways To Die In the West, and Seth MacFarlane is quoted extensively throughout the piece. You can tell he adores her, and she really liked being part of the movie too ? she talks a bit about how she?s typecast as an ?icy bitch,? and how she reveled in the chance to play a different kind of character. You can read the full piece here (she talks over screwdrivers and steaks). She has a lot to say about Sean Penn. It?s actually a really interesting profile and it was difficult to cull the most significant quotes because there were so many.
On marriage: ?I mean, I really do understand the importance and what that ceremony represents to so many people, but it?s just such a personal thing. Let?s put it this way: I never had the dream of the white dress. And watching other people getting married? I think it?s beautiful for them, but to be quite honest, usually I?m sitting there just devastated. It?s supposed to be this night of celebrating love, and all you see is a couple separated all night making sure everybody else is OK. It just looks like a lot of work. And as you get older, you start sifting through the stuff that really matters? A lot of people want to make it about my past, my mom and dad not being in a great marriage, but I will tell you honestly: I have had a good amount of healthy therapy about it, and it really isn?t about that. Because I think that would kind of showcase itself more in a fear of long-term relationships, which I don?t have at all. I want the long-term relationship. And I don?t really know how to invest in the other thing.?
Mommyhood & Sean Penn: ?Look, we?re dating, and I don?t think we were trying to hide anything. We were photographed; the relationship was kind of written about? What I will say is, I was single for a really long time. I was enjoying mommyhood. You just naturally become kind of selfish about your time, and all of it is dedicated to this little thing, whether he needs it or not. And then they get into more of a schedule and you start to think, Wow, wait a second. There?s this passionate creature in me. And going about dating in your late 30s is such a different ball game. I know so well what I want to fit in my life. And the simple answer to that is: Unless he can make my life better? My life is really pretty f–king good?
Friends first with Sean: ?What I guess I am trying to say is: A friend kind of stepped into that role, and I really didn?t see it coming. Sean and I have known each other for eighteen years. We were just really good friends. And it?s been slow going because you are aware that you could screw that up and lose it. We had to think about it. But at the end of the day, it was somewhat effortless. It just kind of naturally happened, and before I knew it, I was in something that was making my life better?the people who really love me can see the effect it has had on me. The last time I was dating, I was 24. I was like, ?Awww, you?re miserable and moody, but I?m just going to forgive that because you?re so cute! Oh, you treat me so badly, but maybe that will change in five years when I have your children!? ? She drains her cocktail and orders another. ?That just doesn?t exist anymore.?

See? It?s interesting. I know a lot of people think Charlize?s thing with Sean will end badly, and yes, it probably will. But I don?t begrudge her the relationship. I think Sean makes her happy? for now. We?ll see what it?s like long-term.
She talks more about hitting ?rock bottom? in her 30s and asking for a reference to a good therapist from a friend. She also talks a lot about Jackson, his personality and how she always wanted to adopt, even when she was just a kid herself. She references Stuart Townsend when she talks about adoption, saying: ?But even in my relationship with Stuart, that was something I was very clear about. We had very different ideas of what a family looked like. There?s no judgment; that was not the reason why we broke up, but when we did, adopting was not a last resort for me?it was almost like a first resort.? That?s interesting, isn?t it? I?ll buy that adoption wasn?t ?the reason? they split, but it?s probably a big factor ? he wanted to have biological kids and she wanted to adopt. Interesting.

Is it wrong to love these photos from last night?s premiere of A Million Ways To Die In the West? Is it wrong to look at them and think, ?Wow, Charlize Theron is totally going to get pregnant with Sean Penn?s baby?? Sean and Charlize made their second major red carpet joint-appearance in less than two weeks last night. Sean even managed to look? well, he still looked grumpy, but he also looked pleased to be with Charlize and supporting her and her premiere. He just has a grumpy-face.
Charlize wore Dior Resort 2015. I?m okay with it ? I like the way the top is cut, but the skirt part is meh to me. She?s wearing a ton of makeup too ? you can really see it in the close-up. Considering we see her all the time in paparazzi photos when she?s barely wearing any makeup, I think I can safely say? she doesn?t need all of that. She?s a beautiful woman. Sean Penn thinks so too. He?s totally going to get her pregnant.
Sarah Silverman and Michael Sheen also made their second red carpet appearance as a couple! Like Charlize and Sean, their first coupled-up appearance was at the Met Gala. I like him a lot, I?m not sure what I think of her. They just seem like such an odd couple to me.

At the end of the day, I think Sean Penn and Charlize Theron were honestly one of my favorite couples at the Met Gala. It was just such a surprise to see Sean on the red carpet with Charlize, on her fashiony turf, with him coming to play the game, following the dress code and even being cool with how Charlize towered over him. Yes, he still looks like a ham hock. But he?s more interesting now that he?s with Charlize. I think she actually is changing him for the better. Anyway, I?m including more coupled-up photos of Charlize and Sean ? they changed clothes to go to the Met Gala after-parties, and then they were seen walking around NYC yesterday, hand-in-hand. Here?s more about Charlize and Sean?s behavior at the Met Gala afterparty:
It’s official, Charlize Theron and Sean Penn really like each other. The couple looked sophisticated and sweet as they held hands at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City Monday, May 5, but they got extra close at an after party following the glamorous gala.
Theron, 38, who stunned in a strapless Dior Haute Couture white crepe gown, was dancing sexily to Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Got Your Money” with beau, Penn, 53, at an exclusive star-studded after party at the Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly.
The couple enjoyed each other’s company on the roof top portion of the nightclub, where they smoked cigarettes and sipped on their drinks. At one point, the source adds, “they play fought with each other” and Theron started “biting on his neck” before they started “rigorously making out.”

Drinking? smoking? play fighting? neck-biting? making out. Is this high school?! Sean Penn is 53, Charlize is 38. But their love burns with intensity, like young lovers. Maybe that?s the way it should be. Because quite honestly, this seems like the happiest Sean has been in years, and same with Charlize. God, I can?t believe that I?m actually sort of rooting for them as a couple now.
PS? But seriously, why is Sean?s face always so red and ham-like now?!

My mouth just fell open when I saw that The Fiercest Bitch In All The Land, Charlize Theron, brought SEAN PENN as her date to the 2014 Met Gala. I mean, of course, we all know that Charlize and Sean have been dating for more than four months. But to walk one of the biggest red carpets of the year together?! That?s huge. And it?s on HER terms too. This isn?t the Oscars, where Sean is on equal footing as an Oscar winner and Hollywood power player. This is the fashion world, where Charlize has been ruling for more than a decade. This feels more like Charlize showing off her man at the big event.
Anyway, Charlize and Sean not only came together, they stuck to the theme, which was supposed to be black-and-white. Anna Wintour even wanted all of the dudes to wear white-tie. I can only think that Charlize just dressed Sean Penn. Like, did she order his suit?! Charlize?s dress is Dior, but of course. Her dress is stunning, and I like the black jacket on her shoulders too. It?s a very sophisticated look from a woman who almost always looks great. PS? I love her hair and her jewelry.
Oh, and Marion Cotillard was there too, also in Dior (she?s a Dior Girl, just like Charlize and J-Law). I kind of think Marion got the short end of the stick from Dior ? Charlize got a goddess dress and Marion got a short party frock? It?s a cute dress, it?s just more appropriate for a movie premiere, not the Met Gala. PS? LOOK AT HER SHOES.

Rocking a black-and-white Dior gown, the "Monster" actress struck a pose with her beau on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's red carpet.
This year, the Met Gala celebrates legendary American couturier Charles James, who has a whole exhibit called ?Charles James: Beyond Fashion? to pay tribute to his vast contributions over the years.
One of fashion?s top names Zac Posen sang Mr. James? praises in a recent interview- "James' balance of structure, glamour and technique...he was a scientist as well as an emotional artist, and the pieces are elegant, glamorous and erotic. I have had a sneak peek of the exhibit, and it looks spectacular.?

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Charlize Theron do something other than walk a red carpet or around LA getting coffee. Here she is at a photo shoot in Miami wearing 3 different outfits. One of them being a bikini which is the only reason I needed to post these pictures.
I’d like to think the guy in the photo up top was telling her, “Rub your nipples,” and Charlize was all, “Like this?” Mm, yea, baby. Just like that.

They both love the outdoors so it?s no wonder Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were feeling romantic while out on the beach in Malibu on Tuesday (March 11).
Joined by Theron?s son Jackson and the family dogs, the ?Italian Job? actress threw her arms around her ?Mystic River? man as they flirted on the shore.
Earlier this week, Penn returned from a solo trip to Dublin, Ireland where he was the guest of honor at the Front Line Defenders Awards.
And rumor has it that Sean and Charlize are already looking at the possibility of moving in together despite the short duration of their romance.

I was really, really hoping that Charlize Theron and Sean Penn would come to the Oscars together. I knew Charlize was presenting, and I just thought ? ?Hey, that would be really interesting to see them make their red carpet couple debut at the Oscars!? But it was not to be. Charlize brought her mom Gerda to the Oscar ceremony, then Charlize was strangely absent from all of the major after-parties. No Charlize at the VF party, no Charlize at Elton John?s shindig. So, did she just go home with her mom? Of course not. She dropped Gerda off and then Charlize joined Sean Penn? at Madonna?s Oscar party. Partying at your boyfriend?s ex-wife?s Oscar party? Oh, dear. And it totally gets worse:
Leave it to Madonna to be a good sport. As per tradition, the pop legend, 55, hosted her annual Oscars after-party on Sunday, March 2 at the L.A. mansion of her manager Guy Oseary, with festivities raging from 10 p.m. to around 6 a.m.. Among the night’s many, many A-list guests were her ex-husband Sean Penn and his girlfriend, Charlize Theron.
Fellow Oscar winners Penn, 53, and Theron, 38, were “making out like crazy” and “all over each other” on the dance floor, an observer at the bash tells Us Weekly. “They were the talk of the party — even Madonna noticed!” Penn and Madonna divorced way back in 1989; she eventually married and divorced Guy Ritchie, while he divorced Robin Wright after 14 years in 2010.
Still, the former couple’s four-year union was passionate, and the Material Girl’s close pal Debi Mazar recently quipped that Penn remains Madonna’s “one true love.” Over the years, Penn was supported his ex-wife at concert performances, and she recently joined him in Haiti on a humanitarian project.
Regardless, Penn and Theron’s makeout session was on display for all to see — including attendees Julia Roberts, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Miley Cyrus, Tom Ford, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi, John Travolta and Kelly Preston . . . even Madonna’s teenagers!

Ordinarily, I wouldn?t even think ?Poor Madonna? about anything. Madge does not need anyone?s sympathy. Madonna sees empathy as weakness. The Gristle will crush your sympathy!! But I felt a wave of sympathy for her here. I believe that Madge and Sean Penn still have unfinished business with each other, and it feels? cruel? Like, Sean and Charlize could have gone to any after-party. But they went to his ex-wife?s party and they made out like crazy and Madge ?noticed.? Must have been hard. Or maybe I?m just projecting. Even if you know intellectually that you shouldn?t be with someone ever again, there?s still some residual stuff. And Charlize? well, she?s tall, young, beautiful and making out with Madonna?s ex-husband, the man Madonna once called the love of her life. Rough stuff.

I spent way too much time last night trying to figure out what part of Charlize Theron?s Dior gown was nude netting and what part was just being held up by #God. When Charlize first entered the red carpet, I thought her dress was all DRAMA. But I have to admit, in the cold, hard light of day? the drama was live, in motion. In still photos, the Dior looks kind of flat. I was also disappointed that Charlize didn?t bring Sean Penn as her date! But that?s another story.
Back to the dress and the styling? live on the red carpet, I really liked the dress and I thought, ?Well, Charlize knocked it out of the park again, like always.? But look at the detailing on this dress? while the top part is stunning and beautifully tailored, I don?t care for the skirt at all. Those tiered panels on the mermaid skirt? It?s been done a million times and I?ve always disliked it. But! Charlize?s necklace did make up for it. Charlize was decked out in $15 million worth of Harry Winston diamonds, including that absolutely stunning necklace.
And because Charlize presented with him (and he put me to sleep), here?s Chris Hemsworth and his ready-to-pop wife Elsa Pataky. I didn?t even see them on the pre-shows, so this is my first glance at Elsa. I do feel for her. I mean, she?s beyond thrilled to be on the red carpet and she?s bathing in all of the attention, but I bet she was uncomfortable too. Elsa wore Elie Saab, just like Angelina Jolie. I would have loved to have seen this color on Angelina, but it works on Elsa. I mean, what do you want me to say? Elsa looked nice. It wasn?t a bold, avant-garde maternity choice but I don?t expect that from her. They make an attractive couple. Okay, I?ll give it to you Hemsworth-loonies? he looks sort of over it. But I doubt he actually is.
