I get the feeling that there?s a lot of love between Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult. Am I alone in thinking that? I?m not saying they have some kind of romantic history (or future), just that she adores him and loves working with him and maybe he sees her as some kind of big sister. They worked together on Mad Max: Fury Road, and then she likely got Hoult the part in Dark Places. These photos are from the Paris premiere of Dark Places. Charlize Wore a simple, elegant black Dior. She looks amazing.
As for Hoult? well, he?s Bedhead?s crush/love. If she hadn?t claimed him, I might be tempted to say something about how sexy he looks. It?s weird, right? He?s traditionally handsome, but he gives off a sweet/nerdy vibe. God, I would have been all over that back in the day. I still think Jennifer Lawrence is an idiot for letting this one go. As for this adaptation of Gillian Flynn?s Dark Places? I?m still not convinced that Charlize is the one, but I?ll probably watch it.
Meanwhile, the second full-length trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road was released yesterday. This movie looks straight-up, balls-out INSANE. It upsets me, quite frankly, but I don?t do well with post-apocalyptic crap. Hoult looks like he?s acting his ass off and Charlize has stolen some maidens from the big bad guy. And Tom Hardy looks dirty and gorgeous.

Stepping out in the City of Lights, Charlize Theron looked lovely as she arrived at the Cinema Gaumont Capucine along with Nicholas Hoult and author Gillian Flynn on Tuesday evening (March 31).
The ?Arrested Development? actress was in the house for the Paris premiere of her new movie ?Dark Places? and garnered plenty of attention in her glittery designer dress.
Also starring Chloe Moretz, Corey Stoll and Christina Hendricks, ?Dark Places? is slated to hit theaters later this year. Per the synopsis, ?A woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child is forced to confront the events of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes.?

Stepping out for some promotional duties, Sean Penn attended the Los Angeles premiere of his new film ?The Gunman? at Regal Cinemas LA Live last night (March 12).
The ?Mystic River? hunk was joined by his lovely lady Charlize Theron as he posed for photos ahead of the big screening.
Slated to hit theaters on March 20th, ?The Gunman? also stars Idris Elba, Ray Winstone and Javier Bardem. Per the synopsis, ?A former Special Forces soldier and military contractor, suffering from PTSD, goes on the run from London to Barcelona and across Europe.?

Here are some photos of Sean Penn and his girlfriend (ugh!) Charlize Theron at the LA premiere of his film, The Gunman, last night. Charlize looks pretty in this relatively simple Gucci minidress. She has a killer body, so she can wear pretty much anything. Am I the only one wondering what Charlize?s reaction was to Robin Wright?s Vanity Fair cover interview? Robin threw some magnificent shade at Sean, making him sound cruel and like he wasn?t really all that great as a lover. Which is weird, because I kind of think Charlize has been in a total sex haze for the past year with Sean.
Meanwhile, Penn appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (was he there at the same time as Pres. Obama?!) and Penn mentioned that he and Charlize watch The Bachelor together. Which is? um???? If you care about The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Penn is Team Kaitlyn (for the new Bachelorette). Penn also says that he and Charlize argue about what parts they should fast-forward through, because he doesn?t ?really want to hear the conversations?I want to know the decisions. Is he gonna decide on this one or this one? And I want to see somebody cry. And then see somebody get ecstatic ? and then see them cry.” This is like the very definition of random.
Oh, I?m also including photos of Pamela Anderson with her son Brandon Thomas Lee. Good God, look at Brandon!!! He?s 18 years old now. Pam looks good, although that hair is totally Laura Bush. I get that Pam wants a more conservative look, but there are many other cute, age-appropriate hairstyles .

Here are some photos from last night?s London premiere of The Gunman. Charlize Theron is not in The Gumman, but Sean Penn is the lead, so Charlize came out to support her lover. Charlize?s gown is Halston Heritage and it?s an okay look. It doesn?t say ?look at me, this is my film.? It says ?my boyfriend stars in this junk.? So, completely suitable and nothing more. I don?t have a problem with her styling here, only that I sort of miss Charlize with really short hair. She rocks short hair better than nearly any other celebrity woman.
I watched the trailer for The Gunman for the first time just now, as I was writing up this post, and let me tell you? I guess Sean Penn needed money? Because this film looks like the kind of shoot ?em up action/thriller ?dude movie? that you would see Bruce Willis starring in. I?m actually sort of shocked to see Penn in the lead role. Girl, are you poor?!
It?s got good people in it. Javier Bardem looks like a sexy beast and it?s always nice to see Idris Elba, of course. Idris came out to the premiere too (I?m including a photo below). Also: Idris is scheduled to present at the Oscars this year. So far, Charlize and Sean are NOT scheduled. Huh.
What else? Charlize isn?t that much taller than Sean in real life, without shoes. She?s probably only an inch or two taller than him. So why does she wear three-inch heels (Stuart Weitzman) and then slouch beside him? Just wear flats! Or maybe he likes how tall she is. You ever know.

Here are some assorted photos of Charlize Theron out and about in LA this week. She went out to dinner with Sean Penn at Craig?s several nights ago, and she was with her son Jackson at what looks like his preschool yesterday. Charlize doesn?t have any films coming out at the moment, although she is scheduled to do the sequel/prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman at some point. The prequel will be called The Huntsman, and Chris Hemsworth is going to star as well, but Kristen Stewart is definitely out. I?m pretty sure director Rupert Sanders got pushed out as well. So, the film will mainly star Charlize and Chris. And as it turns out, Chris was going to be paid a lot more than Charlize. Then the Sony Hack happened and Charlize demanded equal pay with Chris. And she got it!
After the Sony hack revealed the ugly truth about unequal pay for women in Hollywood, Charlize Theron is taking a stand. She insisted that she be paid the same as her male co-star Chris Hemsworth in their upcoming movie, ?The Huntsman.?
Hollywood sources tell Page Six that standing up for her worth paid off for Theron, who negotiated via her agents at WME. She got a deal worth more than $10 million, the same as Hemsworth.
One source said, ?Charlize insisted that she get paid the same money as Chris. She has a great track record, so she got the same deal.? Another insider added: ?One knock-on effect from the Sony hacking scandal is that there will be more sensitivity about equal pay for actresses and hiring practices at movie studios.?
?The Huntsman,? a Universal picture, is a prequel to 2012?s ?Snow White and the Huntsman,? with Hemsworth and Theron reprising their roles of huntsman Eric and evil queen Ravenna. The film, directed by Frank Darabont, is in pre-production and will be released in April 2016. The deals were handled carefully because of the drama surrounding the first movie after star Kristen Stewart was caught having an affair with director Rupert Sanders. It resulted in Sanders? divorce from wife Liberty Ross and his being dropped from directing the sequel. Despite the scandal, the film was a hit, with $396.5 million at the global box office. Stewart is not in the new movie because it doesn?t involve her character.
The salary move comes after hacked Sony e-mails revealed that the female stars of ?American Hustle,? including Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams, earned less than their male co-stars Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper. A 2013 e-mail from Andrew Gumpert of Columbia Pictures, a Sony subsidiary, to studio chief Amy Pascal revealed Lawrence was paid ?7 pts? (7 percent of the movie?s profits) while Cooper, Bale and Jeremy Renner got 9 percent.
Reps for Theron, who is also believed to be getting a fair share of the new movie?s profits, didn?t get back to us.

I threw a side-eye at ?She has a great track record? because that?s not really true. Charlize was part of the reason SWATH did so well at the box office, but SWATH was only one of the very few financially successful films Charlize has done in the past five years. Still, I agree on principle that Chris Hemsworth and Charlize should be paid the same. I would even argue that Charlize is a bigger ?star? than Chris. Chris has his Marvel franchise, obviously, but he actually hasn?t proven that he can carry a large studio film if it doesn?t involve a built-in comic book audience. Charlize is more of a known quantity for a studio, plus she?s an Oscar-winner.

Here are some photos of Charlize Theron and Sean Penn on a Whole Foods grocery run over the weekend. They just returned to LA in early November, having spent months in Africa, filming a drama together. I was kind of hoping that working together would have been the death knell to this relationship, but if anything, they seem even stronger now. Who would have thought, back in January of this year, that they would actually be one of the strongest couples to get together in 2014?
Some people think that Sean is still the angry, rage monster dude that he?s always been and that Charlize probably just puts up with it. But a while back, Sean?s daughter Dylan said something interesting about Sean and Charlize?s relationship ? Dylan said that Charlize is ?awesome? and ?She’s great and they’re amazing together?she’s brilliant for one thing and she’s the only woman since my mom who can shut my dad up. The only woman! That is a f—ing challenge so… She’s a powerhouse.” Huh. So, Charlize has the superwoman strength to get Sean Penn to calm down and shut up? Isn?t that weird?
Oh, and Charlize and Sean went out two weeks ago (shortly after they got back to the US) with Dylan. Apparently, Charlize and Sean were all over each other. So? this relationship is going to last for a while longer. I?m just saying, we should prepare ourselves. I?m not sure if they?ll get married (I don?t think Charlize is interested in marriage overall), but I wouldn?t be surprised if Charlize and Sean adopted a kid together, you know?

Reason #935,582, 761 for ?Why I Would Be A Crappy Mother?: I have zero patience for tantrums, especially the tantrums of children too young to be reasoned with or bribed. I see kids at the grocery store or in various department stores having full-blown meltdowns and every single time, I think ?better her than me.? I have sympathy, of course, for the mother who has to deal with a tantrumy child, especially moms who manage to deal with it with some kind of grace, rather than resorting to a bottle of whiskey. So, how does Charlize Theron deal with it when her three-year-old son Jackson throws a tantrum? She puts him in time-out, even if they?re in the middle of a hiking trail. And that?s when the whole thing just got crazy.
Sean Penn and Charlize Theron had their morning hike interrupted by cops Thursday … after another hiker accused them of possibly mistreating Charlize’s toddler … but we’re told cops determined they did nothing wrong … TMZ has learned.
The incident went down at Vasquez Rocks in Santa Clarita, CA. Charlize and Sean were having a sunrise picnic when a female hiker with a camera stopped after she heard Charlize’s 2-year-old son Jackson screaming in a tantrum. The hiker went towards the child and started filming.
We’re told Charlize told the woman not to go near Jackson, so the hiker left and called the cops and claimed something bad might have happened to the kid.
We’re told the deputies quickly determined nothing happened. Jackson was just on a timeout and got really upset. The deputies concluded the timeout involved no physical contact, so they left and no action will be taken.

I realize that child endangerment is nothing to joke about, but can this person really not figure out the difference between ?something terrible is happening to a child? and ?that kid is a having a fit because his mom brought the wrong juice box?? It seems so? odd to me that this stranger?s first reaction was to FILM Jackson, and then call the cops on Charlize. Maybe the context was a lot different than how it was portrayed by TMZ though. This is just a bizarre story. My take: Charlize did nothing wrong on the cop-calling stranger is a nosy busybody.
Here are some photos of Sean Penn and Charlize arriving at LAX earlier this week ? they had been filming together in South Africa for months, then they took a short break in Paris. I?m actually a little bit surprised that they?re still together.

Over the summer, we heard a really funny story about Charlize Theron. Tia Mowry apparently goes to the same SoulCycle as Charlize, and Tia mentioned to In Touch Weekly that she once went over to Charlize to say ?hi? to her and Charlize?s reaction was to roll her eyes and say ?OH MY GOD.? Tia said Charlize was ?just mean.? Sources later claimed that Charlize was trying to get Tia banned from SoulCycle (what happens at SoulCycle stays at SoulCycle) but other sources were like, ?Meh, this never happened.? Tia tried to back-track a little too, but I still believe her original story. Anyway, here?s the latest:

I have no problem believing that Charlize always wears a scowl and I totally believe that she?s rude and unpleasant in general. But! I think Charlize has been in Africa, filming The Last Face with Sean Penn for the past few months. Is she even in LA? Or are these older stories of Charlize?s bitchiness? Oh, and I HATE when people are late. Is Charlize the kind of person who shows up late to a spin class?
