Purse p0rn!! Here are some photos of a very sunny-looking Charlize Theron in West Hollywood yesterday. Will Charlize dethrone Reese Witherspoon as the relatable blonde Hollywood mom? Doubtful, although I did make myself laugh with that one. Charlize?s default is set on ?hardcore? so seeing photos of her looking smiley and happy are the exception to the rule. While I usually loathe most yellow clothes, Charlize?s outfit is super-cute. And I love the purse.
Charlize is about to start work on Seth MacFarlane?s directorial follow-up to Ted, a film called A Million Ways To Die In The West. It?s supposed to be a Blazing Saddles-type cowboy comedy, and Charlize is the lead. The rest of the cast has been firmed up too, and Charlize will be supported by: Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Sarah Silverman, Giovanni Ribisi and Neil Patrick Harris. NPH!! LIAM!! Okay, that sounds really interesting.
Charlize recently came to Capitol Hill to campaign for more funding for PEPFAR, the president?s emergency AIDS relief program (which George W. Bush started).
When Charlize Theron came to Capitol Hill recently, she undoubtedly turned a few heads. But the Academy Award-winning actress didn?t come to be seen; she came to be heard.
Ten years after President Bush began an emergency AIDS relief program, known as PEPFAR, Theron is calling on the United States to renew its commitment in the global fight against HIV/AIDS.
?We’re looking at our first AIDS-free generation being born in 2015,? Theron tells Top Line. ?We can’t stop now.?
Theron runs an AIDS support program for youth from her home country of South Africa, Africa Outreach Project, where 10 percent of the population has the disease, and met with members of Congress to talk about her work. Her advocacy for continued monetary assistance comes at a time when lawmakers have little appetite for increased spending, but the South African actress says the U.S.?s contributions to foreign aid efforts are more modest than some think.
?A lot of Americans have this misperception that foreign aid is around 25 percent, which it’s not. It’s less than 1 percent,? says Theron.
Executive Director of UNAIDS Michel Sidib accompanied Theron during her Capitol Hill visit and says the United States has been a crucial partner in making progress against AIDS.
?The taxpayer’s money is producing results, starting with the commitment of President Bush, bringing the emergency plan, showing that we can really save lives of people when no one was having any hope,? Sidib says. “It was $15,000 per person per year. Today we have 8 million people on treatment. We save millions of lives.?

Charlize?s actions are admirable? but I seriously doubt she?s going to get any extra funding from Congress. And not to put it all on the House?s screwed-up spending priorities ? I doubt Pres. Obama wants to waste any political capital on PEPFAR too. Not when funding has been slashed for Meals On Wheels, Head Start, TSA, air traffic controllers, the US Geological Survey (the people monitoring volcanos and earthquakes), and the Department of Defense. I know it sucks, but there it is.

Checking in with the doc before her travels, Charlize Theron left a medical building in Culver City before heading to LAX Airport on Wednesday (April 17).
The "Snow White and the Huntsman" star wore a tan sweater with zebras on it, black pants, and sunglasses as she averted her eyes from cameras on her way through the busy terminal.
When she's not doting on her adorable son, Jackson, the 37-year-old actress is super busy with three projects in the pre-production stage.
"Dark Places," "A Million Ways to Die in the West," and "Murder Mystery" are all on the lovely Ms. Theron's plate.

Wielding her clout as an executive producer, Charlize Theron stepped behind the camera on the set of "Hatfields & McCoys" in Boston, Massachusetts on Wednesday (March 27).
The "Snow White and the Huntsman" star looked cute in her black overcoat, gray scarf, and blue jeans as she looked to be all business on the scene.
Directed by Michael Mayer, the TV movie follows the two famous feuding families in modern-day Pittsburgh.
Starring in the retelling are Sophia Bush, James Remar, Rebecca De Mornay, and Viginia Madsen. Look for "Hatfields & McCoys" on NBC sometime this year.

Not used to the chilly northeastern weather, Charlize Theron bundled up as she left James Hook Lobster Co. restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts on Monday (March 25).
The "Prometheus" star was layered in a puffy gray vest, black coat, scarf, and tall black boots as she walked outside in the cold.
On Monday, The Hollywood Reporter announced that the 37-year-old actress will co-produce and star in an untitled Paramount crime film.
The thriller revolves around a corrupt vigilante group, similar to "The Departed" and "End of Watch" and will also be produced by Ian Bryce, of "Transformers" fame.

Charlize Theron has just been looking so awesome lately. I can?t get over how her shaved head and subsequent grow-out has been the best thing for her ?look? in years. These are pics of Charlize and her son Jackson at Pinkberry in West Hollywood yesterday. I love how focused Jackson is on the fro-yo. I remember? when I was growing up, there were always Dairy Queens close enough, but finally we got a yogurt shop just down the road when I was like 8 years old. Yogurt seems like the most amazing thing when you?re a kid! Like, your parents don?t feel so guilty about letting you have yogurt as opposed to ice cream.
By the way, I love how Charlize rolls in her casual outings ? many, many Hollywood ladies should take note. Her clothes fit, they?re flattering, and I?m sure those jeans are super-expensive, and the amazing zebra sweater is probably, like, a thousand dollars. But Charlize wears it simply, so she manages to look both upmarket AND casual and cute.
Speaking of jeans, did you hear the rumor that Charlize is going to design a denim line? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlize and her stylist Leslie Fremar are ?shopping the idea for a Theron Jeans line with denim brands, which would be sold in mass-market stores.? Doing your own clothing line ? even if it?s a specialty like jeans ? seems like a Katie Holmes-type move, which is to say that it?s something actresses do to stay relevant when they?re not scoring movie roles. But maybe Charlize will be different. Maybe this will just be an awesome little side-project for her and her jeans will be amazing. *fingers crossed*

After a busy morning gym class, Charlize Theron took her little boy to Pinkberry for a treat in West Hollywood on Monday (March 11).
The "Prometheus" star looked cute in a tan sweater and dark skinnies while she held an adorable Jackson on her hip as they headed back to her car with a frozen delight.
Reportedly, the 37-year-old actress is looking to follow the footsteps of other stars and break into the world of fashion.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlize and stylist Leslie Fremar are collaborating on a Theron Jeans denim line to be sold in retail stores. When asked, Ms. Theron's rep said that she could not confirm the project.

Attention denim lovers! Charlize Theron is reportedly the latest celebrity to dive into the world of fashion design and she?s got sexy jeans on the brain.
It?s no secret that the 37-year-old actress has a killer sense of style, so it should be a smooth transition when creating her own clothing line.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlize is teaming up with stylist Leslie Fremar and other denim lines to create a brand that will hit the rack in mass-market stores.
Miss Theron?s rep still has not confirmed the project, but we?re definitely excited for the possibilities.
If the sexy South African star does indeed go forward with the creation, she will join fellow celebrity designers including Katie Holmes (Holmes & Yang), Kate Young (Kate Young for Target), and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (The Row).

Here are some new photos of Charlize Theron out in Beverly Hills with her son Jackson over the weekend. Jackson got a haircut! Charlize took him to the salon and he sat on her lap as he got a trim. Because mother and son both love a close crop, apparently. Speaking of Charlize?s hair ? how righteous does it look these days? It just keeps looking better and better, right? I thought the high point was going to be the brunette fauxhawk, but I like her hair even more in these photos. Charlize just has the face and the attitude to pull off really short hair. She rocks it!!
Meanwhile, there are still lots of rumors about Charlize and Seth MacFarlane. I don?t get it. Apparently, Seth is no longer with Emilia Clarke (the Khaleesi from Game of Thrones) and he and Charlize are circling each other. Page Six seems to have started the rumor last week, and now there?s this:
Could this year?s Academy Awards have minted more than mere Oscar gold? There?s a lot of chatter coming from Hollywood that a new romance may have been ignited, thanks to a connection made at this year?s awards ceremony and the rehearsals leading up to it.
Translation: Oscar winner Charlize Theron and host Seth MacFarlane apparently really clicked while prepping for Sunday?s big show. Along with dancing in MacFarlane?s opening musical number, Theron also pre-taped one of the reaction shots for his much-discussed ?We Saw Your Boobs? bit, spoofing famous actresses? topless or nude scenes in their films.
According to folks close to Theron, the South African native thinks MacFarlane is funny, cute and charming.
?Charlize finds Seth to be a great guy who not only makes her laugh but has so much on the ball,? said a longtime Hollywood insider who has worked with Theron for years.
Reportedly, the duo not only hung out all night after the Oscars but are planning to see each other again. ?This is early, but I see a new relationship brewing,? added a second source who attended MacFarlane?s own post-awards bash Sunday.
The timing of all this could work. MacFarlane isn?t dating anyone special, and Theron has been single since she and longtime beau Stuart Townsend ended their nine-year relationship last year.

So, will she be bangin? her director? Eh, why not? Apparently they?re both single.
