Most people won?t remember this, but in 2012 and 2013, there were a lot of rumors about Charlize Theron and Alexander Skarsgard and how they were possibly hooking up or even dating on the downlow. There were never any photos of them together and they never even walked a red carpet together, but sources all around the world insisted that they were quietly happening. Reportedly, Alex even visited Charlize on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road while she was filming in Namibia. I still don?t know if all of that was just a fever dream cooked up by coked up tabloid writers or what. But it looks like we?re going to get another round of it:
In the forthcoming political comedy Flarsky, Charlize Theron plays Seth Rogens dream girl. But a new report from Life&Style claims their co-star, Alexander Skarsgard, is the one pursuing Charlize in real-life and if the tabs claims are true, Charlize is all about it.
The mags source says the two have been flirting on set in a follow-up to their rumored 2012 relationship. Theyre keeping it as private as they can, but its hard to hide. They are both thrilled that this romance is back on, says the Life&Style insider. ?Charlize is a woman who knows what she wants and just goes for it. She did it with Alexander back then, and now she?s done it again.?
Charlize cusses and has a wicked sense of humor, which he loves, the source adds. Alexander is a serious guy, a deep thinker, and she loves that. Hes well-read, loves the classics and is a movie buff just like her. Charlize has been single since she and Sean Penn called it quits in 2015, according to the Daily Mail. Alex and Alexa Chung split last summer.

I?m not really ?into? this couple aesthetically, for what it?s worth. I like it when a boyfriend and girlfriend look really different physically. Charlize and Alex just look too much alike two blonde giants with praying mantis limbs. Don?t get me wrong, I find both of them attractive he?s the Viking and she?s the beautiful ice queen. But not together. Plus, I feel like Alex is still in the middle of something with Alexa Chung? Also: Gossip Cop said this was BS, but they also pointed out that filming on Flarsky ended in January, so it?s not like Charlize and Alex are currently working together. Huh.

Charlize Theron was in Berlin all day on Monday to promote Atomic Blonde. At first I had a total derp moment of ?why are they doing the world premiere in Berlin?? Oh, right. Because the film is set in Berlin and they filmed in and around Berlin exclusively. They are trying to give thanks to Berliners by conducting the world premiere in Berlin. So here are the photos! Sadly, James McAvoy didn?t come to Berlin. I bet he?ll come to the London premiere, and maybe the American premiere too.
But for now, please enjoy Charlize Theron?s 41-year-old ass in Dior. Charlize is a Dior girl, obviously, but this bra-top and miniskirt was probably intended for some teenage celebutante. Charlize obviously saw this and thought ?Sure, I can pull that off.? And she does. On another woman, I would think this is completely tacky. And it is, sort of, just in general. So why does it feel like Charlize is really working the sh-t out of it?
I?m also including photos of Charlize?s costar Sofia Boutella, who wore a black Chanel Fall 2017 dress with some kind of horrid satin cowl neck. Yikes. They look like they?re going to two very different events. Sofia plays Charlize?s lover in Atomic Blonde, and they seem very friendly in these photos. It?s sweet.

As Kaiser said, Charlize Theron is really earning her stripes for her The Fate of the Furious promotion. Wednesday she stopped by Ellen DeGeneres? show and brought her two kids, Jackson, 5 and August, 1, to watch backstage. As some of you may know, Ellen has a long-standing war on glitter. So, as is often the case, she asked Charlize where she stood on glitter in her home. Charlize admitted that although she didn?t buy it, it was still all over her house. I can attest to this, apparently glitter is a by-product of children production. For people like me, this is an annoyance. For people like Charlize, who has OCD, it can become more of a challenge. Charlize said, though that having two kids has actually lessened her anxiety about some of her OCD issues.
“My kids are for more glitter,” Charlize, 41, told hostEllen DeGeneres. “There is way too much of it in the house. I don’t buy it, but it’s on those costume dresses. A lot of times I’m walking through my house thinking I’m going senile, because I have a little OCD thing. I’m like, ‘Where is this glitter coming from?’ And It’s those princess dresses.”
Since first becoming a mom in 2012, “I’ve gotten a little bit better,” Charlize continued. “My kids definitely help me be less anxious about a lot of that stuff. There are certain rooms that I let go and I’ve given up on, [but] they’re allowed everywhere! Really, I am very lucky to live in our house, and they are just very nice to have me there.” Realizing her kids were watching the show backstage, Charlize told Jackson and August, “You guys are very good, and I appreciate it.”
Though she’s a single mom, Charlize said she has “an incredible village” of people who help her raise “these two beautiful kids.” As most moms would agree, it “just takes a moment” to get things in order sometimes. “In the mornings I have them alone and they kind of work against each other sometimes. It’s like one decides to freak out and then both decide to freak out. I don’t know why they’d do that,” Charlize told Ellen. “You’d think they’d stand there and be considerate and go, ‘That one’s freaking out right now; I’m not going to freak out. I’m going to be nice. I’m just going to chill out and have my mom deal with that.’ But they don’t do that.”
Ellen joked, “You really don’t know anything about children.”

Disclaimer: my son has recently been diagnosed with OCD and I am just beginning to learn about it, so I apologize for my rudimentary knowledge on the subject. When I watched the interview, I didn?t know if Charlize was using the term ?OCD? just to mean she was a neat freak, because that was kind of how it read. But no, Charlize has spoken about her OCD often. Her specific anxiety is ?hidden chaos,” such as messy closets that people just shove things in and close the doors. I find it fascinating, in a hopeful way, that having children has lessened her anxiousness. This probably wasn?t the venue for a full discourse on the topic but I would be interested to hear more on this from Charlize. According to this site, for those with extreme OCD becoming a parent can present problems. But for those who suffer from mild cases of OCD, like Charlize, it does in fact lessen the symptoms. It is believed that in these milder cases, the person?s focus is diverted from the symptoms to the children.
None of this, however, is an acceptable excuse for glitter toleration.
As for the part about thinking the kids should be considerate and sit out each other?s freak-out ? I know it?s a joke on her part but I?ll be damned if I haven?t thought the exact same thing. Like my children weren’t old enough to figure out forks don?t belong in their eyes and I thought they should willfully choose not to melt-down simply because I?d had a rough morning. I don?t know how many hours I wasted asking a baby, ?can you just not?!?? (BTW, the answer to that is almost exclusively “no.”)

Here are some photos from last night?s New York premiere of The Fate of the Furious. The New York premiere actually seemed to be a big deal, and a lot of people came out, people that I?m not going to include in this post (like Remy Ma, Scott Eastwood, Kurt Russell, etc). I?m just here to talk about fashion and some of the bigger names. Charlize Theron joined the cast as some kind of blonde-dreadlocked superhacker villainess, and Charlize has been front and center for the promotional tour. Which is nice because now we get to talk about fashion. Unfortunately, Charlize has been wearing one awful Dior look after another. This Dior is? just too dark, too overworked, too fug. She didn?t style it well either. THAT HAIR.
I forgot that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is pregnant. She looks amazing in this Brandon Maxwell. I hope Jason Statham is sticking around. Fingers crossed.
Michelle Rodriguez in Vivienne Westwood. Pretty silhouette, pretty color, I would just want to fuss with the bust of this dress a little bit.

It?s that time of year? the time when a new Fast & Furious movie is coming out and we?re about to be gifted with another promotional tour. How many times have we done this? This is the eighth movie, right? Right. The eighth movie is called? The Fate of the Furious. But don?t be fooled into thinking that this will absolutely answer all of your Fast & Furious questions. It will not, because I?m pretty sure Furious 9 and Furious 10 will be shot soon enough. Still, The Fate of the Furious is special, because they brought some very special ladies into the franchise. Dame Helen Mirren took a small part, because she?s a huge fan of the franchise. And Charlize Theron is playing ?the villain? this time, I think.
So these are photos of Charlize and Vin Diesel at the Berlin premiere of Fate/Furious. Charlize is the reason why I?m looking forward to this promotional tour. Usually, the photos are mostly useless because there isn?t any interesting fashion. But Charlize will deliver? good or bad, she?ll deliver. And I kind of think this Dior look is bad? She?s the face of J?Adore (the fragrance) and she usually gets some interesting Dior looks. This is one awkward dress though. The problem is absolutely the cut and the fit in the bust. Yikes.

Here are some photos from last night?s 2016 amfAR’s Inspiration Gala in LA. Charlize Theron was being honored for her Africa Outreach Project, which works on HIV/AIDS issues specifically in southern Africa. While Charlize?s foundation is a great thing and props to her humanitarian spirit, let?s be superficial a little bit? Because as it turns out, she?s not just wearing a ?fat suit? for her new movie, Tully. We had photos from the Tully shoot last month, and many wondered if Charlize was just wearing really realistic body padding or if she had actually gained a significant amount of weight for the role. She actually gained the weight!
Charlize Theron wasn’t wearing one of her usual body hugging dresses at last night’s amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles. Instead, the Oscar-winner opted for a loose fitting lacey gown with a black jacket.
“Yes, I am very fat right now,” Theron said after Chelsea Handler cracked a joke about her weight gain. Theron actually packed on about 30 pounds for her role in the upcoming comedy Tully as a mom whose brother hires her a nanny just after she gives birth to her third child.

By the way, even though Charlize did gain a noticeable amount of weight, she is no way ?fat? or ?very fat.? Gaining 30 pounds with her tall, lanky frame probably means that she?s still within a normal-size range for her height. I?m also sort of amazed that Charlize barely gained any weight on her face! How does that happen? When I gain or lose weight, you can see it on face immediately, although to be fair, I gain weight all over when I do gain weight. Charlize seems to have localized her weight gain to her abdomen (although I do see a hint at the start of a double-chin with the photo of Charlize?s profile, which I find charming).
I?m also including photos of Chelsea Handler, because why not? They?re friends. Charlize needs to shut that sh-t down.

True story: I never watched Monster, the film that won Charlize Theron her one and only Oscar. I get that everyone was so impressed that such a famously beautiful woman would ?ugly? herself up to play a serial killer, etc. But for my money, Charlize?s best films are North Country (she?s devastating in that) and Young Adult. It always pains me that Young Adult didn?t get the kind of critical love that it deserved, and I always thought that was because Charlize was (once again) brave enough to play such a thoroughly unlikeable character.
Young Adult was written by Diablo Cody and directed by Jason Reitman. The trio (Reitman, Cody and Theron) have come together again for a film called Tully, which is filming in Vancouver right now. The plot of the movie is this: ?Raising three children in the film, Charlize plays the main character Marlo who was gifted a night nanny by her brother, and to her surprise, formed a unique bond with the unique young nanny.? It?s believed that the young nanny is played by Mackenzie Davis. These are candid photos from the Vancouver set.
Do you notice anything odd or unconventional about the pics? According to the Daily Mail, Charlize has allegedly put on a significant amount of weight for this role. The DM theorizes that she could be wearing a prosthetic suit, but they think that option is unlikely. And I agree? I mean, some of this could be padding, I guess, but I think Charlize really did gain some weight for this role ? you can see it on her face. I?m not sure how much it is, but it?s a noticeable amount of weight and it wouldn?t surprise me if she did decide to do a body-transformation for the role, just like she did for Monster.
Personally, I get tired of actors doing radical body transformations for film roles, but maybe I?m just tired of people doing the ?weight loss? thing. Maybe I enjoy it more when beautiful, size-2 actresses spend a few months gorging on pizza and ice cream for their ?craft.? We need more of this!

Before we get to Charlize Theron and Sean Penn being awkward, glum and ham-faced (he was ham-faced, she was glum), take a moment to enjoy Charlize?s spectacular Dior tuxedo at Friday night?s premiere of The Last Face. This is one of the best lady?s tuxedos I?ve ever seen! She looks so sexy with the deep-V of the blouse and the diamonds. Amazing!
As for the glumness and the hamface, it was pretty bad. The photocall earlier in the day was ? by ALL accounts ? awkward as hell. Charlize and Sean didn?t interact at all, and they kept at least two people in between them at all times. As People Mag points out, the discomfort didn?t end at the photocall ? they had to sit down for the press conference too, and it was just awful. Of course, the film was utterly savaged by critics too, so that didn?t help.
After ending their two-year relationship almost a year ago, exes Charlize Theron and Sean Penn avoided one another while doing press in Cannes for their new movie The Last Face.
“There was no contact between them,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Not a thing. Really, like they’d never met.?
Theron, 40, hit the carpet first, smiling in a knee-length Pink scalloped dress with matching belt. She accessorized the look with black strappy heels and bright red lips. The two never interacted directly during the press event.
“There was always someone in between them ? at least one person. It was like they were on two separate orbits,” a source explained. The distance remained at the film’s press conference ? with three actors sitting between Theron and Penn. The two did not acknowledge each other while speaking to reporters.
“[Penn] had on a poker face, and stared straight ahead when [Theron] spoke,” a source said. Theron, meanwhile, looked around when Penn spoke.
“Sort of like watching ice in a freezer,” added the source.

“Sort of like watching ice in a freezer? is how I would describe most of what Charlize does, for better or for worse. Like, she?s great when she?s playing ice queens and bitches, but it does seem like typecasting because chica has no warmth. Then again, we have no idea what really did go down between them around this time last year. We only know that it was over suddenly and she was completely done. She iced him out. She ghosted him!
Now, they did manage to interact a little bit at the premiere later on the day. Sean came to the premiere with his kids, Dylan and Hopper. Hopper interacted with Charlize while Dylan posed with Sean. For all of Sean?s many faults, I think he was smart to bring his kids as his dates. It was a better call than if Sean had arrived with a bevy of blondes on his arms, you know? And so Charlize rewarded him with some brief contact once they posed separately on the carpet. Once they were up the steps, she went up to Sean and they had a brief embrace and kissed each other?s cheeks. It was still awkward as hell, but better. Charlize does have a look on her face like she just got a whiff of rancid ham though. Once you go ham, you can always go back.

Here are some photos of Charlize Theron and Jessica Chastain at this weekend?s MTV Movie Awards. Charlize was nominated for some stuff for Mad Max: Fury Road, but I suspect she came to the show mostly because she and Jessica are shilling for The Huntsman: Winter?s War. Charlize wore this Alexander McQueen dress which? it?s okay. Of all the designers doing sheer fabric with applique designs, I think the house of McQueen does it well. My complaint is that it looks like they were trying too many different styling tricks in one dress.
From the front, I thought Charlize was doing a very daring high ponytail with a small fishtail braid, but that?s not what?s happening. She did an intricate mini-bun situation which? I sort of like? I like that she tried something new and that she didn?t get five pounds of weave, you know? That being said, it looks like her mini-buns are pulled too tight.
As for Chastain? I think she looks lovely. I love that Jessica and Charlize both wore black and they?re giving me Dark Mistress Witch-Queen vibes, which works for their film. Jessica?s gown is Givenchy, and this is the first Givenchy dress I?ve liked in a while. My only complaint is that Jessica?s girls look like they?re suffocating.
