Charlize Theron is the cover girl for the June issue of InStyle Magazine (US). She?s also on the cover of the Australian magazine Madison – I?m including the cover image at the end of the post. I really like Charlize?s InStyle cover shoot, for what it?s worth. Charlize has been churning out some really great photo shoots lately, but usually InStyle?s pictorials aren?t this? fierce?? Is that the right word? In any case, Charlize looks gorgeous. As you know, she?s promoting Snow White and the Huntsman AND Prometheus, both out in June. And she has no problems talking about babies and boys and she even comes close to claiming that she hasn?t had any work done – do you believe her? Hm? anyway, here are some highlights from both InStyle and Madison:
On aging: ?I don’t feel like I’m aging at all. I don’t think about that stuff. Especially not at 36. I see my face and my body changing, and they?re all changes I?m OK with. Part of me understands I may not be in front of the camera forever, and maybe not just because of age, but because of me. I wouldn?t have started my own production company if I didn?t feel that way.?
Becoming a mom: ?So far I?m not surprised by anything about being a mom,? she said. ?It?s all pretty great, but that?s what I expected.?
On her single status: “I’m always open to a relationship, but I’m not putting those feelers out there now.”
On having adopted son Jackson: Charlize recalled a letter she?d written when she was 8-years-old. “My mother found [it]. It said, ‘Would you please take me to orphanage, so that I can go and adopt a baby?’ I always knew I would adopt ? always? It was never a question that one day I would have a child.”
On what she would do if she could switch careers at her current age: “I would be an amazing butler. I’m very good at organizing a house.”
Being a single mother: “You know, I don?t think any mother aims to be a single mum. I didn?t wish for that, but it happened.”
She?s not looking for a husband: “It?s never been a fantasy of mine. Marriage has never been that important to me. I don?t know why exactly. Some might say it?s because my parents didn?t have a good marriage, but I don?t think so. I treat my relationships like marriages. The ceremony isn?t that important to me,” she adds.
She hates pretentious people: “You know what I can?t stand? I hate actors who come and quote Nietzsche. I don?t like pretentious s**t. I like being around people who like to live life and understand the value of it. I need to be around people who understand we?re not curing cancer here. I like professional actors who show up, do the job and are not a pain in the a** to either myself or the crew. I don?t believe in this idea that if you?re f****d up and Method, that?s the only way to do good work. It?s bulls**t. A professional actor does their homework beforehand and they do their job. Then when it?s all said and done, they have a beer with the crew. That?s what a professional actor does.”

I love her diatribe against pretension. I want to know if she?s directing that at a specific actor. Who has she worked with recently? Michael Fassbender. Uh, no, not pretentious. He probably buys the first round for the crew. Idris Elba? God, I hope not. Noomi Rapace? From what I hear, Noomi?s pretty low-key and sweet. Kristen Stewart? Hmm. Charlize seems to like her. Chris Hemsworth? Doubtful. Damn, I want to know who she?s calling out!!
As for her statement about marriage – I believe her. I don?t think she?s one of those ?Oh, I don?t want to get married unless you?ve got an engagement ring YES A MILLION TIMES YES!!!? women. I think Charlize?s marriage apathy is for real. And I do think it has a lot to do with her mom and dad?s situation.

Proving you can be sexy and sophisticated at the same time, Charlize Theron was spotted leaving her hotel to board a helicopter in London, England on Friday (May 11).
Strutting in a pair of lace up pumps, the "Mighty Joe Young" actress made her way to the private chopper in Battersea wearing a stunning black and white long sleeved Louis Vuitton dress with equally-chic Christian Louboutin heels.
Known for her great sense of style, it was recently revealed that the star's sense of style channeled into her latest characters wardrobe. In her latest film, Charlize plays the evil Queen Ravenna in "Snow White and the Huntsman" and when she was helping decided on which costumes would be used during filming the actress said it was more important to focus on "character over beauty".
The 36-year-old actress reportedly worked closely with the on-set designer Colleen Atwood to get the look she was envisioning telling Collider, "Initially, the first meeting I have with them, we talk about the character and I show them my ideas and listen to theirs. They were both very open to letting me do my thing. And then, as long as they could work in it, they were pretty amenable and excited by what they saw."
Charlize is joined by Kristen Stewart (Snow White) and Chris Hemsworth (The Huntsman) in "Snow White and the Huntsman" which is set to hit theaters on June 1st.

It?s the new thing, you know. Mothers wearing crazy heels while holding their infants. I feel like it?s a trend on par with the whole ?not wearing your drawers and flashing the paparazzi? thing of 2006. These are photos of Charlize Theron holding her son Jackson Theron in Paris. We just saw photos of Jackson for the first time two days ago, also in Paris. I think that was Charlize arriving in town for a quick promotional stop for Snow White and the Huntsman (Kristen Stewart was also in town), and in these photos, Charlize and Jackson are boarding a flight to London. Is that a private plane?
Does the ?wearing high heels while carrying a baby? issue really matter in the age of celebrity special treatment? My guess is that Charlize was only walking in those heels, carrying Jackson, for a short distance, for a short amount of time. Then she was resting comfortably in first class? or, if this is a private plane, there was even less time and distance involved. And it?s not like she has to carry her own luggage or juggle all of the baby crap while holding the baby. What I always hear from commenters is ?I would never even dare wear those heels while carrying a baby because what if I fell?? Have you ever seen Charlize The Fierce Bitch unable to work her stilettos, though? She won?t fall.
But yeah? traveling in stilettos? I?m not cut out for it. I swear, sometimes I?m all ?Damn, my flip-flops are pinching!? I?m a weak bitch when it comes to shoewear.

My prediction was for late May. I theorized, weeks ago, that Charlize Theron would unveil her son Jackson closer to June, when she has two films coming out – Prometheus and Snow White & the Huntsman. But Charlize unveiled Jackson yesterday at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris – which means that Jackson is getting some attention a month before Charlize?s dual press tours.
So? Jackson. I?m still not sure how old this kid is. Charlize adopted him in? March. I think. We don?t actually know, because Charlize keeps her information locked down. The announcement came in March, and if I had to put a number on it, I?d say Jackson is about six months old, give or take two months. Is that a wide enough margin of error? I?m really terrible at guessing baby ages. Anyway, Jackson is super-cute. I love his expression of ?OMG OMG OMG BRIGHT LIGHTS OMG.? He?s absolutely horrified. Charlize will totally teach him how to make the patented Theron bitchface soon enough. Trust it.
Can I just say? I?m still really happy for Charlize. I?m glad that she didn?t feel the need to wait around for a man to come around and help her fulfill her dreams of being a mom. I do think she and Stuart Townsend were the real deal, and since they split several years ago, Charlize has been feeling unfulfilled in some way. She seems so much more relaxed now, right?
PS? I love Jackson?s awesome little sweater. And his booties!

Not sure if there have really been photos of Charlize Theron’s adopted kid Jackson but here she is carrying him through Charles De Gaulle International Airport in Paris.
The cool thing about adopting a baby of a different race is if he ever asks if he was adopted, you can just sarcastically go, “What do you think, dummy?”

Jetting off for their first family flight, Charlize Theron and her adorable son, Jackson, were spotted arriving at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Monday (May 7).
This was the first time the ?Young Adult? beauty brought her little man out into the spotlight! The 36-year-old actress looked gorgeous in a blue cardigan, skinny jeans and booties while she protected her boy from the shutterbug chaos.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the "Monster" actress was chosen to pose for the cover of this month?s Vogue UK issue, in which she opened up about Jackson and her feelings on being a mother.
In the publication, Charlize gushed about her newly adopted son, saying, ?He?s the coolest kid ever,? later adding, ?I?ve always been very honest in saying I wanted a family. I?ve always known I wanted a family.?

Let?s start with Charlize in Emilio Pucci – I really thought this gown was Dior! Charlize was one of my favorites of the night!
Claire Danes in Vivienne Westwood. Claire was there because the President is a huge fan of Homeland, and Claire keeps winning all of these awards for her television work. And she?s just a great actress, and why wouldn?t you want to party with Claire? Anyway, I?m not crazy about her dress. It looks very bridal to me.
Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta. I?m starting to suspect that Zooey can make even the most expensive, high-fashion couture look kind of busted and hippie-dippy. I?m not crazy about this dress, basically.
Eva Longoria in Marchesa. When I was looking through the photos, my first thought was ?ugh.? Now I know why: Marchesa is always UGH.
Alicia Keys in? I?m not sure. She seems underdressed, right? And that color is awful.
Kate Hudson is Jenny Packham. I absolutely love this dress, but I would have loved it more on someone else. Kate does this high-necked style a lot, and while I like that she really pulled out all the stops with her hair & makeup, her ears are distracting.

These are some new photos of Charlize Theron at CinemaCon yesterday in Las Vegas. Shall we discuss the Dion Lee dress first? I?m not in love with it. And oddly enough, I don?t find it flattering. Charlize has this amazing body, and I swear the cut of this dress makes her hips look weird. Plus, she doesn?t look comfortable in it at all. The ?cutout? effect is helped along with that illusion netting, and it?s just not a cute look. Her face looks great, though. She?s been looking kind of Botoxy lately, but she looks very fresh and natural here (to my eyes).
Charlize received the ?Distinguished Decade of Achievement In Film? Award at CinemaCon. Charlize has had a great decade in film, but that?s kind of lost in such a kiss-ass industry event when everyone knows Charlize just got an ?award? because she has two films opening up in June (both of which I can?t wait for). During her acceptance speech, Charlize joked, ?If I knew that 3D was gonna be such a big deal I would have gotten that boob job ten years ago.? She also said that everything she knows about love she learned from watching Splash and ?Perhaps that is why I am still single.?
Single you say? In other Charlize news, The Enquirer has a recap on the situation with Charlize and Alexander Skarsgard. The Enquirer broke the story in March – something about Charlize and Alex on a ?date? at Gym Sportsbar, ?a gay watering hole in West Hollywood.? Other sites have claimed similar things too – it?s generally established that Charlize and Alex were together at this bar, but some say that they might have been with a group of friends and maybe it wasn?t so much a ?date?. The Enquirer?s sources say this week that Charlize and Alex ?want to keep the romance to themselves for the time being.? Which is just a fancy way of saying that we probably won?t see photos of them together. For a while at least.

Many people are anticipating the summer release of "Snow White and the Huntsman," and now a new behind-the-scenes feature is giving fans a deeper look into the dark fairytale story.
The new video, courtesy of Celebuzz, focuses on the flick's Mirror Man (Christopher Obi) who, according to director Rupert Sanders, has a very important relationship with Queen Ravenna (played by Charlize Theron) in the film.
The film also stars Kristen Stewart as the only person in the land fairer than the 36-year-old's evil queen, hence her life is threatened by a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who actually ends up helping her.
The film hits theaters on June 1st, and also stars Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Toby Jones, Lily Cole, and Nick Frost.
