Damn, I just had a conspiratorial side-eye in the Christian Bale post about Anne Hathaway, and now here she is, all princessy and engaged. Yes, People Magazine is confirming that Anne is engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Adam Shulman. Three things: one, Adam is Anne?s first relationship after her years-long relationship with imprisoned con artist Raffaello Follieri. Two, after the Follieri mess, Anne got the reputation as a very high-maintenance girlfriend, so good luck to Adam Shulman (who I think looks sort of like Ryan Gosling, right?). And three, I still kind of think Anne might have cheated on Adam with a costar. Mostly because of this Lainey blind item. But anyway? congrats to Anne and Adam!
Is the ultimate on-screen princess finally getting her fairy-tale ending?
Anne Hathaway is engaged to wed longtime boyfriend Adam Shulman, 30, whom she began dating in 2008, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
On Sunday, the actress was photographed sporting a ring in a Brooklyn park along with Shulman.
“I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan,” Hathaway, 28, previously said of their three-year relationship. “I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!”
Her relationship with the actor-jewelry designer followed a less happy ending with ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri in the summer of 2008, after he pled guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud.
“I hate talking about the breakup because I don’t want it to define me, but as is to be expected, there were a lot of lingering trust issues,” she said last year of their highly publicized fall-out.
Over the summer, she gushed about Shulman at the premiere of her movie One Day.
“I’m a romantic at heart,” she told PEOPLE. “He’s the best!”

I used to find Anne rather cloying and annoying, but I?ve grown to like her a great deal over the past few years. She came out of the Follieri mess relatively unscathed, she started working really hard and turning in some good to great performances in film after film, plus I kind of like that she seems like an anal-retentive girly-girl. She seems organized, smart and yes, high maintenance. And if Adam wants to marry her? good for them.

She?s never one to be left out, and Anne Hathaway had a blast at the Princess Grace Awards Gala in New York City last night (November 1).
The ?Get Smart? gal reunited with her ?Princess Diaries? costar Julie Andrews as she posed for the press outside Cipriani 42nd Street.
And of course, Ms. Hathaway was all gussied up in a beige and silver Valentino gown teamed with a pair of champagne high heels.
During the course of the evening, Anne introduced a tribute to Ms. Andrews, who subsequently was given the Prince Rainier III Award.

Buzzing her way around the Big Apple, Anne Hathaway caught a cab to the SoHo neighborhood of New York City earlier this morning (October 26).
Duplicating her stylish ensemble from the day before, the "Love and Other Drugs" actress donned a sleek black and white coat, silver bag and a pair of over-the-knee boots for her midweek arrival.
In other news, Anne's involvement in the much-anticipated big screen adaption of "Les Misrables" was recently confirmed.
Set to star alongside Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, Hathaway will helm the part of Fantine, a woman who is fired from her job by Jean Valjean (Jackman) for having a child out of wedlock.

Jetting off following a night at the Hollywood Film Awards Gala, Anne Hathaway arrived for a flight out of LAX airport in Los Angeles, California earlier today (October 25).
Showing off her fun and quirky fashion sense, the leggy "Love and Other Drugs" actress donned a pair of trendy, over-sized black-rimmed glasses, sleek black and white jacket and over-the-knee boots as she headed off to her high-flying fete.
In other news, Anne's Catwoman predecessor, Michelle Pfeiffer, recently offered up kind words about Hathaway's forthcoming rendition of the role.
Of the revamped character, Pfeiffer told, "I think [Anne] is going to be amazing. She has the darkness and the comedy ? she?s got it all! She?s going to be great."

Stepping out for some grub, Anne Hathaway was spotted at an eatery in Hollywood, California yesterday afternoon (October 16).
The ?Princess Diaries? babe was joined by her boyfriend Adam Shulman and looked snazzy with purple sunglasses and a green silk scarf.
And it sounds like they?re turning up the heat on their relationship- Anne and Adam have reportedly moved into an apartment together in New York City.
An insider told press, "All of Anne's friends think Adam is the one. She had been spending lots of time at his apartment and so they decided they should move in together and things have been great between them since.?
"Anne is really down to earth, as is Adam, and she is definitely really happy and more in love than she's ever been. He started his own jewelry line recently and they're all hoping he'll pop the question and have her a ring made.?

Anne Hathaway to me at times looks odd. It’s either her very large eyes or her very large mouth–it’s like she’s going to kill me with her evil eye death-ray, and eat me with her gaping maw. Happily, this is not one of those moments. It could also have to do with the fact that I took my anti-psychotic today.

I didn?t know that Anne Hathaway was named the newest face of Tod?s. Usually, the handbag and leather goods company tries to associate itself with blondes - recently, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sienna Miller were the faces of the company. I?m glad Tod?s decided to give a brunette a test-drive, although Anne might not be the best brand-ambassador. Look, I like Anne. I think she?s one of the best young actresses working today and I think she can be very, very pretty (when she?s styled correctly). But Tod?s a luxury leather goods label, and one of their most famous associations was with Princess Diana. Surely Anne is simply too dorky and not enough of a ?bombshell? to make this work? Tod’s is trying to reach a different market, though:
It Girl, meet It Bag. Anne Hathaway works her magic in new ads for TOD?s Signature Collection, a soon-to-launch line of bags and small leather goods hitting TOD?s boutiques in October.
Shot in London by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the ads will also bow in October, appearing in fashion magazines worldwide. ?The campaign for TOD?s Signature reaches out to a new and younger clientele,? creative director Fabien Baron said in a release, adding that Hathaway was the right woman for the job. ?We see a stunningly exquisite Anne as a classic beauty with a modern Italian edge ? feminine and strong.?
Hathaway, for her part, is honored to be associated with the brand. ?I have been a longtime fan of TOD?s and was very excited to be a part of exploring a new side of their identity with the launch of their Signature Collection,? she added. ?The designs are classic and the materials are of the highest quality.?
The handbags themselves ? a shoulder bag, portfolio clutch, shopper, pochette and more ? feature a pebble motif and come in colors like deep red, fuchsia, lavender and beige. Made in Italy, they?re crafted from a variety of materials, including soft patent leather, a metalized leather, shiny calfskin and semi-opaque nappa leather.

So… for the new ad campaign, Tod?s got Anne to vamp it up with old Hollywood curls and glossy red lips. They stretched her out on a red sports car and placed their gorgeous purse in her hand. Are we supposed to think this is sexy? Are we supposed to think Anne looks amazing, and that we could look that amazing if only we bought that purse (which probably cost more than $2000)? Mostly, I just think Anne looks uncomfortable. She?s contorted into a weird position, and her face says ?OMG, MY BACK? more than ?Sexy. Purse. Sexy. Young.?
So? ad fail. But good effort. Maybe next time, go for a more natural, subdued campaign with Anne.

Checking out of her posh overnight digs, Anne Hathaway was spotted leaving her London hotel on Wednesday afternoon (August 24).
In town for the UK premiere of "One Day," the stunning brunette actress opted for a funky yet chic look for her midweek departure, wearing a black and blue sweater with black trousers and a pair of checkered loafers.
Meanwhile, while attending a press junket for the film earlier in the week, Anne opened up dealing with the criticism she's received over her portrayal of the David Nicholl's novel character.
?The weight of expectation got larger?I quickly realized that I was going to disappoint a lot of people," she told press. ?People have their own ideas about the characters and how they look and sound. I understand that, I?m a book lover?but I?m also a movie lover."
Hathaway added, ?Yes, there was pressure. Yes, some days it got to me. I felt like I was walking between two dams with criticism on each side. And you think, 'Please don't crumble today, I can't take it.'"

These are some new photos of the London premiere of One Day, the romantic-dramedy that I didn?t hate (but everyone else did). Go here for my review - I thought Jim ?Pillow Weeper? Sturgess was solid and weepy, and Anne Hathaway was fine-to-okay, with her accent going wonky at times. I also read the book, which increased my enjoyment of the film - I knew what was going to happen, and I appreciated how faithfully they adapted the book for the screen. The movie didn?t do very well in its opening weekend, but I suspect that it will be a fine rental for many ladies, and at some point, it will end up on endless repeats on Oxygen or Lifetime.
As for the premiere, Annie wore head-to-toe McQueen - she also wore McQueen for the NYC premiere too. The dress is McQueen Resort 2012, and she accessorized with ?a white jaw skull clutch and hazelnut whipstitch peep-toes.? I like the dress, I like the hair, I like the makeup. It?s a win for Annie, in my opinion, although one of my minor peeves is that she wears white much, much too often. And on Anne, all of that white often looks bridal or (dare I say) slightly corpsey, because she?s so pale. Don?t get me wrong, I like that Anne is pale and that she doesn?t fake-bake or anything. But she does tend to look washed out in white. Still, I like this dress on her. It?s like a fancy doily, but a really pretty, well-cut doily.
I don?t even want to talk about the Pillow-Weeper and his itty-bitty bangs trauma.
In my review of the film, I mentioned how much I love Romola Garai, and I was pleased to hear from other Romola fans out there - soon there will be more. She can act her ass off, and she?s gorgeous. Unfortunately, WENN labeled Romola as ?Guest?. DUDE. She?s one of the best actresses in the UK! She?s on The Hour, one of the best shows I?ve seen in a long time (are you watching?!?). Here?s pretty Romola (who should have played Emma in One Day):
And for some reason, Peaches Geldof was also at the premiere. WENN labeled her correctly, which speaks volumes about today?s celebrity culture. Peaches is WAY overdressed too. It?s not your movie, Peaches. No reason to wear a full-on gown.
