In yesterday?s post about the NYC premiere of Hitchcock, I mentioned that Page Six was spreading a rumor about Scarlett Johansson having a new French-y boyfriend. At the time that I wrote the post, the mystery dude had not been identified. Thankfully, Page Six got on it and they found out the dude?s name: Romain Dauriac. He IS French. And he?s a ?former editor? of a ?French urban art magazine.? Because of course. That is exactly the kind of dude ScarJo goes for. Apparently, Scar and Romain were hanging out together when she was in France earlier this month ? remember her stupid ?Lucky You? tattoo? Yeah, the tattoo was done by a mutual friend of both Scarlett and Romain. Here?s more:
Looks like we?ve found Scarlett Johansson?s ?lucky? new guy.
French journalist Romain Dauriac has been revealed to be ScarJo?s new boyfriend. Dauriac is the former editor of French urban art magazine Clark, and is the current manager of a creative agency.
The couple are friends of French tattoo artist Fuzi Uvtpk, who recently inked the actress with a horseshoe tattoo inscribed with ?Lucky You? on her rib cage. Dauriac reportedly has a Uvtpk tat that reads ?Lost Illusions.?
Page Six revealed today that the blonde beauty was looking cozy with a dark-haired man who spoke French Thursday night. The two snuggled up during a dinner date at the Beatrice Inn, looking ?lovey-dovey and holding hands under the table all night,? says a witness. ?They were holding each other while outside smoking in the cold.? We?re told that Johansson?s new guy was ?dark-haired and slightly taller than her but skinny? and that ?he may have been speaking French at one point.?
Before Dauriac, the ?Hitchcock? actress was dating ad exec Nate Naylor for the past year.

Well? ScarJo exasperates me, but I think I might prefer this mess to what her ex-husband did. Ryan Reynolds went from Scarlett to an underwear model to Blake Lively and then ended up engaged and married, like, within a year. I want to think Scarlett is just returning to her man-hungry, boy-crazy roots ? because Scarlett was ALWAYS a man-eater. She just tried to pretend she was just a down-home girl who wanted to get married. So? at least she?s owning it, I guess. I can?t imagine that she?s gone into this relationship thinking, ?Yes, I want to marry this French hipster!?

Really, “lucky you?” Why, because we get to see your armpit? That’s really a tattoo that’s more suited for a freshly-shorn mons pubis or betwixt your girls. And for the record, don’t think you’re gonna find the words “mons pubis” and “betwixt” together in the same gossip post anywhere else on the interwebs. It’s quality writing like this that keeps you coming back for more!

Here’s a few pictures of Scarlett Johansson showing off her new tattoo, and if you ask me, it kind of looks like something a 5-year-old might draw on you with Magic Marker. Apparently this graffiti artist Fuzi Uvtpk made it. And this is why you shouldn’t trust a graffiti artist to give you a tattoo.

I don?t have any strong opinions about tattoos in general. Sometimes a tattoo looks really cool or pretty to me, sometimes I think they look kind of lame. It depends on the person, it depends on the ink, it depends on the placement and it depends on the attitude of the person trying to pull it off. Like, Megan Fox?s tattoos are pretty lame and poorly done, which is why she?s getting some of them lasered off. But I really like David Beckham?s ?sleeves? ? I think he actually spent time and money to get quality ink, and it looks good and it?s a part of him now. As for ScarJo? well, I think the weird little tattoo that she got on her left forearm is really budget-looking, and I don?t get what the ?message? was supposed to be. And now she?s added a new tatt, which you can see in these photos from the Paris tattoo artist.
She’s already amassed a fairly extensive collection of body art. And Scarlett Johansson has now added to her selection of inkings with a brand new horseshoe tattoo on her ribcage.
Inscribed with the phrase Lucky You, the etching features an outline of the traditional symbol of good luck surrounded by a series of stars. Holding up up her grey T-shirt, the 27-year-old actress showed off her brand new accessory, which she opted for while in Paris, France, last week.
The Hitchcock actress commissioned French tattoist and graffiti artist Fuzi Uvtpk to create the inking for her after recently attending an exhibition of his work at Le Salon.
Scarlett’s latest foray into the world of body art adds to her existing collection of etchings, which adorn various parts of her body. Earlier this year, the star unveiled a tattoo tribute to New York City on her wrist. Although at a first glance the piece looks like a bracelet, the words I Heart NY can clearly be seen inscribed onto the rosary bead charm.
Scarlett also has a sun rising over the sea design on her left forearm, while on her ankle she has two circles interlinked with the letter A. The blonde beauty has previously said her tattoos make her ‘happy’ but she prefers that the meanings behind them ‘remain private.’

So, the guy who designed her horseshoe tattoo is some kind of famous graffiti artist? And that was the best he could come up, a Tiffany?s pendant-necklace horseshoe? I just don?t get why that?s important enough to tattoo on your body ? it?s not like it?s really a work of art?? Maybe to her it is. I kind of think ScarJo is just a woman who wants to be inked up, and she thinks of herself as that kind of hardcore, tattooed badass chick, but she can only think of really lame tattoos to get.

Scarlett Johansson is a single girl these days. She split with Nate Naylor sometime in the past few weeks ? The Mail claimed that Nate moved his stuff out of her place last week or so, and ScarJo?s people confirmed the split to Us Weekly and People Mag on Monday. Personally, I?m excited for ScarJo. She?s a mess! And I mean that affectionately. A Single ScarJo is always a lot of fun, and she tends to be a player for a while before she settles down with someone you never expect. I want to see her with Jeremy Renner ? and because that?s what I hope/expect, it?s a sure sign that it will never happen. Others have suggested Russell Crowe, which would be interesting/funny, and maybe a little sexy. Lainey suggested Jude Law? I could see that for a fling, but not a real relationship. And now Page Six is giving us some hope for another series of unions:

First of all, ScarJo needs to step away from any dude who might have ever had sex with Lindsay Lohan. I?m sorry, but that?s a dealbreaker. Domingo Zapata might be famous (in some circles) and rich and all of that, but he still hangs out with the Cracken. As for Sam Rockwell? I NEED THAT. I love Sam. Everyone loves Sam. I assume that Sam and ScarJo have been friends for a while (they?ve worked together before), and last I heard, Sam did have a girlfriend. So it was probably just a friends-thing and we shouldn?t get worked up about it. Although I would kind of love ScarJo and Sam. They would be HOT.
Also: did you see the MoveOn commercial Scarlett did with Eva Longoria? It?s all about Planned Parenthood. I watched last night?s presidential debate, and I still don?t know whether or not Mitt Romney still wants to de-fund Planned Parenthood (like he claimed months ago, and again last week). But I do know he loves binders full of women.

To celebrate W Magazine?s 40th anniversary (?Meh!? says nearly everyone), they decided to do four different covers featuring four different ?hot? young actresses representing every decade of W?s 40 years. This Scarlett Johansson cover ? representing the 1990s ? is getting a lot of attention, mostly because of the wig, I suppose. I hate to admit it, but I do remember when this whole look was in style. RIOT GRRRL! Ani DiFranco! Linda Perry! Etc! You know who I idolized in the 90s? I?ve said it before ? Winona Ryder. She was my beauty/body/fashion/career/coolness icon/touchstone.

She named Chris Farley as her favorite person from the 1990s, and when asked about her least favorite ?90s style trend, she says, ?Turtlenecks?they?re horrible. I tried to get into them because they are so practical, but they?re just so unfortunate? Men don?t like turtlenecks. I?ve never met a man who likes anything around his neck other than my hands.? George Clooney just came. HA! Oh, one last ScarJo thing ? as I said yesterday, Scar is done with Nate Naylor, officially now ? it?s been confirmed to Us Weekly & People Mag. On Twitter, some of you are suggesting Scarlett try for Russell Crowe. That would be a delicious mess. I LOVE IT!

The trailer for Scarlett Johansson‘s new movie Hitchcock just came out, and I haven’t watched it, of course, but I’m already liking what I’m seeing. Because if there’s anything that could make Psycho‘s iconic shower scene even more memorable, it’s adding Scarlett to it. And maybe while they’re at it, a few full-body shots too.

Scarlett Johansson attended a Tod’s handbag launch at Paris Fashion Week, and she wore a semi-clingy, white Dior cocktail dress with Roger Vivier shoes. I would question why she didn’t wear Tod’s shoes, but I dig those heels so much that I’ve included a larger photo of them below. As for the dress, she looks pretty spectacular, don’t you think? It hugs in all the right places without thrusting her rack out for the whole world to see. Not that cleavage is a bad thing, but Scarlett is clearly trying to project a more serious image these days. Her simple hair and makeup are quite fitting for the overall look as well.
The event took place at the Italian Embassy, and Scarlett apparently made the jaunt on a break from rehearsing for Broadway’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She gave an interview to WWD, in which she talks about her personal style:
On preparing for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: “That’s pretty all-encompassing, and it’s pretty much taken all my brain space,” the actress said of her rehearsals. Other than two new films coming out later this year, she also acted in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directing debut film, which has yet to be titled.
On Tod’s: “I’ve loved Tod’s for a long time, they’ve always been very generous, and I’ve worn their stuff for a long time. It’s wearable, comfortable and classic.”
On dressing for her bod: “I think every girl has their difficult part of their body that?s difficult to dress. For me it’s always been about being petite and curvy. There are certain styles I’d love to wear, but I just have to come to terms with the fact that I just don?t look good in like a sack dress, it’s just not going to happen….As you get older you learn more about your body and what looks good on you. It’s weird for me, because I?’e been photographed for so long…and sometimes you look back at those red-carpet pictures, and you’re like, ‘What was I thinking?’ I think everyone has that, maybe not on that scale…but everybody has their shameful red-carpet moment.”

Scarlett seems quite comfortable in her skin these days, and I appreciate that (for once) she didn’t manage to slip a little remark about how tough it is to be considered so sexy in Hollywood. Oh, and that JGL movie that ScarJo will appear within is actually the one where he looks like Ronnie from “Jersey Shore.” I didn’t know he was directing it too! Oh JGL, you’re breaking my heart.
I like these Roger Vivier shoes a lot — they are really cute and very comfy looking too on ScarJo’s pigeon-footed stance. The bag is okay, but I can’t seem to ever get past that horrible arm tattoo.
After the Tod’s event, Scarlett split and headed to the Barack Obama fundraiser held by Anna Wintour. She didn’t have time to change outfits, but one should never mess with (close to) perfection.
