I?m not sure who will be interested in this, but I just liked the photos and I was glad we had access to them. Last night, Scarlett Johansson was the opening night star of the Broadway revival of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof (which, incidentally, is one of my least favorite Tennessee Williams? plays). I?m including photos of ScarJo on stage (in that negligee) and at the opening night after-party ? those are the pics of ScarJo in black Dolce & Gabbana. I?m also including photos of Benjamin Walker ? he plays Brick, and in real life he?s Meryl Streep?s son-in-law. Also pictured: Ciarn Hinds, who plays Big Daddy.
ScarJo playing Maggie the Cat could be a major disaster ? Maggie is considered one of the most sensual and hot-blooded of Williams? heroines, the role always ripe for a bombshell. ScarJo is a bombshell, for sure. But does she have the acting chops to pull off the role? According to the critics, she does. Ben Brantley of the New York Times has praised the hell out of her performance ? go here to see. It looks like ScarJo?s first Tony-Award-winning Broadway role a few years ago wasn?t a fluke! Scarlett is now a big-time theater actress. How does that make you feel?
PS? It just occurred to me that ScarJo is probably doing a Southern accent. If anyone goes to see the play, please tell me how her accent work was. One of my biggest pet peeves is ?actors doing terrible Southern accents.?

Scarlett Johansson says she should be a dermatologist because she’s soobsessedwith the practice, having spent years looking for cures for her rashes,that she’s now able to diagnose skin conditions for her friends.She tells Elle Britain, “(I should be) a dermatologist. When you help someone heal their skin it gives them a new lease of life. I mean, have you ever met someone with a horrible skin condition? I’m good with that… I’ve had every problem. I always get these weird things (rashes)… At least I know how to cure them… ”Not to toot her own horn or anything but she’s pretty good at it.”I’m pretty good at diagnosing other people… It comes from watching a lot of medical programs… Real medical programs. Documentaries.”Some people spend 4 years in college, 4 years in med school and several years of internship and residency to become a dermatologist. What a bunch of idiots. Looks like all they needed to do was watch a lot of tv about skin conditions. Well, not just any tv. Real medical programs and documentaries. “What about medical texts andscientificstudies?” Pfft! Hey everyone, look at this nerd over here with his books!

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Scarlett Johansson do a photoshoot like this, I’m not sure if magazines have gotten tired of her, or just if new up-and-coming hotties have stolen her covers. But if you ask me, this one for Elle UK isn’t exactly the way for Scarlett to get the phones

Scarlett Johansson covers the February issue of Elle UK to promote her role as Janet Leigh in Hitchcock. Exactly what is going on with her hair on this cover? Obviously, I’m a fan of the bedhead look, but it’s got no place on an otherwise sleek cover filled with neutral colors and fug, peep-toed booties. This look is neck-to-toe Victoria Beckham, and it’s nice to see that Vicky is now actively marketing her clothing to the greater-than-size-0 market. Other than the out-of-place hair, the editorial is pretty gorgeous and flattering to ScarJo’s figure. I really do like this blue and white satin dress with a bit of sexy thigh flashing through an asymmetrical sheer panel. The interview isn’t bad either, and here are some excerpts:
On turning 30 soon: “I feel like I’ve been transitioning from young woman into womanhood for a very long time. Now as I approach 30, with the last few years behind me, I feel like growing pains are behind me. It’s just nice to feel happy.”
About the phone hacking of her nude pics: “It was a crazy time. I had some problems in my family and publicly, my relationship — all that stuff. It was like ‘Oh man what next?’ But life has ebbs and flows, don?t you think? Things are more manageable now, but I?m sure something will crumble. I keep it together. I am relatively composed but I can also lose my s***. I?m pretty controlled, and probably controlling too, for better or worse. I?m working on it.”
She’s not looking to get married again: “I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually. But it is different. It?s hard to put into words. To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn’t mean you have to be married. I never think about marriage. Is that weird? The only time I ever think about it is when people ask me. ‘Would I get married again?’ It’s really not important to me. It has no relevance to me right now. I?m not having kids any time soon, I’m in a nice relationship, I’m working a lot and, like I said, it’s not important to me.”
On dating outside of the acting pool: “I think there are challenges whether that person?s in your profession or not. It?s nice that [fellow actors] can relate, and you have a shorthand when you?re talking about work, but that can also be monotonous. For me, most importantly, I look for a partner who is creative. I like people that have a colourful way of looking at things, that are inspiring and like art, music and film’.”
On her unwitting “sexy” image: “I think any woman who is curvy and wears a gown to an event is, like, super-sexualised. I mean, at the time I was 18, 19. I was young. I?ve always been curvy. It runs in the family. Throw on an evening frock and it?s like all of a sudden you have boobs and everyone is like: ‘bombshell!’ Instantly it was: ‘The new Marilyn’.”

Okay, I can appreciate that Scarlett is still really tired of being considered a sex symbol, but there’s no way she can claim to have not channelled Marilyn Monroe in a recent Dolce & Gabbana advertising campaign. Although I guess she may have had no input in her styling for those shots, but I still think Scarlett must have at least been flattered by the comparisons during her earlier career. Now she’s wary of anyone even noticing that she has boobs.
As for Scarlett’s comments about marriage and how she’s not about to go there again (at least not anytime soon) as well as her thoughts on having kids … well, I guess we really now know what happened to her and Ryan Reynolds, right? He was probably disappointed that she didn’t want to give up her career and start having babies right away, and I guess they (like so many other couples) just didn’t know each other well enough before getting married. Hopefully, Blake Lively will have better luck in the long run.

Her film career just keeps getting hotter, and Scarlett Johansson dropped by the ?Today? show this morning (November 27) to talk about her new flick ?Hitchcock.?
The ?We Bought a Zoo? babe explained that in order to prepare for her role as Janet Leigh, she contacted the actress? real-life daughter Jamie Lee Curtis for pointers.
"I just think, more than anything, it must be very strange to have somebody play your mother -- and especially someone as beloved and celebrated as Janet."
"And I just wanted to reach out -- and Jamie was lovely. She sent beautiful photographs and gave me some wonderful stories,? added Johansson.
Scarlett also talked about her experience filming the infamous shower scene from ?Psycho.? "You kind of make it your own, you sort of wing it ... I think when you have Tony Hopkins there, stabbing at you, with a completely frenzied, psychotic look on his face, you don't need that kind of music. It sort of puts you right there."

Stepping out for some media duties, Scarlett Johansson showed up at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City last night (November 21).
The ?In Good Company? cutie looked gorgeous as she chatted with David Letterman on ?The Late Show? about her new ?Lucky You? horseshoe tattoo.
Scarlett began, ?I have another one. It?s on my ribcage. It?s not a tattoo that I expected everybody to see, obviously. Listen, Dave, that was a personal photograph and the very lovely tattoo artist who did the work- bless his sweet old heart- he decided to share it with a few people and now you have it on your desk.?
When Letterman questioned her as to why she was feeling embarrassed, Johansson exclaimed, ?That wasn?t meant for everybody, just the lucky ones!?

Looking very chilly, Scarlett Johansson arrived at "The Late Show with David Letterman" in the Big Apple on Tuesday (November 20).
The "Iron Man" star looked lovely in a black sleeveless knee-length dress and strappy heels with a black overcoat wrapped around her.
Recently, the 27-year-old has been spotted out and about in both Paris and New York with new French flame, Romain Dauriac.
Dauriac is currently manager of a creative agency. On Friday, the new couple were spotted at La Esquina restaurant in Soho for lunch.

In yesterday?s post about the NYC premiere of Hitchcock, I mentioned that Page Six was spreading a rumor about Scarlett Johansson having a new French-y boyfriend. At the time that I wrote the post, the mystery dude had not been identified. Thankfully, Page Six got on it and they found out the dude?s name: Romain Dauriac. He IS French. And he?s a ?former editor? of a ?French urban art magazine.? Because of course. That is exactly the kind of dude ScarJo goes for. Apparently, Scar and Romain were hanging out together when she was in France earlier this month ? remember her stupid ?Lucky You? tattoo? Yeah, the tattoo was done by a mutual friend of both Scarlett and Romain. Here?s more:

French journalist Romain Dauriac has been revealed to be ScarJo?s new boyfriend. Dauriac is the former editor of French urban art magazine Clark, and is the current manager of a creative agency.
The couple are friends of French tattoo artist Fuzi Uvtpk, who recently inked the actress with a horseshoe tattoo inscribed with ?Lucky You? on her rib cage. Dauriac reportedly has a Uvtpk tat that reads ?Lost Illusions.?
Page Six revealed today that the blonde beauty was looking cozy with a dark-haired man who spoke French Thursday night. The two snuggled up during a dinner date at the Beatrice Inn, looking ?lovey-dovey and holding hands under the table all night,? says a witness. ?They were holding each other while outside smoking in the cold.? We?re told that Johansson?s new guy was ?dark-haired and slightly taller than her but skinny? and that ?he may have been speaking French at one point.?
Before Dauriac, the ?Hitchcock? actress was dating ad exec Nate Naylor for the past year.

Well? ScarJo exasperates me, but I think I might prefer this mess to what her ex-husband did. Ryan Reynolds went from Scarlett to an underwear model to Blake Lively and then ended up engaged and married, like, within a year. I want to think Scarlett is just returning to her man-hungry, boy-crazy roots ? because Scarlett was ALWAYS a man-eater. She just tried to pretend she was just a down-home girl who wanted to get married. So? at least she?s owning it, I guess. I can?t imagine that she?s gone into this relationship thinking, ?Yes, I want to marry this French hipster!?
