Keeping a low-key profile as she focuses on her motherly duties, Ashlee Simpson was spotted arriving at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (July 7).
Clad in comfy clothing, the former "Melrose Place" actress was joined by her mother, Tina Simpson, as the two lovely ladies worked their way through the terminal ahead of an outbound flight.
On the career end of things, Ashlee has made it clear that she's taking a break from Tinseltown to tend to her young son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz.
She previously told E! Online, "Being a mom is my first priority and it's amazing because you grow up and watch your child grow up. It's the best thing in the whole entire world."

Fresh off of a lengthy break from the spotlight, Ashlee Simpson was all smiles as she stepped out for a Reebok event in Los Angeles on Wednesday (June 16).
Looking in fine form, the former "Melrose Place" actress was busy singing her praises for the Easy Tone sneakers - which she credits for snapping back into shape after her pregnancy.
Talking about the transformation, Ashlee told E! Online, "I gained 50 pounds, which was awesome! I ate cake and cupcakes. I had a blast!"
Once ready to lose the extra pounds, Miss Simpson said of the process, "When I wanted to get back into shape, I worked out and these shoes are amazing because you can really feel them in your booty. But I also worked out and ate healthy."
Also explaining her decision to lighten her workload, Ashlee told, "Being a mom is my first priority and it's amazing because you grow up and watch your child grow up. It's the best thing in the whole entire world."

Hiring a babysitter for the evening, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were spotted out and about in Los Angeles last night (June 1).
The former Fall Out Boy rocker and his ?Pieces of Me? songstress looked to be in good spirits as they stepped out of Pete?s Angels & Kings bar to find the paparazzi waiting for them.
Pete and Ashlee were in the house to support their pal Travis McCoy as he embarks on his solo career apart from Gym Class Heroes.
Touring with the Too Fast for Love concert, McCoy was having a listening party for his new album titled Lazarus.

Back in Beverly Hills, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz took their son Bronx Mowgli for a hike at Mulholland Canyon Park on Sunday afternoon (May 2).
The couple looked happy to be back on the west coast after having spent time in Louisville for the Kentucky Derby, although it seems as if the stay will be short-lived.
Pete tweeted of his non-stop travels, "Back in town for a day again. Not gonna bother unpacking again. Let's hear it for suitcases!"
Later venting about an unsafe driver on the roadways, the Fall Out Boy bassist wrote, "To whoever was driving the matte black lambo 100 mph down sunset today- u are who I wanted to be when I was a little kid."

Braving the rainy weather, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were all smiles while out at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday (May 1).
All dressed up for the day's festivities, the "Pieces of Me" singer and her Fall Out Boy hubby posed for pictures before heading over to a luxury box ahead of the annual running of the Kentucky Derby.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Ashlee and Pete arrived into town the previous day - making for a full weekend of Derby partying.
The happy pair were among the stars turning up last night at The Barnstable Brown Gala, joining Marisa Miller, Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey, among others.

Drawing an end to their fun-filled family getaway, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were spotted with son Bronx at the Maui Airport in Hawaii on Tuesday (April 27).
Following a week-long stay in the tropical island locale, the "Pieces of Me" singer and her Fall Out Boy hubby were all smiles as they made their way into the terminal ahead of the flight back to the mainland.
The trip comes as Ashlee enjoys some much-deserved time off following a long run on Broadway for the stage show "Chicago".
Meanwhile, Pete continues to be active on his Twitter account, dishing words of wisdom over the weekend by saying, "It took me about 25 years to learn one of the most important lessons of my life: you can't put out one fire with another fire."
