Back for another week of work efforts, Katie Holmes was spotted with scrip in-hand on the set of "Jack and Jill" in Beverly Hills, CA on Monday (October 18).
Making her way around the film's trailer area, the "Mad Money" actress was dressed casually in a plaid buttondown top with jeans as she continued along with the Dennis Dugan directed comedy which co-stars Adam Sandler and Al Pacino while featuring appearances by Shaquille O'Neal and Regis Philbin.
Meanwhile, Miss Holmes reportedly made a surprise appearance on the set of "Wizards of Waverly Place" this past Friday (October 16).
According to E! Online, Mrs Tom Cruise made the visit to help Bailee Madison celebrate her 11th birthday - as the two co-star together in the upcoming horror movie "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark".

Taking care of her motherly duties, Katie Holmes was spotted taking her daughter Suri Cruise to ballet class in Los Angeles last week (October 6).
The ?Mad Money? mommy looked cute and casual in a black coat with vintage jeans as she carried her little girl past the paparazzi and out for some ice cream following her lesson.
And though it seems ages ago, Katie told press she loved her breakthrough role on ?Dawson?s Creek.?
Holmes explained, ?It was great fun. I have fond memories. It?s like looking at a yearbook.? Katie played Joey Potter on the hit show.
Katie also noted that Suri has an ambitious nature about her. "She's very active and competitive. She likes to say she's the fastest one in the house and she is probably right. We go skiing and snowboarding as a family. We like to swim. We hang out in the park, the usual family activities."

Confirming rumors of a new role, Katie Holmes turned up on the set of "Jack and Jill" in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday (October 7).
Looking cute and casual as she sipped on a coffee, the former "Dawson's Creek" darling strolled past photogs as she readied to get to work on Adam Sandler's new film.
The comedy, which is due out in 2011, is being directed by Dennis Dugan while also starring the always-entertaining Al Pacino.
And while details have been far and few between, it is known that Sandler will be playing the dual role of Jack/Jill while Dana Carvey has also been mentioned as a possible co-star.

Since this is In Touch Weekly, I?m really hoping this story isn?t true. But since it involves Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spending a ridiculous sum of money to dress up their favorite living doll Suri, I have to think it?s probably 100% accurate. According to ITW, Tom made special arrangements with his own personal princess-costume-maker (I?m joking - or am I?) to make Suri a one-of-a-kind princess dress that she can wear for one special night, Halloween. Not that Suri will just wear it for one night only - if it?s especially Pink and frilly (and since Tom is buying, I?m thinking it will be), Suri might even wear that bad-boy for two whole days. Oh, and there are diamonds too.
For most kids, Halloween means a homemade costume or a trip to Target or WalMart. Suri Cruise, on the other hand, is going trick-or-treating as a princess - complete with a custom-made dress and real jewels!
According to a friend, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spared no expense to make this upcoming Halloween a memorable one for their 4-year-old.
?It?s more than a month away, but Suri already has her fairy-princess gown and will be wearing diamonds with her costume,? explains a friend. The insider says Tom spent more than $6,000 on the dress, which features a tulle skirt and pearl embroidery.

So it?s not like the diamonds are built into the dress that she?ll only wear once. From what I gather, the diamonds are a separate styling choice that Suri has chosen to accentuate her princess costume. Can you imagine seeing that when she comes to your door wanting a mini-Snickers? Anyway? yeah, I also believe this because Suri, like lots of little girls, has a big thing for princesses. But, unlike all of those other little girls, Suri?s parents seem to be convinced that she actually needs to act, dress and be a little princess. There comes a point when ?harmless kid stuff? just becomes ?being a bad parent.? And that point comes when you?re arranging diamonds on your 4-year-old?s Halloween costume.

Biding their time as the family patriarch tends to overseas work duties, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise kept busy at a playground in Prague on Thursday (September 23).
The mother/daughter duo traversed the scenic grounds as Suri proudly showed off her athletic prowess while climbing poles and conquering the swings and slides.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Katie and Suri joined Tom Cruise while he scouts locations for "Mission Impossible 4".
It has also been claimed that the "Top Gun" stud has joined in on working on a new TV commercial for the overseas market, though nothing has been confirmed.

Bringing an end to the day, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes joined daughter Suri while returning to their Prague hotel on Wednesday (September 22).
The happy family looked to have their hands full as they strolled past paparazzi while toting their belongings inside the local resting spot.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Cruise is in town to scout locations and begin production on another chapter of the ?Mission: Impossible? franchise.
Yesterday, Tom was seen out in the beautiful historic city with director Brad Bird. He?ll also serve as a producer along with Paula Wagner and JJ Abrams. ?Mission: Impossible IV? is set to hit theaters December 16, 2011.

Getting in some quality time together, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were spotted out for a stroll in Prague, Czech Republic this morning (September 22).
The ?Top Gun? stud and his ?Dawson?s Creek? darling both looked so happy together as they returned to their hotel, followed by the Czech paparazzi.

Or weight loss? Or Xenu? Or her spirit is broken? All of the above? Could be. But she does look different, doesn?t she? I could swear her face is different, and it?s not just a weight loss thing. I can?t put my finger on it. Anyway, this is Katie Holmes in NYC yesterday, on her way to the Calvin Klein show, where she will no doubt pick up the entire collection, then tweak it slightly with some budget lace and bad stitching and use it for her own collection, Holmes and Yang. It?s called ?The Victoria Beckham Method?. And it seems like the House of Calvin Klein is fine with that.

The fashion house’s Women’s Creative Director Francisco Costa is a huge fan of the stunning actress and was thrilled when she was in the front row at the Calvin Klein Collection show yesterday (16.09.10) at New York Fashion Week.
He said: “We met her before she was married. She’s the perfect Calvin girl.”
Speaking about the show, Katie - who is married to Tom Cruise - told People magazine: “I just loved it. There were so many pieces I would love to have. He did an amazing job. I loved the simplicity. I loved the colours he’s chosen, the fabrics and his simple elegance.”
As well as Katie being impressed with the show, Francisco was pleased with the final result.
He said: “It was more about the body, the fabric, and obviously interesting cuts. The new field for me is softness, and making that very sharp and crisp, which is much more difficult. It was challenging, fun, much more fluid, elongated. We started in resort with that mid-calf length.so it was a step forward.”
Katie - who was dressed in a cream-coloured Calvin Klein dress - admits she may use the show as inspiration for her own clothing range. She said: “I was very inspired.”

Why are all of these fashion professionals always going on and on about Katie?s style? She generally looks like ten kinds of hell, although I will give her credit for starting a few trends, mostly involving pants (whatever). Also, Fame Pictures calls her a ?fashion icon.? I would bash them for that, but they are not the first to refer to Katie as some kind of style icon. I think those people are smoking crack.

Making for quite the stunning front row, Katie Holmes and Isabel Lucas teamed up to check out the final day of New York Fashion Week on Thursday (September 16).
Turning up at the 205 West 39th Street locale, the darling duo joined Julianne Moore and Kerry Washington in scoping the latest looks during the Calvin Klein Spring 2011 fashion show.
The CK catwalk extravaganza comes as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week draws to an end in NYC, with London Fashion Week ready to start up on Friday, September 17th.
Aside from the fashionable happenings, recent reports tell that actress Dianna Agron is doing her best to get Miss Holmes to appear on her hit FOX show "Glee".
Having worked together on "The Romantics" earlier this year, Dianna tells, "We had so much fun together on and off set. She [Katie] has said to me that she and Suri watch the musical numbers [on Glee] and they love it. It would be awesome to get them on the show. That would be amazing."

My GOD Katie Holmes is horrible model. I have just gone through Marie Claire?s October pictorial, starring their cover girl Katie Holmes, and this might be one of the worst ever. It?s not really Marie Claire?s fault. It?s Katie?s. She doesn?t know how to carry herself, she doesn?t know how to pose, and she looks old and exhausted and slumpy and like a f-cking zombie in nearly every photo. And you know Marie Claire probably used the best shots too - that?s how bad it is. Can you imagine the shots that were rejected? Go here for the full slideshow, but the best (worst?) shots are the bottom of this post.
Anyway, Katie was also interviewed for Marie Claire! Xenu lets her speak for herself and everything. It?s predictably kiss-ass (?Katie Holmes doesn’t really walk; she glides?. I find myself getting distracted by her cheekbones and her soft but determined voice.?) but there are a few (butt?) nuggets of interest. The full online excerpt is here, and here are the highlights:
Producer Jennifer Todd, on Katie Holmes as producer/actress on The Romantics: “She really was a producer. It wasn’t just a credit given to her. She’s been relentless in trying to help get this film out. She has a real love of cinema and a real passion for seeing a project through from start to finish.”
On The Romantics: “I just look for characters I can relate to. I loved this role because it felt like these are things that people go through,” Holmes tells me. “It has friendship, it has heartbreak, it has the past coming back into your life. I also liked the friendship between Lila and Laura because it’s tricky between women ? you are either a friend to women or you are not.” Holmes continues, “That stuff for me is very real. I have three sisters, I went to an all-girls academy. I feel like I know girls and know how we fight, and [author] Galt really nailed it. I just thought the movie felt very true.”
Doing the film festival rounds: “The enthusiasm that existed around this project was just awesome,” she says. “We all get together now and do dinners. We really did become great friends, and that’s rare ? to continue those friendships.”
What?s it like being (the third) Mrs. Tom Cruise? “It’s really exciting. Tom’s as big at home as he is on the movie screen. He’s so passionate about everything, whatever he’s doing. When he’s being a dad, he’s right there; he’s giving it his all. It’s inspiring and it’s fun. It’s an amazing life, but we always remind ourselves of how incredibly lucky we are.”
On their date-nights: They visit each other on set when they can ? Holmes is currently working in Toronto ? and they do manage to have date nights, usually screening a current movie in their Beverly Hills home, followed by “probably a two-hour discussion about what we thought.” They also play a lot of Scrabble. Holmes, always the straight-A student, is a formidable opponent. “But Tom’s really good at it,” she admits. “It’s all strategy. I think when I’m back in Toronto, I’m going to bring my dictionary and study.”
On being apart: Despite their hectic schedules, they’ve never spent more than a week-and-a-half without seeing each other.
More kids? “Maybe in a couple of years, but right now I want to make sure I’m really there for Suri. I’m the youngest in my family ? my closest sister is five years older than me, and the next one is nine years ahead of me, so I was a bit of an only child, and I liked it! I liked having all of my mom’s attention, and sometimes I think I still do.”
On Suri, who Katie says is being home-schooled (by Xenu?): “We travel a lot, and so for me, it’s keeping a daily schedule for Suri that never changes,” Holmes tells me. “We wake up, and we do the same thing. She does her chores. I think it’s very important. If she doesn’t get her chores done, I notice she’s not really herself. She has to make her bed, she has to take her dishes to the sink, she has to put her clothes in the laundry ? you know, that basic stuff. I try to do what my mom did for me … just spending time with her, making doll clothes and planting in the garden … When Suri comes to the set, we have art projects, and I just try to keep her busy and inspired.”

If her life is really this good - and honestly, she does make it sound very nice and low-key - then why has she aged so drastically, and why does she wander around like a drugged zombie so much of the time? I just think? damn, even with all of her money (Tom?s money), I still wouldn?t want her life.
