It?s premiere day here at Celebitchy - last night, the premieres of Salt, The Extra Man and Dinner for Schmucks were held, so we?re probably going to parceling this stuff out throughout the day. I had actually forgotten that the Kate-Bot had done this film, The Extra Man. It?s a comedy-drama about a playwright and a male escort or something. I was trying to read the synopsis and I got confused, actually. It costars John C. Reilly, Kevin Kline and Paul Dano, so it actually has a decent cast. But Katie Holmes stole the show at last night?s premiere when she tried out a new look, a new trend, and new hair. What do you think?
The striped dress and the short-heeled buckle shoes (?) read ?old-school preppy? to me. Like Katie?s look is attempting a nouveau Connecticut-in-the-1980s trend. It doesn?t really suck that badly, only instead of making the outfit look fresh, the whole thing looks dated. I guess the hair is supposed to save it? Maybe. I don?t hate the hair, even though it should be a train wreck. She looks really young! Younger than she?s looked in a while.
God, do you know how much I love Paul Dano? He?s such a talented kid. I love his little hair flip too!
Doutzen Kroes decided the premiere needed some pregnant vadge, I guess. Are her legs insane or what? Out of all of the models out there, I wish I looked like her, from head to toe.

Having flown into town via helicopter earlier in the day, Katie Holmes showed off her longer locks while working the red carpet at the New York City premiere of "The Extra Man" on Monday (July 19).
Opting for the perfect summertime ensemble, the "Mad Money" cutie sported a blue and red striped lightweight dress as she eased her way inside Village East Theater.
As for the film, "The Extra Man" is about "a man who escorts wealthy widows in New York's Upper East Side taking a young aspiring playwright under his wing."
The movie co-stars Kevin Kline and Paul Dano - who both were also in attendance - while being co-directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini.

Having been busily been working away on The History Channel miniseries "The Kennedy's" as of late, Katie Holmes was spotted arriving via helicopter to New York City on Monday (July 19).
Wearing a casual dual-toned denim ensemble, the former "Dawson's Creek" darling proceeded to hop into a chauffeured SUV before being driven back to her and Tom Cruise's Big Apple pad.
Speaking of Tom, the "Top Gun" stud recently received kind words from his "Knight and Day" co-star Cameron Diaz via an interview with TV Week.
Diaz praise-fully said, ?Tom is all about family and it?s lovely to see him now with Katie, as well as Suri, (and his two adopted children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman) Bella and Connor."

Hard at work up north of the border, Katie Holmes was spotted enjoying a little downtime with Suri Cruise in Toronto, Canada on Thursday (July 15).
The mother/daughter duo both looked darling, with Katie in full costume/makeup as she was on break from filming scenes for a brand new project called "The Kennedy's".
Earlier in the day, Miss Holmes looked casual cute in a grey and white sleeveless top with a big black brimmed hat to block the summer sun.
As for the project, "The Kennedy's" is being produced for the History Channel as an eight-hour miniseries.
With Katie portraying Jackie O, she's joined by Greg Kinnear as President John F. Kennedy and Barry Pepper as Robert Kennedy.

The "Mad Money" actress was decked out in a pretty Pink costume as she put on some lipstick while daughter Suri watched from inside their vehicle.
As for the project, "The Kennedy's" is being produced for the History Channel as an eight-hour miniseries.
With Katie portraying Jackie O, she's joined by Greg Kinnear as President John F. Kennedy and Barry Pepper as Robert Kennedy.

She sure knows how to sing and dance, but contrary to a recent report, Katie Holmes will not appearing on ?Glee? anytime soon.
A few weeks back, the National Enquirer sparked the "Glee" rumor as the ?Mad Money? actress and Dianna Agron (who plays teen mom Quinn Fabray on the series) were filming for ?The Romantics.?
A rep for Mrs Tom Cruise tells press, however, the rumor is not true.
Meanwhile, hubby Tom has been busy promoting his latest flick, ?Knight and Day,? alongside co-star Cameron Diaz in Brazil.

Partaking in a mother/daughter outing, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were spotted out in Markham, Ontario, Canada on Sunday (June 27).
The former "Dawson's Creek" darling and her adorable 4-year-old hit up Whittamore?s Farm to go on a fun-filled strawberry picking session.
Katie is currently situated north of the border while working on a new miniseries for The History Channel called "The Kennedys" - in which she'll play the role of Jacqueline Kennedy.
Meanwhile, Katie's hubby, Tom Cruise, spent the day at Yankee Stadium - where he and son Connor cheered the hometown team to an 8-6 win over the LA Dodgers.

Many of really liked Katie Holmes?s Annie Hall-esque appearance in high-waisted jeans - she looked cute and long-legged, although the jeans weren?t flattering from every angle. It seemed that many of us thought it was a rare Katie Holmes Fashion Win, especially considering the chick has basically no idea how to dress herself, yet thinks she?s God?s gift to fashion. Anyway, we could probably set out watches to Katie Holmes? style disasters at this point, and after the rare win, we were due a bad fashion moment. So here are Katie and Tom out and about on a conveniently public ?date night? in New York last night. Oh, does Tom have a movie coming out? I HAD NO IDEA.
So? Katie?s outfit. Honestly, the pants aren?t terrible. I have so many pants that look just like this, that fit in the same way, and those pants look really comfortable. However, the sweatshirt? Is that what we?re calling it? A sequined sweatshirt? Pale Pink with gold sequins/beading, crewneck with elastic on the sleeves. It looks like a WalMart sweatshirt that Katie bedazzled with Suri while in a Vicodin-and-Xenu haze. ?Look at the pretty sparkles, Suri!? And Suri says, ?Mom, stop licking the window.?
Three more points: why can?t Tom and Katie just hold hands like a normal f-cking couple? Why does he always guide her, lead her, present her, pull her, treat her physically that way? Second point: Katie looks stoned in these photos. She?s looking up at the sky in half of them, like she?s blitzed out of her skull. Third point: Her hair. Jesus.

Last night (June 21) Katie was treated to a romantic dinner date by her husband Tom Cruise, who is in Manhattan doing press for his new movie ?Knight and Day?
Cruise and his costar Cameron Diaz also appeared today on the ABC morning show ?Good Morning America.?
