They?re one of the highest profile couples in Hollywood, and Katie Holmes says she?s still impressed by her husband Tom Cruise's massive success.
The ?Mad Money? mommy, who has been married to Cruise for over four years, told press she?d be a bit intimidated to work with Tom on a movie.
Katie explained, "Well, we do collaborate on everything at home. But I mean, he's Tom Cruise! His body of work is incredible."
"Every movie he's done has done really well. I look back, and everything's a classic. I definitely come home and say to him, 'So, imagine a scene ... how would you play it?' And he's helpful and sweet and gracious. He's quite an incredible human being."

Last summer, Katie Holmes ran far away from Xenu and went to Australia to film a creepy horror film called Don?t Be Afraid of the Dark. It was intended to be the definitive take on ?Life With Xenu: The Darkness Descends?. No, I jest. It?s a remake of a somewhat forgotten 1970s horror film that is getting a totally new, creepy, terrifying reboot by writer/director Guillermo del Toro. Originally, del Toro was supposed to direct the film, but he ended up just writing the screenplay and producing, while director Troy Nixey helmed the project. Even this attachment of del Toro?s name to the project is enough to send the fanboys into geek heaven, though. Fanboys love del Toro?s work, and from the few films I?ve seen of his oeuvre, he is one of the most imaginative writer/director/producerss working today. My favorite of his was Pan?s Labyrinth, a beautiful, creepy, sad, lush film that was part fairy tale and part nightmare. Anyway, here?s the trailer:
Apparently, del Toro and Nixey were aiming for a PG-13 rating, but when they submitted the film to the MPAA, it got an R rating. Del Toro told the crowd at Comic-Con: ?We originally thought we could shoot it as PG-13 without compromising the scares. And then the MPAA came back and gave us a badge of honor. They gave us an R for ‘pervasive scariness.’ We asked them if there’s anything we could do, and they said, ‘Why ruin a perfectly scary movie??? The basic plot: Guy Pierce (yay!) is the father to a young girl. Dad, the girl, and dad?s girlfriend Katie Holmes move into a creepy old mansion. The girl finds a secret basement, which is full of horrors and creepy things. LIKE XENU.
Seriously, though. I think this was a great career move for Katie. One her better choices. She does ?haunted? very well. Coughcoughallthetimecough.

We?ve been eagerly waiting for ?Don?t Be Afraid of the Dark? to come out, and now the official trailer has been released!
Katie Holmes and Guy Pierce star in the horrifying thriller about a lonely child who moves in with her father and his girlfriend.
Pierce and Holmes? characters live in a 19th century mansion that they are restoring, and it turns out the house has some serious problems with evil spirits.
?Don?t Be Afraid of the Dark? hits theaters on January 21st, 2011, but the trailer is a taste of what?s to come.

Keeping busy over the weekend, Katie Holmes was spotted arriving at a recording studio in Hollywood, California on Saturday (July 31).
Looking casual cute in a tank top and jeans overtop a black bodysuit, the former "Dawson's Creek" darling hopped out of her Mercedes CLK and headed inside to tend to the day's agenda.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Holmes is fresh off of filming The History Channel's upcoming miniseries event titled "The Kennedy's".
Playing Jackie O, Katie recently told Us magazine of the spectacular ensembles in which she got to wear, "I feel so lucky. We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things she wore. Armani made two dresses for me to wear."

Focused on business matters, Katie Holmes was spotted rushing off to a local office building on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California on Thursday afternoon (July 29).
Wearing a white blouse, olive green jacket, jeans with cuffs and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels, the "Dawson's Creek" darling has been to numerous meetings for undisclosed matters since returning to the west coast from Toronto.
As for her time north of the border, Katie was busy working on The History Channel's miniseries event "The Kennedys" - during which she brought daughter Suri along for company.
Definitely not roughing it, a source tells of Suri's grandeur in the Canadian locale, saying, ?She has her own driver and rides in her own $80,000 Escalade to and from the set! Suri loves running around the beautiful grounds, and playing and swimming in the pool at their amazing house when she is not on the set with Katie. There is also a playroom tailored to Suri. It has all of her favorite dolls and games, so it feels like home."

Despite the fact that Life & Style is reporting that she has a baby on the way, Katie Holmes is definitely not pregnant.
The tabloid deliberately makes it seem like the ?Dawson?s Creek? darling has a bun in the oven, but in the actual article, Holmes makes no mention of being preggers.
Life & Style erroneously states, ?A glowing Katie opens up about her joy of being a mom. She can?t stop touching her bump and has cravings for ice cream.?
But in reality, the ?bump? refers to an acting gig she?s been busy with as of late- playing a pregnant Jackie Kennedy. Katie?s rep emphatically stated, ?She?s not pregnant.?

Situated back on the west coast, Katie Holmes was spotted stepping out for weekend work duties in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday (July 24).
Keeping things casual, the "Mad Money" actress donned a white t-shirt and a comfortable pair of jeans as she partook in a two hour meeting at the Sunset Tower Hotel.
The sighting comes just after Mrs Tom Cruise returned home from Toronto, where she has been filming the History Channels upcoming miniseries, "The Kennedys".
Meanwhile, Katie's "Top Gun" hubby has been busy touring Europe alongside Cameron Diaz to promote their action flick, "Knight and Day".

Does Xenu approve of reality shows? ?Tis a question for the ages. Various British sources are claiming that Tom Cruise is ?contemplating? a reality show. But it?s a weird story - I think the gist is that it would be more like a short documentary series about Tom and Katie?s life together, with Xenu Suri rather. Tom wants complete control of it, and you know what? Even though this sounds like total bullsh-t, it?s something Tom really should consider. I would totally watch a Tom Cruise reality show, if it focused on his life with the Kate-Bot.
Tom Cruise is reportedly in talks to give the world a glimpse into his life with wife Katie Holmes as part of a TV documentary.
The Hollywood actor has been a regular in the gossip columns ever since he began dating the former Dawson’s Creek star, but the celebrity couple has managed to keep most of the details of their romance private.
Cruise is now said to be considering opening up their marriage by releasing footage he filmed of his wife and their young daughter, Suri, and is in talks with TV bosses about a possible show, according to Britain’s Grazia magazine.
A source tells the publication, “He’s been filming Katie and other aspects of his life for the past month. The original impetus was that he would select a few personal clips to show fans, but word has got out through his agents (CAA) and he is currently fielding offers from entertainment companies. Tom is now deliberating what to do with his footage. No deal has been struck??
“Tom places a premium on control, so he’s reluctant to commit to doing a reality TV show unless he’s 100 per cent certain it will reflect him and Katie in the best light possible… Releasing documentary footage is a way of getting closer to his public.”

My guess is that the closest he?ll ever come to doing something like this is maybe a television documentary, like they did for Madonna or Mick Jagger, with Primetime or whatever, following Tom around for a few weeks and they compile it into a two-hour special. It?s not going to be like, a Martin Bashir extravaganza. I also think that Tom might be contemplating various things to get his career on track, after Knight & Day?s bad domestic box office. Does Tom think that if we get to see him in private, we?ll like him more? That?s an interesting bet. Because the way I imagine Tom and Katie in private - yikes. My idea of it: Katie spends her days popping pills and spending Tom?s money, while Tom has ?extracurricular activities? with various lithe young men - discreetly, of course. I didn?t even think Katie and Tom even spent that much time together anymore?

She?s always had a graceful presence, and Katie Holmes is putting it to work for her as she plays former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in ?The Kennedys.?
The ?Mad Money? mommy told press she?s been having a blast working on the History Channel miniseries, and she especially digs the wardrobe.
"It's been really fun! Her clothes were magnificent. I feel so lucky. We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things she wore. Armani made two dresses for me to wear."
Katie continued, "She not only had great style, but she [was] an artist [and] a writer. She was an illustrator. She was an editor. Her great style was both appropriate for every event that she went to and also classic, and also things that were wearable. I feel really lucky to be playing her."

Making her way back north of the border, Katie Holmes was in costume on the set of "The Kennedy's" on Tuesday morning (July 20).
Looking radiant in red, the "Dawson's Creek" darling donned a white flower in her hair as she joined co-stars at the Canadian locale for the day's workload.
The "Kennedy's" shoot follows quite the travel intensive past day for Mrs Tom Cruise, who flew into New York City just yesterday afternoon.
Katie made the Big Apple trip to attend the red carpet premiere of another one of her many projects, "The Extra Man".
