Hot on the promotional trail, Katie Holmes paid a visit to "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" in New York City on Tuesday night (August 9).
The former "Dawson's Creek" star headed inside NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center where she joined host Jimmy Fallon for an interview about her new movie "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark".
During the course of her time on-set, Miss Holmes also partook in Fallon's typical game of the night - with the two competing in a fun-filled game of Pictionary.
As for Katie's soon-to-be-released film - which is set to hit theaters on Friday, August 26th - "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" is directed by Troy Nixey while telling the story of "a young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend who discovers creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own."

Yesterday, as I was covering the new photos of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri, I was wondering why the family was in LA when it seemed like Tom was having the time of his life down in Miami (Those poor Miami hustlers - I bet they got audited. HARD.). Sure, Tom took Katie out for a ?date night? Katy Perry concert (in which Katie wore one of the worst dong-repellent ensembles ever), but surely they didn?t go to LA just for a concert? Yeah, they totally did. Because yesterday, the Cruise-Holmes clan flew to NYC for Katie?s premiere. Her film Don?t Be Afraid of the Dark had it?s big red carpet premiere last night, and these are the photos. Note: Katie seems to have walked the red carpet by herself, but Tom was definitely there, and the paparazzi got lots of photos of the two of them after the premiere.
As for Katie?s style? I don?t hate the dress. It?s not the best thing ever, but it?s cute enough, especially when she pairs it with the grey cardigan. Guess who did the dress? KATIE! The dress is Holmes & Yang! It?s always funny to me that Katie fronts like she?s the second coming of Ralph Lauren when the Holmes & Yang line looks so budget. As I said, this dress is cute and everything, but if you were going to design something cute for your own premiere, why do a simple LBD?
What I do like about Katie?s premiere look: her hair looks good. I think she?s just decided to copy whatever Kate Middleton has done. And Katie?s makeup looks decent too. It?s funny, though - she looks alert and sober on the red carpet, but as soon as she?s holding hands with Tom, it?s like she becomes instantly zonked. Tom looked kind of weird last night too. What?s going on with him? His hair looks limp, he didn?t take his sunglasses off, and he didn?t walk the carpet with Katie. Is anyone else worried?

I thought this was one of those things like on soap operas where one day the baby is a baby and the next day it’s a walking-and-talking five-year old. Like nobody would notice that Suri looked, oh, six years older at the premiere of “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” last night. But then I read the tags on the pics and saw that it was actually some kid named Bailee Madison, but by then I had already uploaded the pictures. I’m as much a victim in this as you are.

Stepping out in the spotlight for her latest theatrical effort, Katie Holmes was front and center at the New York City premiere of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" on Monday night (August 8).
Joined by co-star Bailee Madison, producer Guillermo del Toro and director Troy Nixey, the 32-year-old actress was on-hand at the Walter Reade Theater venue after flying into town with husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri earlier the same morning.
As for Katie's new offering, the horror/thriller tells the tale of "a young girl who is sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend, only to discover creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own."
Also starring Guy Pearce, Alan Dale and Nicholas Bell, "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" is set for U.S. release on August 26, 2011.

These are photos of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri from their big weekend in LA. The night photos - of just Tom and Katie - are from last night, where Tom took his girl to a Katy Perry concert, like every 50-year-old husband does?? Girl, get it together! Katy Perry?!? I don?t know which one to mock more, Katie or Tom. At best, Katie loves Katy Perry, and Katie chose this concert as their date night, and Tom was just making his girl happy. At worst, Tom was like, ?Gurl, we need to see Katy shake that ass!? and Katie sighed and asked for another credit card.
Should we even talk about Katie?s concert ensemble? That outfit is like dong repellent. Tom is all, ?Bitch, I wasn?t even going near it anyway!? Also: Katie just looks high as hell whenever she?s around Tom these days. Does she have it on a schedule? Like, ?Take Quaaludes at 8 p.m., Concert with Tom, 9 p.m.? Oh, and Connor is with them! Dude.
Before the concert, on Saturday, Katie had an outing with Suri and Suri?s little doll. I love the look of concentration on Suri?s face, like she?s two seconds away from bitching out the paparazzi for photographing her doll. ?PRIVACY!? Suri would yell. As for Katie?s ensemble here? well, it?s not good. I thought Katie?s style was finally improving after she began making some pretty good choices in jeans and styling. But she?s relapsed! And she?s also wearing that fug hat that Tom was wearing for months.

Pairing up for a mother/daughter weekend outing, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were spotted out in Brentwood, CA on Saturday afternoon (August 6).
The "Mad Money" mommy led the way as he little angel adorably pushed a baby doll in a stroller with the two ladies doing a bit of shopping at the Brentwood Country Mart.
With both Katie and Suri dressed fashionably for the west coast excursion, Miss Holmes recently told Marie Claire that she actually takes clothing cues from her 5-year-old girl.
The 32-year-old actress dished, "My daughter has been choosing her own outfits since she was two. We go to fabric stores and sew together. Sometimes I take inspiration from Suri's fashion choices."
Katie added, "Suri is my style critic. I know I look good when Suri asks if she can have my outfit when she's older. Suri is magical when it comes to clothes - she's quite an artist."

Joining in on the footwork focused festivities, Katie Holmes attended the National Dance Day Celebration in Valencia, California over the weekend (July 30).
The "Mad Money" actress looked casual cute in a red-toned top with jeans and a brimmed hat as she took to the Six Flags Magic Mountain venue to partake in the day's dancin' doings.
As for the event, National Dance Day is "a grassroots initiative that encourages the nation, young and old, to move! Individuals, families, organizations and communities from across the nation come together through their creative expression in dance. Any style of dance is welcome and imagination is recommended in order to get the most out of this celebratory day."
Of the fun-filled happenings, National Dance Day creator and SYTYCD Executive Producer/Judge Nigel Lythgoe said, ?It?s a wonderful way to stay healthy and have fun whilst doing it."

What is with Katie Holmes and her ongoing trend of wearing stellar jeans? Aren?t these jeans awesome? I want a pair very badly. Apparently, they?re ?Paige Denim High Rise Bell Canyon jeans in Breckinridge.? Breckinridge is a color now?? Sure. I?m not even going to look up how much these jeans cost, though. I know it will just depress me. Let me live in these dream state for a little while longer where I can imagine that I too can find a great pair of jeans that will fit me this well.
Meanwhile, Katie and her new ?style? has taken the cover of Life & Style this week. And when I say ?style? I mean ?eating disorder?. At least according to L&S - the tabloid claims that Katie is such a powerless victim in her life, that she?s taking control of the one thing that Xenu doesn?t have an absolute say in: what food she consumed. Yes, Katie has apparently lost weight because she simply wanted to make ONE decision for herself, or as a source tells L&S, ?Tom may have taken over every aspect of her life, but only she has control over her body.? The insider even claims that Tom treats Katie ?like his Eliza Doolittle? and that Katie is on a ?near hunger-strike?. Meaning she drinks Diet Coke all day and works out a lot.
And now that she?s spending a lot of time in Miami, in a bikini, people are starting to notice her penis belly button weight loss. A witness to Katie?s slimness noted, ?It was jarring how painfully thin she looked.? No worries, though, because now that everyone is talking about how unhealthy she looks (seriously, she doesn?t look unhealthy at all), Katie will probably put some weight back on because Suri will order it. A source says, “Suri is the only bright light in Katie’s long lonely days.” Sure. Makes sense (not really). By the way, Katie?s rep denied the story to Gossip Cop.

Tending to her always-busy work schedule, Katie Holmes was spotted leaving a meeting at a West Hollywood, California office this afternoon (July 27).
The 32-year-old mother of one dressed in her usual classic garb, sporting a pair of over-sized sunglasses, white collared shirt and bell-bottom blue jeans.
According to tabloid reports, Katie is on a "near hunger strike" and looks "painfully thin," all because of her husband, Tom Cruise.
As a Life & Style source has claimed, Cruise treats Holmes ?like his Eliza Doolittle," forcing her to take control of the only aspect of her life that she can - her weight.
Despite the mag's insiders, a rep for the "Dawson's Creek" actress says the story is "ridiculous."

Her wholesome beauty has led to her status as a style icon, and Katie Holmes was looking gorgeous while posing for the cameras in Hollywood, CA on Tuesday (July 26).
The former "Dawson's Creek" star was tended to by hair, makeup and wardrobe personnel as she was outfitted in a colorful red, Pink and black skin-baring ensemble for the midday photo shoot.
Aside from her photo session, Miss Holmes has been enjoying time off - which has been spent mostly in Miami, Florida while husband Tom Cruise shoots his latest project "Rock of Ages".
Meanwhile, Katie is lined up to get to work on a romantic comedy titled "Responsible Adults," with the Jon Poll directed picture "centering on Baxter Wood (Crawford), who realizes that his crush, med student Liz Quinn (Holmes), was his babysitter 15 years ago."
