The latest in a long line of Awards ceremonies, The National Board of Review Awards was held last night at Cipriani’s 42nd Street in New York City, and there was plenty of celebrity presence in the house.
Salma Hayek showed up dressed to impress in a mocha-colored strapless silk dress with matching heels - a brave choice given the chilly Big Apple conditions.

Salma Hayek was on The Late Show last night and told some cute but worrying stories about her 16 month-old daughter, Valentina Paloma. The 42 year-old actress first talked to Letterman about Valentina’s sleep problems. Letterman commiserated with Hayek and said his five year-old son, Harry, often wakes up in the middle of the night, but always gets up at 6am every day. Salma says that Paloma sleeps well, but that she fusses, talks, and sleepwalks so much that she’s forced to wake up multiple times to make sure she’s ok:

“She talks, she screams, she sings, she claps, she sleepwalks, she screams for Barney, she fights with someone. When you have a child that sleepwalks, it’s really scary. Letterman asks Hayek about the baby’s father and if they’ll get married
Letterman joked that Hayek would get some regular sleep when Paloma is 18. Then he asked her about the baby’s father and what he did. Hayek looked a little embarrassed and simply said “His name is Franois-Henri, he’s French.” Although Salma didn’t address this on the show, she was once engaged to Franois-Henri but they broke up last summer. They have a friendly relationship and there have been reconciliation rumors, but it’s thought that they’re no longer together romantally.
Hayek went on to say that Valentina understands French, English and Spanish and “mixes the words.” She that Valentina is a little dictator and always points out minor garbage around the house, using the word “caca.”
Letterman pressed Hayek a little bit about Franois-Henri. He asked “I understand you kids are engaged. Is there going to be a wedding?”
Hayek answered, “I don’t know, maybe, but then again, maybe not.”
It sounds pretty scary to have a child that sleepwalks and fights and sings in her sleep. I skimmed a few articles about sleepwalking and night terrors in children, and the estimates of how common it is vary, with up to 17% of children sleepwalking. Sleepwalking can start as soon as a child can walk, and when it starts at a young age like that the child tends to grow out of it in adolescence. Hayek probably has many more years of sleepless nights to look forward to.

Beautiful in blue, Salma Hayek was spotted arriving at the famed Ed Sullivan Theater for a “Late Show” appearance in New York City on Tuesday evening (January 13).
Visiting Letterman in the midst of her guest role on “30 Rock,” the “From Dusk ‘til Dawn” beauty just recently arrived in the Big Apple with daughter Valentina after attending the Golden Globes over the weekend.

Celebrities just have better genes than the rest of us. It?s undeniable. Naomi Watts ? already gorgeous and thus carrying some obviously great genes ? has already lost the vast majority of her pregnancy weight, just a month after giving birth to son Samuel Kai Schreiber. Naomi looked absolutely glowing last night at the New York premiere of boyfriend Liev Schreiber’s film ?Defiance.? Celebs just seem to be able to bounce back from pregnancy much quicker than the rest of us.
New moms, eat your hearts out. On Monday ? only two days shy of a month after giving birth to her second child ? Naomi Watts was close to having back her pre-baby figure, as evidenced at the Cinema Society and Nextbook.org-sponsored New York premiere of her partner Liev Schreiber’s World War II drama Defiance.
How did she manage to drop the baby weight so quickly? “I’m breast feeding,” Watts, 40, told PEOPLE about her routine with Samuel Kai Schreiber. “And he’s sucking it all out of me, it seems. And when the baby comes out, it’s a lot of weight right there.”
A couple since 2005, Watts, 40, and Schreiber, 41, also have another son, Alexander Pete Schreiber, born in July 2007.
“They’re very different,” Watts said of her two boys. “[Sammy]’s more fragile, in a way. But I don’t know, maybe I’ve forgotten how small they are. [Alexander] is only 18 months old.
“And I’ve also got this big baby right here,” she said, pointing to Schreiber at her side on the red carpet.

Not everyone is as lucky as Naomi and able to lose baby weight by breastfeeding. In April Salma Hayek told Oprah that she didn?t lose weight due to it, and had to work hard at diet and nutrition.
A lot of people make is sound like all you have to do is breastfeed and the weight will just fall off. I remember some episode of ?Desperate Housewives? where a character said it was like doing an hour of cardio. Not that anyone should ever rely on that show for health advice. It was a nice idea, but it definitely seems to be untrue for most women. Naomi must be one of the very lucky few if that?s what?s responsible for most of her weight loss. She?s probably eating well too, and no matter what she looks absolutely stunning.

Megan Fox got invited to the adults? table for the Golden Globes, and she sort of blew it. Clad in a too-tight, sequined, gold dress, Fox seemed a little drunk or off-kilter during her presenting duties and her red carpet interviews. She came off like a very insecure girl with a lot of issues. Which is probably the truth, so I at least have to give her credit for not ?acting? her way through the interviews. Perhaps she was feeling so insecure because her long-time boyfriend, Beverly Hills 90210 (classic, not new) alum Brian Austin Green wasn?t there to hold her hand.
Megan Fox is probably one of young Hollywood’s most beautiful actresses–and yet she’s the only one who doesn’t seem to know it.
“I’m a tranny. I’m a man,” Fox joked to E!’s Giulianna Rancic on the red carpet of Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards. “I’m painfully insecure, like I’m on the verge of vomiting right now, I’m so horrified that I’m here, and embarrassed, I’m scared.”
The Transformers star didn’t stop there! Fox, 22, kept watching the monitor on the red carpet and admired more than a few of her favorite actresses.
“I love that you’re looking at Salma Hayek,” Rancic told the actress, who replied, “I want her boobs! Those are the most amazing boobs. Perfect.”
Noticeably absent from Fox’s side was her long time beau, Brian Austin Green.
“He doesn’t want to be here,” she explained. “You know, he doesn’t want to be my date. He’s a man. He has an ego.”
This was Megan’s first trip to the Golden Globes and, when asked about her diet regime in preparation for the big night, she held nothing back.
“Well, I do have a 22 inch waist, I will say that. But, I basically starve myself for a month. I’m kidding, I did a lot of pilates. An immense amount of pilates.”

Okay, so I?m not a card-carrying member of The Megan Fox Fan Club, but even I acknowledge that Fox is *way* better than Brian Austin Green. He should be begging to escort her places. He should be thanking God for every day he gets to spend with a girl so out of league. So what?s with his attitude? Does he think he?s too good to escort his girlfriend to the Golden Globes? Does Fox really have such devastatingly low self-esteem that she doesn?t understand that she could do much, much better? Considering her half-baked ?tranny? jokes, it?s probably not too far off the mark.

Following a big night out at the Golden Globes, Salma Hayek was spotted arriving at LAX Airport with her daughter Valentina on Monday morning (January 12).
The mother/daughter duo were on their way out of town, making their way up to the security checkpoint as little Valentina curiously looked at the paparazzo photographing the pair.

The big winner at the Golden Globes was Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire winning best dramatic picture and best director. And even though the Golden Globes website may have prematurely starred Anne Hathaway’s name, she didn’t win for best actress. That honor went to Kate Winslet for Revolutionary Road. Finally, Steven Spielberg received the Cecil B. DeMille Award. But, the real winner at yesterday’s awards was you the viewer because Salma Hayek showed up in an awesome dress that had her breasts spilling . This was one of the few times that I though 3-D TV would have been a really good idea.

The 42-year-old Mexican actress was on-hand for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards - a show in which Miss Hayek is acting as one of the night’s presenters.
