Tori Spelling has a new video interview posted on US Weekly’s website, and the more she talks the more I find myself rolling my eyes and hoping she’ll go away. She’s promoting her latest book, Mommywood, and continues to talk about her allegedly difficult weight loss and her estranged relationship with her mother, which has been playing out in the media. All of that is somewhat old news, but one thing that surprised me is that Tori, like some other high-profile cheaters before her, is willing to talk about falling in love with also-married Dean McDermott on the set of a Lifetime movie of the week. In fact Tori goes into surprising detail about the moment she met Dean.
Tori described when she first saw Dean as “like a million blocks of hearts first fell on me,” and added that she knew right then that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. She just happened to be married at the time to someone else, and so was Dean. In fact, Dean was in the process of adopting a child with his wife.
“I’ve never had a connection [with a co-star]. With Dean it was different. I remember the moment… literally I was sitting with the director, he said ‘Your co-star is here,’… it was like a million blocks of hearts just fell on me. And I saw him and I was like ‘oh my gosh.’ I’ll never forget that moment seeing him and I just knew. And that was it, ‘there’s the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. He’s gonna father my children, and he’s my soul mate.’… I fell madly in love.
[Roughly transcribed from Tori Spelling's interview with US Weekly, shown above]
No mention of her husband, no mention of Dean’s wife, just “there’s the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.” It’s a good thing for Tori that Dean reciprocated, because if he didn’t she would have had to fall back on the guy she had already pledged to spend the rest of her life with.

Candy and Tori Spelling have more money than many third world countries, thanks to Spelling matriarch Aaron, but even all that dough can’t get rid of their family problems. In Tori’s memoir, she reveals that her mother was extremely critical of her as a child - her looks, her weight, her talent - nothing was out of bounds. The mother and daughter’s strained relationship only got worse after Aaron passed away. But now, as both women are preparing to launch new books, Candy Spelling is reaching out to her estranged daughter via the Internet.
Claiming she’s heard nothing but silence from her daughter, Candy Spelling has posted an emotional public letter to Tori Spelling, urging her to help repair their relationship.
“You haven’t responded to my emails, phone calls and text messages,” Candy, 63, says Monday on CandySpelling.com. “You say you look at my website, so I’m trying to reach you that way. I want to see you and your family ? in private, like the ‘normal family’ you say always wanted.”
Candy says she’s been cut off from Tori, 35, and her two children with husband Dean McDermott, Liam, 2, and Stella, 10 months. Tori has responded that her mother can contact her, telling PEOPLE, “She knows how to reach me, she knows where we live.”
The spat comes as both have authored new books ? Candy’s released last month, Tori’s reaching stores Tuesday.
“With your book coming out [Tuesday], the war of words will escalate,” writes Candy on her Web site. “That’s not what I want. I want us to be a family.”
Responding to Tori’s claim that her mother hasn’t “stepped up” to have a relationship, Candy writes, “Well, I’m stepping up. Call me, write me, text me.”
“I’m a mother who, like every mother, wants communication and a great relationship with you, my daughter, and your family,” writes Candy. “I’d love to work it out the way all families try to resolve issues. In private. But, as I wrote in my book, I was a celebrity by marriage” ? her husband is the late TV producer Aaron Spelling ? “then a celebrity by motherhood. That means that my life is public. I’m used to it. It comes with the territory.
“What makes it so difficult is to hear you say things like: I’d like to call my mother, or I love my mother but don’t speak to her, or I think she has my nanny’s phone number,” continues Candy. “I don’t want a reunion via talk show or to speak through the press. I want a relationship with you and my grandchildren.”
It is signed, “I am hopeful. Love, Mom.”
[From People.com]
If it weren’t well documented that these two aren’t speaking to each other, I’d think this was a publicity stunt to promote both books. Not that I wouldn’t put it past either of them. Mothers and daughters have conflicts every day. If it weren’t for Aaron Spelling and his money, nobody would give a crap about either one of these people. But clearly, there are some longstanding issues here. It doesn’t seem like Candy Spelling thinks she’s done anything wrong, and Tori seems happy enough without having her mother in her life. So who knows if anything will come from this? It still won’t make me buy either book.

| Tori Spelling's mom says she got a lot more inheritance than she claims | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Tori Spelling claimed that she got just $800,000 from her father’s 1/2 billion estate and that a lot of it went to pay off debt she had amassed. She even held a yard sale in late 2006 to make some money. She then tried to make it seem as if she used her inheritance to buy the inn that was featured on her reality show, “Tori and Dean: Inn Love,” but that inn was rented. Tori’s estranged mom Candy Spelling is set to claim in her upcoming book that Tori got a lot more than just $800,000 in inheritance and that Tori was rich and set for life after making millions on her dad’s TV shows:
Expect more fireworks in Tori Spelling’s ongoing feud with her mom Candy - after Candy accused her daughter of flat-out lying about her inheritance!
The shocking claim comes in Candy’s new book “Stories from Candyland,” and The Enquirer has an exclusive sneak peek of the blockbuster memoir.
The nasty mother-daughter feud heated up after legendary Hollywood TV producer Aaron Spelling died in 2006. His $500 million estate was due to be divided between Tori, her brother Randy and their mom, his second wife Candy.
Tori said she expected to inherit a sizable portion of the estate, but she claimed Candy, who was the executor, approved an inheritance of just $800,000.
“But in Candy’s new book, she pretty much calls Tori a liar, saying Tori had been left much, much more money, although she doesn’t give a specific amount,” a publishing insider revealed.
“In addition, Candy says Tori was already ’stinking rich’ and had made millions starring in her father’s show ‘Beverly Hills, 90210.’
[From The National Enquirer, print edition, April 13, 2008]
Candy definitely has an axe to grind after her daughter trashed her in her biography, sTori Telling, and you can see why Tori has an issue with her. Tori is a piece of work too though and is said to not even have visited her dad in the last few months before he died, and to not have attended his burial.
I’m inclined to believe that Tori really was broke before she got her inheritance as I remember reading that someone witnessed her unable to pay for stuff with two credit cards that were both maxed out. After that it’s possible that she got more than a million in inheritance and it’s also possible she blew that too given that she said she was unable to stop spending. Her brother said that he got just $800k too and that they knew that’s all they would be receiving well ahead of time.
Tori is hustling and making money her own way. She still has a reality show on Oxygen titled “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood,” a jewelry line with HSN and another book coming out, titled Mommywood, on April 14. She’s not going away any time soon. Maybe if her mom had thrown some more cash at her she would have bought some respite from having to deal with tell-all books and seeing her daughter’s grinning mug all over the tabloids.

A few days ago we reported on Candy Spelling?s promotional tour for her book, Stories from Candyland, and her claims that she?s never met her granddaughter, she doesn?t know where Tori lives, and that she doesn?t really get along with Tori?s husband Dean.
This week?s Star Magazine cover claims that Tori Spelling is so stressed out over her mother that she’s dropped to ?a frail 98 lbs.? There are fears that Tori might be anorexic, but the picture on the cover looks photo-shopped to me. Still, even if the picture is computer-generated, Tori has gotten very slim lately. Star claims there is a ?blood feud? between the two women, but that Tori is afraid of the family secrets Candy might reveal in the book.
Tori Spelling has dropped to a frail 98 lbs. — and Star has learned that her mother is to blame!
In our April 13 issue — on sale today — we report that Candy Spelling, who the actress has been estranged from since December 2007, has ramped up the blood feud between mother and daughter by spilling many of Tori’s intimate secrets in a new tell-all, and the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum is so upset by it, she can’t even bring herself to eat.
“It’s not good,” warns an insider. “Tori’s so stressed over her mom’s new book, she has no appetite but is still exercising every day. Her friends are all worried that she may be anorexic. She’s now down to a size zero.”
Candy’s book, Stories from Candyland is revenge for Tori’s own 2008 memoir, sTori Telling, in which she ripped into her mother for a little of everything. In Candyland, Candy rebuts a lot of Tori’s claims and paints her as spoiled and ungrateful.
From Star Magazine
I find a lot of this really sleazy, and I find myself more and more being on Team Tori. If her mother is really vindictive enough to attack her daughter so publicly, Tori really must have had a difficult childhood. I don?t mean ?difficult? in an abusive way, just that Candy sounds like a real piece of work.

Tori Spelling attributes her new gaunt figure to the pressure of being thin in Hollywood. Spelling says there’s so much media scrutiny and hints that you’re a failure if you’re above a size 0. She tells Us:
“They scrutinize you so much. You try to be the person who says, ‘Oh, I don’t care,’ but I feel the pressure,” she told Usmagazine.com Thursday at the Pull-Ups Potty Dance Party in NYC.
“You’re out there; your picture is in every magazine. They’re looking at you from every angle, no matter what you do,” she added. “You have to be careful getting out of cars now because they shoot up your skirt. Everything has to look good, and of course, there’s pressure to do so. I definitely feel it.”
Oh, whatever. No one cares about Tori Spelling. The only pressure she feels is the doctor pressing his hands on her stomach to figure out how much fat to lipo out. My first thought when I saw new photos of Tori Spelling wasn’t, “Gosh, Tori really slimmed down,” it was, “Tori Spelling is still alive? And people still take pictures of her?” Tori couldn’t even pay a photog to hide under her car to take an upskirt shot. Suggesting it would be like shouting “fire” in a crowded theater. Even alluding to it should be an offense punishable by death.

Wah wah wah, Tori Spelling is moaning about how she feels pressured to be thin in Hollywood. Last time I checked, she didn’t have a flourishing career, so if she really wanted to, she could get the hell out of the public eye, move away from Hollywood, and fatten up, little filly. She told US Magazine at the Pull-Ups Potty Dance Party in NYC (I kid you not),
“You’re out there; your picture is in every magazine. They’re looking at you from every angle, no matter what you do,” she added. “You have to be careful getting out of cars now because they shoot up your skirt. Everything has to look good, and of course, there’s pressure to do so. I definitely feel it.”
Spelling — who has two kids, Stella, 8 months, and Liam, 23 months — said losing her baby weight “was much easier the second time. I keep saying this, but it’s true.
“I think the first time I was so stressed and knew I had to lose it. This time I did it with my family,” added the star, who credited a healthy diet and jogging with helping her shed pounds. “I didn’t do a super diet fad or a workout routine. I literally did everything with my kids and my husband. Before I knew it, [the weight] came off.”
Guess what, Bonejangles? You better start eating some oats and mash and fatten up, or it’s off to the glue factory for you.
At a Christian Siriano fashion show–the security guard wouldn’t let her in at first until the PR people told him that she had been invited. Ouch! And my point exactly.

Celebrities walked the runway at fashion week in New York today for the annual Heart Truth Red Dress Collection, sponsored by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. Working it for a good cause were Patricia Arquette, Susan Lucci, Amanda Bynes, Jennie Garth, Hilary Duff, and Katie Couric. 90210’s Tori Spelling looked the most like an actual, underfed model. Her arms are like toothpicks. Tori has admitted that she feels pressure to be thin, and is quoted as saying “They scrutinize you so much. You try to be the person who says, ‘Oh, I don’t care,’ but I feel the pressure.”
Compare Tori’s diminutive look to the other celebrities who look comfortable and normal-sized. I have a friend who is tiny like that and she says she’s hurt when people point it out, so maybe I should listen to her and be more compassionate toward Spelling. I’m not a fan of Spelling, though, and generally find her to be a self-absorbed twit.
Patricia Arquette is gorgeous and I love how cute Katie Couric is, she’s almost shy out there. Amanda Bynes looks incredible in that short dress.
Newsday has more details on the event as well as the designers responsible. Many of the dresses modeled will be auctioned off starting February 27 on Clothes Off Our Backs. The proceeds will go to the Foundation For National Institutes of Health.

Leaving her SoCal digs behind for a weekend in the Big Apple, Tori Spelling was spotted arriving at her Manhattan hotel earlier today (February 13).
The “Beverly Hills 90210” veteran looked a bit cranky as she climbed out of her SUV, sporting a black jacket overtop a green blouse with grey trousers and black flats.
