Sometimes I wish I could have the confidence and complete lack of giving of f-k of say, Tori Spelling, but then I realize that would make me a worse person than I already am. Tori owes hundreds of thousands to creditors but shes still doing her thing and acting like nothing matters. I get antsy if I forget to pay the water bill on time, but Tori is out here skipping court dates and Instagramming her travels. On Friday Tori was scheduled to appear in court for failing to pay a judgment against her. She owes over $260k to City National Bank on an unpaid loan from 2016. Thats a default judgment because neither she nor her lawyer showed up in court. This is just one of Toris many unpaid creditors. Shes had her accounts seized by the IRS, she owes $88k to Amex and she also owes back taxes to the State of California. So Tori didnt show up in court and the judge issued a bench warrant and set her bail at $5k, according to E!.
We know that Tori was in Israel on Monday with her buddy Jennie Garth and her new face because Tori Instagrammed it. They were doing a commercial for a kids clothing line. This reminds me of when Toris husband Deans ex wife was making it public that Dean owed her over $100k in back child support while Tori and Dean were in Iceland on vacation. Again we know because Tori Instagrammed that too.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are house hunting. Last week they were seen looking at an open house in Calabasas, presumably for sale, and at a rental home in Tarzana about twenty minutes away. (Radar reports it like its the same house, but it looks different in the photos and they list it in another location.) Tori and Deans money issues run so deep that their assets were seized by the federal government and theyve been sued by multiple creditors. Plus Dean owes over six figures in back child support. Tori has made it clear that she loves big homes, she grew up in the biggest home in LA County after all, and why should she change? So theyre looking for a home with enough bedrooms for all five of their kids. Radar Online points out that the rental home they toured, which costs $8,500, is actually $2,000 a month cheaper than the massive home theyre renting now. I guess Toris mom pays for it. Candy has said she pays all Toris bills.
If I could afford to rent a house for $5,000 a month, even with a partner, I would consider myself rich and massively successful. It feels luxurious to me to rent a house in my small town considering some of the roach-infested apartments I?ve had where you can hear neighbors walking upstairs. If I was in a city or a more affluent area I would be in an apartment again and there?s no shame in that. There is shame in living like Tori and Dean when you owe hundreds of thousands to creditors and have had years to get your sh-t together. They just feel entitled to this lifestyle. I guess Tori has the 90210 reboot coming up so shes spending that paycheck already. Maybe she thinks its ok since shes saving money if they move. I cant imagine considering an $8,500 a month 3,500 square foot home with a pool and three bedrooms downsizing but grifters are going to grift.
Note that I have considered whether Radar is totally wrong about this house as it looks like a different house than the one they were photographed outside. If thats the case, they were still touring a house for sale like theyre going to buy one.

I stopped following Tori Spelling on Instagram because she posts long videos rambling about how awesome her life is. Her main moneymaker seems to be sponsored content and she also posts a ton of photos of her kids. Her oldest child, daughter Stella, 10, has her own Instagram account to promote her slime business. Both Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, link Stellas Instagram from their accounts. So Tori and Deans business model is all about putting their kids on Instagram. Its no surprise that Tori doesnt intend to stop doing this. She told E! during an appearance at a conference for motherhood or something that shes proud of her kids and isnt going to change. She also talked about a potential 90210 reboot (of course shes for it) and some trainer she hired to lose weight.
On getting criticized for putting her kids on Instagram
Im not going to stop putting my kids out there. Im proud of my kids. Im just like any mother out there. It was their first day of school and I was taking a picture and I was proud. I think its beyond disappointing. In a world where we talk about evolving yet we spend so much of our time shaming others. I think the most disappointing thing was seeing other moms shaming another mom.
On a 90210 reboot
Theres definitely been talk about it. Were definitely all still friends. We love each other and would love to work together. At this point, we feel like we were the O.G. and theres been a lot of reboots of other shows and we want to take our time and really do it right and not just give you the plain ole, ?Hey its the reboot. Now were in our 40s. Heres life. We want to do a different version of a reboot and its definitely going to be something thats going to wow people and were all talking about it right now.
On her weight loss accountability coach
Teddi and I met through a mutual friend. With my other four kids, the weight came off?I worked at it but it came off relatively easy. The weight after my fifth child, after Beau, didnt happen. I felt kind of stuck in the weight world.
I started working with Teddi and its been life changing. My confidence is like through the roof.

I bet the trainer/accountability coach is paying Tori for the mention because thats how Tori operates. At the very least shes comping services in exchange for this mention. Also, Im incredulous that Tori has ever had an issue with confidence. As for putting her kids on Instagram, a lot of parents do this and its their prerogative I guess. Theres a real problem with mommy shaming online, but its telling that Tori is calling out other moms who criticize her as if theyre traitors to mommyhood. That sounds like Taylor Swifts approach to feminism.

In March, cops were called twice in 24 hours to Tori Spelling?s house for domestic incidents. Tori called the cops the first time, believing that there was a robbery in progress late at night. That was just Dean coming home and failing at sneaking in. The next morning, Dean called emergency services on Tori, claiming she was flipping out and aggressive. That call was characterized by dispatch as ?female mental illness.? A follow-up story in People quoted a source who claimed that Tori has ?a ton of pressure and stress, with the kids, work and her marriage.? The police were called again a couple of days later when paparazzi followed Tori and Dean to a diner, where they appeared to be arguing. Tori is angling for a reality show so it remains unclear what is staged for publicity and what is real, but she was obviously having marital problems. According to Tori though everything is great now, her family life is so ?balanced? and she?s supermom, basically. She gave an interview to US saying that she also wants a sixth baby (she and Dean have five kids under 12) but claiming that it would be too much for Dean. Tori, on the other hand steps up and does whatever that?s needed, according to Tori.

?My husband and I have it so balanced. We really balance each other with getting it all done. We?re kind of that rock for each other. I always feel you?re not given more than you can handle.?

She claims that she is able to do whatever is required, but that Dean would go crazy if they had a sixth kid. ?He?s doing the best he can,? while ?the more you put on my plate, the more creative I am, the more things get done.? They are not totally balanced with a perfect life, she feels like she?s doing all the work while Dean isn?t pulling his weight and is holding her back from having another baby. Remember when he wanted to have a vasectomy after the fourth one and she cried poor? She?s not too poor to hold lavish parties for her kids and go on long European family vacations.

Celebrity money problems somewhat fascinate me. I say this as someone who drives a ten year old car with sh-tty air conditioning (I?m planning to trade it in this summer for a newer used car) and shops at Goodwill. Sometimes I splurge on shoes or a purse and I definitely go out to dinner too much but overall I live within my means. So Tori Spelling, who could be living large but still reasonably given her income, is deep in debt. Her bank accounts were recently drained by the IRS so I doubt she has any liquid assets whatsoever. In order to have your accounts seized you have to have ignored multiple attempts by the IRS to contact and work with you on a repayment plan. So just keep that in mind when you hear that a default judgment was ordered against Tori for nonpayment to one of her other many creditors. She didn?t even bother to show up to court or hire a lawyer to represent her. How deep in denial do you have to be to do this? She took out a 400k loan in 2010 and owes a bunch on that and is also almost $17k overdrawn on her account.
E! News has obtained the court documents in which a judge ruled they will now have to pay off a $220,000 default judgment.
The ruling came after the couple missed a subpoenaed court appearance last week regarding the couple’s on-going legal battle with City National Bank, who is suing them after they allegedly failed to pay off a $400,000 loan from 2010.
According to the docs, Tori and Dean failed to pay $185,714 plus an additional $2,407 in interest and $681 in late charges for a total of $188,803 from the 2010 loan. Additionally, the bank is asking Tori for $17,149, which she allegedly overdrew in September and has yet to repay.
Thus, in total, City National Bank was seeking about $205,000 in damages from the couple.
The couple missed the deadline to respond to the bank’s allegations in court on May 22. Therefore, the judge granted the bank’s motion for default judgement, ordering them to pay $202,066.10 to City National Bank plus an additional $17,730.56 for a grand total of $219.796.66.

E! reminds us of Tori’s other debts. Not only did she get cleaned out by the IRS, she also has a tax lein of $259k to the state of California for back taxes from 2014, and she’s been sued by AmEx twice for over 100k in credit card debt she didn’t pay. I would wonder why she hasn’t filed for bankruptcy yet but that would require acknowledging that she has a problem, which she’s so unwilling to do she doesn’t even respond to subpoenas or summons from the IRS. In case you’re wondering how she got into this mess just check out her Instagram, which is a handy guide to her lavish spending. A lot of her posts are sponsored so it’s hard to separate out the things she’s been comped vs. what she’s splurging on, but she did take her family out for oysters and escargot recently. Also, she never Instagrammed the giant bounce houses she rented for an Easter party for her kids. She’s probably spending a lot and hiding it.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are “broke,” relatively speaking. They’re deep in debt and owe hundreds of thousands to creditors including credit card companies, the State of California and the IRS. Judging from Tori’s Instagram and the news we hear about them, they haven’t downsized their lifestyle at all, which is how they got into this mess in the first place. Unless Tori gets significant help from her mom, the very wealthy Candy Spelling, and/or sells her stuff and stops shopping, they’re just going to keep repeating this cycle. Money was likely motivating Tori to have her latest baby, Beau Dean, as Candy doesn’t like to pay for Tori’s stuff but will make sure her grandbabies are supported. Plus Tori is relying on renewed public interest in her with this fifth child. Anyway at least one of Tori’s creditors has been paid. Apparently the IRS drained her and Dean’s bank accounts for back taxes. Page Six had this story:
Page Six has learned that the IRS has emptied bank accounts belonging to late TV mogul Aaron Spelling?s daughter Tori Spelling and her husband, Dean McDermott.
In July 2016, it was reported that the couple ? who had their fifth child in March ? were slammed with a federal tax lien for $707,487.30 in unpaid federal taxes for their 2014 bill alone.
Meanwhile, Page Six reported that McDermott?s ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, is threatening him with jail over unpaid child support for their 18-year-old son, Jack. During a court hearing over the child support in March, McDermott told a judge that he had ?fallen on hard times.?
And their struggles don?t stop there. In November 2016, ?Entertainment Tonight? reported that the couple were also being sued by American Express over an unpaid credit-card balance of $87,595.55 and had been sued by the same company earlier in the year over a $37,981.97 bill.

Page Six goes on to remind us that Tori wanted another reality show, of course, “that would frame her as a Martha Stewart-like domestic goddess.” I’m sure she would plug a bunch of products and services on it if she was lucky enough to land one. I am not familiar with the circumstances required for the IRS to get access to bank accounts (knock wood) but it’s called a levy and they can also garnish wages and seize property including cars, real estate, etc. Maybe this will be a wakeup call for her to stop spending, but I doubt it.

When Tori Spelling first announced her fifth pregnancy, in an interview with People Magazine, she told an anecdote about her husband, Dean McDermott, expressing shock. Tori said that Dean’s response to her pregnancy was that they just got the youngest child out of diapers and that he “thought we were in the clear.” So you would think that with four young children already another baby would only add to their level of stress. However now that their youngest, Beau Dean, arrived last month, Tori claims that it’s just saved her troubled marriage. As you remember Dean cheated on Tori in 2014 with a Canadian woman in a plotline which may have been fabricated for their reality show. Regardless they were having a lot of problems and four kids did not make it easier. Plus Tori is 43 and Dean is 50. It’s not like they’re both young, many people at Dean’s age have kids in college already. Only now they have another baby and Tori wants us to know that’s solved everything.
?Everyone was saying, ?Divorce him! [after he cheated] Why is she staying with him? That is weak,’? she tells PEOPLE exclusively. ?But my gut instincts just shut it all out, and I said, ?I love this man. If there is a way to work it out, I want to try to do that.? ?
The couple underwent intense marriage counseling and McDermott entered rehab.
?We worked on everything,? says Spelling. ?The relationship as we knew it died. We had to bury that and start new.?
For the couple, who are already parents to Liam, 10, Stella, 8, Hattie, 5, and Finn, 4 ?McDermott is also dad to Jack, 18, from his previous marriage ? welcoming baby No. 5 has come to symbolize a fresh start.
?Rebuilding our marriage took time,? she tells PEOPLE. ?And now, having a new baby, it makes sense. It?s like a new baby in a new relationship.?

The last we heard Dean owed significant child support to his first wife, who was taking him to court over it. Dean and Tori currently owe hundreds of thousands to creditors including the state of California for back taxes. So they’re selling us an image of a happy family complete with baby Beau. (I have a hard time with that name because my aunt has a dog named Beau and it’s spelled the same way.) Anyway I hope they’re ok for the sake of their kids but this baby was a cash grab by Tori and Dean seems like he’s just along for the ride.

Earlier this week it was reported that Tori Spelling was ordered to pay nearly $40,000 to American Express to settle a debt of about $39k plus court fees. AmEx sued Tori in January for failure to make payments on her bill. Over the summer we heard that she also owed over a quarter million dollars in back taxes to the state of California and it’s been rumored that she has other extensive credit card debt. That’s to be expected given her lifestyle, which included an extended trip to Europe this summer, although she did do some promotional appearances. So Tori has money problems, and she also has four children, ranging in age from four to nine, with her husband of ten years, Dean McDermott. Tori and Dean predictably marital problems, she claimed he cheated on her in 2014, but she forgave him and they had that romantic vacation over the summer. It looks like they didn’t take precautions because Tori is pregnant, at 43 years old, with her fifth child.
And baby makes seven: Tori Spelling is expanding her family once again.
?It was a total surprise,? Spelling tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week?s issue of her impending fifth child with husband Dean McDermott. ?But we always wanted a big family. I?m really excited.?
The pair are already parents to Liam, 9, Stella, 8, Hattie, 5 and Finn, 4. Dean also has an 18-year-old son, Jack, from his previous marriage.
