The tabloids are full of random stories about Brangelina this week, as is the case nearly every week. OK! Magazine claims that Brad and Angelina had a ?26 day fight? - mostly because it was 26 days between photos of Brad and Angelina together. OK!?s sources says that in private, The Brange are ?at each other?s throats? but it?s all cool because they know how to make up, probably because of all of the whips and handcuffs and such. The insider claims, ?After their epic fights, they are usually in bed for a solid 24 hours.” Ew. Star Magazine also has a story about Brad and Angelina fighting? over when to adopt! In a refreshing change of pace, in this story, it?s BRAD who wants another kid and Angelina is the one saying no. Brad wants another little African girl. Probably because the Empress demands it. Meanwhile, Us Weekly?s story about The Fightin? Brangelinas is kind of blah - according to them, they?re fighting because Angelina is super-bored:
So much for ?jolly? ole England! A source tells Hot Stuff Angelina Jolie is so unhappy with Brad Pitt?s endless days shooting World War Z in the UK that she?s considering leaving the country until he finishes the film.
?She?s not pleased being at home while he?s on set,? says the source. ?These are the longest hours he?s spent on a set in a while, so it?s just her and the kids with not much to do.?
And now comes Jolie?s chance to jet: On July 31, Pitt moved from the sleepy London suburb of Richmond to tiny Falmouth, England (pop: 22,000). It remains to be seen whether she will join him - or call it a wrap!
[From Us Weekly, print edition]
Once again, it?s an interesting change of pace. Usually the ?Brangelina fight because of work schedules? stories appear only when Angelina?s got a job, not Brad. Yay for wanting your man to stay barefoot and pregnant at home!
Last Brangelina story, and it comes from In Touch, who still have a hate-on for Angelina.
According to a new report, Angelina doesn?t really pay attention to her brood, ignores Shiloh the most and lets the nannies do all the work!
Angelina Jolie portrays herself as a woman who can do it all ? be an award-winning actress, humanitarian, loving partner to Brad Pitt and amazing mother to their children, Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. So how does she manage everything? Well, according to In Touch, she uses nannies and hardly ever parents her kids!
?She?s preoccupied; she doesn?t have a lot of time for them,? an insider tells In Touch. She?s doting in public” but “cold, impatient and less than affectionate” with her kids behind closed doors.
The magazine even describes her as an ?ice-queen? mom! And of all the kids ? Shiloh gets the least amount of attention.
?During a game of war with her brothers, Shiloh fell down and got bruised,? the insider explains, adding that Angelina didn?t do anything about it! ?She let a nanny handle it.?
?Her parenting just isn?t as warm and fuzzy as Brad?s,? another source reveals.
But Angelina works hard to make sure people think she?s a wonderful mother, so when she knows that photographers are about, she will walk in front, holding her kids’ hands, and make the nannies walk in the back or “stay hidden.” Also, an “insider” claims that being a Jolie-Pitt nanny as “great pay, long hours and complete chaos.”
?She spends her life trying to prove that she can give her family everything she missed out on as a child,? an insider says.
[From Jezebel and Holly Baby]
Eh. If anything, I suspect that Angelina is the ?bad cop? parent and Brad is the softie, the one who doesn?t dole out punishment. Angelina seems like the enforcer, and she seems more organized about everything. Considering all of their traveling and crazy schedules, I?ve actually begun to suspect that Angelina is a little OCD to keep track of everything. So? yeah, I don?t think she?s some cold, distant, ice-queen mom. I think she?s just doing the best she can.

Yesterday, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made an appearance at the Sarajevo Film Festival, and we don?t have access to any of the photos! Boo. You can see some here and here, though. Angelina wore an oddly bright Elie Saab gown and Brad looked nice. Angelina was there because she was awarded the ?Honorary Heart of Sarajevo? Award for directing a film about the war, The Land of Blood and Honey, which will be out later this year. When Angelina?s leading lady, Zana Marjanovic, presented Angelina with the award, Angelina received wild, non-stop applause, and an insider says Angelina was nearly moved to tears. Angelina told reporters, ?I love this country. I was honored to have a chance to meet everybody. This movie was a chance to bring attention to the situation that happened so long ago, and I hope that it brings attention and more dialogue to remind people what everybody here went through.” Damn, I wish we had ANY photos from this film festival - Michael Fassbender was there a few days ago with a newly shaved head too. BOO on our photo agencies for not buying these photos.
Anyway, Angelina has a new interview in The Financial Times this weekend. You can only read the whole thing by subscription, which I?m not going to do, but various outlets had excerpts from the piece:
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have maintained a nomadic lifestyle with their six children over the years, but the kids have strong connections to their own cultures, Jolie reveals in a new interview. The actress, 36, who adopted three of her children ? Maddox, 9, from Cambodia; Pax, 7, from Vietnam; and Zahara, 6, from Ethiopia ? and gave birth to Shiloh, 5, in Namibia, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3, in France, makes sure her kids know where they came from.
“They are all learning about each other’s cultures as well as being proud of their own,” she tells the Financial Times. “So it’s not like just the boys get to do the Asian thing. They all have their flags over their beds and their individual pride.”
Of course, keeping up with their international visits is a challenge. “We owe Vietnam a visit, because Pax is due,” she says. “Z wants to get back to Africa, and Shiloh too. So everyone takes their turns in their country.”
Jolie also opened up about becoming a mom of six has changed her relationship with work.
“I’ve never not been grateful to be an actor,” she says. “But I think when I was younger I needed [acting] more. I was trying to question things in life so you find these characters that help you find things and grow.”
“It’s like being in therapy, in a way. You’re drawn to certain roles because they question something about life, or about love, or about freedom. You ask these questions as you grow up: am I strong enough, am I sane enough? Do I understand love, do I understand myself?” Now, she adds, “I’m older and I know who I am … and I’m less interested in the character helping me answer something … than in being able to answer it for myself, as a woman, as an adult, with my family.”
Talking about Salt, Jolie explains: “I’d just had the twins,” she recalls. “I’d been in a nightgown for a very, very long time. And I was sitting in the hospital breastfeeding and reading this script in my nightgown, feeling so soft and mama … and I was flipping these pages and it was all fighting and shooting guns. I thought, ‘That’s what I need. I need to get out of my nightgown and I need a gun.’ I’m sure many a woman who has been through childbirth has thought ‘It would be nice to get a little physical, get a little wild … to remember what that other side is like.’ ”
Jolie and her longtime love Brad Pitt have six children together — Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — and the family is famous for their nomadic lifestyle. “Home is wherever we are,” she says. But does she ever feel rootless? “Yes, but happily. I’m very bad at staying in one place. I’m also bad at sitting still? There’s so much to explore in the world? So I love travel. If you can travel I think it’s the best way to raise kids.”
Her directorial debut — In the Land of Blood and Honey — is a love story she also wrote, which is set in the Bosnian war. “I prefer [being behind the camera] to acting,” she admits. “I think I’ve learnt something from all of [the directors I've worked with] — even the ones I didn’t like? I also learned a lot from Clint Eastwood about how to appreciate the members of the crew, empowering them to do their job.”
But Jolie doesn’t plan to stay in the business forever. “As Brad and I get older we’re going to do fewer films. I’ve been working for a long time, he’s been working for a long time,” she says. “We’ve had a nice run and I don’t want to be doing this our whole lives. There are a lot of other things to do.”
She has been to Cambodia this year, to shoot an advertising campaign for Louis Vuitton with Annie Leibovitz. An impoverished country might seem like an odd place for a luxury fashion house to shoot an ad campaign but the final decision was made by Jolie herself. “To actually do it there, to highlight the beauty of the country, was something I was very happy to do because it is a place people should travel to,” she says. Indeed, she and Pitt have a house there?”it’s a little place on stilts”. Her fee from the campaign will go towards charitable projects in the country, she says, building on work she began with a foundation the family established in Maddox’s name. “It’s focused on protecting mountains from deforestation, poaching and clearing landmines. We put it together for Mad so when he’s older he’ll hopefully take it over.”
China is on her list of places still to explore, and she would love to see Burma, “but not in the wrong circumstances”, given that the country is under the control of an oppressive military junta. “And Iran. I’d love to go [to] Iran.” Her dream, however, is to “cross the Sahara. It takes 28 days … it would have to be on a camel. I wonder if I could do it in pieces and station the kids along the way,” she muses.

I understand that Angelina?s top priority is being a mom, and good for her. But I?m getting so friggin? tired of hearing her talk about how she?s going to be cutting back or phasing out working and all of that. She?s been saying it for years, and she needs to find a new topic of conversation for all of the interviews she does year after year to promote all of films she does year after year. I don?t begrudge her working, nor do I begrudge her the time she spends with her family. But I just get tired of her ringing the same ?I?m taking time off, I?m spending more time with my family? bell when she works about the same as always.
UPDATE: Ah, Slate has the full Financial Times article here. It?s a pretty good piece. The best part is her response when she?s asked about The News of the World, the tabloid which she and Brad sued after they reported that she and Brad were breaking up. ?I did hear something about that … clearly I never read it. So it’s hard to know how much of a loss it is.? Diplomatic.

Being honored with a special tribute, Angelina Jolie was joined by Brad Pitt at the closing ceremony of the 17th Sarajevo Film Festival on Saturday (July 30).
Held at the national theatre in downtown Sarajevo, the couple worked the red carpet before Miss Jolie was presented with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award.
Overwhelmed by the reception from the gathered crowd, the "Wanted" actress reportedly fought back tears upon getting a seemingly non-stop ovation after being introduced by actress Zana Marjanovic.
During her speech, Jolie graciously said, ?I?m so happy to be in this remarkable city in this beautiful country and I?ve spent the last year lucky enough to experience not just the warmth and the hospitality of the local people but also your extraordinary talent."
Continuing on about her experience shooting her directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey" in Bosnia, Angelina stated, "In my career, I have never worked with such disciplined and talented artists as I was able to this last year."

These are some new photos of Angelina Jolie going into ?The Toy Shop? in Richmond, England today. She brought Shiloh and Empress Z, and she caused a commotion. Can I just say something? I kind of love that Shiloh and the Empress are joined at the hip. More often than not, they are the pair that consistently gets taken out for treats and such. Brad takes out Maddox and Pax a lot, but I feel like Shiloh and Z get a lot of mom-time all together. It feels like Z and Shiloh are BFF-sisters. Shiloh will make a very loyal patron to the Court of the Empress. LOOK AT THE FACE:
*dies*
As you?ve probably seen on other blogs, Angelina has been taking the kids out a lot lately. You can see some photos here, at LaineyGossip. The Jolie-Pitts are in England (where Brad is completing World War Z), and Angelina has been doing fun mom stuff with the little ones. They?ve been to the Aquarium, they went to the movies, they went to McDonalds and?? I don?t know, they?ve been in and out of The Dorchester Hotel. Sounds like fun. Sidenote: Last night, I had a dream I was pregnant and Angelina wanted to adopt the baby. Weird, right? She kept saying, ?Your baby is going to be Indian, I don?t have an Indian baby.?
Also: I HATE Angelina?s wedges. Wedges are so ?Aniston?. Bitch needs to either wear flats or heels. As for the rest of Angelina?s outfit: LV bag (fine), great pencil skirt, and a too-neutral sweater. The ensemble makes me miss her all-black outfits.

Enjoying a relaxing day in London, Angelina Jolie was spotted at a local toy shop in the Richmond neighborhood this morning (July 26).
The ?Tomb Raider? babe was joined by her daughters Zahara and Shiloh as she made her exit and quickly hopped into a chauffeured car and sped off.
And it sounds like Ang may be getting an invitation to star in ?Sin City 2? from the film?s director Robert Rodriguez himself.
The iconic director, who mentioned casting Jolie in the past, told press, "I don't think we'll have trouble [getting stars to come] on board because people loved 'Sin City' and they love that world and they love a chance to play in that arena and so many actors especially love film noir, and it's such an updated modernized film noir that it doesn?t feel nostalgic. It feels new, so I think people will run to be a part of it."

Kicking off the week with some underwater adventures, Angelina Jolie was spotted at the London Aquarium this morning (July 25).
The ?Girl, Interrupted? actress was joined by her children Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne as she navigated the busy London streets while shutterbugs scurried for a few shots.
Jolie has been in charge of keeping the kiddos occupied while their papa Brad Pitt works on his current film project ?World War Z.?
Last week, Angelina treated her brood to a private screening of ?Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II.?

Heading into town with one of her adorable twins, Angelina Jolie and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt were busy doing a little flower shopping in London, England on Saturday (July 23).
Dressed head to toe in black, the "Salt" actress browsed the offerings at a Richmond florist's shop before both she and her darling daughter emerged with purchases in-hand.
Having been keeping a family-focused schedule since arriving in the UK a few days ago, Angelina took on the mighty task of escorting all six of her brood out at the same time - with the happy family hitting the Richmond Odeon theater for a private screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2".
Of the scene, a source told Us magazine that Miss Jolie "bought a lot of food" for the "Harry Potter" afternoon. The insider added, "All the kids had hot dogs, and they had popcorn and drinks. They looked like they had a great time!"

Taking some time off from her busy schedule, Angelina Jolie was spotted at a movie theater in London, England today (July 22).
Joined by her twins Knox and Vivienne, the ?Changeling? chick looked a bit wary of the nearby shutterbugs as she hopped into a waiting car and sped off.
During a recent visit to Cambodia, Ang told press her children developed a hankering for delicious crickets.
"My boys love to eat crickets. It?s their favorite thing. When I first gave it to them, I thought, I wanted them to understand culturally, I didn?t want them to be turned off by something that was their culture."
"They ate them like Doritos and they wouldn?t stop. They brought to-go boxes home and I had to actually ban the cricket eating at a certain point because I was afraid they?d get sick from too many."

After being on the west coast for only a week after visiting Brad Pitt at his current movie locale in Malta, the lovely ladies soon jetted off to their next destination.
During the trio?s girl time over the weekend, they were all spotted checking out the vintage clothes, accessories and costumes at Ozzie Dots in L.A.

| Brangelina's alleged 2004 affair revisited by Israeli spy & Hollywood producer | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

How many more times are we going to have to go back to 2004? How many times are we going to have to revisit the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith? What is this obsession? Is it because we still don?t really know what went down between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and when, and where, and how? I suspect that even if Brad and Angelina did a press conference today and said ?We boned for the first time on Blah Day, 2005? it would still be one of the biggest entertainment stories EVER. Anyway, Page Six has an ?excerpt? from a Hollywood producer?s memoir, even a cursory connection to Brangelina is still super-important:
An unauthorized book detailing a Hollywood producer’s former life as an Israeli secret agent says he witnessed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie fall for each other on the set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” while Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston.
According to “Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon Arnon Milchan,”by Joseph Gelman and Meir Doron, “Milchan introduced Pitt to Jolie and immediately sensed that there was a spark between them.”
Despite denials from Pitt and Jolie that their romance began before his split with Aniston, the book alleges, “A passionate romance ensued, with one slight problem . . . Pitt was married to [Aniston] . . . when Aniston kicked Pitt out of the house, all hell broke loose.”
Milchan is quoted, “When I heard that Brad left home . . . I offered that he stay at my house in Malibu. He drove to the set . . . on a motorcycle, and he wore a wrap-around helmet with a tinted visor so no one could recognize him.”
[From Page Six]
Specific dates or GTFO. What?s interesting, to me, is that the bigger story seems to be that this Milchan guy was laundering Israeli money through Hollywood for years and years and barely anyone noticed. Probably because everybody was still fighting over when exactly Brangelina started boning.
Memories…
