Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie at the Writer?s Guild Theater in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night. We had these photos yesterday, but I just didn?t get a chance to post them because of the giant clusterwhoops with the Sony hack story. It?s worth noting that this little black dress has a cape!! YAY! It?s like a casual cape, I think. A cape for every day. Anyway, more interviews and quotes from Angelina?s press machine. We?ll find out later today if Unbroken got any Golden Globe nominations! The way she?s hustling, I?ve got to think they nominate the film for something. Here?s Angelina talking about tattoos and her kids with the Radio Times:
Both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt boast a collection of tattoos, but the director of upcoming WWII film Unbroken has revealed her new husband is against their kids sharing their love of body art. Of the couple’s children ? Vivienne and Knox, both six, Shiloh, eight, and their adopted siblings Zahara, nine, Pax, 11, and Maddox, 13 ? the actress has already turned down her eldest’s request, but now Zahara is getting inquisitive, a prospect that is horrifying her father.
“They’re already asking me about tattoos,” Jolie tells Radio Times. “How do I say ‘No’? It’s especially hard for dads and girls. For some reason men get a little more sensitive when the daughter gets a tattoo. And Brad thinks the girls can do no wrong. He’s mush in their hands!”
The couple also have strong opinions on whether or not their brood will follow their famous parents into the acting profession. “We’ve always said, if they want to act, we won’t let them only act, because it’s not enough. They’ll have to find a real job at the same time. But I’m hoping that when they see all the other things in the world, they’ll be inspired to be writers, politicians, activists. They’re very individual people. So I imagine they’re not going to follow their mum and dad.”
Jolie and Pitt’s next project is By the Sea, a film penned and directed by the actress who will star opposite her real-life husband. It will mark the first time the pair have acted on screen together since 2005?s Mr and Mrs Smith, when, as Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston fell apart, they fell in love.
“It feels a little daunting,” says Jolie. “We haven’t worked together for ten years. But all of the reasons why people say we should be scared of it, we feel that’s exactly why we have to do this ? because we can. So we’re going to go boldly.”
Is Jolie anxious about the prospect of being Pitt’s boss on set? “He’s a pretty strong actor! It’s going to be interesting. He’s a really great artist, such an interesting artist, and of course he’s the man I love, so I think we’re going to have a great time.”

Angelina used to let Maddox have temporary tattoos, so that?s not a surprise to me that the kids are interested in tatts. I wonder which of the girls wants some ink? Shiloh, probably.
Also, in Angelina?s People Mag interview this week, she talks about her lack of technological awareness, and how she and Brad had to hire someone to do all of the online monitoring of the kids:
Jolie calls herself “old-school” (she doesn’t use social media), although she understands that her kids are growing up in a more technologically advanced era than she did. As such, she’s made using the internet as safe as possible. “For the kids, we have someone who monitors that,” she explained. “It’s so beyond what we understand. We wouldn’t even know what to look for. It’s a scary new world. I can only imagine the trouble I would’ve gotten into. I got in enough trouble. It just would have been very documented.”

Yes, she would have gotten into SO much trouble if she had come up in the digital age and been more social media-savvy. She would have been posting kissy-selfies with Jenny Shimizu and she would have posted photos of a knife on a bed with the message ?#DateNight?. It would have been a glorious mess.

Fans are eager to see her latest film ?Unbroken? when it hits theaters on Christmas Day, and Angelina Jolie is still thinking through whether all of her kids are ready for a viewing.
The ?Gone in 60 Seconds? starlet told E! News, "It's PG-13. My boys?one is 13, one is 11 but he's a mature 11?will see it, but I think I might actually show my younger children."
As for the younger ones, "I think they could handle it because they understand film. They know the difference of what is real and what isn't, because it's heavy for [kids] under 13. But they all knew Louis [Zamperini]. They want to see it because it's Louis."
Previously, Angelina gushed over her relationship with Zamparini- "He was like a father and grandfather to me. I hope [the movie] gave him peace to know that he could pass away knowing that his message was strong, knowing that his life was long and full."
As for her toughest critic, Jolie declared, "My Maddox, the oldest. It's his job. He's a teenager."

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie at the Director?s Guild in NYC on Friday evening, which is where she screened Unbroken. I keep forgetting that Angelina isn?t just interested in an Oscar nomination for Best Director ? she?s probably interested in a DGA nomination too. Anyway, the photo agencies are making a big deal about how much time she spent mingling with her fans. She did the same thing outside The Daily Show Thursday night ? she even took a few minutes to comfort a Brangeloonie having a panic attack!
In these pics, Angelina spent time on the rope line, taking selfies with fans and posing with ?Radio Man,? the famous homeless man who does appearances in film and TV (he?s always on The Late Show, isn?t he?). You know what the selfies reminded me of? The famous ?Oscar selfie? from earlier this year, where Angelina actually WAVED to the camera, because she doesn?t get the whole selfie thing. Well, she?s a quick learner, isn?t she? As for her outfit here ? I?m sure she chose the coat because it?s a sack in coat-form, and she has consistently excellent taste in boots.
Meanwhile, Angelina?s Unbroken men did a Q&A with HuffPo ? you can see the video here. The most interesting reveal is that Miyavi said that Angelina was ?not eating much? during the production. He said: ?It was surprising how much she trusted me, all of us, on the set. She was so determined. I was also surprised how skinny she got. You know, she was not eating much. I felt so bad I was the only one who got fat during filming.? Oh no, Miyavi! The first rule of Brangelunacy is that one must never discuss Angie?s weight!! But it does sound like all of the guys are pretty much in love with her.

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie out and about yesterday in NYC. The photos of Angelina in the grey prairie skirt & jacket (with Garrett Hedlund) are from the day, when they did a luncheon at MoMA. The photos of Jolie in a black sack-coat are from the evening screen of Unbroken at MoMA. I don?t know if it?s Angelina?s makeup, but lately she?s been looking really exhausted. It?s not that she looks ?bad? or that she?s suddenly become unphotogenic or anything. She just looks like she needs to sleep for a week. It?s also possible that she?s sore from that car accident earlier this week.
Anyway, this is the first week where critics are finally getting to see Unbroken and publish their reviews. So far, the reaction has been? good. Solidly appreciative, at times very positive. Vulture had a great write-up about what Unbroken does for the Oscar field ? Vulture says that Unbroken will likely get a Best Picture nomination, but it will be a steeper climb for Angelina to get a Best Director nomination, much less a win. Vulture also says that Miyavi will probably end up with a Supporting Actor nomination because he?s already charming everyone on the campaign circuit. Interestingly enough, Vulture says that Unbroken will probably get an editing nomination. Which should be interesting, because the studio likely recut it without Angelina?s input. I think Unbroken is going to be a contender (the NBR thinks so too), but I agree, some of the categories are going to be harder to break into than others.
Last thing… Aussie actor Jai Courtney has a supporting part in the film, and he was being interviewed on Kiis FM?s Kyle & Jackie O show. They asked him about working with Angelina as a director, and he said: ?She just has this command.? He told a story about Angelina walking onto the hot, baking set with 300 extras and ?Everyone was getting very restless and she just walked out to have a chat to everyone and it was like… they’d never seen two hundred men shut up and stand still.?

Showing some love to her German fans, Angelina Jolie arrived at a photocall for her new film ?Unbroken? in the capital city of Berlin on Thursday (November 27).
The ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? actress looked sleek in a black turtleneck with black trousers as she posed alongside Jack O?Connell and Miyavi while spectators and press looked on.
During her recent interview on the ?Today? show, Angelina confessed that she was a little nervous starring opposite her husband Brad Pitt in their forthcoming movie ?By The Sea.?
She explained, "We did a drama about a bad marriage. 'A lot of friends of ours thought is was a really ... they didn't say a bad idea ... but they asked us a few times if we were sure we wanted to do it."
?It [was] uncomfortable but we've already shot it, we've survived it and we're stronger for it. It was very tough material, so for any actors it was heavy dramatic emotional work."

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie in Germany on the 27th, which was Thanksgiving in America but just a regular Thursday in Germany, I suppose. I don?t know where Brad and the kids were for this year?s Thanksgiving, nor do I know why Angelina couldn?t have figured out a better time to schedule the European leg of her Unbroken promotional tour. The London premiere of Unbroken was Tuesday night, then Wednesday she was doing press in Paris, and then on Thanksgiving she was in Germany? And Unbroken doesn?t come out until Christmas ? she literally has a while month to left to promote the film.
Anyway? she was in Germany. With Jack O?Connell and Miyavi. Jack?s style is nothing to write home about, especially for an English guy. I don?t know about you, but I hold British men to a different standard! They usually know how to dress and they appreciate great tailoring and an awesome suit. But not Jack ? his style is pretty blah and basic. Miyavi on the other hand looks AMAZING. You can tell that he loves clothes. He outshines Jack and Angelina. That being said, I do like Angie?s black t-neck and slacks. Very Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face.
Oh, and as for Miyavi ? he?s married! But that hasn?t stopped the tabloids from trying to make something out of Angelina and Miyavi?s seeming friendship. To be fair, she seems to have gotten very close to both Jack and Miyavi. Miyavi makes her laugh and Jack is the bad boy with the heart of gold. Who will she choose?! No, the Enquirer says that Brad Pitt is totally jealous of Angelina?s flirtatious relationship with Miyavi and Brad is pissed that Miyavi has moved to LA? with his wife and two children. I wonder if Brad stormed out of the room in tears?
Meanwhile, Star Magazine says that Angelina is the jealous one and that she doesn?t appreciate Brad?s friendship with their By the Sea costar Melanie Laurent. Hm. So, when Brad and Angie were fighting on that Sydney hotel balcony, was it about Melanie or Miyavi?

Showing some love to her English fans, Angelina Jolie showed up at the Odeon Leicester Square for the UK premiere of ?Unbroken.?
Joined by star Jack O?Connell, the ?In the Land of Blood and Honey? filmmaker was in good spirits as she posed for photos and chatted with her loyal followers.
Angelina told Entertainment Weekly that last Christmas she was a mess because she was waiting for a call from Universal to find out if she got the ?Unbroken? directing gig.
?I started wrapping everything ? even little things that went in the stocking. I couldn't just sit there and wait for the phone. So I was like, 'I'll wrap this whistle! I'll wrap this candy cane!'"
