Putting her signature Converse sneakers to good use, Kristen Stewart was spotted running into the lobby of the Majestic Hotel in Cannes, France this evening (May 22).
The ?Twilight? star arrived at the hotel from the Nice airport wearing a revealing black tank top with a pair of skinny jeans as she tried to avoid the awaiting swarms of photographers.
In career news, the 22-year-old actress has been busy traveling the world promoting her newest film ?Snow White and the Huntsman,? which also stars Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth.
In a recent interview with the New York Post, she spoke about the premieres adding, ?We're doing Cannes, and then there's the screening in New York on May 29 and the opening June 1. That means gowns. I hate gowns so much. Just wear them once and give them back. After the opening, I go home.?

These are some new photos of Kristen Stewart at LAX yesterday. We had a nice story about Kristen yesterday too – I really liked the way she talked about her cat ?roommate? and her co-parenting relationship with her ?child? – a mutt named Bear that she and Robert Pattinson (mostly him) adopted in Louisiana. K-Stew is cute when she talks about animals, and I had the realization that she?s probably more of an animal person than a people-person, which makes me like her a little bit more. But I?ve also come to this conclusion: Kristen is so much more likeable in small doses. When she does a major magazine or newspaper interview, her personality starts to grate – at least on me. Kristen has a new interview with The Guardian, which? is not very good. It’s not bad, it’s just a whole lot of Kristen. The Guardian?s intensive interviews are notoriously difficult, so I wonder what idiot publicist let Kristen speak to this outlet. The full piece is here, and here are some highlights:
How Kristen decided to become an actor: Her parents were crew members, and she had spent time on film sets where there was a feeling that: “we were all in this together, and we were making something worthwhile”. She takes one of many deep, meaningful breaths. “And then I would see a kid walk around and people would be like: ‘Shhh, that’s the actor, don’t talk to him.’ And I was like, I want a job, I want you guys to talk to me like I matter!”
Feeling trapped in hotel rooms: “I mean, if I walked out of this hotel” ? Claridge’s ? “obviously I’d be screwed. But in London, I am perfectly fine, unless I have a trail of parasites behind me.? The paparazzi are at the hotel entrance when I leave. “But I’m good at evading those little twits. Once I lose them, once no one’s trying to make a buck off you, you know, I’m fine ? I know at this point that there’s a buck to be made, which is weird considering I’m just walking down the street with dirty hair.”
The original Disney Snow White: “In the original she totally represents what a woman wanted to be back then: the ultimate maternal figure. She cleans house really well. It’s just that [women] do more than that now.” Instead they created a “bad-ass, girl power movie”, she says, in which the character’s strength is represented in a realistic way. “We’re not built to take out big guys in armour. So it was really more about being faster and smarter.”
On beauty: She starts talking about how beauty is ruined “if you’re not cool as well. If you don’t have the heart to back up your looks, you are ugly. I’ve met so many people that I thought were so gorgeous and talented and amazing. And then you meet them for one second and you’re like,” she heaves another breath, and spits out emphatically, “‘you are wearing a costume, you are a fake, you are so unattractive’. And it doesn’t always come across in a picture, but you can be really beautiful in a still frame, and then, in life, moving around, you’re ugly. And that’s kind of what the movie’s about.”
Comparing Twilight and SWATH: There’s a big similarity between Snow White and Twilight, she says, in that, “there’s a stage of life represented in both movies that is so impassioned, and it doesn’t know why yet. Do you know what I mean? That was what I really liked about Bella. The fact that she trusted that at some point these feelings are going to make sense, and that she’s not going to let everyone tell her she’s f–king crazy. Also, it was just so,” she takes a big breath, “it was so intense,” she laughs.
She?s intense too: “Yeah, I’m still a very intense person.” She’s 22 now. “I’m chilled out about some things. I’m cool. But definitely, I take things far too seriously … I am just a serious person. I love joking around, and it’s obviously about mood, because sometimes I can definitely be a silly idiot. But most of the time I am like this.” She makes a sound as if her mouth has been suctioned shut. Quite private? “Yeah,” she says. “And I’m overtly aware of f–king everything. I’m always like,” she mimes picking things out of the air, “details, little things. Just obsessive, analytical.”
On Twilight and whether Bella is weak: “I always just very honestly said that that’s not why I did the movie, and it’s not why the book was written,” she says, adding that she finds it frustrating when people read the characters differently to her. “Mostly in this idea that Bella is a weak girl who is just obsessed with these two boys, and doesn’t really think beyond her own needs, and is selfish. And she is, completely, but that’s like the way to live, man! You’ve got to follow your heart. That is actually a really bold way to live, not making concessions, or giving things up … I don’t know why people ignore the sacrifices that Edward makes. I don’t know why the power thing has been viewed the way it’s been viewed, because I just view it so differently.”
Seriously, she always goes off script: “I think in order to do [On the Road] right, in order to make everyone happy ? because there’s a lot of people sitting around going: ‘OK, let’s have it’ ? it had to be spontaneous, it had to have that feeling of never quite knowing where someone’s going to jump or scream,” she says. “So sometimes it was a truer reading of the line to just forget it, and say it your own way.”
On being a commodity: “When you make moving pictures, it’s so easy to become disingenuous,” she says. “It’s so easy to just become a commodity, and I think that’s so embarrassing.” And with that, she finishes her milk.
[From The Guardian]
The Guardian also notes how twitchy Kristen is, and how she?s not the most eloquent young woman, but they also say that it seems like Kristen tries very, very hard to come across as genuine and honest, and that quality is endearing. Still, I have to think The Guardian would have been better off interviewing Charlize Theron or Chris Hemsworth. Poor Kristen – some of this stuff isn?t her fault. She gets bad advice from publicists.

She?s no stranger to a travel-intensive schedule, and Kristen Stewart was spotted catching a flight at LAX International Airport yesterday (May 21).
The ?Adventureland? babe was a bit annoyed with the surrounding shutterbugs as she headed into the terminal, dressed all in black, and prepared for the long flight to Cannes, France.
Tomorrow, Kristen is scheduled to attend the premiere of her new flick ?On The Road? as part of the 65th Cannes Film Festival.
Based on the book by Jack Kerouac, ?On The Road? also stars Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, and Garrett Hedlund.

| Kristen Stewart talks about her 'roommate' (cat Max) & her 'child' (puppy Bear) | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I always forget that Kristen Stewart is an animal person. That one trait makes me like her. I?m guessing that – like me – she tends to prefer animals to people. Which makes me a Twihard, right? I can feel it coming into my bloodstream?OMG LEAVE KRISTEN ALONE!!! There, that felt better. Anyway, Kristen has been roommates with a tomcat for years and years – his name is Max. And I?m specifically not saying that Kristen OWNS Max, because Kristen describes him as her ?roommate? in a new interview with Teen Vogue. She also talks about the puppy that Robert Pattinson adopted last year – a little mutt they named Bear. She?s really cute here:
Kristen Stewart knows the truth about cats and dogs. The Snow White and the Huntsman star has an 8-year-old cat named Max, and helps care for Bear, the dog that Robert Pattison rescued from a shelter in Louisiana.
During an interview with Teen.com, she was asked, “Animals love Snow White … Who loves you more, Max or Bear?”
“They both love me in very different ways,” she said. “Bear is literally a child. He’s like my ? he’s still a baby. Max is like, [makes an unpleasant face]. I mean, we live together. He’s like my roommate.”
Max may feel like he’s just sharing a living space with his owner, but the feeling isn’t mutual.
“We have a really strong, really weird codependent, almost Bella/Edward relationship,” she told PEOPLE in 2010. “I’m going to be a crazy cat lady one day, I’m sure.”
[From People]
Kristen almost called Bear HER baby. Which is cute for several different reasons – considering how much Robert has been traveling lately, I suspect that Bear has probably been staying with Kristen, right? She is the dog-mother – there?s no shame in it. Acknowledge that Bear is your fur-baby, Kristen! It?s also funny on another level because she seems to think that Bear will somehow ?outgrow? that whole ?child? thing. My dog is like eight years old and he still acts like a puppy, and I still feel like he?s my little fur-baby. My little 100-pound monster fur-baby.
Also: I bet Max has had words with Bear, don?t you? And by ?words? I mean Max smacked the sh-t out of Bear.
Here are some photos of Kristen and her fur-baby Bear last year. Don?t judge her for tugging on his collar – it happens to me all the time.

| Kristen Stewart Takes "Snow White" South of the Border! | Added 12 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

Spending the weekend south-of-the-border, Kristen Stewart was in promotional mode in Mexico City on Saturday (May 19).
The 22-year-old actress was joined by co-star Sam Claflin as the pair tended to a press conference at the St Regis Hotel for their upcoming film "Snow White and the Huntsman".
Set to hit theaters on June 1st, the fairy tale twist finds "the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) ordered to take Snow White (Stewart) into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron)."
The visit to Mexico comers just after Kristen took time to chat with The Insider about how she's maintained a level head after skyrocketing to super-stardom thanks to her role as Bella Swan in the "Twilight" mega-popular franchise.
"These types of situations (referring to the interview) are really the only times that you have to deal with it and it feels really fitting and appropriate and it makes sense," Stewart dished of her fame. "It only gets weird when it enters this strange world of suddenly you're interesting beyond your job, and some people buy in to that and think, 'Alright! Cash in! I'm like totally gonna sell myself,' and I don't think they're even aware of what they're doing."

| Kristen Stewart in a BCBG minidress in Madrid: boring or awesome? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

New photos of Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron! Somehow, they managed to only do a photo call in Berlin yesterday, and they didn?t have a premiere?? I can?t find the photos if there was a Berlin premiere. So they?re on to their next stop: Madrid! These are the pics from the Madrid photo call. Charlize is wearing this red Giambattista Valli which? I?m not sure about. It?s a great color on her, for sure. And I like the idea of it. But the execution, with the puffy shoulder embellishments – it?s kind of rough on her tall, broad figure. It makes her look top-heavy and football-player-ish. Kristen?s dress is BCBG Max Azaria. It?s cute? eh. I would like it better without the leather faux-suspenders. Beyond that, it?s a silhouette that Kristen goes to all too often – the sleeveless, half-shift minidress. Accessorized by bad posture. It?s just kind of meh.
Incidentally, while promoting SWATH, Kristen was asked by Celebuzz about all of those casting rumors regarding 50 Shades of Grey. As you know, 50 Shades was based on Twilight fan-fiction, and the book is completely AWFUL. But, as I said, it was written with Kristen and Sparkles in mind. So what does Kristen think about it?
Kristen says: ?I haven?t read the book yet? so I don?t know?I’m dying to make another movie with Rob, I think that we’re a good team? I just haven’t read it, so I don’t know what it is, but I would love to work with him again.” Sure. Fine. If Kristen and Sparkles get wrangled into this mess, that would be fine with me. Just keep g–damn Michael Fassbender OUT OF IT.

| Kristen Stewart spent time with her 'f?king boyfriend' & his family in the UK | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kristen Stewart was in London for a few days to promote Snow White & The Huntsman, and then yesterday she flew to Germany. I was expecting to come in this morning to fresh Berlin premiere photos, but that didn?t happen. Maybe the Berlin premiere is tonight? I don?t know. I?m sure the Twihards will come in and tell me the schedule momentarily. While I?ve got the Twihards? attention, does anyone know if SWATH also has a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival? I know Kristen is scheduled to appear on behalf of On the Road, but it seems like SWATH would also get a (non-competition) premiere at Cannes as well.
Anyway, I just thought I?d share this story – after the UK premiere of SWATH two nights ago (in which Kristen wore that Marchesa monstrosity), Kristen and her ?f–king boyfriend? Robert Pattinson were all kinds of loved up at the post-premiere party. Aw, cute.
A fairytale romance fit for a fairytale premiere! Kristen Stewart didn’t have to attend the London premiere Monday of her new film Snow White and the Huntsman alone. Her Twilight costar and real-life boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, secretly attended the premiere in his hometown at Empire Cinema London.
“Rob was Kristen’s date,” a source tells Us Weekly. Stewart, who plays Snow White, presented the film with the cast on stage while Pattinson watched from the audience.
“Rob was cheering and clapping for Kristen as they walked off stage,” the source adds. “He looked proud of his girlfriend.”
After the premiere, the cast attended Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka’s official after party at the Royal Courts of Justice. Stewart, 22, changed out of her black lace Marchesa gown into a leather jacket and jeans. Pattinson, who celebrated his 26th birthday Sunday, also dressed casually in his trademark baseball cap.
“Rob met Kristen there,” a partygoer tells Us. “They stayed together in the VIP area all night and looked really cozy. They made sure no one saw them or photographed them.”
But they weren’t alone! Pattinson also brought his family to the party to support his Snow White.
[From Us Weekly]
Is this how a studio-promoted couple eases their way into being an actual couple? I actually don?t think this is a studio romance at this point. I had some doubts a few years ago, but it feels more and more like the real deal. Kristen and Robert are really dating. She?s down with his family, he?s down with her family. He even brings his family to a party to support Kristen. It really is very cute. Rob?s going to be in Cannes too – and while the Twihards have high hopes that they?re walk each other?s red carpets together, I doubt it will happen. Still, I bet they party together every night.
These are some pics of Kristen in London, going into a BBC interview. I don?t get why the ?side-knotted? t-shirt is her new trend. She?s been doing that for months, trying to make that look ?happen?. It?s not happening. Also, those skinny jeans look poured on, they?re so incredibly tight. How is this outfit comfortable?

Thanks to this picture of Kristen Stewart, you now know what Regan MacNeil would have looked like as an adult if Father Damien and the power of Christ hadn’t compelled her. That squat probably means she’s either about to piss the red carpet or violate herself with a crucifix again.

| Kristen Stewart covers Elle, refers to Robert Pattinson as 'my f?king boyfriend' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kristen Stewart is the cover girl for the June issue of American Elle – she was also the cover girl for the June issue of Elle UK too, for what it?s worth. There are two distinctly different photo shoots and interviews, so just pretend for a second that Team K-Stew hasn?t completely taken over Elle and all of the international editions of the publication. The photo shoot seems very Victor/Victoria – Kristen is doing some menswear/drag-king-inspired looks, and then she goes sort of gothy-glam for other shots. I?m reminded of how beautiful she is, and how she has the figure to be an excellent ?clothes hanger? for designers. Unfortunately, Kristen often seems kind of dead-eyed in pictorials, and her posture is still atrocious. As for the new Elle interview, well? God bless the Twihards. They?ve already transcribed the whole thing from the early scans – you can read the full piece here. Here are some highlights? the whole thing takes place in a bookstore (just an FYI for why the conversation is so book-intensive):
She loves William Styron?s Lie Down in Darkness: ?Have you ever read Lie Down in Darkness?? Stewart asks excitedly. ?I want to play Peyton more than anything I can possibly taste or touch in my life. I want to play her so bad. Peyton is bright, beautiful, suicidal narcissist, preyed upon by her father. But Stewart, 22, sees it as more complicated than that. ?Oh, dude, she f–kin? loves it! She?s in love with him. I mean, I think she?s in love with him. It?s not his fault. They?re the most f–ked-up family!? There?s a script adaptation I?ve read and it?s good,? she says, continuing down the aisle. ?Two people vying for the part of the father are Daniel Day-Lewis and Colin Firth. Daniel would be perfect.? Stewart stops suddenly and smiles, picking up an autobiography. ?Let?s not be pretentious ? let?s buy Snooki.? (She doesn?t.)
She calls Robert Pattinson her ?f–king boyfriend?: ?Oooh, Martin Amis.? Stewart plucks Money from the shelf. ?My copy just got soaked ? my toilet overflowed.? And then, ?Oh my God, my f–king boyfriend just did this movie,? she says, referring to Robert Pattinson while pulling down a copy of Bel Ami. ?The French, they?re up in arms that he did it.?
The brown contact lenses she wears to play Bella: ?It?s like I always have sunglasses on ? soulless, googly-eyed sunglasses. You can?t feel your eyeballs. They ruined me.?
Working with William Hurt in 2008?s The Yellow Hankerchief: ?He was the first guy I ever saw take a script and f–king turn it on its head. He threw us all up into the air,? Stewart says fondly. ?It was so cool working with him. He is so beat ? he?s like, On the Road. Incredibly intense. Dude!?
The book Black Hole: ?This f–king store is like kismet!? she says. ?I want to do this movie!? The book, about a sexually transmitted plague, ?is disgusting, so gross,? Stewart enthuses. ?I love the first image? ? she turns to a completely black page with a white vagina-shape opening in the center ? ?a slit. You just grow, like, holes in your body. The imagery is so weird. See? ? she flips to another page ? ?he?s looking at her hand and soon there?s gonna be a little mouth in there. It?s so sexual the desire is so f–king palpable, but it feels so dirty, like [the characters] are so ashamed because they?re diseased, they?re literally getting these holes.?
Riding horses and leading the charge in Snow White and the Huntsman: Despite being terrified of horses, Stewart saddled up to lead an army of 250 mounted men charging down a beach in the rain. ?I hated it,? she admits of riding. ?I didn?t take to the whole mentality of f–king ordering that thing around ? ?Go now!? You have to be an a–hole, basically. Not to say that horse people are a–holes to their horses. But you have to basically tell that thing who?s boss, and I didn?t want to do that. I was like, ?No, do your thing. I don?t even want to be up here.??
Child-acting and home-schooling: One role begot the next, and from seventh grade on Stewart was homeschooled, something she regrets, in a way. ?Because I didn?t go to f–king school, I feel I would have had a bit something extra if I had,? she says. ?Maybe because my life is so perfect, when I see the other side of life, it just seems like, almost like I want?? Stewart struggles for words. ?You can learn so much from bad things. I feel boring. I feel like, Why is everything so easy for me? I can?t wait for something crazy to f–king happen to me. Just life. I want someone to f–k me over! Do you know what I mean?? That which doesn?t kill you makes you stronger? ?Exactly. It?s one of the reasons I want to act. I love living in different worlds, because a lot of times mine is pretty nice and easy.?
She still smokes, and her car is gross: She unlocks a nondescript rental car (she can?t drive her Mini Cooper without being followed by paparazzi), drops the books in back, slides into the driver?s seat, starts the engine and offers up a Camel. Pushing the cigarette-lighter button, she says, laughing, ?I went for the high-class rental. This car?s got all the fixin?s!? Scattered on the passenger side floor are a pair of plaid Van sneakers, an empty protein drink, a Coca-Cola can, and a plastic to-go container with a half eaten sandwich covered in mold. A nearly empty Snapple sits in the cup holder, cigarette buds floating in it.
She wears a mysterious ring: Stewart taps her hands on the steering wheel, her short nails lacquered in bloodred. On her thumb is a silver spoon ring. ?All four of my brothers and my mom and dad have these,? she says. ?My mom went and got them for Christmas.? And the gold ring circling her index finger? ?Everyone wants to know,? Stewart says slyly. She shakes her head. ?Everyone knows already ? it?s ridiculous.? As painful as it is to be so publicly pushed and prodded, how does she square wanting to be projected on a 40-foot screen? ?Laurence Olivier was asked, ?Actors, what?s the impulse? Why?? And he was just like, ?Look at me, look at me, look at me, ?? That was his answer. But at the same time, it?s like, ?Nooo, don?t look at me. Look at some version that I?m going to present to you. Let me control it.?
[Elle excerpts via Strictly Robsten?s transcript]
The cursing is getting kind of ridiculous. She wasn?t always this foul-mouthed, it?s something that?s happened over the past year, where every interview is laden with f-bombs. The article also quotes extensively from people who have worked with Kristen over the years, and an settling theme arises, although I don?t know if that was Elle?s intention. While Kristen?s directors and costars all had nice things to say about her, there seems to be a theme of Kristen not having much respect for the script of whatever film she?s doing. Everyone says that she constantly going off script, constantly changing lines, constantly trying to make the characters sound more ?authentic?. Which? maybe that only bothers me. I understand going off script when it?s something like Twilight, but it really feels like Kristen never bothers to learn her lines for any given film.
As for the mysterious ring thing – I anxiously await the Twihards? explanation. Did her ?f–king boyfriend? Rob give her the gold ring? Is it a promise ring? A wedding ring?!?!

The photo above is of Kristen Stewart arriving in Paris, probably to start promotion on Snow White and the Huntsman. Charlize Theron was coming into Paris in those photos yesterday, which makes me think Paris is going to be ground zero for all things SWATH this week. Maybe there will be a big Paris premiere? Hopefully. At the end of the post, I?m also including photos of Kristen at the Met Gala and just before the Met Gala, in NYC. Kristen?s Met Gala look was one of the most talked-about fashion moments of the night? which I think is kind of undeserved. I didn?t care for her Balenciaga dress that much, but she was far from the worst, I think. Plus, I?m really loving her hair these days. She?s lightened it a bit, and she?s letting her natural curl come out. It looks awesome.
Anyway, getting back to SWATH. MTV has been promoting the crap out of this film, and they?ve gotten a lot of the early exclusives. I enjoyed this interview they had with the cast of SWATH:
