Kaiser covered some earlier photos from the New Year’s Eve premiere, that ensemble romcom out this Friday looks like a pale imitation of Love Actually. Also at last night’s premiere we had unlikely romcom queen Katherine Heigl, almost working it in a strapless black lace Dolce & Gabbana LBD. The dress is hot, but she nearly ruins it with her accessories and hair. I know her hair is short and there’s not a lot she can do with it, but that wavy style is just so Rose from Golden Girls. Plus she’s paired that sexy dress with some dippy gold peep toe shoes with glittery bows on them, a gold sequin clutch, and a busy gold and diamond necklace. It’s too much together, but she looks happy here at least. Check her out laying a kiss on her husband.
Michelle Pfeiffer was stunning in lovely purple Dolce & Gabbana paired with towering suede heels and a clutch. I love this dress on her, but it could do without the matchy shoes. Look at her try to stand up straight in those platforms. Can you believe she’s 53? She’s obviously had a lot done, but it’s settled somewhat and she’s looking good. This is how you do hair and makeup.
Abigail Breslin was a ballerina fairy in this goofy poofy v-neck dress with a visible petticoat. She’s 15, she’s still finding her fashion legs. I’ll say something nice: her hair and makeup are so pretty here. I usually don’t like blue eye shadow on blue eyes, but it works on her.
Alyssa Milano wore this unflattering black dress paired with these very fug shoes. She just had a baby in August, so she gets a pass. It took me about a year to figure out how to dress after I had my kid. I like her a lot and am glad that she’s in this film, as crappy as it seems. IMDB has her listed as “Nurse Mindy.” And I just found out that DeNiro is in this mess. He didn’t show for the premiere though.

Katherine Heigl covers the January issue of Elle Magazine, and I had to laugh at the cover line that Elle chose: ?They wanted me to be America?s Sweetheart? and then I opened my mouth.? Yep. That about sums it up. She went from being the Next Big Rom-Com Actress to being ?that ungrateful diva who bitches and moans about everyone and everything.? Do Hollywood types even want to work with her anymore? Well, she?s in New Year?s Eve, obviously, and she?s got the Stephanie Plum movie coming out. I think Hollywood is waiting to see if Heigl can deliver again in a starring role in One For the Money. Anyhoodle, here are some highlights from the print interview:
On chemical happiness: ?I take a stress relief formula from Whole Foods. I call them my happy pills. Yeah, it helps me. In fact, I should?ve taken one today. I?ve done it to myself. I?ve created a chaotic life, and then I get on edge because of it? maybe I should take Xanax. My mother is so against pharaceuticals. Because of her wariness, it?s left wariness in me. Because, seriously, I have friends who?ll be like, ?Oh, you have a Vicodin? Can I pop one?? And I?m like, ?What? You can?t just pop stuff like that! You need to talk to your doctor. What are you thinking???
Seth Rogen on Heigl: ?I gotta say, it?s not like we?re the only people she said some bat-sh-t crazy things about. That?s kind of her bag now.?
The aftermath of Heigl?s bitching and moaning: Her longtime publicist told her to start thinking about interviews as other acting roles. A speechwriter was brought in to craft answers to questions she might be asked. She did chipper interviews, the aftermath of which was, she says, ?months and months of self-hatred? I was trying to stop the snowball from gaining speed.?
Wanting to be liked again: ?I think it?s a female thing. I?m just that a–hole who really wants everyone to like me and it?s a ridiculous goal and it?s an impossible goal. But I think if keep pushing forward and showing myself through and through, they will see me again for what I really am and not what has been sort of spun about me.?
Heigl?s publicist fired her: ?I?ve never really been America?s sweetheart, but for a minute I think that?s what they wanted me to be. And I had ?em for a second thinking maybe I was. And then I opened my mouth and it was clear I wasn?t. There?s so much of my mother?s caustic, sarcastic, irreverent take on things. But I also love and embrace it.? She?s still not sorry for anything she said – it?s her truth – but she is sorry she made the mistake of saying it aloud. ?I look at some of what I had to say, and I?m like, Oh my God, I would tell myself to shut up too.?
On her electronic cigarettes: ?I love it. I know I?m supposed to say I hate it, but I love it.?

There?s more in there from Heigl?s BFF, her momager, and how Heigl is the woman today because of Nancy?s influence, for better or for worse. I have to admit, this interview cracked me up. I tend to think Heigl is really and truly a massive bitch, and I say that in both the best and worst ways. She speaks her mind, she?s a diva, she?s nasty to coworkers, she?s unprofessional, she knows her own mind and she has her own opinions. She?s a mixed bag of extremes, and it?s amusing to see Heigl struggle with self-awareness about just what kind of woman she is. I think this quote sums it up beautifully: ?I?m just that a–hole who really wants everyone to like me.? Perfect.

Showing up for her part in the debut of Garry Marshall's "Valentine's Day" followup, Katherine Heigl was on-hand for the premiere of "New Year's Eve" in Hollywood tonight (December 5).
Lighting up the Grauman's Chinese Theatre venue, the "27 Dresses" darling warmly greeted fans lining the red carpet as she signed autographs and posed for pictures along with her gaggle of castmates.
Aside from "New Year's Eve," Miss Heigl has just been announced as being attached to star as a forensic psychiatrist in a new movie called "Kill Switch".
The film is an movie adaptation of the psychological thriller by Neal Baer and Jonathan Greene - with the book about psychiatrist Claire Waters due out next week.
As for "New Year's Eve," the picture boasts a star-laden cast including Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher and many others while set to hit theaters this Friday (December 9).

In the past year or so, Katherine Heigl has taken a bit of a breather from the movie-churning machine and isn’t so “in our faces” at every moment. Sure, she’s preparing to ruin any and all of that good will next year with a terrible Stephanie Plum movie, but Heigl has been fairly lowkey other than that. Her only film this year is the upcoming New Year’s Eve, where she will likely be lost in an ensemble of horrific romcom clichd proportions. I assume that this is the project that Heigl is seeking to promote with this mostly unfunny FunnyOrDie animal rights PSA, which features the acerbic actress taking a pro-neutering stance and then admitting that, ultimately, she really just hates balls:

She’s trying too hard, right? I appreciate that Heigl is willing to poke fun at her own extra-bitchy reputation, but just like most FunnyOrDie videos, the concept is dragged out in overdone capacity. However, it is mildly amusing that Heigl’s husband, Josh Kelley is a good enough sport to pop in at the end and ask his wife for his testicles for a boy’s night out. Presumably, the guy is very aware of his reputation as a third wheel to diva Katherine and her mother. It probably also doesn’t help matters that Josh is quite often photographed pushing a grocery cart around either. He must really love the hell out of grocery shopping:

Say what you will about Katherine Heigl (annoying, pretentious, bitch, annoying pretentious bitch) but she sure knows how to dress. Wait, let me amend that. Katherine Heigl sure knows how to dress at the AMAs. Here she is in a capital V neck dress at last nights awards show.
Is there an AMA rule book that says celebrities need to show X amount of cleavage in order to gain entrance? Because if there isn’t, there should be. I think that’d be really sweet.

Stepping out for some candy-laden fun, Katherine Heigl was spotted strolling around Los Angeles yesterday (October 30).
The ?Grey?s Anatomy? babe joined her adorable daughter Naleigh and husband Josh Kelley as the trio headed off to a Halloween party at a nearby neighborhood house.
And Katherine looked fabulous as a wicked witch, while Naleigh donned a princess ensemble and Josh opted for a black and white clown look.
Meanwhile, Heigl told press that Naleigh is a fan of dressing up every day, not just on Halloween.
"Naleigh loves clothes. She's a total girly girl, and she put on these crazy stiletto shoes and could walk in them! She's three years old and her foot is this big, but she could like walk around in these stilettos that I think are impossible to walk in!"

Taking a break from her busy schedule, Katherine Heigl was spotted arriving at the Los Angeles Zoo on Saturday afternoon (October 22).
Joined by her daughter Naleigh and husband Josh Kelley, the ?Knocked Up? actress looked to be having a marvelous time as she got in some quality time with the fam.
Unfortunately, when they got to the zoo, it turned out to be closed. Prior to their arrival at the zoo, Katherine & Co. dropped by the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for some luscious libations.
Afterwards, Katherine tweeted, ?Having another great family day in LA! Watching my new fav show Revenge with Naleigh Moon and JK. So proud of my friend Nick Weschler!?

Looking to refuel her white luxury SUV, Katherine Heigl was spotted at a gas station in Hollywood yesterday afternoon (October 20).
The ?Grey?s Anatomy? gal looked snazzy in a light brown mountain coat as she topped off her tank and drove off to her destination.
Katherine recently gushed about her adopted daughter Naleigh and her budding passion for fashion.
?She?s a total girly girl. ?I had my stylist over and we were working on the outfit for tonight, and she had a slew of beautiful shoes and jewelry and clothes. Naleigh Moon loves all that stuff ? she put on these crazy stilettos. She?s [almost] three years old and her foot?s this big. But she could clomp around in these stilettos I think are impossible to walk in.?
?She?s really chatty now, and she gets this little attitude ? not a bad attitude, but a very grown up, saucy attitude that blows my mind because I don?t even know where she?s picking it up from. Unless it?s from me, which would just be upsetting.?

I don’t believe the Fame labeled these pictures of Katherine Heigl as stylish or hot without breaking out in hysterical laughter. What the hell is she wearing? She looks like a flying nun. She looks ridiculous. I swear her stylist is just playing a cruel practical joke on her. Or if they aren’t, maybe this is why a lot of celebrities need stylist. So they don’t end up looking like this.

We’re covering the fashion of last night’s Elle’s Women in Hollywood event in three different posts as there were so many celebrities there. Kaiser has already mentioned Jennifer Aniston’s hot dress along with some of the other big names, Like Reese Witherspoon and Evan Rachel Wood. I’ll be covering some of the other celebrities here along with my favorite TV personalities.
First off we have Katherine Heigl in a beaded little black dress. It’s a bit “mature” looking, but it’s not bad at all for her. She looks very good, if kind of crazed here. I like what she’s done with her short hair too. Her husband Josh Kelly came with her and looked almost as thrilled to be there. After seeing these photos, I’m convinced that things are fine with them.
Jayma Mays in a one-shoulder ruched blue dress with ruffle detail. Compared to some of the horribly frumpy things she’s worn on the red carpet, this was a vast improvement. Her hair is gorgeous and that sideswept looked is popular now. Her eye makeup is a little overdone, but overall this was a win for Jayma.
Busy Phillips looked a little goofy with that very tight, very high little bun on her head. I want to give her a pass for just looking so happy and cute though. She’s adorable in this very simple black dress paired with silver jewelry. What was she thinking with those purple shoes?
Matthew McConaughey’s squeeze Camila Alves had her pose on in a navy blue polka dot retro-style dress. She used to be a model, so I guess that could explain her sourpuss face. I love the dress, hair and makeup. The shoes and purse aren’t my favorite.
Erika Christensen of “Parenthood” looked really drab. I love her on that show, she’s one of my favorite actresses. What happened to her here? I wear more makeup and do more to my hair to go to the store on a daily basis. She’s a Scientologist I’m sorry to say, but she was raised in it. Also, here’s her date:
In contrast, Gillian Jacobs from another one of my shows, “Community,” was way overdone. The bottom half of that dress would be cute with a nice solid color panel at the top, but the contrasting patterns and colors are just ridiculous. Paired with that makeup and poofy hair and she looks unhinged.
Amber Heard, Johnny Depp’s costar in the upcoming Rum Diaries, was a study in color. I’m perplexed at how an otherwise gorgeous girl can pair a form-fitting pepto Pink dress with matte scarlet lips, brown eyeshadow, too-yellow hair and black t-strap heels and end up looking like this. It’s like all the lovely parts are there, but they don’t work together.
Elizabeth Olsen wore a silver tent-like Calvin Klein gown. It doesn’t do much for her, but I love how genuinely happy she looks here, and her makeup is so striking.
Abigail Breslin is still only 15! I can’t believe it, as I had to look it up and assumed she was 17-something by now. She had on a very tasteful loose orange dot dress paired with a canary colored clutch and nude heels. She’s wearing too much makeup for her age, but she looks cute here.
Naomi Watts in a nude-colored v-neck gown. The color washes her out, but she looks so hot. I love her hair and makeup, except her mascara is really clumpy. That’s happened to me when I let a makeup counter person do my mascara. I expect Naomi had something similar happen with her makeup artist.
