Jennifer Garner did an interview with Ellen and while it wasnt clear what she was promoting, she did help raise money for Save the Children. I came away from it liking her more. She can be performative when shes live on traditional talk shows, which is completely understandable, celebrities need to be on, but she was natural and funny in this interview. She explained that shes having her kids clean their house every Sunday, and she also told the story of how they ended up ordering a stroller for their cat. So many of you have noticed and mentioned that! Ellen and Jennifer played a scavenger hunt game where she had to find items around her house, and that was fun too.
On how shes doing in lockdown
Its been great, weve had our moments of course, but I think they really get the call to action of staying put and working hard to keep your chins up. Theyre cleaning the house and helping out. Every Sunday we [clean] the whole house. I finally let my son clean his own bathroom, hes 8. I walked in after and the whole bathtub was gray. He had put so much cleaner in it and then just filled it with water and emptied the water out. It took me 20 minutes of scrubbing.
On stroller cat
One of my kids was not into going for walks and we just had to get out of the house. I said what can we do, we have to just commit to going to walks. She said I want to take the cat. So we ordered a cat stroller. I blame Jessica Seinfeld because shes a cat lady and all of a sudden I have a cat stroller and I have a cat and I take it for walks. It has a leash.
Does you cat enjoy the stroller? It looks [confused]
I think its happy to go out and about. Its very titillated by the whole adventure. Its into it.

In the Gossip with Celebitchy podcast #53 we talk about stroller cat! (Thats at minute 34, heres a link right to that section.) I picked a comment about stroller cat as one of our comments of the week. Chandra/Kaiser said that it was thirsty of Jen to take the cat out in a stroller, and shes definitely thirsty (I said its a mom thirst for Tang or Capri Sun), but as a solution to getting her kid to go out with her its not as bad. Notice how Jen never says the name of any of her kids or even of her cat in this interview. She knows what shes doing. She also killed two birds by buying a stroller for their cat because it makes for cute photo ops and interview stories.
My moms friend has an adorably sleek male cat which she brings with her traveling. Id never seen a cat on a leash before that and was kind of fascinated by it. He was very much cat-like in that you couldnt predict where he would go, but he also seemed ok with being on the leash. It was more a tolerance of it than an enthusiasm.
Also, Garner has been a good ally. Check her Instagram. Shes not like Kristen Bell talking out of both sides of her mouth, although that bar is so low. As a sidenote she really should put that cat on her Instagram.

For those of you with small kids at home at this time, my thoughts are with you when theyre not obsessively focused on myself and my own situation. My son is 15 and we have our own challenges but I am grateful hes with me and is mostly self sufficient. Im trying to stay positive, to come up with sh-t to do and to count my blessings. Yesterday I ate a pint of Ben and Jerrys Peanut Butter Half Baked (holy sh-t that is amazing, with Haagen Dazs Coconut Caramel Chocolate Trio a close second) and it made me feel better for about ten minutes. Sometimes I wish I had a dog to force me to walk twice a day as I usually feel better after that but its hard to make myself get out of the house, especially when its cold and rainy and staying in is for the good of all.
Thanks for listening to me complain under the guise of concern. That was my introduction to these photos of Jennifer Garner out with her three kids, Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 8. They walked their sweet golden retreiver, Birdie, whom they got as a puppy in the summer of 2015. We were told at the time that the new dog was another sign they are working together to raise kids and be in a kind relationship. Back then they were still wearing their rings for the kids too. Memories. Look they have their cat in a baby stroller too! I love that. Check out its fluffy ears theyre adorable.
No shade on these photos and Im glad that 80% of the Garner-Afflecks are doing well. We know how Ben is doing because hes been doing pap walks with his new girlfriend, Ana De Armas, almost every day. To be clear I dont think Afflarmas are calling the paparazzi, but theyre definitely playing it up for them. I watched a video of the photos below, taken Monday, on the photo agencys site for subscribers. There are cars driving by constantly. Ana and Ben stop for her to stand on the curb and lovingly stroke Bens face. This is the same move they did over the weekend too.
This time Ben walked his dog too, a beautiful German Shepard. Those are gorgeous, loyal and protective dogs. I have a friend with one who can never have more than one person over at a time or her dog will go crazy. She says she always feels safe with him there though. This is making me wonder if I can talk my new landlord into letting me have a dog after I keep paying my rent for a few months. Im thinking I want a border collie. They are also protective when needed but are super friendly. Back in October, 2017, we heard that Ben adopted a stray husky puppy. ET Online reported that and I dont think they got the breed wrong either. I wonder what happened to that dog and Im sure many of you know.
Do you like Anas boho top and skirt here? Its not my style but she looks super cute as always. She seems to favor the color magenta and it suits her.
Oh and Garners kids are getting stir crazy like all the kids. Samuel wrote this poem which he attributed to a fictional pen name. Thats really clever! As for the title of the post, I bet Garner wishes Ben was more discreet, at least for their kids sake, but I also bet she monitors their screen time. Shes said they dont have phones or iPads but that was ages ago.

I was wondering when we?d get an update about Jennifer Garner?s love life. No matter how many memes she posts or pretend cooking shows she does, she still goes back to the traditional press method and that?s what this is. I know I?m a cynical bitch, but it takes a Type A person to know one and US is Garner?s go-to outlet. Sources tell US Magazine that Jennifer?s boyfriend of a year, John Miller, really wants to marry her but that she?s the hold out.

The pair, who were first spotted together in October 2018, recently went on a ski vacation in Montana and are ?very much together,? explains the insider. ?All of their kids have met one another.?
So what?s stopping the couple from tying the knot? That would be the 13 Going on 30 actress, 47. The insider says Miller, 40, ?very much wants to marry? her, but ?he knows she can?t be rushed.?

In USs video they mention that Jen and John went skiing together on vacation in Montana. The additional quotes they have in the video are that Jen admires John because its just normal and that their bond is totally drama free. Thats coded shade for Ben but shes done this before. Us also says that Jen and John are spending time at Jens house in the evenings before she puts the kids to bed. Her children still know him as mommys friend. They havent even kissed in front of the kids.
As for Jon wanting to propose, I don?t think thats how this is playing out, because last January US reported that they would get engaged by the summer. I know people change their mind though so that could be the case here. It?s interesting to me that he?s almost never papped out with her and has avoided the paparazzi for the most part considering how much we see her, Ben and their kids on a daily basis. (They did get photographed out together in February of last year, but only one agency had those photos.) I suspect those were his terms when they first got together. In my opinion this doesn?t bode well for their relationship as I see her with someone more demonstrative. I could be wrong though and I hope she?s happy and fulfilled. She?s a good person and deserves happiness.
A lot of outlets were reporting that Jen wore old school Uggs the other day. That doesnt mean theyre back. Her shoe game is not on point.

US Magazine has two stories claiming that Jennifer Garner and Ben Afflecks co-parenting relationship isnt as rosy as previously reported. It seems like US divided up one print story, which didnt even make the cover, into two sourced stories on the website. It sounds like Jen is so fed up with Ben that shes finally letting the cracks show in the leaked stories to Us. Remember US is Jens go-to outlet. Its a little surprising to me, though, that shes being painted as somewhat of a perfectionist. It does sound like theyre hinting that Ben either isnt sober or that she just suspects hes drinking again. At first I thought these stories might be leaked by Bens side, but now I think Jen is just being self deprecating. Here are excerpts from those two stories on US:
Still adjusting to their new normal. Ben Affleck often feels like he?s ?disappointing? his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, when it comes to coparenting, a source reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
?Ben has been filming in New Orleans and hadn?t seen the kids in a few weeks. They had a big week with Thanksgiving and Violet?s birthday. There was a lot of family time and things do come up,? the source explains. ?Jen wants things done a certain way and sometimes Ben isn?t able to do it in that way. Ben had to head back to New Orleans and couldn?t be part of Violet?s birthday celebration in the way that they had hoped for. Its a balancing act.?
?They are continuing to coparent and spend holidays together but there are issues with schedules and commitments,? the insider tells Us. ?It can be challenging to always be on the same page when you?re dealing with kids personalities, priorities and decision making.?
A second source adds that both Affleck and Garner are ?present? with their kids ?whenever they can be,? noting that the Gone Girl actor is back in Los Angeles ?whenever he has a break from a movie.?

?Jen puts up with a lot and does everything she can to keep it together,? the insider tells Us. ?She wants Ben to be in the kids? lives. That means dealing with things she isn?t happy about. Jen?s major sticking point is that Ben needs to be sober ? and truthful about it. There?s no wiggle room on that as far as his relationship with his kids goes. He?s trying to stay on track and be the best he can for them. But Jen doesn?t always trust him ? and relapse is always a concern.?
The source added, ?Regardless of any disagreements, they try to put on a happy face for the kids and put their needs first. There?s definitely a lot of resentment, but they?re a family first and foremost.?

Yes Jen bugs, but they have three kids that cant be easy, shes the one organizing everything and she wants Ben to show up and be present. I dont think that revealing this to US is the best move for her, but it has to have reached a truly annoying point for her to do that. (If thats whats happening here.) Also Jen has done so much for Ben, especially after their divorce. Remember how, around Halloween, she did a family photo op right after he was photographed falling off the wagon? People may call that codependency and it likely is, but its also looking out for Jens brand and the father of her children. I hope hes not drinking again.
On Sunday December 1, Ben, Jen and Bens mom went to church and then they went to a Christmas tree farm together. It was Violets birthday. Look at how Ben is talking to his mom and how mad he looks overall. Thats around the time frame referenced in this story.

Another year, another story about how Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spend holidays together for their kids. Theyve consistently told us that they do this, and I wonder how that is for them sometimes. Its probably a mixed bag in that theyve done it for so long that its familiar, but your ex is your ex for a reason. Heres that report in People Magazine, which is the PR song weve heard from them for years.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spent Thanksgiving together!
Affleck and Garner, both 47, reunited on Thursday for the holiday, which they spent with their three children ? Violet, 13; Seraphina, 10 and Samuel, 7 ? as well as his mother in Los Angeles.
?They all celebrated Thanksgiving together. It?s very important for both Jennifer and Ben that they celebrate all the holidays together as a family,? a source tells PEOPLE.
?Ben looks great. He returned to L.A. to have a fun Thanksgiving with his kids,? a separate insider says, adding that ?they all took the kids to the movies.?

I wonder what movie they saw and would bet it was Frozen 2. Good for them. I still spend some holidays with my ex, but not all of them as he lives in Germany. It might be easier if he lived down the block, although maybe not. Compare Jennifer Garner and Ben Afflecks announcement to how Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon posted Thanksgiving photos together with their twins and Mariahs young boyfriend. Thats kind of badass, although Mariah threw a huge Thanksgiving party and is in no way comparable to Jennifer Garner or just about anyone really.
Jennifer also got a special message from Julie Andrews, who called her from the set of Katie Courics podcast. I saw the recording of that moment on ET Canada, thats below, and Jen got overwhelmed in that moment. Last month she posted video of herself crying while watching The Sound of Music and this month she got a personal call from Julie. I guess Katie Couric had Jennifers number and set it up. That must be an awesome perk of being famous, that youre one degree of separation away from anyone you want to meet. The downside is that everyone knows your business and you have to keep up appearances, although Garner is particularly skilled at that. There are photos of them from Friday having what appears to be an intense conversation/argument though.

These quotes from Jennifer Garner in the title are from a panel she did in September, but I keep up with the news about her and theyre new to me. People Magazine used them as filler for one of Jens relatable mom! moments on Instagram, a photo she posted of herself in wet hair, her robe and slippers while waiting for her daughters school bus. Thats below. She bugs, but this is her brand and shes done a lot toward building that with Instagram so I get it. I also sometimes do find her relatable, like this story she told about making homemade stuff for your kids and having them reject it.
?I can?t really complain about my kids,? she said in September, speaking at an INBOUND panel in Boston, Massachusetts. ?They?re pretty awesome. They humor me.?
?But I have chilled out and stopped trying to be my mom,? she added at the panel, explaining that growing up, her mom cooked everything from scratch and she used to try to do the same.
?Here I am making homemade wheat thins like a nerd and my kids don?t want them,? she said. ?The harder you work on whatever you?re making for your kids, the less apt they are to eat it.?
But Garner?s new laid back approach to parenting hasn?t affected her need to protect her kids? privacy.
?It?s so gnarly to be a kid now,? Garner told InStyle in August. ?I guard my kids? privacy as much as I possibly can, and I?ve never posted pictures of them on Instagram. I used to refuse to say their names during interviews ? but everyone knows their names! I would just say ?my eldest,? which I still do out of habit a lot.?
?I?m sure there are times my kids would really love to see themselves reflected on my social media in a fun way and to have the attention they would get from that. But I?ve fought too hard against it. It would feel hypocritical,? she continued. ?There?s no implied judgment of people who do put their kids up there; I just don?t think most kids have been hounded in the way that mine were when they were little.?

We did report on that second filler quote People Magazine is using, the one about not posting her kids photos on Instagram and guarding their privacy. Thats a mixed bag with Garner and Affleck in that we always see them out with their kids when they have a PR crisis. I suspect theres no escaping that cycle unless they move. I wanted to talk about cooking though. I do cook him meals, but when my son was smaller I stopped bothering because he never seemed to really like what I cooked. I swear I could cook the exact same thing as my mom and grandmas was always better. Now that hes a teenager though he appreciates the dinners I make and so I cook for him more. He once told me he knew when we were having company because I would make dinner and that cut me deep. After that I made it a goal to cook for him about twice a week, no matter how busy I am. I know thats not much and I make quicker meals on the off days, like black bean or turkey burgers, baked potatoes with ham and cheese and things like that.

These are photos of Jennifer Garner in an off-the-shoulder Stella McCartney LBD at the Hollywood Film Awards yesterday. She wears a lot of black to events and this is a standard look from her. She did switch up her styling a little with a center part, which is lovely. Her makeup is odd though, and it looks like they forgot to use mascara. They tried something different with her and it didnt work.
Us Magazine, which is clearly Jennifers outlet of choice, ran a story about Jens boyfriend, John Miller, which sounded similar to past stories theyve had on him. Remember the thinly veiled shade about Ben in other US articles about John? Im thinking about the line from a story in August that Jen feels like shes finally found a true partner in John. This article is more of the same. John has been living with Jen as hes been evacuated from his home, which is threatened by the terrible fires in California. Hes been so supportive of her since Bens relapse, and hes just the complete opposite of Ben. Hes so wonderful!
Despite the distressing development in Affleck?s recovery from alcoholism, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly that Garner, 47, ?knows she can rely on? the businessman, who has been staying with the actress since his home was evacuated in the aftermath of the Getty fire in Los Angeles.
?They are very happy, and going strong,? the source tells Us. ?John has been a rock for Jennifer, especially during Ben?s recent relapse?
Though Garner has said she will always support her ex-husband in his recovery, a source tells Us that the Alias alum?s relationship with Miller, 40, is as solid as ever.
?Ben?s struggles with sobriety don?t impact their relationship because Jennifer doesn?t feel solely responsible for him,? the source reveals. ?John is just the complete opposite of Ben though.?

I get it, Jen wants the public to know that she has a boyfriend and that shes not back with Ben despite their united front after Bens relapse. It makes sense. Its been pointed out so many times that its interesting how Jen is never photographed with John. Thats especially true now that we know hes been staying with her. I think thats Johns choice, not Jens. Im surprised theyre still together as it cant be easy to date someone under the microscope of the press and paparazzi. Maybe John is the opposite of Ben in that respect too, he doesnt want anyone to talk about him.

Do you miss the constant updates and sourced quotes about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garners divorce? I do not, but I remember that time somewhat fondly, as hard as it was to keep up with. Ben and Jen must have had an entire PR team releasing quotes which were worded slightly differently, all about how they were coparenting and putting the kids first. Sometimes they would shade each other a little when things got out of hand, but it was never bad. You could tell that they were on the same page with the kids, even as Ben was drinking and when he dumped his mistress-turned-official girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, by stepping out with that Playboy model. The whole PR approach was a good strategy, in theory, but they needed to show more restraint and they have lately. Jen is on Instagram and shes also dialing it back and not having to control as much of the narrative, since Ben is sober now and isnt messing up as much. So heres the latest in US about Garner and Afflecks relationship, and how Garners boyfriend, John Miller, has made Ben a better person or something.

Since their split in 2015, the actor has stepped things up in his role as dad to Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7.

In the video theres another quote that Jen feels like shes finally found a true partner. Thats total shade. You know who this is coming from and Im sure shed be happier if hed just step out with her. Remember the cover story on US in January that Miller was going to propose to Garner sometime over the summer? I wonder what happened to that. This is a nice story though and I believe it. I bet Ben treats Jen way better when he knows he has competition and cant get her back anytime he wants. I also think its true that Ben is nice to John and doesnt have an issue with him. Thats the kind of guy he is, hes always cool with other dudes.
