Last night, Taylor Swift definitely won the best dressed at the AMAs. I dont think anyone even came close to something as special as that outfit. Even though she pissed off half her fans with her politics, Im sure even the most right wing male had his pants down. []

As soon as Taylor Swift announced that she was coming to the American Music Awards, you knew that she was probably going to win all of the awards she was up for. She also opened the show with her first televised, awards-show performance of ?I Did Something Bad,? which just FYI I actually think is one of the strongest songs on Reputation. She really brought the snake drama, perhaps to compensate for? the lack of dancing drama, you know? Bless her heart, she TRIES to do choreography, she really does. But thank the lord for the giant cobra. That snake saved the performance. Here?s a clip (this will likely get taken down!).

On Friday, we learned the absolutely bizarre news that Oscar-winner Tom Hooper is going to be directing a film adaptation of the musical Cats. We also learned that it would star Ian McKellen, Jennifer Hudson and? Taylor Swift. On the same day this film was announced, Taylor stepped out in New York in the lace-and-leopard-print ensemble you see in these photos. Do you get it? SHE?S A CAT. She?s a big cat, a leopard, or maybe a cheetah. The important thing is that whenever you see Taylor, you think ?she?s a cat, I remember now.? Anyway, this ensemble is awful. The skirt is hiked up way too high and the lace top with a sports bra underneath makes it look like she?s bizarrely wearing a flesh-colored wide belt. The shoes are struggling too. Now, all that being said, I like that Taylor is back to pap-strolling. I?ve actually missed this.
Meanwhile, did you hear about Taylor getting sued? Taylor has a game now called The Swift Life. Except The Swift Life was registered as a business name in 2007, by a small computer company business.
Taylor Swift flat-out stole her gaming app, The Swift Life so claims a tiny computer company that is going after the singer in court. SwiftLife a computer consulting company claims it owned its name since 2007, and then Taylor came along and just jacked it.
SwiftLife is a one-man company and its owner, Patrick Benot, says he was never contacted by the singer or her reps they just took it to launch the digital gaming experience app The Swift Life. Benot goes on to say Taylor and her people know full well about the ins and outs of trademarking products shes trademarked 64 items herself, so there is no excuse. Benot says her app has caused him endless grief he has an email called help@swiftlife.com and it has been flooded with people confusing his little company with Taylors gaming app.

This seems to me like a pretty open-and-shut trademark issue. If it?s handled out-of-court, it will probably involve Taylor paying this guy to go away and paying him to hand over the rights to the trademark. But if he wanted to put up a fight, he could, because he IS right: Taylor and her lawyers know all about trademarks. They?ve tried to trademark everything from Welcome to New York to ?this sick beat? and more. Weird that no one ever bothered to check the trademark on The Swift Life?
