Making the most of the patriotic holiday, Halle Berry took her daughter Nahla to Griffith Park to celebrate Independence Day yesterday (July 4).
And it seemed the ?Monster?s Ball? babe couldn?t stop taking cell phone pictures of her adorable little girl as she rode around on a docile horse while shutterbugs loomed in the distance.
Tomorrow (July 6th) Halle is slated to begin filming her new project ?The Hive? which also stars ?Little Miss Sunshine? actress Abigail Breslin.
Directed by ?The Machinist? helmsman Brad Anderson, The Hive? is about an emergency call center operator who takes a call from a teenage girl who has been abducted.
WWE Films CEO Michael Luisi told press, "'The Hive' is an ideal addition to WWE Studios' slate of films given its strong award-winning cast and exciting story. We are looking forward to working with Brad Anderson and Troika Pictures on this picture."

As you know, Halle Berry, 45, is engaged again, to fellow actor Olivier Martinez, 46. This will be Halle’s third marriage and Olivier’s first. Halle previously swore off every getting married again, but when she confirmed her engagement she kind of took it all back, saying “never say never, people!” Well along with Halle’s engagement come rumors about what kind of wedding she’s planning. Star Magazine claims she’s going to have a dream wedding in South Africa, which is essentially where she “met” Olivier because they fell in love while filming there. Star claims that, unlike Halle’s previous kind of slapdash weddings, she’s going to go all out for this one. I could see this happening, but I’m still not sure that Star has any insider information. Given what we know about Halle, can’t you see her having a huge wedding and selling the photos to People Magazine? I can imagine just that. Here’s Star’s story:
“The wedding’s going to be in Cape Town, because that’s where they met and fell in love,” an insider tells Star, referring to the set of the film Dark Tide in 2010. “They want to have the ceremony and reception on a huge yacht in False Bay. they’re finalizing a lot of the details now, like who’s going to design the dress.” (Roberto Cavalli is said to be at the top of her list.) Robert Mazlo, the jeweler who designed their engagement ring, is also working with Halle on the wedding bands. And there will be tons of orchids and purple peonies, Halle’s favorite flowers. Olivier also wants African singers and dancers, and the cuisine will most likely be Moroccon, which is a favorite of theirs…
Halle, who was wed to former baseball player David Justice, whom she accused of domestic violence, and singer Eric Benet, who was a notorious cheater, never had a proper wedding before. “Her first wedding in her Atlanta home included five guests, and she wore a cocktail dress; her second, on the beach in Santa Barbara, had only two guests, and she wore a simple shift,” says the source.
“This time around, both of them want all their friends and family to be a part of it.”
So how do the couple plan on topping off their dream wedding? A dream honeymoon, naturally. After the festivities, the two will set sail on Olivier’s private yacht and tour the Mediterranean Sea. “Olivier loves to sail,” says the source. “He’s so excited to show Halle his favorite places.”
The next step for the duo is to talk about granting Nahla’s recent wish for a little sister. “Olivier doesn’t have any children, and he desperately hopes it’s not too late for them to have a baby together,” says the insider. “Halle wants it to happen too!”

Halle sounds like she’s been trying to convince the world, and herself, that this one is “different,” so I can believe this big destination wedding story. It sounds a bit far-fetched but who knows really. She hates the paparazzi (when she doesn’t call them) so maybe a far away wedding is just what she wants to make sure that no unauthorized photos are taken. So that she can cash in and make sure she has final photo approval.
As for the part of the story where they’re supposedly trying to have another baby, can you imagine? Halle will get caught up in another custody battle where it’s all her ex partner’s fault. She’s better off just marrying him.

Getting in a little bit of exercise, Halle Berry was spotted running on the beach with her daughter, Nahla, in Malibu, California on Thursday (June 21).
Wearing what seems to be a colorful necklace made by her daughter, the "Dark Tide" actress showed off her toned legs in a cream button-down dress while holding Nahla's hand as they ran around a rock.
Halle was recently ordered to pay $20K a month in child support to her ex Gabriel Aubry, and although the two have shared custody of their daughter, the 45-year-old actress is looking to change that.
After getting engaged to Olivier Martinez, Berry petitioned the court to to allow her to take Nahla and move to France with her new man.
As for her upcoming wedding, the Belfast Telegraph says Berry and Martinez are planning to exchange vows where they first met on the set of their movie "Dark Tide", in Cape Town, South Africa.

Taking care of her motherly responsibilities, Halle Berry was spotted dropping off her daughter Nahla at school today (June 8).
The ?Monster?s Ball? actress gave a dirty look to the shutterbug who snapped pictures from a distance as she held her little girl?s hand and crossed the parking lot.
And though she?s been desperately trying to get a judge to let her take Nahla with her to live in France, it doesn?t look like she?ll be granted permission
An insider told press that a social worker?s findings were in favor of staying in the States near her dad Gabriel Aubry.
?The report concluded that Gabriel's relationship with Nahla would clearly change drastically if she moves to France. Gabriel plays a very active role in Nahla's life and has been a doting and loving father and that would obviously change if she moved to France.?
?The report notes that Gabriel takes Nahla to and from her preschool and spends as much time as possible with her under terms of the current custody agreement. The proposed move to France would essentially cut Gabriel out of Nahla's life and the child psychologist determined that wasn't in the little girl's best interest. However, this is just a report, it will be up to a judge to ultimately decide
if Halle will be allowed to move to France with Nahla.?

Showing off her natural beauty, Halle Berry was spotted arriving to catch a flight at JFK airport in New York City on Tuesday (June 5).
The ?New Year?s Eve? beauty looked effortlessly cool in destroyed jeans and baggy top as she sported her natural curly hair and a makeup free face.
In other news, the 45-year-old has been going through quite the legal battle with her 4-year-old daughter Nahla's father, Gabriel Aubry, and recently it looks like Halle may be making headway in the case.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, a custody evaluation has recently been submitted to the judge and according to sources, the evaluator believes that Miss Berry would be better suited as the full time parent.
If the "Catwoman" beauty wins full time custody she most likely will head thousands of miles away to live in Paris, France where she and her family will get more privacy. Only time will tell but a judge is set to make his final decision later this month.

This news came out yesterday, but I wanted to listen to TMZ’s explanation of this complicated story and it took me a little while. They covered this on TMZ live yesterday (it’s in the first part of this video) and I think they did a great job of explaining it clearly, along with all the legal issues. As you know, Halle Berry has been gunning to move to France, against the wishes of her daughter Nahla’s birth father, Gabriel Aubry. TMZ head Harvey Levin explained why Halle is likely to be allowed to move to France by the judge presiding over her custody case, essentially taking Nahla away from her dad. Levin sounded much more balanced in his viewpoint this time around, and he admitted that it was messed up that Halle will probably get to move to France, under the current custody law. It’s all about which custodial parent Nahla is better off with.
A new custody evaluation report supposedly found Halle to be the superior parent. Under the current law in California, a child can move anywhere the custodial parent wants. Now, given Halle’s income she will most likely have to foot the bill for Gabriel to come to Paris to visit Nahla, but she probably doesn’t care. According to TMZ she’s about to get her way.
I’ve transcribed some of TMZ live below. Most of the quotes are from Harvey Levin:
Halle Berry came out the better parent in the custody evaluation report
The custody evaluation report is in. Halle Berry won, the custody evaluator said Halle is the better parent.
Gabriel has “personal issues”
Gabriel has ‘personal issues that prevent him from being the kind of custodial parent that would be secure, and safe and good for Nahla.’ The custody evaluation said it would ‘affect his ability to be responsible for Nahla’ They don’t think he has any problem with how much he loves his daughter, but there’s a couple of personal issues which affect his ability to take responsibility.
The custody evaluation is based on Halle’s allegations!
[The report] is sealed, but it is a long report. The evaluator is addressing a lot of the allegations Halle made. When they went to Europe, Gabriel allegedly neglected the child and the child ended up being in harm’s ways as a result. Not that he wanted to put the child there. According to Halle… and the evaluator, he’s not a great parent in regards to being responsible and ‘on it.’ He loves his kid for sure, and she loves him, but in regards to being a custodial parent, Halle is the better parent.
Why Halle will probably get to move to Paris
The way the law is worded in California, the judge cannot second guess Halle’s [move to France.] The judge cannot say ‘you’re not going to move to France…’ If any parent goes to a custody judge and says ‘I’m moving to Paris [etc]. Whatever they say, the judge has to take it as a fact that that parent is moving. The judge cannot second guess it and say ‘no you can’t.’ She has a right to move, and the judge has to accept it.
Given that, the judge now has to say. ‘Is it in the best interest of Nahla to be with Halle in Paris or Gabriel in Los Angeles.’
Why it doesn’t matter if Halle is out for revenge
Here’s what’s screwed up about this. If Halle did this even out of revenge, and I’m not saying that she did…. she could do it. She could say ‘I’m moving to France,’ and the judge has to accept it.
On how Halle came out in the report
She came out pretty unscathed. They’re looking at her ability to parent the kid. Right now she parents Nahla. It’s not so much whether Halle has issues with relationships, and many people say she does. This is about how she parents the kid. The report, the way it’s been told to me, she is the far superior custodial parent.
Frankly the law is screwed up. That a parent can say “I’m moving somewhere,” even if it’s out of revenge. The judge can’t second guess it [he] has to accept it. All the judge is left with is ‘who’s the better parent.’
On if her paparazzi freakout sealed the deal
This thing with the photographer happened way after the evaluator made his decision. It’s not like Halle has to justify moving. It turns out she doesn’t.

Notice how Levin admits that the custody evaluation is sealed, and hedges his comments with “the way it’s been told to me.” This is all Halle’s side of the story, and even Levin now believes that this is unfair and screwed up. Aubry hasn’t said a thing to Radar, his outlet of choice, and he easily could. I’m just hoping that Halle is delusional about her chances, as usual, and that the judge makes some kind of ruling that Nahla will remain under 50/50 custody. Hopefully that would mean that Halle doesn’t have the right to move to France. A ruling is expected in this case at the end of the month.

The beautiful couple looked comfy as they spent their quiet afternoon in the sand as the "Catwoman" actress sported a long, baggy grey sweatshirt.
Of course, when you look like one of Hollywood?s most gorgeous stars you can get away with natural hair, makeup and just a sweatshirt. So how does the Revlon spokeswoman stay ageless?
When recently talking to press, the 45-year-old beauty explained she uses Kinara Spa skincare products and tries to stay as healthy as possible adding, ?It?s cleansing your skin, watching what you eat, no smoking, not too much drinking, no sugar ? just simple,? she admitted. ?And using sunscreen! If you don?t have a good base, then it doesn?t matter what you put on it ? it?s not going to look as great as it could.?

As for her recent paparazzi-shouting incident, Halle told press that though she regrets how she handled the situation, her point stands that shutterbugs need to stay away from her daughter Nahla.
