As soon as I heard about Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence?s split earlier this week, my first thought was ?Well, Gwyneth Paltrow is going to be smug about this.? To give her some credit, Gwyneth played the situation really well. She didn?t publicly diss Jennifer Lawrence, but you could feel Goop orchestrating some of the drama behind-the-scenes. Gwyneth still made sure that Chris spent lots of time with her and their kids. Gwyneth dictated the terms. Gwyneth still manipulated the players to some degree. And it worked. So, she has reason to be so smug? this time. She won. Her estranged husband is no longer dating a fart-soaked America?s Sweetheart.
That was fast! Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin?s relationship has fizzled out after just four months, and no one is less surprised than his ex, Gwyneth Paltrow. RadarOnline.com has learned that she?s telling friends she knew the relationship was doomed from the start!
News of the Lawrence ? Martin split broke on Monday, but according to a source, ?Gwyneth wasn?t surprised by it. She never thought the relationship was going to last because of their age difference. Jen is 24 and Chris is 37. Plus, Jen complained to Chris that she felt like the third wheel in their relationship because of all the time he spent with his kids.?
Meanwhile, ?Gwyneth always pressured Chris to spend more time with Apple and Moses,? the source revealed. ?The kids would constantly call Chris when he was with Jennifer, and whatever they were doing would have to come to a standstill. There was always the expectation from Gwyneth that Chris should spend even more time with the kids.?
According to the source, ?Even though Gywneth didn?t take Chris? relationship with Jen seriously, there is a chance they could get back together. Jen is young and impulsive, and Chris still has very strong feelings for her.?
A request for comment from Paltrow?s rep wasn?t immediately returned.

People Magazine has a story about why J-Law broke it off with Chris and, if I may summarize, it sounds like Jennifer was very uncomfortable with how close Gwyneth and Chris still seemed. A source claims: “It is hard for her to understand the feelings between Chris and Gwyneth. She thought that Chris and Gwyneth were a little too close for comfort. It was an odd situation for her.” Yes, Jennifer. You just got played by Dame Goop.

I put this in the links yesterday because I didn?t feel like going full-on Goop, but here we go again. Gwyneth Paltrow is all over the place this week. She?s apparently in the new season of Lisa Kudrow?s Web Therapy, where Kudrow plays a terrible therapist doling out advice via web cam. Kudrow has actually gotten some really great actors to guest as ?patients? including Lily Tomlin, Meryl Streep, Alan Cumming, Jane Lynch, Steve Carell, and many more. Apparently, Gwyneth is playing an angry, petty yoga guru/New-Age healer type. Should be good! There?s also this video that Tracy Anderson posted of her friend Goop doing some kind of dance-exercise. I?ll admit, Goop is pretty coordinated. If I tried to do this, I would fall down.
Right? There was also a video this week of Gwyneth and Chris Martin having dinner and she lovingly stroked his cheek or something. I have no idea why people continue to make a big deal about Chris and Gwyneth?s relationship post-uncoupling. They have dinner together all the time. They?re successfully co-parenting. And Gwyneth doesn?t care for Jennifer Lawrence, so of course she?s keeping Chris a little bit closer these days. But of course, Goop is still getting some from a lover on the side. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone.
Gwyneth Paltrow and ?American Horror Story? producer Brad Falchuk are openly a couple when they circulate among Hollywood VIPs, insiders say. They are ?openly dating, but behind closed doors,? said an insider, who added that entertainment pros know them as a couple. ?They go to private Hollywood parties together.?
Paltrow and Falchuk ? who also produces ?Glee,? on which Paltrow has guest-starred ? reportedly spent time together over the summer in LA and the Hamptons, and went on a Utah vacation after Paltrow ?consciously uncoupled? from her Coldplay hubby Chris Martin. (Rumors had also burbled before that Falchuk was regularly traveling to London to spend time with the Goop guru.)
Politically correct exes Paltrow and Martin were seen out for a family dinner Wednesday in LA, and she was affectionately stroking the singer?s face as they parted ways after. Perhaps having a new man is part of the reason Paltrow seems so unconcerned with Martin?s dating much-younger Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence? Reps didn?t get back to us.

It?s sort of shocking to me that Gwyneth hasn?t gotten any amount of crap for ?homewrecking? Brad Falchuk?s marriage, not to mention her own. I mean, I feel pretty confident that Gwyneth and Chris were both screwing around pre-uncoupling, but from what I?ve heard, Brad and his wife did not have the same kind of open-marriage agreement. As for Brad and Gwyneth being ?openly dating, behind closed doors?? sure, okay. At least we know they?re still together. For now.

First, let me make my big political statement: I don?t have any strong feelings about Pres. Obama fundraising for the Democratic Party and for congressional candidates. He?s worried that the Dems will lose control of the Senate, which is a very real and likely possibility. I?m worried about it too, because I think the current political situation in Washington will get even worse if the Dems lose the Senate. Just my two cents.
So, Pres. Obama is still fundraising. Last night, he attended a $32,000-a-plate fundraiser held by his long-time supporter Gwyneth Paltrow. The event was held in Goop?s LA home or, more specifically, her backyard. So far, I have no problem. But when Gwyneth tried to introduce Pres. Obama, it got a little weird.
Tongue-tied! Gwyneth Paltrow had a VIP visitor in her backyard on Thursday, Oct. 9 ? President Obama! And the Goop founder was so overwhelmed by her guest’s good looks that she struggled to give a speech. The Oscar-winning actress hosted a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in her backyard, welcoming the President and around 200 others (including Julia Roberts and Bradley Whitford) into the garden of her lavish Los Angeles home for a cocktail reception.
But when it came to addressing her guests, and in particular the President of the United States, an overwhelmed Paltrow, 42, found herself lost for words. The mom-of two told Obama, “I am one of your biggest fans, if not the biggest,” before praising him for being an “incredible role model.”
She went on to talk about the importance of sustainable energy sources, and to praise Obama’s support for equal pay which Paltrow (who Forbes estimates earns an amazing $19 million a year) said was, “very important to me as a working mother.”
Then, overcome with nerves, the actress stumbled a little before passing the microphone off to the President, telling him flirtatiously, “You’re so handsome that I can’t speak properly.?
The world leader thanked his hostess and her kids Apple, 10, and Moses, 8, for “letting us crash your house,” and then went on to use Paltrow’s children as an example of why the world must help solve the Ebola crisis in Africa.
“I want to assure everybody that the likelihood of an epidemic here in the United States is extraordinarily small,” the President said. “But there’s a humanitarian crisis that’s happening right now in West Africa where children not much older, and in some cases younger than Apple and Moses, are dying on the streets alone.”

To be fair, I think most Democrats would get all gushy and tongue-tied when they met Pres. Obama. But this kind of thing easily gets blown out of proportion ? take this TMZ story which reads like something off of Breitbart. Us Weekly didn?t even quote Gwyneth?s most ridiculous statement ? she apparently said: ?It would be wonderful if we were able to give this man all of the power that he needs to pass the things that he needs to pass.? Ugh, Goop, you?re not helping!

Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz at the luncheon for the Hollywood Costume exhibition in LA. They didn?t pose together, but we know that they?re BFFs and they probably sat together and gossiped. What do you think they gossiped about? Boys? Or Jennifer Lawrence? Gwyneth wore this white Roland Mouret ?Betley? dress which is meh to me, mostly because her styling sucks so hard. I think Gwyneth is trying to go for a casual, beachy styling, but she just looks orange and oily and her hair looks super-damaged. Cameron Diaz wore Isabel Marant (with Givenchy shoes, which suck). I actually like Camy?s look a lot.
As for J-Law and what Gwyneth really thinks about her? God knows. I get the impression that Gwyneth is probably rather patronizing to and about J-Law, like: ?Oh, you fart a lot? That?s charming, little girl.? As for what J-Law thinks of Goop? well, I tend to believe J-Law threw some major shade at Gwyneth?s disordered eating (Bedhead has covered that today). This week, Star Magazine claims that Gwyneth is trying to delay her divorce from Chris Martin in an effort to sabotage his relationship with J-Law. Neither Goop nor Chris has actually filed for divorce and they?re still spending so much time together, so this might make some kind of sense.
Anyway, Goop?s publicist told Gossip Cop that the story is ?complete BS.? For what it?s worth. Just after Goop’s publicist sent that denial, sources told Us Weekly that Gwyneth would “like to spend a little time with her and thinks they’d probably get along.” Sources also say Goop is “fine” with J-Law but Goop wants Chris to “wait a bit” before introducing their children to J-Law. “Gwyneth wants to be sure about her,” the source says.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth is going to be hosting President Obama at her LA home tonight. She?s hosting a fundraiser for the Democratic Party at the cost of $32,000 per plate. Do you think Chris will be there? Do you think Jennifer Lawrence will be there?

A few weeks back the 73-year-old ex-con insulted the Oscar-winning actress? lifestyle website Goop, stating, "She just needs to be quiet. She's a movie star?If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart.?
Thankfully, Gwyn didn?t engage in the mudslinging, but instead told the Most Powerful Women Summit audience, ?No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I'm shocked and devastated. I'll try to recover.?
"If I'm really honest, I'm so psyched that she sees us as competition. I'm so psyched. I really am. At this point in my life I don't take it personally.?

The conversation is mostly about Goop.com and how Gwyneth started her own business, but they get into the beef Martha Stewart has with Gwyneth. Martha said, just last month, that Gwyneth ?just needs to be quiet. She?s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn?t be trying to be Martha Stewart.?
So, that was the ?shots fired!? moment. Then, just a few days ago, Gwyneth announced that she had hired a new CEO, Lisa Gersh, who was formerly the president and CEO of Martha Stewart Living. Gwyneth is coming for you, Martha. Watch your ass, gurl. Then Gwyneth talked about the Martha beef during this summit:
Paltrow insists she’s flattered Stewart even considers her competition and revealed she’s developed quite a thick skin when it comes to dealing with the outbursts of her critics.
“No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I’m shocked and devastated,” Paltrow said sarcastically. “I’ll try to recover,” she added.
“If I’m really honest, I’m so psyched that she sees us as competition. I’m so psyched. I really am,” she said. “At this point in my life I don’t take it personally,” she said, explaining that at times she even learns “good things” from her critics.
Paltrow?s comments come days after she announced a new hire for her Goop brand — Martha Stewart Living’s former president and CEO, Lisa Gersh. Taking the helm as Goop CEO, Gersh paid tribute to Paltrow and her vision. “As a fan since its launch, I?ve admired the inimitable voice and style Gwyneth has infused into goop, and the business she?s built,” she said. “It?s rare to work with such an inspired founder and a digitally native company, a brand that thinks digitally from an organic point-of-view and successfully fuses content and revenue-generating retail.”

I actually have to give Gwyneth some props for handling that really well. She could have doubled-down on a blonde-girl-fight. She could have thrown major shade. Instead, Gwyneth comes out of it looking like a professional and Martha looks bitter and bitchy. That being said? it?s pretty obvious that Gwyneth is coming for Martha.

Big things are on the horizon for Goop, the lifestyle website founded by Gwyneth Paltrow, and they?ve snagged a high-powered CEO to help navigate the waters ahead.
According to Fashionista, Lisa Gersh has accepted the position after leaving Martha Stewart Living, hoping to step things up on the business front.
Gersh explained, "The brand is established, but the business is a startup. I think that people will be surprised as they spend more time on our site, in terms of the attainability of the products we're recommending.?
As for what we can expect, Goop will continue to put out designer capsule collections, branch out into advertising and even has a namesake label in the works.

In relationship news, Gwyn recently hung out with her ex Chris Martin?s new main squeeze Jennifer Lawrence and they got along pretty well.
An insider told press, ?Chris, Gwyneth and Jennifer were all in LA earlier this month, so Gwyneth suggested a friendly lunch between her and Jennifer. They met at her Brentwood home and drank tea and ate homemade scones while chatting in the garden. Gwyn broke the ice by telling Jen she's happy Chris wound up with such a smart, beautiful woman.?

Goop?s ensemble is a Monique Lhuillier Fall 2014 two-piece. You like? I do not. I don?t mind Gwyneth in black, and I?m ambivalent about tube-tops (so dated, but whatever). But the whole ensemble is just? blah. The lace at the bottom is tacky to me. Meanwhile, the neverending saga of Gwyneth, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin continues. What does it all mean?!?!?!
So much for an amicable split! Ever since Chris Martin has consciously re-coupled with girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, his estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow has been scrambling to keep the Hunger Games actress away from their kids, RadarOnline.com has learned. In fact, according to one source she?s even banned Martin from mentioning her in front of them!
?Gwyneth is doing everything possible to make sure Chris? girlfriend, Jennifer isn?t mentioned in front of Apple and Moses,? a source told Radar. ?She doesn?t want them upset by Chris? ?younger lady friend,? which is how Gwyneth refers to Jen. Explicitly instructed by Gwyneth, Chris has been told not to discuss his girlfriend in front of the kids.?
Furthermore, the source said, ?Gwyneth has told Chris she absolutely does not want any of Jen?s personal items left behind at Chris? house, that the kids might come across.?
Over the weekend, Paltrow celebrated her 42nd birthday, at her Brentwood mansion, and as RadarOnline.com previously reported, Martin was in attendance. But tensions have grown between the two, as Martin told his former wife of ten years, that his new relationship was getting serious.
?Gwyneth was absolutely stunned when Chris told her he wants to introduce the kids to Jennifer,? the source previously revealed. ?It won?t be happening right away, Chris wants to make sure this relationship is going to just fizzle out before taking such a big step. But he sees this relationship going the distance. This has been a huge blow to Gwyn?s ego because she has always bragged that she has Chris wrapped around her finger.?
Indeed, Paltrow and Lawrence almost had a very awkward run-in as she was picking up their kids from Martin?s house as the young starlet was spotted on the same road, just minutes apart.

Gladwell posits that ?gut decisions? are often better, long-term, than carefully considered, well-planned decisions. He says that if more people trusted their intuition and refused to second-guess their first instinct, the world would be a much different/better place. That?s sort of what Gwyneth?s Goop-letter is about, only she made the concept really touchy-feely and New Age-y. Vox did a take-down of the subject here. I often think Gwyneth could do with fewer intuitionists, healers, and New Age types in her life.

Considering how often Jessica Seinfeld comes out to talk about how people really and truly love Gwyneth Paltrow, I think it?s safe to say that Goop has not been handling the Martin-Lawrence situation very well. Bedhead points out that some of the official-ish articles about Martin-Lawrence have sounded suspiciously sourced from Team Goop too. So, should we take Team Goop stuff with a grain of salt? I don?t know. I actually believe that Jennifer Lawrence isn?t spending any time with Chris and Gwyneth?s kids. Why would she? And if that?s not enough, there?s a general sense of unease in Goopworld. I really do wonder what Gwyneth is stage-managing behind the scenes. The Daily Mail/Grazia has an interesting claim about just that:
They might have consciously uncoupled, but it seems Gwyneth Paltrow is still making sure she has a significant place in Chris Martin’s life. That is if reports surrounding the separated couple are true, that claim Gwyneth has drawn up a schedule to ensure Chris spends enough time with her and their children.
Sources also claim that while the 41-year old actress is happy with the Coldplay star dating Jennifer Lawrence, she is ‘uncompromising with the amount of time she expects him to spend with their family’.
A source allegedly told Grazia UK: ‘She’s drawn up a rota to balance his time living life as a bachelor and seeing Jennifer with honouring their many family commitments.’
They say Chris, 37, is ‘torn’ that Gwyneth has this much power over him, even though she was the one who ended their marriage.
‘Gwyneth still has a lot of control over him, which isn’t exactly desirable to prospective girlfriends,’ the source tells the magazine. ‘The way things are at the moment, no sane person would want to be an accessory to their conscious uncoupling.’
The so-called ‘rota’ clearly hasn’t put Jennifer, 24, off as she watched Chris perform at the iHeart Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend, and the couple arrived back in Los Angeles on a private jet together.

So Chris Martin is henpecked by his estranged wife and he needed her to make a schedule and time table to get him to spend time with their children? I don?t doubt it, actually. I think the ?rota? is probably more like a temporary child custody agreement, because Gwyneth and Chris?s ?enlightened? conscious uncoupling is so much better than the average peasanty child custody agreements. But with Gwyneth and Chris?s ?enlightened? agreements and rotas and their living arrangements and how involved Gwyneth still is in his life, how is any of this appealing to J-Law? I?m really asking. This seems like a lot of trouble for her. I mean, she?s a beautiful Oscar-winning 24-year-old. She could easily find a boyfriend who isn?t being haunted by a Goop Ghost.
