Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are engaged! I?m actually quite happy for them? They got together two seconds after they both divorced their spouses Miranda Lambert for him, Gavin Rossdale for her back in 2015. They were friends first, and I always got the feeling that Gwen leaned on Blake a lot immediately following her divorce. At the time, I don?t think any of us thought it would last. But we began to see clues that they were in it for the long-haul. Gwen started spending lots of time in Oklahoma, where Blake has a big spread, and Blake completely leaned into the stepfather role for Gwen?s sons. I get the feeling that Blake is the Cool Stepdad who takes the boys go-cart racing and fishing and probably hunting too.
After a few years, Gwen and Blake were pretty much one the golden couples of the music industry. They did duets together, they won awards together, they attended each other?s events. He seemed to dig her rocker energy and she seemed to enjoy his hillbilly schtick. Notably, Gwen has been trying to get her first marriage annulled, although she?s reportedly come to the conclusion that an annulment will take forever, and maybe she?s ready to marry Blake without annulling her first marriage.
I?ll also say this: I think Gwen is very comfortable being ?the supportive partner? to a successful man. She was the more successful person in her first marriage. She?s still successful, but Blake is selling millions of albums and he?s one of the most well-known country stars in the world. She LIKES that. She?s very happy to be his plus-one at country music awards shows. Gwen is a very small-c conservative woman, and this is the kind of relationship she?s probably always wanted.
Does it matter that their exes still seem kind of bitter? Miranda moved on from Blake so quickly and so performatively, especially with her out-of-nowhere marriage to WhatsHisAbs Hot Cop. Meanwhile, Gavin just seems unsettled by how much his sons seem to adore Blake. Hmm.
Anyway, it looks like Blake got Gwen a nice-sized rock.

True story: I love Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton?s duet ?Nobody But You.? I listen to it a lot while I?m working out. It?s just a nice country love song and I?m surprised by how well Gwen and Blake?s voices sound together. That song was the third collaboration over the course of their five-year relationship,and it?s the song I?ve enjoyed the most. Well, they have another duet called ?Happy Anywhere? and it?s about? being in lockdown together on Blake?s Oklahoma ranch. Never in my life did I think the California-cool rock girl was going to end up an Oklahoma ranch wife.
Nearly five years into his relationship with Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton is as smitten as ever. The cute couple have teamed up for their fourth duet together, titled Happy Anywhere, and the country star, 44, tells PEOPLE it reflects how hes been feeling with his rocker girlfriend, 50, amid the pandemic.
An Okie boy and a California girl look on paper like an unlikely match, but what matters is shes a great human being, says Shelton. She is the most understanding, kind-hearted person Ive ever met and I learn something from her every day.
Over the last few months, the Voice coaches have been holed up in Sheltons cherished Tishomingo ranch ? and theyve been taking advantage of a little more free time in their schedules. The simple pleasure of being together in one place for an extended period of time has been a real gift, says Shelton. We cook, we clean, we ride four-wheelers and we just enjoy being with each other and with family.
The couples down-home music video for Happy Anywhere was shot in Oklahoma, and Shelton says its a peek at their everyday life together. There was a camera shooting the things we do every day, he says. We make biscuits, fish, sing together, spend time with family just a day in life!
Shelton and Stefanis sweet new song marks their fourth time collaborating together, and Shelton says having his girlfriend on the song was a no-brainer. Nobody But You was a big song for us, but we actually recorded Happy Anywhere before that. We were waiting for the right time to release it, and I knew that time was now, he says. Were all still socially distancing, so theres no better time to be happy anywhere with the person or people you love. It doesnt matter where in the world you are ? as long as youre with them, youre happy.

I never would have thought that the lead singer of No Doubt would end up with a country singer who gives interviews to People Magazine about how they go fishing together and make biscuits. I?ve heard a lot of random gossip that people in Oklahoma love Gwen though, that she?s really low-key around town and that it?s clear that Blake adores her sons and they?re quite the happy family.
Heres the video for Happy Together, which is what Blake was promoting. The song isnt as good as Nobody But You but the video is legitimately cute. Blake and Gwen look like theyre having a (country) ball together.

I?ll say it: true love is quarantining with your boyfriend at his Oklahoma ranch rather than your LA mansion. A few weeks ago, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton basically had to cancel or postpone all of their events, concerts, tours, appearances, what have you. I imagine as soon as they did that, they flew to Oklahoma. For what it?s worth, Gwen has always spent a lot of time in Oklahoma we?ve heard stories about how she really likes it there, and the locals like her too, and Blake has basically turned his huge ranch and extensive property into a playground for Gwen?s sons. So? yeah, makes sense that they?re isolating there, together, with the kids, I would imagine.
And even though they have tons of stuff to play with, Blake and Gwen are still getting bored. More than a week ago, Blake announced that he would grow out a quarantine mullet:
I have an announcement. With basically EVERYTHING I had scheduled being canceled for the foreseeable further @gwenstefani and I have made a decision together. I am growing my mullet back as a symbol of hope or some shit like that.. Anyway it?s coming back! For real. Stay tuned

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton arrived on the red carpet very early at the 2020 Grammys. I think they did that because they were performing so early in the evening, but there was also a vibe around them. If Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes had a ?break up? vibe, Gwen and Blake had a ?we?re getting married very soon? vibe. She just seemed especially happy and bridal and lovey-dovey. Maybe they?re already married! Gwen wore this bell-shaped Dolce & Gabbana minidress which is? not my choice, so whatever. I wish people would stop wearing D&G because those designers suck as people. Gwen said she wanted this dress because of the shells sewn into it. Because Blake SHELL-ton, get it?
Lana del Rey attended the Grammys as a nominee for Album of the Year and Song of the Year. She didn?t win anything. Neither did Ariana Grande! And the Lana Hive and Ari Hive have united to slam the Struggle Grammys for snubbing their faves. The snubs were? notable. Anyway, Lana seemed very chilled out and almost? happy?? Her date for the night was her (former) cop boyfriend Sean Larkin, who? is very attractive. Like, this is my type. Silver fox, tall. Still, a COP! Lana wore a silvery, fake-vintage dress she found at a mall. That?s what she told reporters on the red carpet she shops at the mall, and she saw this dress and bought it as a ?last minute dress.? That is shockingly on-brand for Lana.

At first, I thought Blake was gun-shy about marriage after his second marriage (to Miranda Lambert) had a disastrous end. But I?ve revised by theory Blake wants to marry Gwen but she?s the one holding things up. Why is that? Because she?s Catholic and she wants her first marriage (to Gavin Rossdale) annulled. As many Catholic commenters have noted, this is kind of bonkers Gavin and Gwen were married for more than a decade, their union produced children and of course the church would have an issue with annulling that marriage. Well, maybe Gwen has finally realized that she was being kind of crazy?
Gwen Stefani is finally ready to take the next step with Blake Shelton. For the past year, the songstress has been desperately trying to have her marriage to ex-husband Gavin Rossdale annulled so she can marry the country singer in a Catholic church. But because the lengthy process is delaying their plans, sources exclusively reveal in the new issue of Us Weekly that the devout Catholic has decided she?ll marry Shelton ? with or without the pope?s blessing.
?She very much wants the marriage to be recognized by the church,? says a source, but she also understands that Shelton?s been restless. Unfortunately, the process has caused ?tense moments? between them, adds a second insider.
As Us previously reported in March 2019, the couple of four years ?began the formal process? because ?Gwen?s religion has always been extremely important to her.?
Now Stefani, 50, and Shelton, 43, are getting serious about the future. The second insider says the pair are looking to have a church ceremony in Beverly Hills and a big party at Shelton?s Oklahoma ranch. Babies are also on the brain. The mom of Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 5 (whom she shares with 54-year-old Rossdale), would love another child, says another source, but ?if it doesn?t happen, Blake?s content with her three kids.?

Wow, did Blake tell her that he needed to put a ring on it or else? Way to go, Blake! I respect that Gwen was being foolish with the annulment and a person can still be a good person, a good Catholic and a divorcee without an annulment. She and Blake adore each other I hope they get married soon.

We heard that earlier this year, that Gwen a lifelong Catholic has been working on getting her marriage to Gavin Rossdale annulled, years after they were legally married. I said at the time that I didn?t know the Catholic Church would annul a marriage which produced children and lasted for thirteen years. But here we are.
After four years together, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are ready to take the next step. Constantly followed by rumors of a secret engagement or wedding, the couple ? who have teamed up for a new love song, ?Nobody But You,? featured on Shelton?s newest album Fully Loaded: Gods Country (out Dec. 13) ? have hit a roadblock as they plan their future together, multiple sources tell PEOPLE in its latest cover story.
?Blake was very serious about Gwen right from the start, and early on he thought about proposing,? says a Stefani insider. But the former No Doubt rocker, who is a practicing Roman Catholic, hopes to have a church ceremony with the country star. The Roman Catholic Church does not allow remarriage after a divorce unless the earlier marriage is annulled, which can be a lengthy process, and the Stefani insider confirms a church ceremony ?isn?t possible currently.?
Still, the Voice coaches are certain they?ve found ?the one? in each other and are ?very serious? about their relationship, says a friend of the couple. ?It?s definitely headed toward marriage.?
Over the last few years, Shelton, 43, has become a second father figure to Stefani?s sons, Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 5, and the singers? respective families have also become close. ?They?re all very like-minded and comfortable with each other,? says the friend. ?Gwen brings this sparkle to the country world. Her love for Blake is clear, and she?s been embraced by everyone.?
And now with any heartbreak firmly in the past, the couple are focused on living a full life together. ?They fall more and more in love with one another, and their happiness quotient keeps rising,? says the friend.

Well, that adds another aspect to it which I hadn?t considered it?s not so much that Gwen is eager to annul her first marriage although she might be eager, who knows it?s that she wants to get married to Blake in the Catholic Church and they won?t let her until her first marriage is annulled. Got it. So? basically, the Church is slow-walking the annulment and Blake and Gwen are fine anyway. They?re living in sin as an unmarried couple though! What does the church have to say about that?!?

As you can see in some of these photos, Gwen Stefani wore a big ring on her left hand as part of her gloved Vera Wang ensemble at the People?s Choice Awards on Sunday. In videos, this might just look like a blur of diamonds, but in these photos, you can see that it just has a cocktail ring vibe, especially with its placement above the glove, you know? But still, because it?s Gwen and because she walked the carpet with Blake Shelton, there were engagement rumors. Gwen shut it down:

It?s sort of weird to think about, but I get why Blake and Gwen are constantly getting engagement rumors at this point. They?ve been together for years now, they live together (mostly), he?s super-close to her sons. I think Gwen wants to get remarried, and I think Blake adores her. So why aren?t they engaged? Here are some photos from last night?s People?s Choice Awards. You can see the list of winners here they really do not matter at all, but it looked like an okay awards show overall. Better organized than the Critics Choice Awards in any case. Gwen Stefani was one of the few ?A-listers? who actually walked the carpet, as opposed to simply showing up for a few minutes to pick up an award. Gwen walked the carpet with Blake Shelton, and they both picked up awards for their trouble. Gwen?s award was for some kind of ?Icon? something and Blake won for Country Artist of 2019. As fashionable and fashion-conscious as Gwen is, you would think that she would be able to get Blake into a real suit instead of jeans and a vest and blazer. Not so much. Gwen was decked out in Vera Wang, and Blake was? Blake. Also: when Blake won, he said on stage, ?Gwen, I love the sh-t out of you.? Which is sweet!
Pink wore Bella Freud and came with her husband and two kids.
Zendaya is too good for this show! Her dress is Christopher Esber. Very cute and appropriate.
Jenna Dewan in Monique Lhuillier, wow she?s far along. She looks great.
Sarah Hyland in Fausto Puglisi. YIKES on everything orange orange dress, orange lipstick, that?s so wrong.

Whenever I feel bad about my kid not thinking I?m cool despite my awesome job I think about all the celebrities whose teenagers also don?t consider them cool. I?ve heard this from so many celebrities, but I remember that Liev Schreiber said his kids don?t think much of him, but that he earned dad points when he was on SNL and was able to introduce them to Lil Wayne. (His SNL episode was so good!) So your kids can think your friends or the people you know are cool, just not you. Gwen Stefani was on Seth Meyers recently. He asked how her kids, who are 13, 11 and 5, feel about her music. She said the older two don?t really care about what she does except when she can get them in touch with other celebrities.
On her big break and how she wouldn?t make it on The Voice
We were in the garage for 9 years making music we knew would never get on the radio. Then one day wrote a song called Just a Girl I thought nobody would ever hear and it got on the radio. Anytime anyone listens to my music it just brings me so much joy.
?How do you kids feel about your music??
They don?t really care about me. They ask ?mom do you have Ellen?s [number]? I want to play Fortnite with Ninja.?

Gwen is promoting the end of her Vegas show, which has been running for two years. She got so happy talking about it and clearly loves doing it. I was impressed by that part and with how gracious she was about her fans. She said her favorite part was talking to the audience, which was cute.
Gwen was also on Fallon, where she had on a crazy wig which made her look like Janice from the Muppets. Her face isnt looking as altered now, Ill give her that. She was great at promoting her show ending and gave away tickets to everyone in the audience She also said Zuma, 11, is a little organizer and works with the backstage crew on her shows.
On Fallon they played the clip where Blake couldnt identify Hollaback Girl in his last appearance on the show, which was funny. Blake and Gwen have been together for four years now! I?ve heard that Blake gets along really well with Gwen?s kids, and you can tell that it?s important to her to bring them with her when she?s working. It?s not like she?s talking about how hard it is to balance everything, she just wishes her kids would appreciate her more. A lot of parents can relate to that!

When Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton first got together, they went overboard and people were like ?settle down, please.? There were just too many stories, too many social media photos, too much ?odd couple/love match? shenanigans. But Gwen and Blake got the last laugh they?re still together and seem absolutely fine. They aren?t going overboard with a love tour either they seem to spend much of their time in LA, but they only get pap?d every so often, and usually it?s when they?re going to church or having a rare date night out.
Last night was one of their date nights, I guess. They went out to the LA premiere of Bennett?s War, a film about a guy with the Army Motorcycle Unit who gets injured in an IED explosion and ends up becoming a motorcross racer to earn money to save the family farm. I sh-t you not, that?s the actual premise of the movie you can see the trailer here. Country music star Trace Adkins plays the soldier?s father, and judging from the photos, Blake and Trace are tight and that?s why Blake and Gwen came out to support the film.
I think it?s cute that Gwen comes out for these kinds of things with Blake, honestly. They?re a real couple she?ll go out to a premiere of a weird motorcross movie just to support his friend. And she?ll get all dressed up in a weird ensemble too, while Blake stays lowkey in jeans. Gwen?s outfit doesn?t make any sense to me, but I enjoy it. I guess I?m still a fan of these two? Gwen?s back on the latest season of The Voice as well, and Blake?s super-pleased about it.
