Continuing her seemingly-endless promotional tour, Drew Barrymore was in Toronto for a press conference about her new movie “Whip It” today (September 15).
The “He’s Just Not That Into You” babe looked funky and fun as she chatted about her directorial debut at the Sutton Place Hotel as part of the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.

She’s been on a non-stop press tour for her new movie “Whip It” and last night (September 13) Drew Barrymore premiered the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The “Charlie’s Angels” babe looked lovely as she posed for the paparazzi along with Ellen Page and Kristen Wiig outside the Ryerson Theatre.
As for the film’s soundtrack, Drew said she absolutely loved getting to hand pick the songs that made the cut, including some material from ex-boyfriend Fab Moretti’s new band.
“What was so exciting was to finally get to make a film that I could make an ultimate mixtape for and put the two together. It was sort of waiting my whole life, incubating, and I finally got to make them together… I’m really excited to bring that music to people.”
“Most of the people who are on this soundtrack are friends, people we took the time to go to personally and ask them if they would associate themselves with the movie, or people that we discovered that we can’t wait to get to know. It’s really interesting to have such personal relationships with everyone.”

Out for some promotional fun, Drew Barrymore was spotted in Farmington Hills, MI last night (September 11).
The 34-year-old actress sported quite the interesting ensemble in a plaid pants suit, a Rolling Stones tee and black heels as she posed for pictures to promote her new film, “Whip It.”
Ms Barrymore hung out with members of the Detroit Derby Girls who appear in the movie and spoke to the media outside a free, open-to-the-public skating event at the Bonaventure Skating Center.
“Whip It” was directed by Drew and tells the story of an ex-beauty pageant contestant – played by Ellen Page - that leaves her crowns behind after joining a roller derby team.
It hits theatres on Friday, October 2nd.

She’s always up to something, and last night (September 9) Drew Barrymore was in Boston, Massachusetts promoting her new film “Whip It.”
The “Charlie’s Angels” hottie looked super sexy as she hammed it up for the local press in a plaid top with a black skirt and black shoes.
At the event, Drew met with local teens and college students while handing out posters and signing autographs to drum up interest in her directorial debut.
Always a gracious celeb, Miss Barrymore stayed late to take photos with fans before packing up and heading off to her next promotional appearance.

The film is based on the true story of the Texas Roller Derby League, which is weird because I was 99% sure that football was the only authorized sport in Texas. God knows A&M can’t get any other kind of ball through a hoop. Zing!

Starting the work week off on the set of “Going the Distance,” Drew Barrymore was spotted in the Big Apple earlier today (August 10).
The “He’s Just Not That Into You” actress was dolled up in costume in some black boots with jeans and a colorful 1980’s style t-shirt.
Ms Barrymore’s ex-boyfriend and co-star, Justin Long, was also on set this afternoon, and was enjoying a smoothie snack in between takes.
In other news, Drew’s directing debut will be released October 9, 2009 in a movie called “Whip It” which is about a confused teen – played by Ellen Page - who finds a roller derby league as her own bit of salvation. It’s based on the Shauna Cross novel, “Derby Girl.” Barrymore has a role in the film as well.
