These are photos of Drew Barrymore at a Shutterfly event for her new holiday gift collection last week. She looks great and Drew told US Magazine that she’s lost 20 pounds while filming a show for Netflix titled, appropriately enough, Santa Clarita Diet. She costars with Timothy Olyphant and it’s out next year. Drew said, of her weight loss, “I’ve been very disciplined and all I did did was cry and dream about pizza… the holidays are coming up so I’m going to enjoy some of that stuffing.”
So many celebrities are separating or, in Drew Barrymore’s case divorcing, and still spending significant amounts of family time with their exes while coparenting their children. Some are existing in that limbo between full separation and reconciliation, at least as far as the press is concerned (see: Affleck and Garner) and others are already divorced, like Mayim Bialik, and go to events and have holidays with their exes. Drew Barrymore still has business dealings with her ex, Will Kopelman’s family, and she told Entertainment Tonight that “as a family” they had “three dates for this Halloween.” Hmm. So is it any surprise that she’s doing Christmas with her ex too?
Exes Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman are getting into the holiday spirit together despite splitting up earlier this year.
?Most of the family is going on this big adventure trip and our kids are just too young, so Will and I are going to do something fun with them,? Barrymore told Page Six at the launch of her new collection with Shutterfly on Thursday. ?We have like three sets of different Christmas plans ? and then we?re going on this [vacation]. It?s going to be really nice and I?m going to a warmer climate, so I?m excited.?
The couple, who have two daughters together, finalized their divorce in August, but Barrymore told us they?re still close friends.
?We were together today at our kids? school,? she said. ?We spend weekends together. He?s running in the [New York] Marathon, so we?re going to go and wave him on.?
The actress, 41, opened up about her split on Chelsea Handler?s Netflix show in May, saying, ?It?s a tough time. It?s a hard thing to go through. It?s like you?re being put on a cheese grater and every second, going, ?Ah! This wasn?t the plan!’?
[From Page Six]
Some people prefer to have this kind of closeness with their exes as it’s much better than fighting and it may set a better example for the kids. Other people consider it confusing for the kids, who want to see their mom and dad together and aren’t getting a chance to adjust or understand that things are different. The reality is probably somewhere in between because kids are perceptive and kindness usually seems like a better route than acrimony. Plus if this is still happening one side may be holding out for a reconciliation and I bet it isn’t Drew. She isn’t shy about telling us what’s going on in her life, I’ll give Drew that. She’s been open throughout her divorce.
Here’s Drew at the NYC Marathon this weekend with Will’s sister and she also instagrammed a pic of him at the finish line.

With all the Goops, Reeses and Albas getting magazine covers for their lifestyle brands it’s nice to see Drew Barrymore score a cover. Drew is promoting her Flower Beauty line, which just branched into eyewear, and she also runs Barrymore wines, which is no Coppola wines from what I’ve heard. (I love Coppola wine.) In terms of the editorial, I like a bold brow and I have big brows (my hairdresser is older and keeps trying to convince me to go 90s with my brows), but this is just beyond. I get the impression that the big brow trend is about to jump the shark when I see this cover. Too much powder. The other photos, where it looks like her hair is on fire, are a nod to the Stephen King film she starred in as a child, Firestarter, which she said she’d love to remake. (They seemed to have achieved those firey photos with actual gas flames set up behind her, as you can see in the video on Bazaar’s site.) Inside, Drew talks about her current career and being a mom, and also about her level of fame, which she’s asked about in a roundabout way. She sounds self aware to me, like she knows she’s not a big deal anymore and she’s fine with that.
Drew Barrymore on what ?hot? means to her:
?Hot is a state of mind. It?s an energy. You?re hot when you?re motivated. It means you want it and you?re going after it. Hot isn?t about being on the A-list of having a hot body. It?s literally people who are on fire. Like Lena Dunham is on fire. Amy Schumer. Louis C.K. I think their brands of comedy and observational life stuff are some of the coolest I?ve seen in so many years.?
On whether she perceives herself as ?hot? right now:
?I don?t think I?m hot right now necessarily, because I have all my irons in a bunch of different fires. I?m writing. I?m doing makeup. I?m doing design. I?m expanding Flower into different categories. I think it?s a huge mistake to think you have to burn bright for your whole life. You cannot sustain it. It?s exhausting, and it?s not very realistic.?
On her experience with Hollywood heat in all its iterations:
?It?s been at different intervals: E.T. was a really exciting time; when I was doing The Wedding Singer and starting Flower Films; making Never Been Kissed and Charlie?s Angels; when I directed Whip It and did Grey Gardens in the same year. Those were times when I really pushed myself and I didn?t care about my sleep, my health. I didn?t have relationships or children that would be a priority over my work.?
[From Bazaar]
The thing that I appreciate about Drew is that she’s still hustling but she’s not always in our faces. She’s not doing a lot of pap walks or going to every opening, nor is she trying to convince us to eat/dress/exercise/meditate her way. Drew is just trudging along as she’s always done. Sure she’s part of a Hollywood legacy but she’s not saying she did it all on her own, she seems to recognize her situation for what it is. I like her, I can’t help it. She’s a bit boring but I think we need more celebrities like that, or at least we need to appreciate the ones we have.

| Drew Barrymore covers InStyle: 'I am who I am and I just don't have a bikini body' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Drew Barrymore covers the upcoming issue of InStyle. Drew favors too-young pastel makeup with a bright lip, and she’s usually styled like that on the red carpet and in ads for her Flower makeup line. I don’t think that look suits her, so it’s nice to see her in some muted browns with a darker lip on InStyle. She looks much prettier and more mysterious somehow.
Drew is promoting her new book, Wildflower, which is a series of essays written for her two daughters, Olive, 3, and Frankie, one and a half. She’s also starring in Miss You Already with Toni Collette, which opens November 3. In InStyle, Drew talks about body image and about talking to her daughters about her wild past. Drew can come across as an oversharing earth mother, but I liked what she had to say here. It sounds like she’s mellowed lately.
First and most important to Barrymore is to know thyself, and to then have a sense of humor about thyself. ?I am who I am and I just don?t have a bikini body,? she says. ?I don?t even have a one-piece body anymore! But I am loving the long rash guard, board-shorts look.?
Though it?s not always easy to be so laid-back about it. ?I?ve beaten myself up about not being a certain thing. If someone says, ?Let?s go to the beach today,? my first thought is, ?F??, what am I going to wear?? I remember when Amy Schumer was on Ellen, she called her midsection a ?lava lamp.? I thought, That was perfect! That?s what I?ve been trying to say. But then I saw her in Trainwreck, and she looked so good in a tiny bra and short skirt. I was like, ?No, you don?t have a lava lamp.??
She is more focused these days on passing on what she?s learned from her rollercoaster childhood. ?I?m not going to pretend to my daughters that I?m pure as the driven snow? The best I can do is open up my heart to them. That?s soul-baring enough,? she explains. ?Making bad decisions doesn?t make you a bad person. It is how you learn to make better choices.?
And one better choice she intends to make? Not embarrassing her kids with her new book of personal essays, Wildflower, which she calls ?a love letter? to her daughters. ?My own mother, Jaid, wrote a book on sex, and it was the most mortifying feeling in the world,? she says. ?So I know how a child feels when their parents put themselves out there too much, and I will never do that to my daughters. There are some things about your parents you just don?t need to know.?
[From People]
Drew’s second child is only a year and a half old, but in her business she’s expected to snap back immediately. She’s previously said that weight loss is difficult for her and that “I?m having to work my ass off until I even think about getting it off,” which is refreshing to hear. So many Hollywood mothers act like it’s simple and like they’re losing weight just running after their kids. Drew will tell you that it’s hard and that she’s not comfortable wearing a bikini yet.

| Drew Barrymore on why she isn't acting as much: 'my phone isn't ringing off the hook' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Drew Barrymore covers the February issue of More Magazine. She’s promoting her cosmetics line, Flower Beauty, which is available at Walmart. I find the advertising and colors for the line very garish, like a young girl getting into makeup for the first time. (Example: Drew on the website with blue eyeshadow from lid to brow, red-orange lipstick and minimal mascara.) That’s Drew’s style though, and she’s probably making bank for it. She’s also been able to carve out a separate niche for herself, one that gives her more time for her family while expanding her empire. So many actresses are putting out branded products, and Drew has a wine line too. (Update: she also has a production company, Flower Films, which has about four films in development. From what I can find, Drew is not listed to star in any of those, but they only have preliminary information up on IMDB.)
Drew isn’t a big box office draw anymore, (I think that Adam Sandler kind of dragged her down with him although he’s inexplicably getting more gigs than she is) and she’ll tell you about it. She will also tell you that her childhood sucked. Here’s some of Drew’s interview with More Magazine, with more at the source and in their February issue.
On the idea of women having it all:
?I?ll get in trouble for it, but I?ll say it anyway: Women can?t do it all. Quantum physics actually says you can?t do it all. Like, you can?t do everything at every minute of every day; it?s actually not mathematically, molecularly plausible. [However,] I do think that women can do everything they want to do, especially if they work hard enough at it. I don?t believe anything comes easy. You have to earn everything in life.?
On her work-life balance:
?I love the beauty industry because even on a workday I can wake up with my kids, go to work, come home, bedtime?there?s a normal life there. And it?s exciting when you have to go on a business trip, as opposed to a film where you?re gone for months. I can?t do that right now. As you add more onto your plate, particularly family, things have to fall off, or you won?t be a good parent.?
On why she stepped back from her acting career:
?Because the hours are too crazy [and] my phone isn?t ringing off the hook with great parts.? But she filmed the upcoming drama Miss You Already with Toni Collette because ?Toni us one of the greatest actresses.?
On her childhood:
?I was a happy, blithering idiot. I don?t know how to feel differently about it because I don?t know what another life would be like, so it?s hard to pretend or imagine or wish that it was different because it isn?t. Even if I was a bad girl at moments here and there, I was never a bad person.?
On being a good mother:
?I didn?t really have parents, you know? And therefore the kind of parent I will be is a good, present parent. In a way, maybe that was a detriment to my youth, but it?ll be the biggest asset to my adulthood.?
On her relationship with her mother:
?[I] look after her. That is how I feel good about [our relationship].?
[From More Magazine]
Drew has said similar things in the past about women not being able to “do it all” and she’s talked about her lousy childhood too. These are her talking points, and I still find them interesting. She’s trying to say that we can’t “do it all” in the literal sense or something now. I think she got some mild backlash for that quote before so she’s over-explaining with all that “not molecularly plausible” nonsense. I like that Drew is admitting she’s not getting a lot of roles and isn’t framing her career like she’s chosen to run a cosmetics line instead of be a big movie star. It sucks that she’s kind of aged out of the romcom parts (not that it’s fair) while Adam Sandler keeps getting chances, though. I like her and will watch her on the big screen as long as her movies are decent.
Here are some more photos that More sent us from their feature with Drew. I really like Drew with darker hair. She was ombre blonde for a while and I think the dark color suits her better. She’s well styled here too, much better than she is in her Flower Beauty ads.

She loves being a mom, and Drew Barrymore celebrated the release of her first fragrance Cherished with a special mother-daughter snapshot via Instagram.
The ?50 First Dates? star captioned the post, "I rely on a few different perfumes to carry me through the day. This is the image for our first scent CHERISHED!"
"It was inspired by the moments with my daughter and the beautiful chaos that is 'home'. This was so personal for me but I believe there should be a fragrance for every mood."
Back in August, Drew announced a trio of scents to be added to her Flower beauty line- "I'm not the same person every day and I don't wear the same thing every day. And I celebrate that about myself."
?I'm inconsistent, but there are things that I like. I loved the idea of there being someone I feel in one moment and something I feel on a different day."

She?s been in the film industry since the early 1980s, and Drew Barrymore says it?s time to cut back on career in favor of raising her adorable kiddos.
During her interview on ?Today? this morning (November 7), the ?50 First Dates? actress outlined her plan for scaling things down.
?I think I will act less and less. It?s hard to be present when you wake up before them and come home after they?ve gone to bed. That?s just not the way I want to have this journey with my kids at this point in their life. But maybe when they?re older, I will feel differently. But at this point, I think it has to be few and far between.?
?I?m not organized in my life. I lose everything and I?m a complete disaster. With my kids, I really kind of don?t accept that from myself because I think kids learn from example of the way you live your life? I had a very untraditional upbringing, so I looked at it from afar and just thought, ?Well that?s the exact opposite of how I?d want to raise my kids.??

| Drew Barrymore gives birth to second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Drew Barrymore gave birth yesterday, Tuesday the 22nd. Were you expecting her to give birth this quickly? I wasn?t. It feels like she just announced her second pregnancy a few months ago and she only had her second baby shower last week or something. But she was further along than I was thinking, and now Drew Barrymore is a mother of two little girls. Her newborn daughter already has a name too: Frankie Barrymore Kopelman, who joins big sister Olive Barrymore Kopelman (age: one and a half).
Drew Barrymore?s own heart just got a little bigger: her baby girl is here! The actress and star of the upcoming comedy, Blended, 39, and her husband, art advisor Will Kopelman, 36, welcomed their second child on Tuesday, April 22, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
?Happy to announce that today we are the proud parents of our second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman,? the couple tell PEOPLE in a statement. ?Olive has a new little sister, and everyone is healthy and happy!?
After keeping much of her pregnancy with their firstborn, now 19 months, under wraps, Barrymore decided to take a different approach following her November announcement that she was expecting a second child.
?Last time I never commented on it and people just stalked me the entire time. So yes, it?s happening, it?s true. I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible,? the Find It in Everything author told PEOPLE.
The mom-to-be ? who confirmed in December that she was expecting another girl ? stayed true to her heart-themed style through much of the awards season, but insisted pregnancy wasn?t the time to strive for perfection. ?You?re not supposed to look perfect while you?re making babies. Making babies is the perfection,? she told Women?s Health.
But perhaps most exciting? Adding another daughter to the family. ?I?m relieved I?m having another girl. I have everything I need. It?s all about hand-me-downs and room sharing and all that stuff,? she told PEOPLE in February. ?I?m pretty psyched about that!?
[From People]
So, thoughts on the name? I like it. It feels authentic to Drew, and I personally like the trend of giving girls nickname-y boy names like Frankie, Charlie, Remy, etc. Will Frankie B. Kopelman be able to have a career as a lawyer or a senator? Sure. The name isn?t too weird to pass the Supreme Court Test, although Frances Kopelman would have been better, and then Frankie could have just been the nickname. Anyway, congrats to Drew and Will! I hope everybody is happy and healthy. And I hope that, much like Jessica Simpson did after doing two babies in quick succession, Drew takes a break before getting knocked up again.

Taking care of some weekend errands, Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman did some retail therapy in West Hollywood on Sunday (March 9).
The seven-months-pregnant ?Never Been Kissed? toted her massive baby bump beneath a black getup with colorful microdots as she chatted with her handsome husband during their outing.
This time around, Drew says her pregnancy cravings have been steering her towards a hot sizzling wok.
''I mean, other than everything? Chinese food, All I want is pan fried noodles with that gelatinous sauce. You swell up like a puffer fish afterward, but they're so good!''
And it sounds like 17-month-old Olive is ready to be a big sister- ''She points at my stomach and she goes, 'baby.? She's really smart.''
