Unbelievable but true: Christina Aguilera and her husband for five years, music executive Jordan Bratman are ready to end up their marriage.
“Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever”, the singer told People in a statement on Tuesday, October 12. The couple who wed n November 19, 2005, are parents to 2-year-old son Max Liron Bratman.
“Yes they are separated. Right now they’re just trying to figure things out. There are no divorce proceedings at this point”, one source broke the news before the singer’s statement. “They were very much in love. But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife”, another source told UsMagazine.com.
It looks like this summer, Christina tried to “rekindle their relationship”, by proposing an “August trip to Italy” “but it didn’t help”. Aguilera and Bratman are said have been living apart “for a few months” and “they will see how that goes”.

Word of their separation hit the wire earlier today (October 12), and Christina Aguilera recently released a statement regarding her split from Jordan Bratman.
After five years of marriage, the ?Stronger? singer told People magazine, ?Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.?
Aguilera and Bratman wed back in November 2005 and have their one son who was born in January 2008.
Christina?s statement comes just hours after a source close to the couple announced, ?Yes they are separated. Right now they're just trying to figure things out. There are no divorce proceedings at this point."

There’s just something in the water today, boys and girls — Christina Aguilera is the latest Hollywood celebrity to call it quits on her marriage of five years. Us Magazine says:
A source close to Aguilera tells Us the couple ?have been separated for a few months.?
And though Aguilera and Bratman have not yet decided whether to divorce, the source reveals, ?they are now living apart, and they will see how that goes.?
What went wrong?
?They were very much in love,? explains the insider. ?But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.?
I’m not sure when Christina finally realized that Jordan Bratman looked like the retarded lovechild of J. Wellington Wimpy and Bluto from Popeye, but I’m sure that didn’t help any. That’s just pouring gasoline on the ugly fire.

All dolled up in her signature red lipstick, Christina Aguilera got a helping hand from security while escorted out of a business meeting in Beverly Hills, California on Thursday (October 7).
Hitting the Beverly Wilshire Hotel exit, the 29-year-old singer/actress also donned a pair of big hoop earrings to go along with her see-through blouse and tight black leggings.
The sighting comes as Miss Aguilera gears up for the November 24th release of her new movie "Burlesque".
Speaking of which, Christina's co-star Cher took to Twitter today to send some love to the "Genie In A Bottle" babe.
She said, "Guess all roads lead to Burlesque right now ! Was watching pieces last nite ! Jesus r Xtinas numbers GREAT."
Cher later added, "people will b pleasantly surprised she's really GOOD in this film ! ME , I'm just ME !"

The ?Ain?t No Other Man? songstress and her doting hubby headed over to Matsuhisa for a delicious meal before scurrying off into the night.
And as she walked, Christina looked to be hiding her stomach from the view of the paparazzi, sparking rumors that she may be pregnant with a sibling for her son Max.
Over the weekend, Ms. Aguilera joined gal pals Nicole Richie and Samantha Ronson for Nicole?s bachelorette celebrations in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The ?Ain?t No Other Man? songstress gave the paparazzi plenty of attitude as she posed on the red carpet with collaborator Linda Perry at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Ms. Aguilera looked amazing in a sassy strapless black dress with a thick black belt and a pair of classic black heels.
Meanwhile, Miss Cavallari was doing her own thing in a flirty silver party dress with black accents and black peep-toe heels.

Joined by her husband Jordan Bratman and son Max, the ?Ain?t No Other Man? songstress looked lovely in a grey cardigan, white top, and dark leggings.
Once finished with their meal at the 3 Square Caf & Bakery, Christina and Co. hopped into their red Ferrari sports car and sped off.
And despite the massive swarm of shutterbugs, Mr. Bratman handled the fine example of Italian automotive engineering like a seasoned pro.

Obviously liking what they saw during a recent dealership visit, Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman took a cruise in their new ride in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday afternoon (September 4).
The "Burlesque" beauty sat shotgun as her man helmed the wheel of a head-turning candy apple red Ferrari sports car for the Labor Day weekend outing.
Currently enjoying time off before "Burlesque" hits theaters on November 24th, Christina recently gave an interview about family life for the October issue of Cosmopolitan UK.
She tells, "Marriage unites you and makes you official, but it didn't change our relationship. All the things like wanting to work hard and play hard -- they were always important to us. We've been married for five years now, and I think the secret is in always keeping it interesting. You have to make time for yourselves."
As for making sure to express her continual love for Bratman, Aguilera said, "I leave little lipstick marks on the bathroom mirror for when he wakes up, and little notes written in lipstick on the mirror and in the shower. Little notes, little cards, little 'I love yous' here and there, just to keep things fun and alive."
Also dishing about the love of her life, son Max, the 29-year-old tells, "Having Max has brought us closer together. [Jordan] changed the first nappy while I was in bed recovering from my C-section -- and he's been so hands-on ever since. When I see them together it makes my heart sing and melt at the same time."
