Her brand new album Bionic releases today (June 8) and Christina Aguilera dropped by the ?Today? show to put on a stellar show for their Summer Concert Series.
Sporting a white t-shirt with red lips paired with a leather-dominated black ensemble, the ?Ain?t No Other Man? songstress looked to be in fine form as she took the stage - proving that she hasn?t lost one ounce of her massive singing prowess during the 30-minute performance.
Christina has been taking a break from her music career in recent years to focus on her family, including her son Max and husband Jordan.
On Sunday night, Ms. Aguilera gave quite a showing at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, singing a three-song medley for the folks at the Gibson Amphitheatre.

Having a career and a child can be quite the balancing act, but Christina Aguilera sounds like she?s got it down.
The ?Bionic? singer opened up to People magazine at Sunday?s MTV Movie Awards, telling, ?The toughest part is the schedule ? balancing that between being a mommy and being able to still concentrate and focus on the work.?
Although it can be arduous, Aguilera says she?ll ?go and tuck my son in at night and sing him to sleep [with] a lullaby, and then I go in the studio and sing. It?s definitely a challenge and a balancing act, but one that I take on. I wouldn?t have it any other way.?
Of raising 2-year-old son, Max, Christina tells, ?I really like to let him be creative and give him the freedom to really have fun,? she says.

Reclaiming her place among the hottest female performers, Christina Aguilera gave a killer showing at the MTV Movie Awards last night (June 6).
The ?Come on Over Baby? songstress treated the crowd at the Gibson Amphitheatre to a three-song medley as a sign of things to come from her new album.
Belting her heart out, Christina sang ?Bionic,? ?Woohoo,? and ?Not Myself Tonight? all while surrounded by a bevy of backup dancers.
And at the end of the high-energy run, Ms. Aguilera showed off a blinking heart cleverly positioned overtop her lady parts.

She?s one of the greatest singers of her time, and Christina Aguilera was spotted arriving at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California for the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (June 6).
Donning an eye-popping gown, the beautiful blonde looked amazing as she meandered down the buzzing red carpet.
Sure to be quite the action-packed night, the MTV Movie Awards are being hosted by "Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari.
Ms Aguilera is set to perform at the live show along with Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg. Footage from the forthcoming "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? will also be featured and some of the presenters include Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and Robert Pattinson.

Christina Aguilera announced yesterday that she had canceled the summer tour for her new album Colonic Bionic to focus on her acting career. Live Nation released the following statement:
Christina Aguilera’s summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, ‘Burlesque,’ and to the promotion of her new album, ‘Bionic.’ The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn’t possible.
But of course, that’s not the real reason it’s been “postponed.” The Daily Mail says
There has been speculation that the disappointing response to Aguilera’s new album and poor sales of concert tickets are the real reason for the cancellation.
Despite attempting to promote the new record by posing naked for the cover of GQ magazine and releasing a racy video for single Not Myself Tonight, Bionic only reached a disappointing number 23 on the U.S. album charts last month.
The reported poor sales will undoubtedly be a blow to Aguilera, who had attempted to reinvent herself for the new release. ‘Bionic’ is her first album since she took time off to have her son in 2008.
It’s been two years since she’s been on the radio? Really? Huh. I can honestly say I didn’t realize it’d been that long. It’s not like there was a conspicuous absence of Top Forty puke on the airwaves. The New Babylonian machine makes sure to maintain the ranks — one shitty pop artist is replaced by another shitty pop artist before you even noticed the first one went missing. Time to face facts, Xtina: you’re totally expendable. Just like the Alaskan coastline and West Virginia coal miners.

Enjoying some rare downtime, Christina Aguilera was seen making her rounds in Beverly Hills, California yesterday (May 18).
The ?Not Myself Tonight? songstress took in the fresh air and sunshine, donning a black jacket, black top, and distressed jeans.
And though there?s plenty of speculation of a feud, Christina says there?s no bad blood between herself and Lady GaGa.
"It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words cannot be misconstrued to sell someone else's story. I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business."
"I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that.?

Hello, Lady Gaga. Oh, wait. This is Christina Aguilera, being completely original, y?all. She?s the June cover girl for Out Magazine, and she?s still selling her completely original album and style to the max. Honestly, I only skimmed a few paragraphs of the full interview (full piece is here) because Christina has been annoying me so much lately. I?m taking it on faith that Out Magazine pulled the best quotes from the piece - including Christina?s absolutely shocking admissions that she likes kissing girls (ZOMG!) but still, Xtina admits: ?I love dick.? Doesn?t that sound familiar? CB and I were trying to figure out who said that recently, and we think it?s Gaga.
Christina Aguilera first caught the public?s ear with the 1999 pop hit ?Genie in a Bottle.? This and her next single, ?What a Girl Wants,? made her an instant star, and her self-titled debut album went all the way to sextuple platinum. With her vocal range, however, she had so much more to give. Her follow-up album, Stripped, featuring the single ?Beautiful,? really set her free. ?On that first album, I was creatively stifled,? Aguilera told Out?s (www.out.com) Joshua David Stein. ?On Stripped I was like, I don?t give a f-ck.?
Not only did she find herself with Stripped, but Aguilera also knows herself and is not afraid to be open about it. Her upcoming album, Bionic, features the single ?Not Myself Tonight,? which includes the line ?I?m kissing all the boys and all the girls.? Aguilera explains, ?I don?t get to kiss all the girls and the boys, but my husband knows that I get into girls. I think it?s fun to be open and play.?
Nevertheless, Aguilera knows what this girl wants. ?I don?t think I could ever really be with a woman because that?s a lot of?? Aguilera pauses. ?Yeah, there?s a lot of estrogen and I?m a lot to deal with when it?s that time of the month, so I can?t imagine it times two.? She then shakes her head and adds, ?And you know, I love dick. To be honest, that I cannot live without.?
She may not ever be with a woman, but make no mistake, she has the full support of her gay cadre. Aguilera?s friend and collaborator Sia explains, ?I feel like Christina?s probably supporting the majority of the lesbian scene in Los Angeles because she really only works with gaylords, like her dog walker, her personal trainer, her cowriters.? As Stein puts it, ?Bisexual or not, Aguilera is queer in the word?s most literal sense.?

Since when did ?gaylords? become the cutesy nickname for ?my gay friends?? Eh. And I hate when girls are like ?Oh, I couldn?t be a lesbian because I know what girls are like once a month, haha.? First of all, you probably couldn?t be with a woman because you?re not gay or bisexual. Second of all? ugh. I lost my head of steam. It?s not worth it. I think Xtina?s album will crash and burn, and hopefully she?ll go away for a little while.
