Still situated on the east coast, Christina Aguilera and boyfriend Matthew Rutler were spotted stepping out in Midtown Manhattan on Monday night (May 9).
The cute couple lovingly held hands as they exited their posh hotel while heading out to grab a bite to eat and take in the Big Apple nightlife.
The outing comes just ahead of an all-new episode of Christina's show "The Voice" - which airs Tuesday (May 10) at 10p.m. EST on NBC.
Just-released video clips offer a glimpse of the action as Cee Lo Green team members Niki Dawson and Vicci Martinez go head-to-head in a sing-off of Pink's "Less Than Perfect."
After the epic elimination, Miss Aguilera had this to say, "Wow! That was a battle!" while Adam Levine showed empathy for Green's difficult send-home decision, telling, "You are totally screwed, bro!"
Another sneak peek shows Tarralyn and Frenchie prepare to battle each other with their coach Christina and guest advisor Sia.

I saw the first episode of The Voice last week, and if anyone needs a “poker face,” it’s Christina Aguilera. She regularly makes expressions to show her disappointment when a contestant is revealed as less than svelte or somehow non-traditional looking. She generally comes across as a superficial person, and seems much less nurturing than the other judges, particularly Blake Shelton. (Shelton has apologized for his anti-gay remarks on Twitter, which he explains were a rewrite of a Shania Twain song.)
As part of the show, the judges pick a team of singers (after the “blind” auditions) and coach them to compete with other teams. It sounds like it was during one of the mentoring sessions that Christina went off on Lady Gaga in a scene that had to be cut from the show.
Christina was unable to contain her feelings [about Lady Gaga] during a recent taping of “The Voice” - and began blatantly bragging about how much more entertaining she is than Gaga.
“Christina told a contestant she was 10 times better than Gaga, said her rival was annoying - and expressed her amazement that Gaga ever got famous,” disclosed a set insider.
“It caused quite a scene, and producers insisted on reshooting the segment.”
Christina has had other shocking outbursts, and she has become extremely unpopular with show staffers. One describes her as “a bitter person with an ax to grind about everything,” adding that the singer’s cursing requires that her on-camera comments be heavily edited.
“She’s like a bitter old woman trapped in a 30 year-old’s body!” said the insider.

I believe this. Back in 2009, someone asked Christina if she thought Lady Gaga was copying her, and she denied knowing who Gaga was in an hilariously bitchy way. “I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don?t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn?t sure. I really don?t spend any time on the Internet.” Lady Gaga in turn called the comparisons to Aguilera flattering and said she should send her flowers.
Two years later and Gaga is all over the place with hit singles, touring and raking in the dough while Aguilera’s last CD was a big flop and she’s forgetting the words to the National Anthem. I could see Aguilera going off on Gaga. It’s just a shame that producers decided to cut those scenes, because the show could have received even more buzz. I’m surprised we haven’t heard more stories about how Christina is drunk and/or generally wreaking havoc behind the scenes.

Making the most of her evening, Christina Aguilera was spotted out and about in New York City last night (May 1).
Joined by her boyfriend Matthew Rutler, the ?Genie in a Bottle? songstress arrived at her luxury hotel in Manhattan to find shutterbugs waiting for her.
Earlier in the night, Christina and Matt headed out to attend the second annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
The event raised money for the FFAWN Scholarship Fund, which provides four-year scholarships for women to go to college.

Her new television show ?The Voice? makes its 2-hour premiere tonight, and last night (April 25) Christina Aguilera was over at ?The Tonight Show? doing some promotion.
The ?Lady Marmalade? songstress looked super sexy in a leggy little black dress as she discussed her crazy life with Jay Leno.
Among the topics of conversation were her Easter Egg-dying adventure with her three-year-old son Max over the weekend.
Christina also noted that she really enjoyed being inducted into the Gay Walk of Fame at The Abbey in West Hollywood earlier this month.

Christina Aguilera has that new singing competition reality show The Voice premiering tonight, and I’m sort-of looking forward to seeing it. The concept of a blind audition is interesting, and if they try to make it even somewhat more fast-paced that neverending Idol it could be fun. Plus, it’s hard to find shows I can watch with my six year-old that aren’t just for kids. I think that explains the popularity of Dancing With The Stars more than anything else.
Anyway as part of her new gig Christina has to talk about the fact that she’s been too drunk on several occasions to remember the words to the National Anthem, to walk properly, or to remember where she lives. She’s previously called her very public issues with drunkenness “hiccups” and explained that she just went through “a really hard divorce.” In an appearance on the Ellen show today, Christina expands on that theme. She doesn’t say that there’s no excuse for forgetting the lyrics during the most important US sporting event of the year to a song that celebrates national pride, she doesn’t say she’s sorry and embarrassed, she just offers a bunch of excuses and justifications as is typical for her.
Ellen: I saw you sing (at the Super Bowl)
Christina: That’s right, I did sing at the Super bowl.
Ellen: I saw it and didn’t see anything. Then it was this huge thing…then I felt stupid that maybe I didn’t know the lyrics.
Christina: I had been singing that song my entire life. I was the youngest anthem singer in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I sang for the “Steelers” when I was this big (as a child.)
Ellen: How old were you?
Christina: I think 7 or 8 years old. I would sing for them. I think had a moment where I was at the “Super bowl” at 30 years old. I took in the moment a little bit too much. Shoot me for appreciating the moment but here I am at the “Super bowl”…singing for a team and in front of the world. And remembering what it was like to be that young and look where I made it now. And then it was like, oh. That night I knew, I just made myself a Trivial Pursuit question…In 2011 what female singer, ya know, flubbed the lyrics. It’s just insane. But I have a really good laugh about it and you get over things. You get back up again and you just prove to yourself and to everyone you that much stronger.

It’s all about Christina and how she feels and how she’s been labeled and is recovering from that after screwing up. We’re all judging her (read this earlier interview, she said people were judging) for being overwhelmed with national pride (in the form of some Jack Daniels) when she was just trying to do her job that she gets paid seven figures for. Well now Christina has another job to laugh about if (when) she shows up too blitzed to do it properly.
Also, would it kill her to cover up a little? She’s wearing lingerie in public again.

Out on the promotional circuit for her soon to debut show, Christina Aguilera dropped by the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" to tape an episode airing on Tuesday, April 26th.
Clad in a black Zac Posen ensemble, the "Beautiful" singer spent much of her visit talking about her infamous National Anthem snafu at this year's Super Bowl in Dallas, Texas.
Miss Aguilera dished, "I think had a moment where I was at the Super Bowl at 30 years old. I took in the moment a little bit too much. Shoot me for appreciating the moment but here I am at the Super Bowl, singing for a team and in front of the world. And remembering what it was like to be that young and look where I made it now. And then it was like, oh."
The 30-year-old continued, ?That night I knew, I just made myself a Trivial Pursuit question - in 2011 what female singer, ya know, flubbed the lyrics. It?s just insane. But I have a really good laugh about it and you get over things. You get back up again and you just prove to yourself and to everyone you that much stronger."
Making the "Ellen" stop to promote her new show, "The Voice," Christina also said when asked of her romantic doings with Matthew Rutler, ?There is someone very lovely in my life. Yes.?
