With the previous game going so well for the hometown team, the Los Angeles Lakers have nabbed Christina Aguilera to sing "The Star Spangled Banner" at the NBA Finals Game 7 later tonight (June 17).
While it's unusual to use the same performer in back-to-back contests, the Lakers seem to be hoping that the "Bionic" babe is their good luck charm as they take on the Boston Celtics in a do-or-die matchup.
Meanwhile, Miss Aguilera is certainly happy to get the exposure - as her new album didn't fare as well as expected following its recent release.
Explaining why the sales of "Bionic" are slow, Entertainment Weekly's Leah Greenblatt told MTV News, "I don't know if it's because she went away for a while, or because she tried to do something different with this project, but it feels a little crass and calculated. From her choice of collaborators [The-Dream, Polow Da Don, Le Tigre] to her first single, it doesn't feel fully organic. What's missing so much with her this time out is that, while she can still sing the crap out of her songs, you don't get a sense of vulnerability, or even really know who she is."

She?s always up for a high-profile performance, and Christina Aguilera sang the National Anthem at last night?s NBA Finals game.
The ?Ain?t No Other Man? songstress looked intense as she strolled out onto the court at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and belted out the patriotic tune.
And of course, Christina was looking hot, sporting a sexy little black dress with leopard print heels and plenty of antique jewelry.

Getting some much needed relaxation after a week of Bionic promotional efforts, Christina Aguilera was spotted poolside in Miami Beach on Saturday (June 12).
The "Ain't No Other Man" singer looked casual cute in a blue Maxi dress, fedora hat and her penchant red lipstick as she mingled with friends and sipped on a few drinks.
The trip to Florida comes as Miss Aguilera spent the previous evening celebrating celebrity stylist Simone Harouche?s bachelorette party at Liv nightclub in the Fontainebleau Hotel.

Christina Aguilera is woman, hear her roar. She calls her new album ‘Bionic’ for its often futuristic sound, but also because she feels women today have to be almost superhuman to get everything done.
“I always am in support of strong women and trying to encourage them to not be ashamed of anything to do with their sexuality or labels and all that crap that has been put upon us for centuries now,” ‘Bionic’ taps into all women in a sense that we are all mothers, we give birth, we do things that are not even remotely expected from a man, and we get labels that aren’t given to men for doing the same exact thing.”

Continuing her celebration of her new album Bionic, Christina Aguilera held a release party at the New York City hotspot AVENUE last night (June 9).
The ?Ain?t No Other Man? songstress looked amazing in an all-black ensemble with Stephen Webster jewelry as she hung out behind the deejay booth.
And it was quite the star-studded affair, with guests like Serena Williams, Selita Ebanks, and Kim Kardashian all in attendance.
Christina has been working overtime to promote her new album, performing on the ?Today? show and ?The Early Show? this week.
