Here is Kate Winslet posing in lingerie for Esquire UK. For a mother of 3, she doesn’t look bad. Obviously, these pics are Photoshopped and chances are she looks nothing like this, but who cares, I don’t think there’s a dude out there who’d actually rub one out to these boring pics. […]

Kate Winslet covers the latest edition of net-a-porter.com?s The Edit. The shoot is much better than Winslet?s editorial with WSJ. Magazine, let?s just say that. Anyway, Winslet has barely even started promoting Steve Jobs and I?m already exhausted with one particular story she?s telling about how she got the role of Joanna Hoffman, Jobs? right-hand lady. To hear Winslet tell it, everything was stacked against her! She was too blonde, too British, too romantic to play a hard-edged Polish-American woman who, if we?re being honest, probably should have been played by Lizzy Caplan. So Winslet fought The Man and bought a wig and BAM, an Oscar-winning actress convinced some friends to hire her. Sure. Here?s more from The Edit:
No one thought she was right for the role in Steve Jobs: ?They don?t think I?m right for this part. I just wasn?t entering their radar. Which is really OK. Girl doesn?t have an ego. Girl. Doesn?t. Have. An. Ego. So Girl turns round to Husband and says, ?Darling husband ? this is lovely Ned ? while I?m at work tomorrow please go to a wig shop, and it doesn?t matter how s**t they are, just get me three brown wigs.? The best way to be is to have absolutely no ego. Just go for it. I got myself a job that I really bloody wanted. This was: ?I ain?t got nothing to lose, f**k it, just send the photo.? And it was lovely to be reminded of that feeling of early auditions, waiting for the phone to ring.?
The idea that she?s a sex symbol: ?Are. You. Mad? No! I?ve had three children. The idea is incredibly flattering, but that?s the [film] version of me. The real me? I?m certainly not against it, but it?s something I find more amusing than a triumph.?
Aging, confidence: ?You can get away with a lot more in your twenties. You can get away with having one too many vodka tonics, and you can wake up in the morning and not have a puffy face. I couldn?t go out now and get rip-roaring drunk; I?d take a week to recover and I value my life too much. Plus, I have children. [But] I?m baffled that anyone might not think women get more beautiful as they get older. Confidence comes with age, and looking beautiful comes from the confidence someone has in themselves.?
She tried therapy once: ?I tried therapy once and thought, ?Oh God, I could outsmart you, goodbye.? So I won?t bother with that again.?
Her experiences with Hollywood sexism: ?I?ve always had boundaries; I?ve never felt exploited? ? but she also admits she got ?very, very lucky. The first job I did [Heavenly Creatures, directed by Peter Jackson] was very prestigious, which helped me professionally but also in terms of how other people perceived my personal integrity. It made a huge difference; I walked right into luvvie central and was welcomed with open arms.?
Her advice to young actresses: ?They all seem to be doing OK. [Whispers] Some of them are a little bit thin [raises her voice again], but they all seem to be doing great. Shailene Woodley [her co-star in the Divergent films] ? whom I adore, respect, have a little bit of a girl crush on ? is an outstanding human being. She?s incredibly grounded, knows who she is and is doing great work, too.?
[From The Edit]
?I tried therapy once and thought, ?Oh God, I could outsmart you, goodbye.? So I won?t bother with that again.? I don?t get that? Therapy isn?t a competition to see who is smarter, the patient or the doctor. I mean? of all the reasons to not want to go into therapy, the whole idea that you could, what? Conceivably lie to your therapist and convince them of something untrue, thus ?outsmart? them, thus therapy is crap? Many people find talk therapy beneficial, probably because they don?t treat it like an episode of Jeopardy. I?ll take Self-absorbed Narcissism for $600, Alex.

| Kate Winslet & Liam Hemsworth are 'the same age' in 'The Dressmaker?: what' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth at the TIFF premiere of The Dressmaker on Monday night. Kate?s dress was Badgley Mischka and it was? okay. Her body looks great, I?ll say that, but I?m ambivalent on the dress. Now? I?ve gotten in trouble before for claiming that Kate has, at times, looked Botoxed to hell. During her last pregnancy, her face really softened and I sort of forgot about it. But nowadays? Um, I think she?s hitting the ?Tox again. There?s something about her brows and her forehead, it?s like the Nicole Kidman thing. Too tight? Not responding to the lower half of her face? Something like that.
Kate is currently 39 years old, soon to be 40 in October. Her costar and on-screen love interest is 25-year-old Liam ?The Hot One? Hemsworth. I really don?t care about the age difference as far as on-screen romances go, and I?ll admit to enjoying the idea of a nearly-40-year-old woman breaking off a piece of Young Hemsworth. The problem, perhaps, is that the story of The Dressmaker has the two actors playing characters that are supposed to be close in age. Um?? Seriously? Here are Kate and Liam discussing the film with Salon:
Winslet on whether the film is feminist: ?I think it?s quite dangerous to kind of label things in that way. The word feminism, being a feminist, they?re both strong profound statements that can speak huge volumes, and I?m not necessarily sure that I would apply that to this film, it?s just f–king cool that you?ve got this amazingly strong woman at the heart of this story and that she happens to get revenge at the end, it?s just super great.?
Hemsworth on playing Winslet?s love interest: ?It was something I was sort of worried about in the beginning. I felt like I was possibly too young to play this part because in this film we?re seen as the same age, around the same age? But onscreen ? Kate is such a beautiful woman and I have a beard in the film so I look quite a bit older, so I don?t think it?s an issue at all? She looks really young and I look weathered and old.?
Winslet on the age difference: ?Isn?t that great, he?s about five years old. It didn?t really occur to me actually at all, I really didn?t know how old he is, I truly didn?t. I think it?s all about how you feel alongside that person, I didn?t particularly feel as though he was particularly younger than me or I was older than him. I felt more experienced than him in terms of career and in terms of the amount of years that I?ve been doing it for in comparison to him, but I didn?t feel uncomfortable or that or awkward at all. I didn?t have a sort of fist-pumping moment of hey look at me with the younger actor. I didn?t feel like that. He was the right person for the role.?
[From Salon]
Again, if you want to make a movie where a 40-year-old lady has hot sex with a 25-year-old Hemsworth, more power to you, God bless and Godspeed. But of course people are going to have some issues with the whole idea that a 25 year old and a 39 year old are supposed to, magically, be THE SAME AGE within the film. It goes the other way too, of course: you can make Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper on-screen love interests, but don?t try to convince us that they?re the same age. It?s not happening.

| Kate Winslet tells her daughter: 'We?re so lucky we have a shape & we?re curvy' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?ve been wondering aloud about Kate Winslet?s very alleged tweaking for years now. For what it?s worth, Kate does look less ?worked on? these days, but I still believe she had some eye work done several years ago and it took a while to ?settle.? Why bring this up yet again? Because Winslet has returned to one of her favorite subjects: how natural she is and how difficult it was to grow up as a beautiful white woman in England. Don?t get me wrong, we all have difficulties and struggles. It?s just that Kate seems a bit heavy-handed with the ?woe is me? act. Kate appeared on Running Wild with Bear Grylls and here are some assorted quotes:
Body image: ?When I grew up, I never heard positive reinforcement about body image from any female in my life. I only heard negatives. That?s very damaging, because then you?re programmed as a young woman to immediately scrutinize yourself and how you look.?
What she tells her 14-year-old daughter Mia: ?I stand in front of the mirror and say to Mia, ?We are so lucky we have a shape. We?re so lucky we?re curvy. We?re so lucky we?ve got good bums.? And she?ll say, ?Mommy, I know, thank God.??
She was bullied: ?I was bullied at school. I was chubby, always had big feet the wrong shoes, bad hair. There was one girl who was particularly horrible to me. [Later], she was working on a beauty counter in a department store?I went up to her and said ‘I want to thank you for being such a bitch because it made me a lot stronger’.?
[From The Daily Mail]
Kate began acting when she was still a teenager and while she wasn?t rail-thin, she was perfectly beautiful with a very attractive figure and she was widely praised and applauded for both her beauty and her figure. So? I?m not really understanding how she can claim that she never got positive reinforcement from anyone when she was younger? I also feel like it?s the wrong message to send that ?curves are good/lucky/better? and everything else is bad/unlucky/worse. Shouldn?t the message be self-love and body acceptance no matter what, skinny or curvy or big-bootied or small-busted or whatever? To just own who you are without comparing and contrasting?

As one of her generation?s most respected and prolific actresses, Kate Winslet has been a major proponent in encouraging women to embrace their curves.
But during her upcoming appearance on ?Running Wild With Bear Grylls,? the ?Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? star revealed that accepting her physique wasn?t always easy.
Kate explained, ?When I grew up, I never heard positive reinforcement about body image from any female in my life. I only heard negatives. That?s very damaging, because then you?re programmed as a young woman to immediately scrutinize yourself and how you look.? Winslet also discussed how she?s raising her 14-year-old daughter Mia. ?I stand in front of the mirror and say to Mia, ?We are so lucky we have a shape. We?re so lucky we?re curvy. We?re so lucky we?ve got good bums.? And she?ll say, ?Mommy, I know, thank God.??

Here are some photos of Kate Winslet at the Wednesday night NYC premiere of A Little Chaos, the film reuniting her with her Sense & Sensibility costar and friend, Alan Rickman. It?s sort of creepy to think about the fact that Kate was only 19 years old when she was paired on-screen with Rickman, but that never stopped me from enjoying that version of S&S (mostly because Emma Thompson is everything). As you can see, Winslet rocked a nice LBD and a pair of Louboutins at the premiere.
As you can also see, Kate looks? good. Yes, I?ll say that. She?s 39 years old and she?s a beautiful woman. But the question I?ve been asking about Kate for years remains: is Kate tweaked? She doesn?t look like a Botox-monster in these photos and she hasn?t really looked Botoxy in years. And yet? I still maintain that several years ago, she had some eye work done and it really changed her face, and you can still sort of see it. Still, Winslet maintains that she would never, ever mess with her face.
The 39-year-old proved Wednesday at the N.Y.C. premiere of her film A Little Chaos that Botox isn?t the secret to her flawless skin.
?Watch my forehead,? she said to a reporter who asked about how she stays looking so youthful. She leaned in and pointed right between her eyebrows while scrunching her face. ?See that movement? I?m very proud of that movement.?
The mom of three told PEOPLE in an interview earlier this year that her signature look isn?t going anywhere.
?I have the kind of wrinkles that are here to stay now,? she said. ?You know, not just the ones where you wake up in the morning and you go, ?Oh, that will go away in two hours? time.? No, they?re there. That?s the way that it is.?
[From People]
Sure. At this point, I?m sort of tired of arguing about it. Either you see Kate?s wonky eye work or you don?t. She probably doesn?t Botox, and I?m not really seeing fillers either. But she had some kind of surgical maintenance a few years back.
Winslet also chatted with Showbiz 411 about her third husband, Ned RockNRoll, saying: ?He makes it all work. Whenever I?m too tired to do something, or I just throw up my hands and say, There?s no way we can get from here to San Francisco in three days, he calms me down and says Yes we can and does it. It?s quite remarkable.? Ned seems pretty happy to be the house-husband. Let’s hope third time’s a charm for Winslet.

OK, so I know that Kate Winslet isn’t exactly the hottest MILF in Hollywood, or the most in-demand celebrity for most of you dirty perverts. But you know what? The 39-year-old hottie consistently delivers the goods — just to be clear, I’m talking about cleavage, not her acting. Anyway, here she is at the UK […]

Never short on sex appeal, Kate Winslet was the center of attention at the Odeon Kensington in London last night (April 13) as she premiered her new film ?A Little Chaos.?
Slated to hit theaters here in the States on June 26th, the film is about a female landscape-gardener who is awarded the esteemed assignment of constructing the grand gardens at Versailles, a gilt-edged position that thrusts her into the center of the court of King Louis XIV.
Of the gig, Kate told press, "It's a very honest love story. It's set against a beautiful landscape, but it is a love story ? although rather an unlucky one, which always really floats my boat. It was lovely for me to play an English person. I haven't played an English person for quite a while."

| Kate Winslet: My husband Ned RockNRoll is 'like a superman' I?m so lucky' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kate Winslet covers the new issue of InStyle, likely to promote her role in Insurgent, the sequel to Divergent. Winslet famously took the role as a sort of throw-away, easy money for a few weeks of filming and barely any promotional work. Winslet didn?t even show up to last week?s premiere, that?s how little she cares! But she did do this InStyle interview, because? why not? This probably fulfilled the bulk of her promotional work. Some highlights from the cover story:
Her last pregnancy: ?I filmed A Little Chaos during my first trimester. I literally had sick bags hidden under my skirts ? I had boobs like a shelf ? it was bonkers. I go soft and doughy quite quickly when I?m pregnant.?
Ned RockNRoll as a father: ?Ned is really the most fantastic, hands-on daddy. He?s like a superman ? I?m so lucky. I can?t believe how lucky I am actually.?
She still claims she doesn?t Botox: ?The wrinkles are here and they?re here to stay now. You know, not just the ones where you wake up in the morning and you go, ‘Oh, that will go away in two hours’ time.’ No, they’re there. That’s the way that it is.”
Body confidence: ?I still dip in and out of feeling confident as much as the next person, but I can genuinely say, now more than ever, that I really do love the fact that I?m curvy. I?ve got boobs and a bum and a man who loves me. When you go through the sort of scrutiny that I have, you have to choose a means of dealing with that level of judgment. My way has always been to take a good look at how my career is going. The way I see it, I have an incredibly fulfilling, rewarding career that has nothing to do with the size of my arse.?
[From People Magazine]
I?m all for ?I?ve got boobs and a bum?? and that makes ME happy. I side-eye ?I?ve got boobs and a bum AND A MAN WHO LOVES ME.? Because the message is still that women are in competition for the precious resource of ?men? and perhaps if Kate didn?t have a man, she wouldn?t be so happy with her curves? Am I being too nitpicky? Eh. As long as I?m going there, I really don?t think Kate is ?lucky? to have Ned RockNRoll, he?s the one lucky to have her. She?s an Oscar-winning actress and a bombshell. Who is he? Why is he some prize? Because he?s Richard Branson?s nephew? Eh.
