Two seconds after Eva Longoria and Tony Parker?s marriage was over, Eva began hooking up with Eduardo Cruz, the little brother of Penelope Cruz. I?m not even joking about the timeline either – and yes, Tony Parker was probably screwing around on Eva while they were married, but I always thought it was fishy that Eva had her little boy-toy/jumpoff waiting in the wings as soon as her split announcement came out. Eva and Eduardo started living together within a few weeks/months, and there were even rumors that Eduardo proposed to Eva last fall – although she denied the rumors. Anyway, the whole extravaganza is over, at least according to Us Weekly. Eva and Eduardo are no more.
Finale time for Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz. After a year together, the Desperate Housewives actress, 36, and the singer (younger brother to Penelope Cruz), have called it quits, a source close to the couple confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.
The pair split within the last couple days, with Cruz returning to his native Madrid, Spain.
“It was a mutual decision,” the source explains to Us. “They are staying friends.”
And Longoria has just the thing to keep her distracted, the source adds. “She’s focusing on work and the end of Desperate Housewives.” Still, it appears she will be spending her 37th birthday, March 15, single.
After being introduced at a party by his sister Penelope, sexy singer Eduardo first stepped out with Longoria in February of last year on a yacht in Florida. Indeed, he became an enduring rebound romance for Longoria — whose painful late 2010 divorce from Tony Parker dominated headlines.
(Longoria was compelled to split from the San Antonio Spurs player after she discovered hundreds of inappropriate texts between him and another woman, their close pal Erin Barry.)
And Longoria was clearly smitten with her new man when he helped her celebrate her 36th birthday last March. “Everything in my life is great!” she told Us at the time. The couple made frequent PDA-packed appearances at A-list parties in L.A., Miami and elsewhere.
Still, after attending Kim Kardashian’s ill-fated August 2011 wedding, Longoria admitted she wasn’t sold on remarrying. “I don’t know,” she said. “Ask a woman after divorce if she’s gonna get married, you won’t get an honest answer.”

I would be very surprised if Eva Longoria was ?single? for very long. She?s one of Those Girls – she always has to be in a relationship. She doesn?t know how to be alone. She probably has a jumpoff from her jumpoff, you know? Some new boy-toy, waiting in the wings. I have two theories as to why Eduardo and Eva are over. One theory: Eva got tired of the boy-toy thing – it was fun for a while, but she simply got tired of the age difference and the difference in their levels of celebrity. Second theory: Penelope Cruz finally got the last laugh! According the tabloids, Penelope loathed ?fame-hungry, B-list? Eva, and Penelope desperately wanted her brother to dump Eva. Penelope wins!

After a year of dating, Eva Longoria and Penelop Cruz’s little brother, Eduardo, have called it quits. A source tells Us the decision was mutual and they’re staying friends. Eduardo has since returned to his home in Madrid, Spain. Meanwhile, Eva will celebrate her 37th birthday in a few weeks as a single woman. Unless my plan of making her my conjoined twin comes to fruition before then.

Stepping out for an exciting evening, Eva Longoria was spotted at Grauman?s Chinese Theater for the premiere of ?Underworld: Awakening? last night (January 19).
Joined by her boyfriend Eduardo Cruz, the ?Desperate Housewives? cougar looked to be very much in love as she strolled past the paparazzi.
And it seems Eva is ready to be completely rid of anything reminiscent of her marriage to Tony Parker.
Earlier this week, Ms. Longoria paid a visit to Dr. Tattoff, a famous tattoo removal specialist, to get her ?Nine? ink taken off of the back of her neck.

Eva Longoria has been loved up with Eduardo Cruz (Penelope?s brother) ever since Eva and Tony Parker split. Like, instantly, Tony moved out and Eva moved Eduardo in. It really happened that fast. So, Eduardo and Eva have been together for nearly a year, and Eduardo has managed to get Eva to be more low-key. That?s a shock to me - Eva is the Queen of In-Your-Face, Famewhore Celebrities. But even when there?s a potentially juicy rumor about Eva and Eduardo taking it to the next level, Eva denies the rumor and continues to keep it low-key. Shocking, right?
Well, it seems like Eva might be getting the 12-month-itch in her relationship with Eduardo, because Page Six reports that she might be eyeing yet another baller. This one?s a Laker, and his name is Matt Barnes (he?s the dude on the far left in the header photo).

The actress shared a flirty dinner with LA Lakers forward Matt Barnes in New York. ?Desperate Housewives? star Longoria, who divorced former San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker last November amid reports he shared racy texts with another woman, seemed ?very flirty? with Barnes as they dined with two friends at Il Mulino Thursday night.
Spies at the Greenwich Village restaurant said Longoria, who?s still dating Penelope Cruz?s younger brother, Eduardo, also dined with two of her close friends — stylist Robert Verdi and entrepreneur Loren Ridinger — but seemed very focused on Barnes.
A spy in the restaurant told us: ?There was definitely a spark between Eva and Matt. They weren?t seated next to each other, but you could tell there was something between them. There was a little hand-holding over the table and a lot of eye contact.?
This isn?t the first time Longoria has been out with Barnes. On Oct. 16, she posted a photo on Twitter of herself partying with Barnes and George Lopez at Club Nikki in Las Vegas.
Barnes announced last Monday that he had split with his fiance, Gloria Govan, the sultry star of ?Basketball Wives? with whom he has 3-year-old twins Carter Kelly and Isaiah Michael. The pair broke up after postponing their wedding and having their struggles well- documented by reality TV.
Barnes? statement read, ?We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.?
But Govan told gossiponthis.com that she and Barnes could get back together. ?We?re still friends, and we?re still working things out … I think anything is possible,? she said.
A rep for Longoria told us, ?Eva and Matt are friends and are working together doing charity work for Eva?s Padres Contra El Cncer. She was at the dinner amongst her other friends.?

So I looked through Eva?s Twitter, and I can?t find any recent references to Eduardo or a ?boyfriend?. I also did a Google search, and there haven?t been any sightings (that I can find) of Eva and Eduardo since early October either. Could it be that Eva and Eduardo have already split up? Would Eva be able to break up with somebody and NOT announce it? Anyway, I?m totally buying that Eva is in the market for a new athlete. She never learns.
UPDATE: She denied it! She tweeted: “First Jessica Simpson, now this. Once again, press gets it wrong, Matt barnes and I are not dating! We are doing a charity event together for Padres and Athletes vs Cancer.” Meh. I still think they’re probably boning.

Even high-rolling Hollywood stars must obey federal regulations, and Eva Longoria was spotted going through the full body scan at the TSA security checkpoint at LAX on Wednesday (October 26).
Clad in a mostly black ensemble, the pint-sized ?Desperate Housewives? star ditched her jacket and shoes, but kept her shades on when asked to head in for the scan.

Stepping out for a media appearance, Eva Longoria dropped by ?Jimmy Kimmel Live? in Los Angeles last night (September 27).
Sporting a teal chiffon dress, the ?Over Her Dead Body? actress signed autographs for fans and posed for pictures as she made her exit.
During her interview with Kimmel, Eva chatted about having dinner with President Barack Obama at a fundraiser the previous evening.
?It?s a special privilege to meet our Commander in Chief, and I?m a big Obama supporter no matter what he?s been through. He?s been beaten up these past couple of years.?
?He?s been very receptive for me, because I?m a big advocate for Latino issues. So he?s been a big listener and he?s done a lot of coalitions and a lot of roundtables regarding what we want changed.?
Kimmel asked, ?When you say he?s a big listener are you making fun of his ears?? ?No!? ?He keeps getting beaten up lately because there?s such an extremist movement happening. And it?s very dangerous because it?s not the character of America. It?s really under attack. And he?s been governing under a state of emergency since the time he went into office. So we haven?t seen him do what he can do.?
From there, Jimmy mistakenly asked Eva, ?This is the last season of ?Dancing with the Stars.? Why is that?? to which she replied, ?I?m not on ?Dancing with the Stars!? Kimmel quickly recovered, corrected himself, and asked Ms. Longoria about her final months working on ?Desperate Housewives.?

Showing off her culinary skills, Eva Longoria was spotted at Buca Di Beppo in Las Vegas on Saturday (September 24).
The ?Over Her Dead Body? starlet chilled out in the kitchen and added her own secret ingredient to the homemade marinara sauce.
Unfortunately, Eva?s regular gig ?Desperate Housewives? didn?t fare well for its Sunday night season premiere.
The show?s final run kicked off with a disappointing 9.7 million viewers, making it the lowest premiere ever.

As things draw to a close on Wisteria Lane, the ladies of ?Desperate Housewives? are in for some extra craziness in the upcoming eight and final season.
According to Eva Longoria, the whole ?hiding the body of Gabby?s abusive stepfather? thing at the end of season seven begins to take its toll.
"[It] puts a strain on her relationship with Carlos. It's funny: As serious as the crime was, there is so much humor this season. I'm having so much fun doing the physical comedy."
Executive producer Bob Daily added, "We?re coming full circle. The mystery is going to harken back to what happened in season 1. We're bringing back characters you haven't seen in a while, and there?s a big whammy at the end!"
