Preparing to make her executive producing with NBC's "Ready for Love" and Lifetime's "Devious Maids," Eva Longoria spruced up to cover the November 2012 issue of Latina magazine.
Showing off her voluminous brunette locks, the 37-year-old actress posed in black leather top for the front page shot while dishing about everything from missing "Desperate Housewives" to how she spends her downtime.

On missing "Desperate Housewives":
"I do [miss it]. I miss the consistency of going to the same place every day. I miss the girls. I miss the crew and I miss seeing their faces everyday. But no Gabby withdrawal. We did it all with that character. We fully explored every aspect of Gabby over eight years."
On staying connected through technology:
"I have to have my Blackberry because I can only type fast on that but I also have the iPhone of course, I just cant type as fast. Plus on [the iPhone] I have autocorrect, which sometimes I don't like. iPad, iPhone, blackberry -- I'm connected. A mobile office if you will. It's so funny because I don't even know where my laptop is. I was looking for my laptop the other day and I haven't used it in months."
On how she spends her downtime:
"I meditate a lot in the mornings and at night and I work out. And cooking, those are my downtimes. I have so many new recipes now that I'm working on because I'm on this whole health kick."
On staying educated:
?As an actress, there?s a stereotype that we can?t be smart, we can?t be political, we can?t be civic-minded or engaged. We just have to stay in front of the camera and look pretty. No, I?m human. I can do more.?

After hosting the PADRES Contra El Cancer Annual Gala earlier in the evening, Eva Longoria made her way to the event's after party at TAO nightclub inside The Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday (September 29).
The 37 year-old Latina beauty looked stunning in a figure-hugging black leather dress as she took to her Twitter page to enlighten her fans of her weekend plans, writing, "At @TaoLasVegas for the Official #PADRES Gala After Party!"
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Eva had the honor of being Gala Chair for the night's festivities while she teamed up with fellow actor George Lopez who MC'd the event.
According to the foundation, PADRES is committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children and their families, as they deal with cancer. Aside from the families in need, Mattel Children?s Hospital UCLA and Metta World Peace (of the Los Angeles Lakers) were both honored for their incredible philanthropic work, as well as their many contributions to the children?s cancer community.

A day after co-hosting the ALMA Awards, Eva Longoria is back to work taking care of business outside of California State University in Northridge, California today (September 17).
The "Desperate Housewives" star gabbed on the phone and looked through legal pads in a white tank-top, khakis, and flat sandals.
Though it taped last night, the ALMA Awards will air Friday night on NBC. According to E! Online's count, the happy hostess stunned in a record 11 outfit changes.
Another highlight of the show was Christina Aguilera's achievement award for her career and work in philanthropy for which she received a standing ovation.
After a dazzling night to celebrate Latinos in television, film, fashion, and sports, Eva told E! News that producing the awards show was one of her "biggest accomplishments."

She definitely has a penchant for younger men, and Eva Longoria has been entertaining a gentleman caller by the name of Mark Sanchez as of late.
The ?Desperate Housewives? star (37) and the New York Jets quarterback (25) seem to have hit it off in a big way, per Eva?s conversation with Mario Lopez on ?Extra.?
When Lopez asked Longoria if she?s dating Mark, she replied, ?You?re an a?hole. No, Mark and I are, you know, fine. We?re happy just dating.?
Sanchez previously told press, "I can't help but want somebody that's, I don't know, athletic. Family is big. My mom has to love her. I mean, love her. Somebody who can handle all this. . . because I'm still learning. Cynically, I think, 'Okay, how is this person going to help me with a Super Bowl?'"

Eva Longoria made an appearance at the DNC in Charlotte, SC yesterday (September 6) to voice her support for President Barack Obama.
The 37-year-old actress was seen wearing a blue dress, with her hair down, as she spoke of growing up in Texas.
The star of Desperate Housewives spoke of the struggles her family had growing up, and how she would have to work fast food and automotive services jobs to allow her family to make ends meet and to pay back loans. She said, "in my family, there was one cardinal priority: education."
Ms. Longoria, co-chair of President Obama's re-election committee, went on to say, "Mitt Romney would raise taxes on middle-class families to cut his own and mine. And that?s not who we are as a nation. And I?ll tell you why, because the Eva Longoria who worked at Wendy?s flipping burgers, she needed a tax break. But the Eva Longoria who worked on movie sets does not.?

With the drama of the event apparent on her face, Eva Longoria watched Day 8 of the U.S. Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in today (September 3).
While in New York City, the "Desperate Housewives" star wore a blue sleeveless top, white jacket, white pants, a Panama hat, and heels as she followed every step of the action on the court.
Recently, it was announced that the 37-year-old actress would be relaunching her Las Vegas restaurant under the name "SHE." Food blog Eater Vegas reports that the restaurant will have a 1920s theme while the club will have a more theatrical element with female performers on display.
After rumors that the steakhouse would be for females only, Eva took to Twitter to clear things up. "Hey @PerezHilton thank you for mentioning SHE steakhouse in Vegas. But we are not 'women only' everyone is welcome. It's a feminine style and take on a steakhouse, very cool!"

Wrapping up her weekend with a swanky shindig, Eva Longoria hosted the 2012 Global Gift Gala in Marbella, Spain last night (August 19).
Dressed in a variety of getups, the former ?Desperate Housewives? actress looked amazing throughout the evening as she mingled with guests and posed for the photographers.
Keeping her 4 million Twitter followers abreast to her activities, Eva tweeted, ?Very excited to be on stage with @DeepakChopra and Vincente del Bosque! Gracias a todos! Que exito!?
The Global Gift Gala was set up to benefit the Cesare Scariolo Foundation, a private non-profit organization whose main goal is direct aid to children who are receiving cancer treatments, as well as social and psychological support to their families.

When discussing the new NBC reality show, Miss Longoria commented, ?I mean, with our format, I think so. The Bachelor is kind of weird because people go on that show not even knowing who the bachelor is until you show up in the limo. That?s just fundamentally odd. With that basic creative piece, our show is a little more authentic.?
