She got divorced back in January, and Eva Longoria told Ellen DeGeneres that her relationship with her ex-husband Tony Parker has been relatively drama-free.
The main reason for that, it seems, is that the ?Desperate Housewives? dame doesn?t speak with her NBA star ex-hubby.
Eva explained, "Being a woman, I realized you cannot identify yourself through a man or through your marriage.?
"I think it's our nature to be socially constructed that way. To just be inferior or subservient and you don?t have to be. You can be yourself and really hold your own by yourself no matter what partnership you're in."
"I'm in a happy place. Everyone says I look younger... Everyone keeps saying, 'You've never looked better.? I think divorce agrees with me!"

She?s always up for a publicity opportunity, and yesterday (September 8) Eva Longoria was busy filming a segment for ?Extra.?
The ?Over Her Dead Body? babe teamed up with good friend Mario Lopez on location in Los Angeles for the gig.
And as always, Eva looked amazing, sporting a fun and flirty yellow summer dress teamed with a pair of beige heels.
As for the recent rumors that Eva is engaged to her boyfriend Eduardo Cruz, it seems there?s zero evidence of a betrothal, and they?re happy with things the way they are.

I haven?t written about Eva Longoria in a while, mostly because ?Who cares?? Also, I have to say - Eva has been keeping a lower profile. Maybe it?s just that no one really cares enough to invite her places, or maybe the paparazzi are bored with her too, but she hasn?t been getting pap?d on a daily basis for several months. Sure, she manages to get pap?d once a week or so, but that?s very low-key for Eva. Anyway, Eva is still loved-up with Penelope Cruz?s brother, Eduardo. He?s 26 - Eva is 36. She?s twice divorced, he?s never been in a really committed relationship. So? I?m saying that ?six months? together is an achievement - although the ?six months? figure is a lie perpetuated by Star Magazine. Eva and Eduardo started up two seconds after Eva?s marriage was over, last year. There were photos of them together around New Year?s. So they?ve been together for more than eight months. Time for marriage and babies?!?
Why wait when you?re in love! Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz, 26, are so smitten with each other that after dating for just six months, he popped the question in Marbella, Spain, a source close to the actor reveals to Star. The big moment came while they were cruising the Mediterranean on a yacht with his sister Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem, in July.
And they even plan to wed later this year.
?After he proposed, Eva and Eduardo jumped into the water together,? says the source. Tying the knot again so soon may seem like a big leap for the Desperate Housewives star, whose marriage to Tony Parker ended last November.
But Eduardo?s pal tells Star, ?They?ve found their soul mate in each other.?

Part of me thinks that Eva is just one of Those Girls. Those Girls who always have a boyfriend/husband, those girls who can never be alone for two seconds, those girls who go from ?casually dating? to ?OMG, we?re getting married? in about a month. So, I?m not really surprised that there are engagement rumors, and I seriously doubt they?re coming from Eduardo. This is ALL Eva. Which means that I don?t know if I can take it seriously - I just don?t see Eduardo Cruz being all ?I want to spend the rest of my life with Eva Longoria!? It doesn?t make sense.
By the way, did you notice how the Star Mag piece name-dropped Penelope and Javier? That?s Eva?s M.O. too. Eva is desperate to make this Penelope Cruz connection happen, when really, I don?t think Penelope cares much for Eva. I hope Penelope really thinks that Eva is a desperate, fame-hungry B-lister.

Keeping an eye on her business venture, Eva Longoria was spotted at Beso restaurant in Los Angeles last night (September 7).
Joined by boyfriend Eduardo Cruz, the ?Desperate Housewives? actress looked a bit annoyed with the paparazzi as she made her exit.
And though she went thorough a very public divorce from ex-husband Tony Parker, Eva told press she?s anything but jaded in the romance department.
"I'm a very strong person. Personally I went through a lot, but jumping into my work helped me to get through my personal stuff.?
"I'm a survivor, I believe in love, I believe that things are meant to be and that whatever happens is for a reason. I'm always grateful for the experiences that I have and I'm also very optimistic about what the future holds.?
"I'm at peace with myself, my spirituality, my friends, my family. I have this amazing life, so I'm really happy deep inside my heart.?

Checking in on her side business, Eva Longoria was spotted at Beso restaurant in Los Angeles last night (August 25).
The ?Desperate Housewives? hottie donned a red shirt dress and nude Christian Louboutin high heels as she strolled inside for a delicious meal.
Eva is featured on the cover of Toys R Us? 2011 Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids catalog, and she told press she?s a huge fan of the long-running initiative to help youngsters of all ability levels.
"Growing up in a tight-knit family and watching my sister face ? and overcome ? everyday challenges, I came to understand the critical importance of teamwork and socialization in the development of differently-abled individuals. TheToys R Us Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids helps foster inclusive play environments by featuring toys that kids with special needs can enjoy alongside siblings and friends. I'm so honored to appear on the cover and lend my support to Toys R Us for this project."

After getting prettied up in her personal trailer, Eva Longoria was spotted on the set of the ?Desperate Housewives? in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday (August 24).
The Gabrielle Solis actress looked stunning in a short purple dress and flats as she readied for her scenes for the final season of the hit ABC show.
Last week, ABC confirmed that the upcoming season would indeed be the show?s last and Felicity Huffman, who plays Lynette Scavo, weighed in on the announcement.
She told, "Bob Daily and George Perkins and Sabrina Wind -- who are all producers -- came and made an announcement on the set (on Friday). It was lightening! They told me like it was a state secret, like I would get killed if I told anyone."

In between scenes, the lovely Latina lady paid a visit to her wardrobe stylist, who shoved some kleenex in Eva?s top to fill out her figure.
Once her chest was properly perky, Eva sauntered back to the soundstage where she continued filming shots for the show.
As for the notion that Longoria is looking to wed boyfriend Eduardo Cruz, her publicist said the rumors are absolutely ?not true.?

Ready for a long night of fundraising, Eva Longoria joined co-host Antonio Banderas (and his wife Melanie Griffith) at the 2011 Starlite Charity Gala in Marbella, Spain on Saturday (August 6).
Kicking things off with cocktails and dinner at Hotel Villa Padierna, the festivities are set to run well into the morning hours with an afterparty capping things off with a 1AM start time at Purobeach Marbella.
As for the cause, the Starlite Gala is "an international platform which benefits several foundations by raising funds for different causes: education, primary needs, cancer, etc. with the aim bringing a better quality life to children, families and communities with no resources."
Tweeting about the charitable plans, Miss Longoria wrote earlier in the day, "In Marbella, Spain getting ready for the Starlite Gala with Antonio Banderas to raise money for children all over the world!"
With collected cash being shuffled to numerous organizations, one of the beneficiaries is Eva Longoria?s Foundation (USA)- which "focuses its efforts on children and the Latin community (immigration problems, social integration, health, education?), supporting the Foundations Parents Against Cancer (children with cncer and their families) and Eva?s Heroes (teens and young adults with intelectual special needs)."
