In addition to the European MTV Awards, last night was also the big premiere of Morning Glory, the film everybody?s mom wants to see. Personally, I?ve already had to promise my mom that I?d take her to see it, and I doubt I’m the only one. It?s going to be epic - Harrison Ford as a curmudgeon, Canada?s Sweetheart Rachel McAdams, and Diane Keaton doing her silly best. Now, while I think the trailer looks good, I don?t really get how this film is being promoted. If I was in charge (if, if, if), I would be putting the emphasis on Rachel as the Everywoman, the next Julia Roberts/Reese Witherspoon type who can carry a rom-com on her own. I?d also add a dash of Oscar nomination ?rumors? for Harrison, because he looks really interesting in this. What I would not do is encourage my leading lady, Rachel, to dress up like some kind of twitchy blonde bombshell. This premiere dress (Lanvin) and styling reeks of ?trying too hard? and it makes me not like her. Plus, I just don?t care for her as a blonde.
Harrison looked like hell too. I know he?s Old and everything, but the hair and the earring? God, Harrison. Just slick back your hair and be the elder statesman that you are.

Stepping out to promote her latest project, Rachel McAdams attended the premiere of "Morning Glory" in New York City on Sunday night (November 7).
Held at the Ziegfeld Theatre, the "Sherlock Holmes" hottie was joined by actors Jeff Goldblum, Harrison Ford and Patrick Wilson for the weekend red carpet event.
Directed by Roger Michell, "Morning Glory" is a new comedy which is set to hit theaters this Friday, November 10th.
A synopsis of the flick via IMDB reads: "A hotshot television producer is set the challenge of reviving a struggling morning show program, despite the constant feuding of its high-profile anchors."

Over the past few days, I?ve seen the trailer for the new Rachel McAdams movie about a dozen times. I don?t if the publicity campaign is just targeting me specifically or women like me, but I?m kind of sold on it. The film is called Morning Glory, and in addition to McAdams, it also stars Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton and Patrick Wilson. It looks like it?s part generic romantic comedy and part Working Girl/Broadcast News. I?m calling it: my mom will love this f-cking movie. And so will I, although I probably won?t admit it.
Anyway, Rachel has already starting promoting the film, and she gave an interview to the New York Times that I found interesting - a rarity, because Rachel seems like an actress who tries really hard to give boring interviews. Anyway, Rachel says that when she was flying from Canada into an America, an immigration official began berating her:
Rachel McAdams, a 31-year-old Canadian actress who lives here in a house she shares with her younger brother when she?s not off shooting movies, has long held a green card. She can usually cross the border to the United States easily, but a few years ago an American customs officer recognized Ms. McAdams and gave her a hard time.
?She kicked me to the curb,? recalled Ms. McAdams, a slight, 5-foot-4 blonde. ?She was tough. I had Pink hair at the time, and she said, ?Don?t dye your hair that color, and don?t make any more stupid movies.? ?
The actress was too polite to ask which movies the officer might be referring to. ?I was just glad she let me through,? she said.
In the eight years that Ms. McAdams has been making movies there have been few glaringly stupid ones. An exception would be her first Hollywood film, ?The Hot Chick,? a dopey comedy in which she played a high school cheerleader who switched bodies with Rob Schneider?s small-time crook. Her rsum is notable for the wide variety of characters she has portrayed, ranging from the teenage queen bee everyone loved to hate in ?Mean Girls? and the love-struck young woman in ?The Notebook,? her first major lead, to the sassy foil of Owen Wilson in the blockbuster comedy ?Wedding Crashers? and a returning Iraq war veteran in an independent drama called ?The Lucky Ones.? In ?State of Play? Ms. McAdams portrayed a high-energy blogger who helps investigate a murder, and in last year?s ?Sherlock Holmes? an old flame to Robert Downey Jr.?s pipe-smoking detective.
Next up, ?Morning Glory,? a comedy in which she plays a hotshot television producer who must rein in bickering anchors (Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford) while trying to increase ratings on a struggling morning news show. The film opens on Nov. 10.
?Being an actor you get to have so many lifetimes in one,? McAdams said. ?I like the comfort of home, the stability and security, but I also want to travel and do new things. Being an actor expedites that.?
Ms. McAdams grew up in St. Thomas , a small town in Ontario; her mother was a nurse, her father a mover. St. Thomas is best known as the place where Jumbo the elephant, the pride and joy of the showman P. T. Barnum, was accidentally crushed to death by a locomotive in 1885. Like virtually all Canadians she learned to skate early, at the age of 4, and dreamed of future Olympic glory on the ice. She discovered her true vocation, however, when she was 12 and attended a performance by a children?s theater group. ?I told my mother that I had to be in it, that I would die if I wasn?t,? Ms. McAdams said, laughing at her precocious flair for the dramatic.
?I try to pick movies that I want to make, that offer a challenge, but that people want to see,? she said. ?Why do all that work if it?s for naught? If you act and nobody sees it, is it still acting??
She was attracted to ?Morning Glory,? she said, in part because it offered a chance to work with Mr. Ford, 68, who was riding high in ?Star Wars? before Ms. McAdams was born. In the movie, her character cajoles the Ford character, a former nightly news anchor, to join her fluffy morning show after finding a loophole in his contract. ?Harrison is so funny,? Ms. McAdams said. ?He has this amazing dry humor.?
According to Mr. Ford the admiration is mutual. ?It was really a pleasure to work with Rachel,? he said. ?She?s a very rare combination of having a straightforward approach to the work, and yet there?s always an emotional underpinning to her acting, which is often surprising, both in its correctness for the scene and its availability to her and those working with her.?

Can you imagine being berated by an immigration official? About your career and hair style choices? Goodness. Someone was cranky. Other than that, I think it?s cute that Rachel and Harrison like each other, because I get the feeling that at this point in his career, he doesn?t really give a sh-t. But he cared about Rachel, so that?s nice.

She?s one of the hottest ladies in showbiz, so it?s no wonder Rachel McAdams always finds herself with plenty of interested gentleman callers.
The ?Notebook? babe told press she?s not afraid of dating her Tinseltown peers, as they can relate to her crazy life.
"I usually take away one close relationship from every job, some romantic, some not. I'm not shy. But I feel like I give off more confidence than I really have. I get in trouble for being overly friendly at times."
When asked if she has a certain type of guy she prefers, Rachel replied, "I don't think so, although I guess everyone says that, right? I like to be surprised by people, and I find that makes life a lot easier too, when you just accept what's coming your way."

Back during the Toronto Film Festival, LaineyGossip had some interesting scoop on a would-be new, hot, interesting couple. Apparently, Michael Sheen and Rachel McAdams were all up on each other at an event at TIFF. They would be an unconventional couple it seems - Rachel is in line to become a go-to younger actress who would be expected (by the tabloids and fans) to date hot dudes like Ryan Gosling. Michael is an actor?s actor who has, in the past few years, found a wonderful niche as a go-to dramatic actor (with solid comedic chops). Anyway, Lainey claimed they were coupling up, and now the Canadian press (and Page Six) seem to be verifying it:
So, how’s this for the Commonwealth Games? In one corner: hometown fave and noted damsel in non-distress Rachel McAdams. In the other: Michael Sheen, a chameleonic force, that of the Welsh variety. Together, they’ve been providing a united front of late, seen all over town, doing the great decathlon of love.
It’s on, really it is. McAdams, who toyed with Sherlock Holmes on the big screen recently, and that gent who’s played Tony Blair (many times) and the white rabbit (in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland) and, oh, even Liz Lemon’s romantic snare on 30 Rock (but just passing through) are, by all accounts, together. So together.
“Their happiness is making my day,” is how an eyewitness actually put it to me, when he ended up having brunch beside them at Gilead Cafe, on the east end of Toronto, on Saturday. There was no dissenting evidence as to the state of their couple-hood, let’s just say. And the early stages of romance must do wonders for one’s appetite, because the thesps were seen not long before, in the same neck of the woods, at Le Petit Dejeuner, on King Street East.
Hands in clasp, they “stood outside,” another spy tells me, as there was a “lineup as always” at the popular spot. Both of them were topped off with cute hats to stave off the rain.
By evening, the centrifugal force that is love had led Rachel and Michael to the same dusk-till-dawn streets that had drawn out so many others in Toronto — the arty bacchanal known as Nuit Blanche! Getting into the spirit, they caught a few things, including the ah-isn’tthat-sweet? singalong that had been planned at the new Bell Lightbox. It was a singalong set to movie scores –how fitting was that?
This more-than-friends weekend comes, I should add, on the heels of the two meeting at Cheval, here on the west side, during the filmfest. A party it was then for Sheen’s weeper of a film, Beautiful Boy, and as the watchful Lainey Lui, of LaineyGossip.com,reported then, it was definitely sparks-ville. They were talking and “kept talking and not talking to anyone else,” is the way she put it. This is how things kinda line up, by the way: Sheen is 10 years our girl’s senior, has been burning up the stage in London for years before he was “discovered” in America, and happens to share a daughter with ex-wife Kate Beckinsale.
Rachel, meanwhile, upped her stakes by appearing on the cover of Vogue a few months back, spent most of her summer filming a movie for Woody Allen in Paris (and returns next to the screen in a curiousity with Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford) and is best known (romantically speaking) for her storybook (but ultimately doomed) relationship with Ryan Gosling.

I think it?s totally on. And I think it?s totally hot. Michael Sheen - while not my idea of a ?Hot Guy? - is completely respectable and lovely and adorable, plus he?s really talented. Rachel is hot - very, very pretty, and she keeps her junk under wraps very well. They have the potential to be a very interesting power couple. I want this to be real.

Earlier today, I saw these photos of Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen leaving a screening together a few nights ago. I didn?t really think anything of it, other than ?Oh, I bet they?re working together or something.? I?m ashamed to admit it didn?t even occur to me that they could be hooking up. But that is a distinct possibility, according to Lainey at LaineyGossip. Lainey has a behind-the-scenes account of their hardcore flirtations at an after-party, and basically, I think it?s on.
Rachel McAdams showed up at the Beautiful Boy (starring Michael Sheen and Mario Bello) screening on Sunday night and at the film?s afterparty at Cheval. SO pretty. Loose blonde hair in waves around her face, great tight black dress with an exposed zipper running all the way down the back ? she has an amazing ass ? and stacked black heels, hot.
Michael Sheen was there already. I saw her walk up to the rooftop patio. She spent a few minutes talking to randoms, and shortly after Sheen had joined her. To me it was like they were being introduced. He?s an actor, she?s an actor, she watches his movie, they meet, they chit chat, he goes back to his people, she hangs out with hers, the end.
But then they went to sit together on a couch and kept talking and not talking to anyone else. And then together they went over to the bar to talk some more. On the way they ran into others, and talked to those others together, and after getting more drinks they went back to their couch and kept talking and new others came and went while they continued to not be apart.
And that?s not usually just a friend thing. That?s a thing thing. By the time I left, they?d been together like that for over an hour. So of course I asked around. Heard from a couple of sources yesterday that it?s early days in the courtship but they?re definitely checking each other out. Cute, right?

They?re both single, from what I know. Michael used to be married to Kate Beckinsale, and they share custody of their daughter Lily. Michael is 41 years old - Rachel is 31 years old. So the age difference isn?t as wide as you?d think, and, hey, they?re both very talented actors who generally fly under the radar. So, here?s the question: Is this just a film festival hookup (hot), or is it a potential relationship? They could be a very actorly power-couple, a Canadian-Welsh New Hot Couple. We?ll see.

Checking out the work of her fellow actors and actresses, Rachel McAdams was spotted out for a night of cinema in Toronto, Canada on Sunday (September 12).
The 31-year-old beauty was clad in black as she entered a local theatre for a Toronto Film Festival screening of "Beautiful Boy" starring Michael Sheen and Maria Bello.
As for her own career, Rachel is readying up to begin filming a new Michael Sucsy directed movie in Toronto called "The Vow".
Co-starring Channing Tatum and Jessica McNamee, the Spyglass/Screen Gems project tells "the real-life story of a newlywed New Mexico couple (McAdams, Tatum) who end up in a car crash. The wife is put in a coma, and when she comes to -- without any memory of her husband or their marriage -- the husband attempts to wins her heart again."

Continuing along with one of her many projects, Rachel McAdams was spotted on the set of ?The Vow? in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday (August 31).
Dolled up in a black dress and hat, the ?Notebook? babe shot several scenes before retreating to her trailer for a much-deserved break.
?The Vow? is based on a true story of a newlywed couple (McAdams and Channing Tatum) who survive a car crash but struggle to keep their marriage alive after the wife loses memory of her husband.
And according to the Hollywood Reporter, ?Felicity? actor, Scott Speedman, is eying the role of the wife's ex-fianc, who complicates things by rekindling their romance after the accident.

Making the most of her time overseas, Rachel McAdams was spotted out and about in Paris, France last night (August 17).
The ?Red Eye? actress looked lovely as she strolled around the City of Lights, enjoying the company of a mystery man.
In career news, Rachel will be starring in the upcoming true story romance film titled ?The Vow,? in which a newlywed couple suffers a horrible tragedy surrounding a car crash and the resulting amnesia.
And according to an industry report, Scott Speedman has just been added to the cast, which already includes Channing Tatum. Sounds like a hottie-filled roster.

This could be total crap, but we have the (on-set) photos to use as evidence, so what the hell? Honestly, that?s probably how this story started - someone at The Sun was sifting through the thousands of photos coming out of Woody Allen?s Parisian film shoot and they noticed that hey, Rachel McAdams and Owen Wilson are both kind of single right now, right? Why not? Why aren?t they boning? Thus, a tabloid story was born. And seriously, why not? It wouldn?t hurt either of them: he?s got issues and she?s kind of boring (meaning she?s not very tabloid-friendly because she keeps her private life pretty locked-down). Stranger things have happened:
Owen Wilson and co-star Rachel McAdams are becoming more than just colleagues, according to sources on the set of their new movie Midnight In Paris.
Funnyman Owen and Rachel, who appeared in GUY RITCHIE’s Sherlock Holmes, have been openly flirting between takes on WOODY ALLEN’s new project, due out next year.
It must be said Owen’s new lady friend is a dead ringer for his ex, Kate Hudson.
An onlooker said: “After one scene at a flea market in St Ouen outside Paris, Owen was playing with her hair and being really affectionate. Even for a pair of luvvies, it was very flirtatious. The gossip on set is that they are an item off screen.”
Owen deserves a break. The Zoolander star suffered serious depression and even tried to take his own life after he split up with Kate in 2007. Kate must have a thing for men with big hooters. Owen’s got a tremendous conk and she’s now dating generously nostrilled MATT BELLAMY from MUSE.
