Rachel McAdams covers the August issue of Allure, and they finally released some quotes from the piece at long last. Rachel is promoting A Most Wanted Man, a spy/thriller starring the late, great Phillip Seymour Hoffman (it was one of his final roles). So, just FYI ? Rachel?s promotional work is going to be tinged with sadness as everyone asks her about PSH. Here are some highlights from Allure?s cover story:
On the “Hey Girl” Ryan Gosling meme: “I know you’re not going to believe me,” she says sheepishly, “but I don’t follow it.”
On the reports that Lindsay Lohan felt intimidated by her: “If anything, I was in awe of her talent. I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing. It’s just funny to hear that because you never know what people are thinking. We all try to act like we’ve got it together.?
Does McAdams still believe in true love? “Oh, yeah, for sure. Absolutely.?
Filming a striptease in her first film, The Hot Chick: “I just remember breathing deep and thinking, Oh, my God, I have to go out there and do this striptease, as a man?as a woman. How did I get here?” she says. “It was probably one of the scariest moments I’ve had in my career. It stretched me in ways I could never have imagined.” A slight pause. “Literally.”
On Phillip Seymour Hoffman: ?I learned so much from him. He really takes you under — he really took me under his wing. You feel very taken care of, but at the same time there’s an element of danger: There’s a crackle in every scene. He makes sure the stakes are very high, and there’s a safety there, too. He had so much natural, raw talent, but he worked so hard, too. He really worked for it and didn’t let up. I?m sure that wasn’t easy.”

I feel for her because magazines still ask her about Ryan Gosling even today, years after their relationship was done. I?m assuming this interview was conducted a few months before everyone knew Ryan and Eva were expecting their first kid too. So? please stop asking Rachel about Ryan. Enough. She?s moved on. But if you want to ask her about what happened with Michael Sheen, I?d like to hear that.

I think it’s been years since we’ve seen Rachel McAdams at the Costume Institute Gala, if ever. So that’s why I’m disappointed that she wore this simple, pale Pink Ralph Lauren gown when she could have really stepped it up. This is just a one tone pastel gown in a very simple silhouette and it’s forgettable to me. Plus her hair and makeup are similarly underwhelming.
Also at last night’s Met Gala were Rachel’s most recent ex (that we know of), Michael Sheen, and his new lady, Sarah Silverman. Sarah was in a va-va voom scarlet Zac Posen gown that looked incredible, but was apparently difficult to maneuver. This was Sarah and Micheal’s first red carpet together as a couple. I wonder if Rachel and Michael had any awkward run-ins? That must be a sh*tty part of being in show business: running in those small circles of people and having to see your ex and his new piece.
Hailee Steinfeld also looked classic and perfect for the theme in black and white Prabal Gurung. I love how the hemline on this dress is somewhat bell-like, and how old school this dress is. I’m not fond of her styling, though. I like a bold brow but it’s like someone teased hers up.
Another young starlet in black and white was Chloe Moretz, in Chanel. Some may call this dress too old fashioned and mature for her, but I sort-of like it. I think her styling keeps it fresh and young looking, although some of the details are too much. The goofy Western belt could go, as could the Pink tufted pieces around the waist. Otherwise I think it’s cute, and I love her hair and makeup.

"The Vow" beauty was stylish in shades, catching the eyes of passersby, and sporting a black dress coat and yellow shirt, completing her look with a pair of sexy skinnies and black boots.

Taking care of promotional duties for her upcoming film "About Time," Rachel McAdams stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday (October 29).
The 34-year-old actress donned a striped dress as she sat down and chatted with the host about her favorite Halloween memories, which include passing out candy to teenagers who recognized her as "Mean Girls'" Regina George.
"I have to dress up now to give out candy because I was giving out candy one year and some teenage girls came to the door," Miss McAdams explained. "And they were like, 'Are you Regina George from Mean Girls?' and I was like 'No... Just no. That's so weird that you're asking me that.'"
Ellen then joked, "'You don't know where I live now. I'm in someone else's house doing this.' And you had to move the next day?"
Rachel continued, "So I had to try to find whatever was in my closet [to wear]. I think I came up with a ski bunny [costume]. I basically put on my snowsuit and a hat and sunglasses."

Enjoying some time overseas, Rachel McAdams showed up at the Universal Open Air Film Lounge at the Kino am Olympiasee in Munich, Germany on Saturday (August 10).
Joined by writer/director Richard Curtis, the ?Red Eye? hottie was in the house for a special screening of her forthcoming flick ?About Time.?
Slated for a November 8th release, ?About Time? also stars Bill Nighy, Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson, Tom Hollander, and Vanessa Kirby.
Per the synopsis, ?At the age of 21, Tim discovers he can travel in time and change what happens and has happened in his own life. His decision to make his world a better place by getting a girlfriend turns out not to be as easy as you might think.?

I have an awkward confession. I try to be all jaded and cynical, but really? I love Richard Curtis, who is like the king of sweet romantic comedies. He wrote the screenplays for Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, and he wrote and directed Love Actually, Pirate Radio and this new Rachel McAdams film, About Time. These are photos from the premiere of About Time, which stars Domhnall Gleeson, Rachel and Bill Nighy. If you haven?t seen the trailer for About Time yet? it looks very sweet. Very romantic and lovely, but completely cheeseball. So I?ll probably see it, of course. But I won?t tell anyone. Here?s the trailer:
Anyway? Rachel wore this outfit (these are separates, if you can believe that) by Roksanda Ilincic. When I first saw these pics yesterday, I was like, ?Ugh, why is she dressed as a futuristic priestess?? But I don?t really hate it. Mostly I want to fix the sleeves and make the tailoring better overall. As for Rachel?s red hair? she dyed it a few months ago, finally ridding herself of that terrible bleach-blonde look she had while dating Michael Sheen. I like her as a redhead, but I still think the color is off. She needs a better colorist overall.
At the premiere, Rachel talked about how much she loved working in England, saying: ?I love working in British cinema, it is simply delightful because everybody is so much fun and people are always making jokes on set. But it was quite challenging to work on a British film because the rhythm of humor is different to movies elsewhere.?

Building the hype ahead of the August 30th theatrical release, ?Passion? has just dropped an intense teaser trailer.
The forthcoming flick stars Rachel McAdams, Noomi Rapace, and Paul Anderson under the writing and direction of the legendary Brian DePalma.
?Passion? will also be available on VOD beginning August 1st, and was based on the 2010 French film ?Love Crime? from Alain Corneau.
Per the synopsis, ?The rivalry between the manipulative boss of an advertising agency and her talented protge escalates from stealing credit to public humiliation to murder.?

Just yesterday, Life & Style was trying to make Rachel McAdams and Bradley Cooper happen, which is not a couple I can really get behind. Mostly because I like her so much and I would like to see her find someone who is her equal in cuteness and settling-down-ness, and I don?t think Bradley ?Bro Down With Leo? Cooper will make it happen. But what if Rachel was going around with a relatively unknown actor? That?s what Star Magazine claims. So, is Rachel two-timing Bradley Cooper? LOL. Sorry, that just struck me as funny for some reason. Best case scenario: Rachel is just having fun as a single girl and going out on dates with guys who interest her, regardless of how famous they are or whatever. I do hope she?s just having fun. I?d like her to have a nice summer romance, a fast and dirty fling. And then she can hunt for a new boyfriend at the Toronto Film Festival.
