First, let me be fair to Anne Hathaway. It?s not like she wore this outfit on a red carpet or to any kind of formal event. She?s allowed to wear whatever she wants in her private life. Anne and her husband Adam Shulman were photographed having lunch with friends at Astro Burger in LA over the weekend. Anne recently stepped out for some rare public appearances (for charity!), and it?s almost like the paparazzi just remembered that she exists. She?s been keeping a low profile for months, which I like and appreciate. So, what I?m saying is that I?m still largely giving Annie a pass.
That being said, this outfit!!! THOSE PANTS. I can totally see how every woman owns a pair of pants like this ? you buy the pants because you?re all, ?OMG, so comfortable and why not wear more wide-legged stuff? They?re so chic and a lovely linen blend and they?ll go with half my shirts! I?ll look like a J.Crew ad!? And then you wear them out one day and you realize that the pants are the devil. The linen blend means that they don?t hang properly and that they wrinkle in two seconds. And you realize that from the back, your ass looks super-wide. And you never wear them again. They grow dust in the back of your closet. You pull them out once or twice a year, briefly recalling your dream of looking like a chic J.Crew ad. And then you remember.
Maybe I?m reading too much into the pants. Maybe this is just Anne?s subliminal reaction to seeing her husband?s near-constant love for skinny jeans. He wears the skinny jeans in the family, she wears the palazzo pants in the family.

Here are some photos from The Pink Party (a charity event benefiting The Women’s Cancer Program At Cedars-Sinai) hosted by Annie Hathaway on Saturday. Annie hasn?t been doing a lot of red carpet events this year, so it?s noteworthy just for that really. It?s almost like Anne knows that she was annoying us so she made an effort to go away? Maybe. Anyway, since I haven?t seen her in a while, I was surprised to see that she?s still trying to make a go of her short hairstyle. This is not the hairstyle of a woman who is growing it out with some awkwardness ? this is the hairstyle of a woman who wants to keep the short hair for a while longer. And I don?t know why? This shorter hair is aging her. She?s only 30 years old, but in the closeups, she could pass for 40.
Her dress isn?t helping either. It?s J.Mendel. Taylor Swift wears a lot of J.Mendel. That?s all you really need to know about J.Mendel. I?m not hating the cut of the dress ? it?s not great but it?s not awful ? but I dislike the color on Anne. I?m really feeling like Anne doesn?t know what colors she should wear and which she should avoid. Any shade of Pepto Pink should be avoided, Annie. Free advice. Also: does she look pregnant? I don?t think so, but I guess people will be wondering because she dared to wear something loose.
I?m also including some pics of Maria Bello in Kaufman Franco (hate the dress and Bello has been looking so ?Toxed lately) and Kate Beckinsale in Donna Karan. That would have been a great dress for Anne.

It?s a big day for fans of Christopher Nolan?s Batman franchise, as ?The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector?s Edition? box set has just hit stores.
Among the special features in the Warner Home Entertainment collection are stills of Anne Hathaway's audition for the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
Also included is tryout footage from Cillian Murphy's reading for the lead Batman gig, wearing the same Val Kilmer bat suit as Christian Bale (who obviously got the part).
The six-disc ?Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector?s Edition? is priced at $99.99, though Amazon has it for $79.99 for a limited time!

Keeping her figure in tip-top shape, Anne Hathaway headed to a dance studio in Los Angeles on Thursday (August 22).
Trying to keep a low profile around the pesky paparazzi, the "Les Miserables" star wore a blue tank top, black workout tights and Pink sneakers as she made her way to the rehearsal.
Recently, Miss Hathaway was a subject of gossip when she was apparently forced to pass on a "Got Milk?" campaign. According to Star Magazine, Anne cancelled her appearance due to being lactose intolerant.
An apparent source spoke to the tabloid, revealing, "She really, really wants to be loved and thought this would be a fun way to get her face in every magazine in America."
The source added, "It never dawned on her that she might not be right for the campaign since she doesn't even drink dairy milk!"
The 30-year-old's rep immediately dismissed the sudden rumors, stating, "She never had any 'Got Milk?' plans whatsosever. Nothing was cancelled, nothing was changed, and there is no 'dairy disaster.'"

Here are some photos of Anne Hathaway taking a morning hike with some girlfriends yesterday in the Hollywood Hills. A few things: one, I like that Anne has girlfriends and that they go for hikes as a group. Two, I?m impressed with Anne?s booty. She has a cute booty! I?ve never really noticed that before. Three, I?m pretty sure she?s going commando under those compression capris or whatever. Four, those pants are so fug. Truly.
Anyway, apparently it?s still a thing to hate on poor Annie. This poor woman. She?s an Oscar-winner and she can?t enjoy it because people look at her and think ?Annoying. Oscar Beav. Nipple Dress. Try-Hard.? But I still like Annie. And she?s trying to get more people to like her too, allegedly. All of this is ?allegedly?. Star Magazine claims that Annie is ?so desperate? for public acceptance that she wants to be the newest face of the oh-so-wholesome Got Milk? campaign.
Except there seems to be a problem (allegedly). Apparently, Annie is lactose intolerant and she?s said so publicly, so her campaign ?was abruptly canceled? because her lactose intolerance is ?off-message?. Fortunately, Annie?s rep (doesn?t she share representation with Jennifer Aniston?) went to Gossip Cop and said that Annie never had any plans to do a Got Milk campaign. Huh. Suspicious.
Dear Annie: You know what would get you back into everyone?s good graces? Make a good movie and then have a baby. Seriously. That?s all you really need to do.

Making the most of her downtime, Anne Hathaway stepped out for a morning hike in Los Angeles on Wednesday (August 21).
The "Les Miserables" actress donned a white tank top and blue pants as she made her way through Hollywood Hills with some of her gal pals.
Recently, Anne won a survey that iHeartRadio conducted of who in Hollywood would be worthy enough to play the future queen of England, Kate Middleton, in a biopic.
Kate Beckinsale followed closely behind Anne with 24-percent, and Natalie Portman with 20-percent.
However, Jennifer Lawrence received fourth place in the poll with 17-percent. While everyone would love her to snag the role, her signature bluntness might be a bit out of place.

Maintaining a strict vegan regimen, Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman enjoyed the fabulous fare at Crossroads Restaurant in Los Angeles on Sunday (August 11).
The ?Princess Diaries? dame looked leggy in some short shorts and gold sandals as she strolled alongside her hubby of almost one year.
Of her choice to go vegan, Anne told press that her role as Catwoman in ?The Dark Knight Rises? led her to the lifestyle.
?After I finished the rooftop fight, I ate four slices of pizza and split a bottle of red wine with my guy. I hadn?t eaten like that in months. I felt so ill. By the time the movie finished, I decided to give veganism a try. You can?t go hog-wild as a vegan.?

These are some photos of Anne Hathaway earlier this week, shopping in West Hollywood with her husband and a friend. I actually love her fancy wedges, but I feel like they?re too dressy for a shopping excursion? But her outfit is cute, no doubt. So, is everybody ?over? their Hathahate? Can we go back to sort of liking her even when she?s kind of annoying? Because I still like her. And I still enjoy her in total, even with her Oscar Beav and Oscar Nips. She?s fun, she?s dorky, she works hard and the ?Hathahate? thing was so overblown.
Have you noticed that it?s been five months and she still hasn?t issued a word about the ?Hathaway Backlash? I?m sure she?ll discuss it in future interviews, but I like that she?s not out there trying to make people like her. She needed a break. We needed a break too. Anyway, in that same vein, Star Magazine claims that Anne was pitching a possible memoir about her life and work to book publishers. And no one wanted it!
Don?t hold your breath waiting for Anne Hathaway?s autobiography. Star has heard that the actress? not-so-highly anticipated memoir was rejected by numerous publishing houses when she pitched the idea of writing her life story.
?Anne was told flat-out that her life isn?t that interesting and she?s just not popular enough,? the insider says. ?She is crushed because she thought she has a best-seller.?
Maybe it was the title? It Came True: Writing the Perfect Acceptance Speech.

I actually sat here and debated (with myself) if I would read Anne?s memoirs. I probably would, but only if she was being brutally honest. I want to know what happened between Anne and the Italian con artist. I want to know what happened between Anne and Christian Bale. I want to know why Anne married a skinny-pants wearing jewelry designer. The problem isn?t that ?Anne is boring and everyone hates her? ? the problem is that Anne is incredibly interesting but she just acts like a boring dork so you won?t see her acting shady.

Stopping to fuel up during her busy day, Anne Hathaway grabbed coffee in Los Angeles on Tuesday (July 23).
The "Les Misrables" star looked cute in a white Duran Duran T-shirt, blue jeans, light flats, and a white fedora as she headed back to her vehicle.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the 30-year-old actress was just announced as the host of the upcoming Elyse Walker Pink Party.
In its ninth year, the annual star-studded event raises money for the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Program.
