Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Katie Holmes was spotted at ?Jimmy Kimmel Live? studios last night (April 4).
The ?Mad Money? mommy looked cute and casual in a denim jacket with a printed dress and red heels as she exited the Hollywood locale.
Coming up later this month, Katie?s little girl Suri Cruise will turn five years old, and Holmes can?t wait to celebrate.
She told Ryan Seacrest, ?This is my favorite day of the year. She wants a pinata and her girlfriends to come over and go swimming. We?re gonna make cake together.?

Parenthood is definitely an adventure, and Katie Holmes found that one out first-hand during a recent trip to New York City.
During her interview on the ?Ellen DeGeneres Show,? the ?Mad Money? mommy shared about how her daughter Suri got her hands on some gummy candy that was shaped in a peculiar way.
?Recently, I took her to get ice cream in New York at this place called Serendipity that we go to all the time. It?s for kids. The clientele is children. We go in and we are waiting for a table and she grabs some gummies that are boy part gummies. I was horrified. P-e-n-i-s gummies. I said, oh wow those aren?t Swedish fish.?
?They are called p-e-n-i-s gummies and they look like it. She was holding the box and I was like ok, wow we don?t need that right now. Because I thought if I said put that back and then she?s going to say, what is this? And I really didn?t want to have that conversation. I was like, why are selling these here? This is for kids. And then it was on the cover of a magazine that I?m giving her those gummies.?

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes attended the premiere of Katie’s The Kennedys at the Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills yesterday. Kennedys was dropped by Starz but picked up by Reelz Channel. Katie was off-leash and didn’t even have the look of fear in her eye! But she still wasn’t allowed to talk to anyone.

Last night was the big premiere of The Kennedys, the miniseries that was produced by The History Channel, only to be booted off the channel because of the sketchy take on the story of the Kennedys, and perhaps because of Katie Holmes? brave take on Jackie Kennedy as a robot. Anyway, the miniseries is now being aired on the Reelz Channel, which I don?t think I have, alas, so I won?t be watching. But I can still enjoy the photos! Katie wore this summery Ralph Lauren dress? I think it?s cute, but it seems like a strange choice for a March premiere. I do like that Katie isn?t doing the Kate Middleton-blowout thing with her hair, though. She was doing that too much. As for Tom? he made the effort to match his lady, and he even let her wear the higher heels. Poor Tom, I feel like he?s getting shorter. And since we always do it, here?s the photo investigation of his heels:
He?s wearing smaller lifts. They probably gave him an extra two inches, tops. But he?s not the star - and that why Katie was allowed to tower over him!

Less than a week away from her much-talked about project's debut, Katie Holmes was joined by husband Tom Cruise for The ReelzChannel world premiere of "The Kennedys" in Beverly Hills, California on Monday evening (March 28).
Held at AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater, the Tinseltown power couple worked the red carpet as they ready for the upcoming miniseries to begin airing on ReelzChannel on April 3rd.
Having been dropped by the History Channel, the work focusing on the the former U.S. President and his family boasts the beautiful Miss Holmes as Jacqueline Kennedy while Greg Kinnear plays John F. Kennedy.
Of the decision to let another network premiere "The Kennedys," a rep from the History Channel told press, ?While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand. We recognize historical fiction is an important medium for storytelling and commend all the hard work and passion that has gone into the making of the series, but ultimately deem this as the right programming decision for our network."

These are photos of Katie Holmes? appearance last night at the ?premiere? of The Decision. What?s that, you ask? Katie stars in the short film (commercial) called The Decision, which promotes John Frieda Precision Foam Colour. The commerical is about the Katie Holmes character ?Joan Hudson? who is ?a high-profile actress who leaves her colorist and decides to start coloring her own hair.? Katie said about the experience: ?I love the idea of doing a short film about something I feel is really important to women! I also love being a part of promoting a product that is available to all women.?
So? this whole thing is basically just an advertisement for hair color. That being said, I?m intrigued. I?ve been meaning to dye the grey out for a few years now, and I never get around to it. Should I try John Frieda Precision Foam Colour? The Kate-bot endorses it!
Regarding Katie?s ensemble: the jacket is Stella McCartney, the pants are Alexander Wang. FabSugar has more details here - it?s interesting to me that the ensemble actually costs $2400-plus. As I?ve said before, Katie is just one of those women who makes expensive clothes look super-cheap. That being said, Katie does look kind of cute here. Her makeup in particular looks great.

She's certainly hoping for a warm reception after having recent works panned by critics and on Tuesday night (March 22), Katie Holmes turned up for a special screening of "The Decision" in New York City.
Held at Lavo while hosted by the "Dawson's Creek" darling and John Freida, the red carpet affair drew out attendees including Tinsley Mortimer, Alison Brie and the lovely Julie Benz, among others.
Decked out in a white tuxedo jacket with a black top, black pants and polka-dot heels, Miss Holmes' latest offering is a short film in support of the new John Frieda Precision Foam Color - with Katie playing "a high-profile actress who decides to sack her colorist and dye her own hair instead" named Joan Hudson.
Talking about the role and product in which it endorses, the 32-year-old recently dished, ?I love the idea of doing a short film about something I feel is really important to women! I also love being a part of promoting a product that is available to all women."

Flashing her eye-catching grin, Katie Holmes was all smiles while out in New York City on Tuesday (March 22).
The ?Romantics? babe and her assistant walked along the streets of the Big Apple, coffee in hand, before hopping into Holmes? chauffeured vehicle.
Coming up tonight, a short film featuring Mrs Tom Cruise called ?The Decision? is premiering in NYC.
Katie teamed up with John Frieda Precision Foam Colour and will star as Joan Hudson, a high profile actress who leaves her hair stylist and decided to take her hair color into her own hands.
?I love the idea of doing a short film about something I feel is really important to women!? Holmes told press. ?I also love being a part of promoting a product that is available to all women.?

There is just something so sad about this Katie Holmes interview. I don?t know? I think it just struck a particular chord with me. Katie sat down for a Women?s Wear Daily (via People) interview, and she talked a little about always traveling, always being on the move, and what she does to make various places feel like home (From WWD via People):
One of her tips for making daughter Suri Cruise, who’ll be 5 in April, feel at home no matter where they are? “Bring lots of crayons, glue good paper and you can turn any room into a very warm, familial place.?
Which is kind of? I don?t know. Yeah, I get that she?s talking about doing arts and crafts projects with Suri, but it conjures up this image of Katie, the robotic girl-child-bride, sitting alone in her latest Xenu-cave, drawing stick figures. But the real sadness (for me) comes with this:
“My husband got me a sewing machine for my birthday,” Holmes said, adding that she likes to get Suri involved. “My mom grew up making curtains and pillows and everything, and it made our home very warm, so I like to do things like that with my daughter.”
Okay, I too got a sewing machine for my birthday? when I turned 10! I used to take sewing classes (I was good) and I was really into it and everything. Now, Katie is 32 years old. And she?s embarking on an ill-fated second ?career? as a ?fashion designer? and she fancies herself to be ?crafty?. Oh, CB just reminded me that Katie scrapbooks too. It?s just? sad. I?m not saying people who sew and do crafts and scrapbook are sad, I?m saying that thinking about Katie Holmes doing all of those things (while she’s all drugged out or whatever) makes me sad for her.
Also, it?s kind of a funny/odd gift for an A-lister to give his young wife for her birthday, right? Why not give her a broom and a mop, or something else that says ?All I wanted was for you to shut up and be a happy little CoS-bot homemaker??

I am a connoisseur of sweaters. My latest sweater loves are shawl sweater coats, with only two button closures and no tie at the waist. I got the sweaters in a pale green and black - I wore the black one when CB and I went to see True Grit. Now, I didn?t know that Katie Holmes did sweater coats, but here she is in New York last night, wearing a chocolate brown cable-knit sweater coat. I like the IDEA of this sweater much more than the execution. Plus, I think Katie should go down one size, because it?s kind of overwhelming her. And the excess ribbing is overwhelming me. More cable, less ribbing. Still? I want a chocolate brown cable sweater coat!
Also - are we going to talk about how Katie looks high as a kite? No? Okay. Hate the shoes too.
Last thing: Katie has been all over New York, getting pap?d constantly because she?s hard at work selling her clothing line, Holmes & Yang. According to Page Six, the Kate-bot ?is making an aggressive push to retailers for her Holmes & Yang clothing line, which she launched in 2009 with her stylist, Jeanne Yang. On Tuesday, the two kicked off a series of trunk shows for their spring and fall lines at Barneys, which has carried their collection for two seasons. It remained a mystery as to whether Holmes’ daughter, Suri, contributes in any way to the line, as reporters were told by handlers that questions about the cute youngster were forbidden.? With this zombie face as the ?face? of your clothing line, would you expect it sell? No. Beyond that, Katie is a crap fashion designer.
