Back in the States following an overseas trip to Asia, Katie Holmes was back to doting on her little princess in New York City on Thursday afternoon (June 14).
The 33-year-old actress ventured with 6-year-old Suri Cruise to Jacques Torres Chocolate store as the mother/daughter duo loaded up on some tasty sweet treats.
As for her trip to Asia, Mrs Tom Cruise happened to be doing some promo work for Artistry on Ice in China.
During a press conference in Taiwan, Katie revealed her fitness efforts in which she uses to knock off the calories, as she said, ?You know I like to run, I like to ride my bike, dancing, doing yoga, swimming," adding, "Not all at once and not all in the same day.?
The brunette beauty added that the kitchen is one of her preferred places to unwind, explaining, ?I like cooking, making healthy things, well sometimes healthy, and sometimes not, but I don?t stress out about it too much.?

She has always been a big fan of world travel, and Katie Holmes got to go to China to promote the new Artistry on Ice skating event yesterday (June 13).
The ?Dawson?s Creek? darling wowed the crowd at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing thanks to her low-cut dress and a hint of cleavage.
Along with the outfit, Katie also sported a custom-made gold necklace with an ?S? on it, to symbolize her adorable daughter Suri, made by Tobey Maguire?s wife Jennifer Meyer.
As for her position as ambassador for Artistry on Ice, Katie explained, ?I used to watch ice skating on TV and being able to see it live with the high level of skilled skaters and the beautiful environment that Artistry creates for everyone is so thrilling.?
?Participating in this beautiful show and being able to watch China's own gold medalists, Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo, skating along with other skating stars is going to be extremely exciting.?

Traveling thousands of miles to take part in an artful skating event, Katie Holmes attended the "Artistry on Ice" press conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Beijing, China on Monday (June 11).
The "Batman Begins" actress looked flawless for the event in an off-the-shoulder black dress and ballet inspired heels as she posed for awaiting photographers before taking to the mic to talk about the exciting performance ahead.
As the promotional ambassador for the ice skating extravaganza as well as for the Artistry brand, the brunette beauty is looking forward to seeing gracefulness of art and ice skating come together and said, "Participating in this beautiful show and being able to watch China's own gold medalists, Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo, skating along with other skating stars is going to be extremely exciting."
Although this isn't the first time that Miss Holmes has been interested in watching skating, she seems just as thrilled to be a part of the event explaining, "I used to watch ice skating on TV and being able to see it live with the high level of skilled skaters and the beautiful environment that Artistry creates for everyone is so thrilling," adding, "I am looking forward to the show here in Beijing."
Aside from being a great spectacle to the eye, the performance is also for a good cause as the 33-year-old explained, "Artistry will donate 5,000 painting art kits to the children of migrant workers, so as to improve their art studying conditions and nurture them to appreciate art."

Bidding farewell to the Big Apple, Katie Holmes was spotted boarding a helicopter with her daughter, Suri , in New York City on Friday (June 1).
Before climbing in the chopper, the former "Dawson's Creek" cutie almost had a major wardrobe malfunction when the first layer of her short dress flew up her back, but thankfully an extra layer of her frock covered her rear end as she said goodbye to a friend.
On the business front, Katie has been keeping busy with filming her latest movie which is a a big screen adaptation of Anton Chekhov?s ?The Seagull,? in Kent, Connecticut.
Earlier this the 33-year-old actress was spotted taking a break from filming by jumping into a pond with all of her clothes on in Conn. with Suri.

Getting in some quality mommy daughter time, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise enjoyed an afternoon together in New York City on Wednesday (May 30).
Tom Cruise's lady looked fabulous for summer in a high-waisted denim skirt, slouchy button up and tan booties while her little fashionista kept it trendy in Pink capris, a grey t shirt and her usual silver ballet flats while walking the Big Apple sidewalks.
Enjoying her time off with her darling 6-year-old, the 33-year-old actress has been hard at work filming for her new ?Seagull? based movie in Kent, Connecticut.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the untitled Christian Camargo directed movie is said to be based off of Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull" and is set in rural New England where reckless desire wreaks havoc over Memorial Day weekend as a family confronts the volatile and fragile nature of love.
Also starring alongside Miss Holmes is Allison Janney, William Hurt, Juliet Rylance, Mark Rylance and Jean Reno. At this time no exact date has been announced on when production will wrap or when we can expect to see the film on the big screen.

Clad in a too-cute purple cardigan, blue print dress and silver ballet flats, the fashionable youngster toted a nearly life-size plush Pink pig by her side as she and her plaid shirt and jeans-wearing momma made their way around the Big Apple.
In other stylish news, Katie has just been named as ambassador of Tommy Hilfiger's new Promise Collection, which helps aid his efforts as the Millennium Development Goal global leader.
Every dollar earned from the line will be directly invested back into the Millennium Promise charity in hopes to slash world poverty in half by 2015.

Sporting a pair of skinny jeans teamed with brown ankle boots, the former "Dawson's Creek" cutie made her way through the Tribeca area of Manhattan and looked to be in need of her high-priced hairdresser.
Katie enjoyed some mommy-daughter time with Suri Wednesday night (April 25) by taking her to a Manhattan bakery for a cupcake, clinging to what seemed to be a much needed boost of caffeine.
Recently Holmes' rep has cleared up pregnancy rumors saying, ?It?s not true,? in response to the Star magazine rumor that Katie had dropped a ?Baby Bombshell.?

The ?Dawson?s Creek? darling looked beautiful with a makeup-free complexion, sporting a grey wrap sweater and blue jeans as she walked past a few paparazzi.
As for the continuous rumors that she?s expecting another baby, Katie is definitely not pregnant with a little brother or sister for Suri.
A tabloid claimed, ?She?s struggling to contain the news. She can?t wait to be a mom again, and the sooner she can tell the world about it, the happier she?ll be,? but a source close to Holmes calls the report ?false.?
In response, Mrs Tom Cruise's rep said, ?She is not pregnant. It?s [a weekly magazine report]. Why would they be a credible source. It?s the same publication she sued last year and won.?

Katie Holmes’ love for fug booties knows no boundaries, and she’s wearing them in every one of these photos except for the one above, which was taken at the Vanity Fair Oscar party and was the last time that she and husband Tom Cruise were photographed together. These days, Tom’s been very busy shooting Oblivion in New Orleans, and In Touch reports that Katie is “happy on her own” in New York City while hanging out with Suri. This comes in sharp contrast to last summer when Katie and Suri were in Miami almost the entire time while Tom was filming Rock of Ages. They swam and ate ice cream and watched Tom rock out on a balcony at their hotel. Now? After five years of marriage, Katie is allegedly much happier when overbearing Tom is not underfoot. Did someone have a contract renegotiation?
Katie Holmes used to be a near-constant presence on the sets of Tom Cruise’s films. But while Tom has been in New Orleans for weeks shooting Oblivion, Katie has barely visited her husband.
Holed up in NYC with their daughter, Suri, Katie has been putting distance between herself and her husband, according to the insider. And Tom, 49, will have to get used to it. The insider says that after half a decade as his wife, Katie, 33, is no longer intimidated by him. “Reaching her fifth anniversary gave Katie the confidence to walk away when Tom acts up,” the insider says.
And he’s been acting up a lot lately, putting pressure on Katie to have another baby. Though he’s desperate for them to conceive again before his 50th birthday in July, she has mixed feelings and refuses to give into Tom’s pressure to have another baby. “They’ve been fighting about it for a month now,” the insider reveals. And while Tom has been clearly unhappy, Katie is no longer rushing to his side. “It’s easier for her just to avoid him.”

Meanwhile, In Touch also reports that Tom is feeling very dejected that his wife is no longer doing everything he wants precisely when he wants it, so he’s taking it out on the Oblivion cast and crew:
Tom is not his usual self. Normally friendly Tom has seemed “very, very serious,” says a set insider.
Tom’s acting like a diva. He’s taking out his anger on staffers by making them stay mum while an insider says his co-star Morgan Freeman has no such set rule.
Tom’s Ridiculous Rider:
No talking to Mr. Cruise unless he addresses the cast/crew first.
No cell phones or portable electronic devices with photo capabilities allowed on set (no iPads!)
On-set eating or drinking is only allowed during specified break times.
Tardiness can result in immediate dismissal.

Eh. This sort of on-set behavior isn’t exactly new for Tom. Sure, people tend to describe him as a very friendly guy when he’s “on,” but he’s also known to be something of a Nazi at times. And of course, I’m not drawing an overwrought metaphor but actually talking about Tom’s role as a pseudo-Nazi in Valkyrie, where he was said to have raised a huge stink on set when someone farted during an obligatory moment of silence. Also, banning cell phones and iPads is typical on movie sets these days because studios are very paranoid about internet leakage (as they should be). Is Tom dejected that Katie no longer spends her entire life on his movie sets? Probably, but I doubt he’s taking it out on anyone in a public manner. He’s gotta protect that “nice guy” image.
Still, I tend to think there’s some degree of truth to this story at least as far as Katie relishing her relative independence. Instead of spending months in hotels just to be near Tom for the entire duration that he films a movie, she’s been spending a lot of time alone in New York with Suri. Then she and Suri jetted down to New Orleans (where Oblivion is shooting) for a few days this past weekend. Katie wore her fug boots everywhere, and she looks a bit strained in this photo. Given that Tom is rather manic, he’s probably exhausting to be around on a long-term basis.
In addition, it bears mentioning that Katie and Suri did not travel to New Orleans alone. They made a mini-vacation of it by bringing Katie’s parents along too. In this photo, there’s a real baby in that stroller, and it freaked me out a bit because I was expecting one of Suri’s dollies. Maybe it’s a Scientobot — their models are looking more lifelike every day.
Just a few days ago, Katie was spotted back in Los Angeles wearing white pants and her fug booties. Those shoes will haunt my nightmares tonight.
