She can?t wait to be back on the small screen, and Katie Holmes has quite the project in the television pipeline.
Though the forthcoming ABC pilot is still untitled, GossipCenter has learned that Holmes will play ?a well-bred and educated woman who runs a philanthropic foundation with her husband,? and that her name is Ann.
Furthermore, the show will be a ?high-society drama? according to Entertainment Weekly, and will be set in the swanky Upper East Side of Manhattan.
?Behind the Candelabra? scribe Richard LaGravenese will helm the project, which is sure to have plenty of high-end clothing, snooty society functions and brilliant backstabbing!

She got her start as the adorable Joey on ?Dawson?s Creek? and now Katie Holmes is getting back to her roots on the small screen.
The ?Mad Money? actress has agreed to star in a new untitled drama by Richard LaGravenese to air on the ABC Network this fall.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, ?Holmes will play Ann, a well-bred woman who is described as Audrey Hepburn-esque. She and her husband run a philanthropic foundation that helps bring clean water to African villages. Childless, she thinks she'd like to raise a family, but she can't get her philanthropic husband to settle down in one spot for very long. Margot and Philip make a bet to reveal the lie of true love by destroying Ann?s perfect marriage.?
Rufus Sewell is also on board for the show, which will be directed by Taylor Hackford and executive produced by LaGravenese, Erwin Stoff, Ilene Staple and Wren Arthur.

Katie Holmes covers the April issue of Elle UK. I don’t know what she’s promoting, so I’ll just pretend she’s here to talk about her hot hookups with Jamie Foxx. No? Katie has four movies in post-production (including The Giver with Meryl Streep and Alex Skarsgard), but none of them are coming for a few months. That’s not to say that Katie doesn’t have things to discuss. She’s been chatting about how much she loves her new life. She’s was very visible at NYFW and may be angling for something in the fashion world.
Speaking of fashion, this story got buried (perhaps intentionally) during the madness of Oscar weekend. Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang have officially ended their Holmes & Yang line. Page Six says the two women called it quits “due to interpersonal conflict” and because Jeanne wouldn’t tone her love of the spotlight. That’s really weird, right? I think people will more readily believe that the line ended because it was a budget-looking mess. Let’s do some Elle UK excerpts:
Divorce teaches lessons: “I think all of our experiences bring us to a greater understanding of ourselves and help us realise what is most important. That being said, I have three older sisters and one older brother and I went to an all-girls school, and have always been a fan of women. I support women and all experiences give you more insight into others, as well as yourself.”
Is she a feminist? “Ummm. I identify with women. I identify with people who work really hard. I think … I love strong women and I love strong men and I love being inspired by people who fight for what they believe in and work hard and are creative. And have integrity. I don’t think (the word feminism) is problematic.”
On make-up: “I was pretty lucky … I?m the youngest of five with three older sisters, so when I was a little girl, I spent a lot of the time in the bathroom just watching them. I was intrigued by make-up and my mum was very frank with us and said, ‘There are natural beauties in the world, but make-up enhances.’”
How she raises Suri: “Children are exposed to so much more than we were, I suppose every generation goes through that feeling, ‘Oh my God, it’s so different from how I grew up. I think the basics are very important: the number one thing is making sure my child feels loved. And good about herself. And that what she does and who she is, is special and important, and should be celebrated.’ And my mum always said, ‘No one loves you like your mother.?”
On Dawson’s Creek nostalgia: “The world has changed so much since then. Social media, and what people are watching. But I think innocence was one of the draws of the show. It was these kids going through first love and heartbreak and growing up and friendships changing. So I’m glad that the innocence still holds up.”

The feminism stuff is interesting. I feel like Katie is trying not to say too much in response to those questions — maybe because she knows whatever she says will be dissected endlessly by the media. Katie plays it safe by talking more about Suri, and what she says on that topic is very true. Katie has risen from the Scientology ashes looking like an excellent mother who will do anything to save her child from a cult. And Tom? Who knows where Tom is right now.
Katie’s discussion of make-up makes me giggle a bit. She rarely wears makeup unless she has to do so. I’m the same way, so that’s not a dig. It’s just weird that Bobbi Brown hired Katie as “their face” when that face usually walks around NYC looking like she just left the gym.
The rest of the Elle UK shoot is pretty but uneventful. I’m including some photos of Katie looking surprisingly fashionable in a leather mini trench coat. She had lunch in NYC with a mystery man. Hmm.

Good news is seldom as interesting as controversial gossip, so I don’t expect many comments on this story. It is still worth discussing how happy Katie Holmes is compared to a few years ago. Remember those sad photos of a bedraggled Katie wandering aimlessly in Manhattan? Her outward appearance — messy clothes, no makeup, and noticeably grey hair — told everyone exactly how she felt inside. Katie was never allowed to go anywhere without her Scientology minders and bodyguards. She couldn’t even enjoy living in one of the most amazing cities in the world. These days, life is a whole lot different for Katie and Suri. Katie is absolutely thrilled to live her life in freedom and can’t stop gushing. She’s also talking up her partnership with Kohl’s to fund research for breast cancer:
Katie Holmes is in love — with the Big Apple!
“I love the community in New York. I love New Yorkers. I ran into someone on the street the other day that I went to high school with,” Holmes says. “I love the moments of spontaneity every day.”
Since splitting from husband Tom Cruise in July of 2012, Holmes, 35, and daughter Suri, 7, have called Manhattan home.
“New York has been very good to both of us,” she says. “I love the theater, the galleries in my neighborhood. Stuff [like] that is so much of what makes me love this city. I love the Knicks. I love talking to my neighbors in the elevator. I like feeling a part of something big.”
One project that’s definitely big for Holmes? Her commitment to the fight against breast cancer. The actress is teaming up with Kohl’s department stores to encourage women to start a conversation about breast health in an effort to confront what she calls the “pink elephant in the room.”
“I’ve known a lot of people who have been diagnosed and women tend to take care of everyone else before our own needs,” Holmes says. “Becoming a parent made me much more aware of my own health. I want to be there for my child for a long time.”
Beginning Feb. 18 through March 8, Kohl’s will donate $1 to Komen, a breast cancer organization, for every Pink Kohl’s Cash coupon redeemed. That adds up to a minimum of $100,000 up to $1 million.
The department store is also selling Pink elephant necklaces from the LC Lauren Conrad collection, beginning Feb. 19, with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward the fight against breast cancer through Kohl’s Cares, the company’s philanthropic platform.
“Hopefully it will cause women to have the conversation and really support each other through prevention,” Holmes says of her efforts. “It affects one in eight women and anything I can do to help I’m on board with.”

The words “I want to be there for my child for a long time” mean a lot to any parent. I do suspect that Katie also wants to make sure she’s around to keep Suri from ever living with Tom. Beyond that, it’s great that she’s so happy. New York City is an amazing place and a dream home for many people. Katie’s fortunate to have escaped the Lift Monster so she can live her dream life with Suri. It’s good to know that they are both happy and that her struggle for freedom was worth it. Happy gossip endings do happen!

The ?Batman Begins? beauty shared an adorable photo of herself from when she was just seven years old, rocking a blouse, vest and a perfectly tied bow on top of her curly brown locks. She definitely bares a resemblance to her daughter Suri Cruise.
In addition to the Throwback Thursday snap shot, Miss Holmes added, ?Me at age 7. :) #TBT.?
On Wednesday, Katie also shared a pic of herself facing the blustery day in New York City, adding the caption, ?Another windy day! Happy Wednesday :) stay warm!!!!!!!"

These are more photos of Katie Holmes at New York fashion week where she’s attending as a spectator instead of (thank goodness) a designer. We covered her black leather and sheer skirt at the Donna Karan show, but I’m ready to forget all about that outfit in favor of this one. I think this is the best Katie has looked since her pre-Tom Cruise days. The double-breasted coat is amazing, and I wish we could see the dress Katie’s wearing underneath it. The bag is alright, and I’m ignoring the Louboutins (poor girl never gets shoes right), but otherwise, this is a fantastic look for Katie. She’s one of the few people who can get away with flat-ironed, center-parted locks. Her skin is glowing too! She must be getting some.
Speaking of getting down and dirty, I’ve made no secret of rooting in favor of those rumors that Katie and Jamie Foxx are hooking up all over the place. These rumors have been heating up for months, and I’ve been wondering what Tom Cruise thinks of the situation. This week’s issue of the Enquirer says Tom is not happy at all. No surprise there, right? The cover (which is in the gallery) says Tom has gone “berzerk and feels very “bitter” over his buddy bangin’ his (3rd) ex-wife. Here are some details from the story:
Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx have been good friends ever since teaming up in the 2004 big screen thriller Collateral – but now a woman has come between them.
And it isn’t just any gal – it’s Tom?s ex-wife Katie Holmes!
The ENQUIRER previously broke the news that Oscar-winner Jamie has been secretly seeing the Batman Begins beauty, even spending nights at her New York apartment. Although Jamie insisted at the time he wasn?t dating his pal’s ex, published reports have subsequently claimed that they were together during Super Bowl weekend.
And Tom is said to be furious about it.
“Tom feels hurt and deceived,” confided a source.
Back in our October exclusive, we reported that Katie and Jamie were desperate to keep their relationship under wraps.
“Neither of them wanted this affair out in the open,” said an insider. “Jamie wanted to keep it quiet because he figured Tom would consider it a betrayal of their friendship.”
And that, apparently, is just what happened.

I don’t know whether the Enquirer has actually spoken to a Tom source or if they’re merely painting by the numbers with this story. Regardless of how the Enquirer wrote this tale, it’s completely believable. It’s not hard to imagine that Tom would throw his lifts at the ceiling at the thought of Jamie and Katie getting busy together. Tom helped Jamie get started in Hollywood, and Tom expects unyielding loyalty. Tom expects the world to fall at his knees. Tom can suck it.

Here are photos of Katie Holmes at New York fashion week. She was attending the Donna Karan show. As you can see, Katie was not dressed in her usual attire of randomly coordinated separates paired with a fug bootie. She seems a little bit uncomfortable, right? Her hair looks great, but she’s posing like the leaning tower of Holmes.
Stand up straight, Katie. You’re no longer married to a man with a Napoleon complex!
(That was a low blow, I admit, but it wasn’t directed towards Holmes.)
Katie’s been all over the place at New York fashion week. I don’t know what’s going on with her Holmes & Yang label. We covered her Spring 2013 ready-to-wear line, and then she and Jeanne Yang put together a Spring 2014 ready-to-wear line too. That’s the last trace I can find of the label, but I could be missing something.
The point here is that Katie did not attend the Donna Karan show in a designer capacity. Holmes was a spectator, and she had a grand time sitting next to her new bestie, Rita Ora.

Starting off the day with some mother-daughter time, Katie Holmes stepped out to take her little one Suri Cruise to school in New York City on Tuesday (February 11).
The former "Dawson's Creek" star donned a red-and-black sweater with jeans as she and Suri made their way through the busy streets to the school.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, rumors have continue to circulate over the possibility of Holmes secretly dating "Django Unchained" star Jamie Foxx.
Although no one seems to know for sure, the New York Post produced a report stating the two stars have been seen together on multiple occasions since last summer, and an insider reportedly told the newspaper that they are keeping their relationship under wraps, adding, "Jamie is being careful because he has a lot of respect for Tom."
However, the 46-year-old actor already addressed the gossip first surfaced, stating, "[The rumors] are 100 percent not true. In fact, it's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people."

Having escaped the great northern snow storm, Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri showed up in Miami, Florida on Thursday evening (January 2) for some retail therapy.
The ?Disturbing Behavior? actress and her adorable little girl hit up a few stores before calling it a night and grabbing some frozen yogurt while Holmes? security team tried to keep the shutterbugs at bay.
In career news, an insider told OK magazine that Katie would love to do a ?Dawson?s Creek? reunion if only to patch things up with former co-star Michelle Williams.
The source explained, ?She wants to make amends with Michelle. Even though it's arguable that Michelle was the main aggressor on the set. Katie's over all that now and she's much more confident and stronger as a person and will let bygones be bygones.?

The actress was spotted sunbathing poolside as her little girl played with a friend. Holmes, who celebrated her 35th birthday earlier this month, looked amazing in a hot Pink bikini while texting and chatting on her cellphone.
Holmes is currently filming a role in the film adaptation of the popular novel The Giver alongside Taylor Swift, Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, and Alexander Skarsgard.
