Getting to work on her latest film, Sandra Bullock was spotted hard at work on the set of ?Extremely Close and Incredibly Loud? in Brooklyn, New York on Friday (March 18).
Sporting a frumpy look for her role, the ?Blind Side? actress looked to be having a marvelous time on set in between takes.
This marks the first film for Bullock in over a year and a half as she took a hiatus while going through a divorce from Jesse James and adopting her son, Louis.
In other news, being the charitable woman she is, Sandra recently donated $1 million to the Red Cross for disaster relief in Japan.

Going about her daily doings, Sandra Bullock ventured out of her New York City home yesterday (March 16) while leaving her little boy Louis in the hands of trusted caretakers.
The "Blind Side" beauty kept it casual in the city in a loose black t-shirt, knee-length jacket, black leggings and boots.
The outing comes as one organization is thanking Sandra after she donated $1 million in support of the Japan disaster relief, saying,"This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan."
This isn't the first time the Oscar winner has shown such generosity, as Sandra also gave $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to aid in the Haiti relief effort after the devastating earthquake there in January of 2010.

These are new photos of Sandra Bullock leaving her house in New York City. I think Sandra and Louis have been spending a lot of time in New York lately, for whatever reason. And it?s the only city they seem to get consistently pap?d in. I think Sandy looks really good in these photos - she looks healthy and content, and I like that she even gives the paparazzi a smile. So classy.
In addition to getting back to work, hanging out in New York with her son, and generally being cool (and maybe being a lesbian too, of course), Sandra also donated one million dollars to the Red Cross, to help support the people of Japan:

In other Sandy news, In Touch Weekly (via Jezebel) is reporting that Jennifer Aniston is trying desperately to throw Sandy a big pity party. According to the tabloid, Sandy and Aniston are ?bonding over their breakups” and Aniston and Courteney Cox have invited Sandra to be part of their First Wives Club. God, I really hope that isn?t true.

I think the thing to do is feel some kind of sympathy for Sandra Bullock. Because it?s all over her face - this time last year, she was at the height of her winning streak, she gushed about her husband from the Kodak Theatre stage as she accepted her Best Actress Oscar, and she had quietly adopted a baby boy (which we wouldn?t find out about for another two months). Sandy was in a much different position this year, but I liked that she didn?t play it for sympathy. You got the feeling that she truly just wanted people to pay attention to the nominees. I?m glad that she chose a bright red gown - Sandy is not going to play ?The Widow James? in black. Sandy?s red is Vera Wang - it?s not really the most flattering color on Sandy, and I think her makeup is a little underdone, but still. You?ve got to love her. Her presenting Best Actor was another one of my favorite moments - especially when she called Jeff Bridges ?dude?.
Jennifer Hudson in orange-red Atelier Versace. During the red carpet show, this dress looked more red, but in photos, it looks totally orange. Whatever. Now, while I think J-Hud looks great and I?m proud of her for losing the weight and being healthy? I hate this dress on her. It?s just the top - and what it?s doing to her boobs. It?s really ugly and unflattering and trashy. And I hate saying that about J-Hud, but the boob situation in this dress is tragic.
Jennifer Lawrence was one of my best dressed of the night - I thought this Calvin Klein dress looked amazing on her. I don?t know if it was fully lined with all-body Spanx or what, but there was not one bulge or lump anywhere on her body. I also loved that she kept her hair down and her makeup simple. She?s very young, and she looked simple and sexy and appropriate.
Since the theme is ?ladies in red? - Selena Gomez in a red Dolce & Gabbana dress at the Vanity Fair party, with her lover Justin Bieber. No comment.

Ready for a full night of Hollywood awards show action, Sandra Bullock turned heads as she arrived for the 83nd annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (February 27).
The brunette beauty brightened things up in a lovely red frock as she sashayed into the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center venue to tend to her presenter duties.
Making for quite the star-studded affair, other celebrity presenters hitting the stage include Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry, Jude Law and Matthew McConaughey.
Meanwhile, the Oscar Awards are hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco while airing live on ABC at 8PM ET.

Staying on top of her physical fitness, Sandra Bullock stepped out for a gym visit in New York City on Thursday (February 3).
The "Blind Side" actress bundled up in a black puffer jacket and workout gear as she sipped on a coffee to pep up for the day-starting sweat session.
As for her personal life, it sounds as if Miss Bullock is being prevented from seeing ex Jesse James' daughter Sunny due to his new romance with "LA Ink" star Kat Von D.
With the pair having recently gotten engaged, a source told Life & Style, "Kat was at Soho House in LA on Jan. 23 showing off her engagement ring and gabbing about how she wants her wedding to be better than a circus."
The insider added, "She said she wants lots of animals. Then when her friend mentioned Sandra, Kat said she hopes she realizes she won't be seeing Jesse's kids anymore."
