Here’s a photo of Jennifer Lawrence rushing into the Ed Sullivan theater before her David Letterman appearance. He loves having her as a guest. They always go off the rails together in spectacular fashion. It’s a very different experience than when Katie Holmes stopped by a few nights ago. As always, Dave and Jennifer entertained their audience. There was some ugliness after the show, which I’ll get to later.
I’ve been searching for a full clip of JLaw’s appearance, but there are only bits and pieces so far. All serious topics were off the table except for the ongoing strep throat madness. Jennifer and Dave limited their discussion to stuff like colonics. For real. JLaw wants to get one done with Josh Hutcherson, and it would be a “platonic colonic.” From what Jennifer has said before, she needs no help in that department. Jennifer also revealed that she once visited Nick Hoult in Namibia and thought his house was haunted. Dave asked if she really believed in ghosts, and JLaw responded, “Of course I do, I believe in anything unrealistic.” Here’s the clip where JLaw and Dave commiserated over their mutual stomach issues:
In this clip, Jennifer talked about her very good friend, Justine, and their first meeting. Justine lacks just as much of a filter as JLaw, who repeated her friend’s first sentences to her in Letterman’s ear. I think Letterman blushed in response.
There’s more. Jennifer said the The Late Show would be really boring after Letterman retired. She talked him into walking offstage with her. Then JLaw returned to take over Dave’s desk for a minute. Oh, and Dave and Jennifer sang together. It was so bad it was good.
Something awful happened after the show. When Jennifer left, she was greeted by a huge crowd of autograph seekers. Someone did or said something to make JLaw flee from the crowd. It’s an absolutely frightening moment, and it happens around the 0:50 mark in this clip. Her security saw something and tried to block her view at the last moment, but she saw it anyway. Then she ran like crazy. My guess is that someone printed off one of the stolen photos. Whatever happened, it really upset Jennifer. (Update: The barricade started to fall.)

| Jennifer Lawrence: 'I will never get Twitter. The internet has scorned me' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jennifer Lawrence and her boys, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, are doing the rounds for Mockingjay: Part I in London. Jennifer still has strep throat, and so does Josh. Both of them admitted during this BBC interview that they’re on very strong antibiotics to get them through the press tour. JLaw said she had two drips yesterday, and “I passed out in the hallway.” That sounds terrifying. I guess studios will pump their stars full of anything to get them through promotion. JLaw also pays lip service to her ulcer on the Catching Fire tour — remember how she told Letterman how exhausted she was? I hope Lionsgate knows what they’re doing.
Jennifer was animated during this group interview with the BBC. She kept interrupting Liam, so I guess she felt okay enough. Jennifer has already talked about how she has no desire to become more accessible on social media, but she never fully elaborated. BBC got an explanation out of Jen:
On social media: “I will never get Twitter. I’m not very good on phone or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me. I don’t really understand what it is. It’s like this weird enigma that people talk about. It’s fine, I respect that, but no, I’ll never get a Twitter. If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that says it’s me, it most certainly is not.”
She rehearsed this answer: “I had that one locked and loaded,” she said with a laugh. “I really like laser focused [on that answer] … it’s because the internet has scorned me so much that I feel like it’s that girl in high school that I’m like, ‘Oh, you want to talk about her? Yeah I’ll do that!’ Take my hoops off, I’m ready to go.”
[From BBC One]
Can you blame Jennifer for feeling this way? Even if the stolen photos had never happened, the internet is still a beast. People are rough on Jen and either strongly admire or vehemently dislike her. She’s been very aware of the backlash to her “aw, shucks” persona for years, so I don’t blame her for not wanting to engage online. I’m a JLaw fan, but I’m glad she’s not tweeting about farts on Twitter. Have you seen the responses that celebrities receive whenever they tweet something, anything? The replies are a strange mixture of sexually explicit requests and people shouting, “MOM!” Crazy.
A few more pieces of JLaw news:
* At the London premiere, Donald Sutherland raved about JLaw to MTV News. The man now known as President Snow (to an entire generation) said, “You don?t get a chance to work with a genius all that often and that’s what she is.”
* Director Francis Lawrence spoke with the Radio times about how nervous Jennifer was to sing “The Hanging Tree” for this movie: “She?d probably tell you it was her least favourite day. She was horrified to sing, she cried a little bit before she had to sing. But she did it and she did it all day — and she hated me for making her do it all day — and it?s great. She’s so sensitive about the singing.” Awww, JLaw.
* Here are some photos of Jennifer’s appearance with Liam on Germany’s Wetten, dass..? on Saturday. The hosts had JLaw cut a cake and serve it to audience members despite the strep throat.

Continuing promotions for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," Jennifer Lawrence flashed her perfect smile on the cover of Madame Figaro.
Rocking a modernly-patterned dress, the 24-year-old actress posed for the Power Chic issue before chatting with the French magazine about her fame associated with the mega-franchise.
When discussing her decision to accept the role of Katniss, Jen explained, "I hesitated three long days before accepting Hunger Games. I dreamed of independent films. I was afraid of being identified as a prominent character for young people. At 20, one is rarely faced with a decision that will have such an impact on their future."
In addition, Lawrence opened up about her fashion sense and explained that before teaming up with Dior, she wasn't a fan of walking the red carpet. "I never felt comfortable in these glamorous dresses," Jen explained.
The Oscar-winning actress added that she was a Tomboy while she was growing up in her hometown in Kentucky.

Last month we got a preview of the stunning new ad campaign from Miss Dior and now there are even more gorgeous snapshots of Jennifer Lawrence with the latest line of handbags.
Captured by Patrick Demarchelier, the new spread features the ?Hunger Games? actress, sporting several suits designed by Raf Simons, with the all new Be Dior bag.
Previously, Jennifer shared how she prepared for her latest Dior campaign, and it?s all about feeling strong.
?I feel like any time you get in front of the camera, it?s important to have a character in mind or an emotion, just so you have something in your eyes. A powerful woman is someone who exudes confidence and can be tough but fair and kind. And also knows how to get what she wants.?
