Here are some assorted photos of Jennifer Lawrence out and about in NYC over the past few days. She?s been wearing that grey and cream coat a lot and I know why: because it?s FAB. Great coat! Jennifer has been making the rounds to promote Joy, which has already earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy. She stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night ? here?s a lengthy clip of her interview:
She joked about losing her Southern accent (I don?t think she?s lost it completely), whether her publicist hates her, and puking, of course, because she?s J-Law and she has to talk about bodily functions. She got a stomach virus while working on Joy in Boston last year and this is what she said:
“I got a stomach virus. I was puking and the poor guy?I had to make out with somebody?we were like spinning and I’d start puking and then I’d like do mouth wash and be like, ‘Hey, you ready?? Licking my chops like, ‘Ugh, let’s do it!’ I puked yesterday. I’m a puker. I’m a big-time puker. I think I have, like, nervous…I think that I don’t stop working, because I’m a show pony. I don’t have a choice. So, I just keep going, I think, until eventually my body’s just like, ‘If we don’t make her barf or pass out, she won’t stop.? I get, like, Lindsay Lohan grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol. I’m always in bed early, but I’m still tired.”
[From E! News]
While J-Law is America?s Farty Sweetheart?, I think it?s a mistake to name-check Lindsay Lohan in any way. We?re almost done with Lindsay at this point ? she?s not even worth the effort to use as a punchline. And just you wait, now that Jennifer has used Lindsay?s name in an unkind way, Lindsay will totally sue her.
Also: I?m so glad I?m not a puker. I?ve been battling a bad cold the past few days and I coughed so much yesterday that I almost threw up, and I said a little thank you to the universe because I was able to hold it back. I can’t even imagine puking on the reg.

Here are some photos from last night?s NYC premiere of Joy, the film that could possibly earn Jennifer Lawrence her fourth Oscar nomination at the age of 25. Last week, J-Law scored a Golden Globe nomination (for lead actress in a Comedy/Musical) but not a SAG nomination. But the nomination shortlists are so scattered this season, I have to think that J-Law is still a major contender for an Oscar nomination when it comes down to it. The Academy loves her, even if critics aren?t in love with this particular film or performance.
For the premiere, Jennifer wore this simple Dior Haute Couture gown. It looks like a dozen other dresses she?s worn before, and while I think she looks pretty, the whole look is sort of a snooze-fest. Even her styling seems kind of blah. Speaking of blah and Dior, Jennifer told E! News that she really wants to go twinsies with Amy Schumer at the Golden Globes ? the BFFs are nominated in the same category (Schumer is nominated for Trainwreck) and J-Law said: ?We’re going to try to figure out to wear the exact same thing. That’s my mission. I really want us to wear the same thing. She’s going to have to wear Dior. I’m just going to have to have Dior make two of whatever they’re making for me.? This will be Schumer?s first time at the Globes, correct? She may want to actually pick her own dress, I?m just sayin?.
Here are some additional photos from last night?s premiere. In addition to J-Law, I?m including pics of Bradley Cooper, Elisabeth Rohm (who plays Joy?s sister) and Virginia Madsen (who plays Joy?s mom). Virginia?s dress is SO unflattering. Elisabeth?s dress is amazing though. Also: J-Law?s FROSTED EYESHADOW. You can take the girl out of Kentucky, but you can?t take the Kentucky out of the girl.

| Jennifer Lawrence is EW's 2015 Entertainer of the Year: good call or boring' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

It really is amazing to see Jennifer Lawrence?s star rise so quickly, just over the course of about three years. She?s only 25 years old and already an Oscar winner, with two more Oscar nominations in the bag, and maybe another one this year. She?s part of two major franchises, The Hunger Games and X-Men. She?s the muse to director David O. Russell. And she?s truly funny and silly and ?real.? So, obviously, she?s Entertainment Weekly?s Entertainer of the Year for 2015. Some highlights from the interview:
Being part of two franchises: ?It?s crazy. I signed on to these projects when I was 20 years old. I remember being like, ?Oh my God, I?m going to be 25 when I?m finished. It seemed so far away.?
Saying goodbye to Katniss: ?It does feel over. It didn?t for a while and I didn?t think it would ever sink in, but it has now. It feels over. And that?s okay. It?s okay to move on.?
Working with David O. Russell: ?David and I will never, ever, ever, ever not do movies together. I love him so much that sometimes I can?t talk about him without tearing up. Look! I?m tearing up. I understand every look, every eyeball move, every word he says or doesn?t say. We were made for each other.?
The problem with squading in Hollywood: “People start to feel a lot less guilty when you become bigger or have more money. People feel less guilty taking from you because it’s like stealing a Snickers from Duane Reade [drugstore]. People forget about the personal drain or attack that you feel. I have a very small circle [of friends]. The moment I feel like someone is using me or is in it for the wrong reasons, I have zero guilt about just cutting them the f— out of my life. My bulls— detector is phenomenal. None of my friends bulls— me. Everything in my life has to be real.”
Her wage gap essay: ?Some news show called my essay a ?bratty display? and I was like, thank you for proving my point. Would you have called a man a brat? I was very clear: My problems are not relatable. This is not about money. I don?t need money, I have plenty of money, I?m already overpaid. What I was trying to write about was how my own mentality was getting in my own way…It is harder for a woman to be blunt than a man. It just is. We?re not victims because we have vaginas ? we need to push through that idea. I feel like I?ve stopped all that bullsh?. I say exactly what I mean. I can see that it takes people aback at first, but then they see that?s how you operate: straightforwardly. It?s about being assertive with your voice and not being ashamed.?
The best thing to happen to her all year: ?The best thing that happened this year was when my friend Amy [Schumer] and I got so drunk that we ended up on the top of Billy Joel?s piano. So just to explain further we were on Piano Man?s piano? She was like, ?If you try to leave I?ll grab onto you and keep grabbing onto you until the end of the song so just stay.? And that was really cool because she didn?t have to share that piano with me.?
[From Entertainment Weekly]
Am I the only one a little bit concerned about Jennifer?s friendship with Amy Schumer? I?m not saying Schumer is a ?bad influence? or anything, I just don’t get why they’re suddenly BFFs and “OMG, let’s write a script together” and all of that? Maybe that’s cynical of me, but I’m side-eyeing the friendship. I can see where they would find the same things funny and want to hang out a little bit, but? I don’t know. I get the vibe that Schumer is a little bit of a user (JMO).
Speaking of J-Law?s squad, she was out and about in NYC on Monday night with? Emma Stone. And Adele. Now, those are some #SquadGoals.

Looking back over 2015, Jennifer Lawrence has certainly taken her career to the next level, and Entertainment Weekly has lavished her with a fitting title.
The ?American Hustle? actress was just named Entertainer of the Year on the heels of the successful release of her latest blockbuster ?The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.?
Lawrence told EW, ?It?s crazy. I signed on to these projects when I was 20 years old. I remember being like, ?Oh my God, I?m going to be 25 when I?m finished. It seemed so far away? It does feel over. It didn?t for a while and I didn?t think it would ever sink in, but it has now. It feels over. And that?s okay. It?s okay to move on.?

| Jennifer Lawrence in Schiaparelli at NYC 'Mockingjay' premiere: lingerie-fug' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lawrence at last night?s New York City premiere of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II. Is this the last big premiere for the film? Maybe. I think they?re done with the European part of the tour, but maybe there are some big Asian premieres left? Anyway, I?m trying to decide what I think of Jennifer?s Schiaparelli gown. I mean, it totally looks like the nightgown of an aging Hollywood siren in the 1940s. Which isn?t a bad thing. I think I would like it more without the dark lip, maybe? The lipstick is so dark, it gives the whole look a ?goth? feel when it could just read as lingerie/glam.
Anyway, there are so many J-Law stories, because of course there are. She?s like a one-woman entertainment machine. Jennifer was one of the women selected for this year?s lily-white Best Actress roundtable for The Hollywood Reporter. I?ve read half of the piece so far and it?s pretty interesting. Brie Larson is trying to get in there, Cate Blanchett is pretty chatty, and Helen Mirren seemed at adore J-Law in particular. You can read the Hollywood Reporter piece here. I can?t believe they didn?t think to include one single woman of color. WTF?
During the Hollywood Reporter roundtable, Jennifer told one story that has been making a lot of headlines. She recently wrapped on her sci-fi romance, Passengers, which had her filming her first real love scene with Chris Pratt. Jennifer said she had to get drunk to get through it:
?Everything was done right; nobody did anything wrong. It?s just a bizarre experience?. [I had to get] really, really drunk? but that led to more anxiety when I got home [after] because I was like, ?What have I done? I don?t know.? And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn?t tell my stomach that. So I called my mom, and I was like, ?Will you just tell me it?s okay?? It was just very vulnerable. ? That was the most vulnerable I?ve ever been.?
[From THR]
If we?re being technical about this, it wasn?t her first time kissing a married man. Chris Martin was still technically married ? although separated and ?estranged? at the time ? when they started dating. While I appreciate Jennifer?s honesty and vulnerability, I do think it?s a bit of an overreaction?
Last thing: J-Law did a skit with Jimmy Fallon last night. It’s meh.

| Jennifer Lawrence is the 'most valuable actor' for the second year in a row | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I genuinely enjoy the ?most valuable? lists. Then again, I?m a gauche American and I love talking about money in general, and since we Americans are obsessed with being seen as a meritocracy, the Most Valuable list is perfect. Not only is it about money, it?s about how much money various actors bring in plus their star power/likeability. And once again, if you?re a studio and you want to make money on the shoulders of an actor, you should totally hire the young woman covered in Dorito dust, Jennifer Lawrence. You can see Vulture?s list of Most Valuable Actors here.
Vulture.com today released its fourth annual Most Valuable Stars list and Jennifer Lawrence took the top spot for the second year in a row. ?Put very simply, she is the leading movie star of her generation,? Vulture?s editors write. The list ranks Hollywood?s 100 most valuable movie stars based on an exclusive formula that weighs a variety of factors including domestic and international box office, Twitter mentions, Oscar nominations, critical respect, feedback from Hollywood insiders, and a star?s overall ?likability? (as determined by E-Poll).
The top three spots on the list remain unchanged from last year, with Jennifer Lawrence followed by Robert Downey Jr. and Leonardo DiCaprio, who kept his place despite not releasing a film in the last year. Bradley Cooper rose to No. 4, thanks to the megahit American Sniper, which was 2014?s highest-grossing film domestically, followed by ?franchise Viagra? Dwayne Johnson at No. 5, Tom Cruise at No. 6, Hugh Jackman at No. 7, Sandra Bullock at No. 8, Channing Tatum at No. 9, and Scarlett Johansson at No. 10, moving up 21 spots on the list from last year.
Debuts on the list this year include Amy Schumer (No. 39), Margot Robbie (No. 88), and Idris Elba (No. 97). The most notable gainer on the list was Chris Pratt, who jumped 57 points to No. 11 and also topped every other star’s likability score, even those of beloved veterans like Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock.
[From Vulture]
Can you imagine the likability/value of a film starring J-Law and Channing Tatum? OMG. Someone needs to put them in a movie together, stat! Vulture also had a comparison list for the top ten between 2014 and 2015. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were on the top ten of the 2014 list, but dropped off the top ten of 2015 list. Tom Hanks also dropped off top ten too. How in the world did Chris Pratt not make the top ten? It seems like he?s the male J-Law. And yes, I side-eye the inclusion of Tom Cruise at #6. Really? Just goes to show you, his movies are still making crazy money overseas, thus he’s “valuable.”
And if you have a few minutes, check out J-Law gently handling the awkward flirtations of Olly Murs. I feel bad for him because he?s a big deal in the UK but Jennifer literally has no idea who he is. She thinks he’s just some random BBC guy.

Here is Jennifer Lawrence stunning in a floor-length white gown as she arrived at the premiere for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 in Los Angeles.
She wore her short, blonde locks in a side part and styled in soft curls, and added a pop of color to her look with cherry red lipstick.
Many of the scenes in ?Mockingjay ? Part 2? were filmed in Paris, and before the audience got to witness the spectacular results, Lionsgate chief Jon Feltheimer pledged support to the City of Lights.

Here are more endless premiere photos from the Mockingjay Part II promotional tour. Last night was the big LA premiere for the film, and Jennifer Lawrence managed to not go ass over tea kettle in front of the cameras. So? it was a good night, for her at least. No one on the carpet spoke to the assembled media outlets, something about respect for the victims of the Paris Attacks. Many of the stars wore the Mockingjay pins with small, French tricolor ribbons attached. J-Law wore her pin/ribbons on her coat.
Jennifer wore Dior, like she has at almost every big carpet for this film. I get the feeling that as the tour progresses, we?re moving into the Dior dresses she doesn?t really care for. This one is okay, but it looks like a wedding gown that?s been repurposed as a red carpet gown. For Dior, it also isn?t giving me a luxurious vibe. This feels like a dress any designer could have made. That being said, I love the look when she?s wearing the coat.
Natalie Dormer wore Vivienne Westwood, brilliantly representing an English designer. I really love this gown. Westwood gowns are so flattering.
Jena Malone in Gauri and Nainika. I love this too! See, I think this would have looked amazing on J-Law. To me, this dress outshines Jennifer?s Dior.
And hands down, my favorite gown and the most striking and enchanting look of the night? Elizabeth Banks in Dolce & Gabbana. I love her style. I love that she rocked this look. She?s such a badass.
