Showing some love to their German fans, the cast of ?The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2? converged for the Berlin premiere at Potsdamer Platz Theater on Wednesday (November 4).
Clad in a plunging burgundy gown, Jennifer Lawrence smiled from ear to ear as Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth joked around with the paparazzi.
Furthermore, Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, Willow Shields, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Jena Malone and Natalie Dormer got all gussied up for the World Premiere event, ahead of the flick?s November 20th release here in the States.

Jennifer Lawrence knows how to take a breather from the spotlight, but she’s fixing to be everywhere for at least the rest of the year. If she receives her presumed Oscar nomination for Joy, then she’ll be in our faces for a few more months. I’m excited not only to see her but also see a bit of Internet implosion. JLaw makes an impression whether people like to admit it or not.
These are photos of Jennifer with Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater hand (and foot) print ceremony. She was not wearing Dior! JLaw’s outfit was A.L.C. with a snug white shirt atop an asymmetrical flared skirt. This was sort of dressy casual, and I liked it. In addition, Jennifer didn’t have to worry about flashing the world when she bent over. Good call. While on the red carpet, she spoke with People about a lot of stuff including her op-ed about pay disparity between men and women:
On her equal pay essay: “I would love to straighten up that I wasn’t writing about not making as much as my male co-stars, as complaining about that I wasn’t getting paid more because I’m a woman.”
On fame: “Your entire world changes. Now it’s very easy for me because I’m isolated. I have a new normal now. I feel very stable, and normal, and happy, but it took a few years to get used to being looked at differently. It’s kind of an alienating feeling. You don’t feel different but everyone reacts to you differently. It was a few years of getting used to it. Then it was ‘OK, let’s get back to work’ and people react and can do whatever they want. That’s fine and it’s on them. I have a job. That’s how I think of it.”
She can’t take time off: “I remember there have been a few times where I would have loved time off. But I was very aware of how overwhelming these movies and this character was, and that was a big fear of mine signing on to these movies. I want people to be able to lose themselves when they’re watching a movie and not see the same character. I try to keep working so people can see other characters and other things I can do instead of taking vacation time, and now I’m aging like a president. I hate waking up without a goal or going to sleep without achieving nothing.”
[Via People& NDTV]
She’s talked about fame before and how she had difficulty coping despite knowing that she could potentially reach a Twilight level of insanity. But JLaw learned how to disappear and make the best of things. As for aging like a president? This is a harmless joke, but some will likely take offense. I completely understand what she’s saying though. Lack of sleep feels terrible if that’s what she’s dealing with. Granted, she’s making many millions of dollars, so JLaw isn’t like one of us peasants who work the same amount of hours for normal-people lives. I admit accepting this statement from Jennifer because she’s one of my favorites. Is she complaining, or was this just an offhand comment?

She?s been prepping for the release of her new movie ?The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2? as of late, and it looks like Jennifer Lawrence is also fronting a new campaign for Dior.
In the just-released preview images, the ?American Hustle? hottie plugs the new range of Fall/Winter 2015 accessories from the beloved French label, under the watchful lens of photographer David Sims.
J Law gives off a hypnotic vibe while posing with the Be Dior and Diorissimo handbags, described by the brand as ?a riot of animal-inspired motifs and bold color.?

Jennifer Lawrence is starting to do the rounds for both Mockingjay 2 and Joy, so we should get some interesting interviews in the coming weeks and months. I hope we get some new photos too because she’s staying outta sight lately, and the same photos are getting lots of play, but I do covet this blue dress from Comic-Con. Not that I’d have anywhere to wear it besides to hang in front of the laptop working, but a girl can dream.
This interview is interesting because JLaw seems acutely aware that anything she says can and will may be held against her in a court of the gossip-reading public. She doesn’t speak about one of her favorite subjects, food, and she doesn’t say anything super sarcastic. She admits to feeling put down by people’s reactions to her candid goofiness and fart-loving ways. Oh, and she says she definitely isn’t too young to hit her 40s in Joy. I love JLaw, but she’s going too far with that one:
The pressures of stardom: “I picture myself drowning. Outwardly, I look like I’m having a blast, and I am, at least on some levels. There I was – burp, burp, burp – just a little gal from Kentucky getting discovered by big ol’ Hollywood. But inside I’m terrified. In an instant – boom – everyone’s listening, everyone’s looking.”
She’s different from fame: “You want to know how I’ve changed? I’m so scared to say anything now. I can see every negative way that people can take it, and I don?t want to sound like I’m complaining. ‘Oh, she’s so conceited now. Oh, she’s so jaded now.’ It probably comes from Googling myself. If it were up to me, I would not talk. I would just act … You try being 22, having a period and staying away from Google. I once Googled ‘Jennifer Lawrence Ugly.’ [Laughs] Do I sound bitchy? I can’t think of a more wasteful use of my time than to worry about this. Why do I care what people think? But I do. I just can’t pretend I don’t care. I get really insecure about it. The world makes an opinion of you without ever meeting you. That worry should not bother me, but it does. It bothers me.”
How she copes: “I find a certain peace by thinking of me in public as sort of an avatar self. You out there can have the avatar me. I can keep me. And I just try to acknowledge that this scrutiny is stressful, and that anyone would find it stressful. So I’ve got to try to let it go, and try to be myself, and focus on important things, like picking up dog poop.”
On being a mother of two in Joy: “David gets visions. He’s in his own beautiful, amazing world. Those kinds of silly questions don?t really matter to him. It?s not like I was old enough for American Hustle. And I was way too young for Silver Linings” That’s why I almost didn’t get it.”
[From New York Times]
Well, all I have to say about Jennifer playing older roles is that I hope she enjoys it while it lasts. Because there’s always a younger actress waiting in the wings for her turn as the ingenue. Jennifer has a lot of talent, and perhaps one day, she’ll be one of the fortunate ones to stick around long after age 40. She has what it takes, for sure. Competition is always fierce though, and she peaked so early in her career that constant financial and critical acclaim may be hard to maintain forever.
JLaw would do well to stop googling herself, especially about the “ugly” thing. Why would you want to do that to yourself? She’s so wacky.

| Jennifer Lawrence's 'Passengers' suffers disaster rumors, but is it even filming' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In the wake of the Sony hack, Jennifer Lawrence quickly neared a $20 million salary to star in Passengers, a space drama co-starring Chris Pratt (who would make $12 million). The film was later greenlighted, which left me with mixed feelings. There are plenty of space dramas out there, and The Martian will capture a major audience this year, which could result in space drama burnout. However, I am always happy to see JLaw succeed, especially because I still see her as an underdog. She’s successful, but so many people would love to see her topple. Yes, she can be immature at times, yet she’s a terribly talented actress with loads of charisma. I do think she deserves to be Forbes highest paid actress right now.
Passengers may already be shooting, which is news to me because IMDb says the film is still in preproduction. Is it really filming yet? If not, this New York Daily News article about on-set filming disasters sounds totally made up:
“Production has been grappling with budget problems because of the pricey space suit costumes which cost $20,000 to create and design,” says our source, “There has also been various creative differences and disagreements with one of the producers, and glaring similarities to the movie Titanic which the studio is worried makes Passengers feel more like a parody than a good love story set in an abandoned space milieu.”
We hear there’s even a line in the script in a scene between Lawrence and Pratt in which she tells him “If you die, I die,” which has been causing stifled laughter throughout the set during filming.
“It’s been a lot of headaches and problems,” says our source. “A documentary about the making of this movie would be better than this actual movie.”
Our source adds that Sony is being really careful about overspending on costumes and wasting money, and have become “frugal.” “The whole thing is chaotic,” says our source.
Lawrence and Pratt are being paid a pretty penny for the blockbuster, with Pratt making a cool $12 million and Lawrence raking in $20 million plus 30 percent of the box office after the movie breaks even.
[From New York Daily News]
Eh. IF this story is true, it sounds like a script issue being used as an excuse for people to jump all over Jennifer Lawrence. This makes me pretty sad. Make no mistake, if this film fails, the blame will largely fall on her shoulders because people are so eager to blame leading women for box-office failures. Whereas male stars like Vince Vaughn and Johnny Depp have starred in multiple flops and still hold onto their A-list status. Think of it this way – JLaw has yet to star in a big-budget movie that hasn’t made major profits, but we’re still hearing about this in terms of a JLaw problem. Whereas if Chris Pratt was holding onto the larger salary, we wouldn’t have heard about this story at all.

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are together in Chicago right now. We know this because JLaw couldn’t stop gushing over their friendship, and they have buckled down in the windy city to finish their comedy screenplay. The studios will be all over that one, I imagine, as will Judd Apatow be to direct. The two will star in a buddy film to put both the Wedding Crashers and Lethal Weapon movies to shame. Eh, actually, I’m not sure if JLaw’s comedy skills will translate on the big screen. She’s so goofy in real life, but she’s an actress with a dramatic flair.
Anyway. People are sometimes annoyed by both JLaw and Amy, so I appreciate that they enjoy antagonizing folks by being fabulous together. Their jet-skiing vacation was the best, and they reportedly are always glued together by text now. So of course they decided to have fun during their Chicago screenwriting stint. Amy and JLaw went to the Billy Joel concert and participated in a synchronized dance during “Uptown Girl.” Amy comes in at about the 2:00 minute mark in the video. Then JLaw comes in a few seconds later with other dancers. It’s really cute.
Soon enough, the two women were barefoot and dancing on top of the piano. Man, Billy Joel gets all the ladies. This is the sort of song that could make anyone happy, and everyone is having so much fun together. I’d much rather be on top of a piano than be glued to a computer, wouldn’t you?

| Jennifer Lawrence is Forbes' highest paid actress with $52 million: worth it' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here’s the new poster for Joy, the next David O. Russell movie starring Jennifer Lawrence. Just in case you wanted to look up JLaw’s nose (and she wouldn’t mind), take a good look. The movie comes out on Christmas Day, which means I’ll have to make a tough choice between this film and Quentin Tarantino’s Hateful Eight. Decisions, decisions.
Forbes published their annual list of highest paid actresses, and JLaw came out on top with $52 million in earnings over 12 months. They measure from June 2014-2015, so there’s plenty of Hunger Games coin in there, along with what she earns to cover herself in blue body paint for the X-Men franchise. She also receives millions each year to wear poorly designed Raf Simons dresses for Dior. The second name on the list is a welcome one, Scarlett Johansson, who came in with $35 million (much of that for her Black Widow role). She may not appear in much of the Marvel marketing materials, but at least they’re paying her. You can see the whole list here. Melissa McCarthy comes in third place, and Bingbing Fan pops in as a new arrival in fourth with $21 million.
Is Jennifer worth $52 million per year? Uh, yeah. She makes a lot of money for film studios and Dior. People can’t stop talking about her, whether positive or negative. JLaw’s also very well positioned to keep making good money after Mockingjay: Part 2 hits theaters. At age 25, she could stop working now and live well forever, but actresses run far behind the leading male actors. Robert Downey Jr. was announced as Forbes’ highest paid actor with $80 million, which is surprising since he hasn’t had a solo hit in years but still makes more than the other Avengers actors (and much more than Scarlett).
One more thing. This new Mockingjay 2 poster contains a hidden oopsie. Someone probably got canned for this mistake.
