Jennifer Lawrence?s Vogue interview last November was a really great read ? J-Law has mastered the art of giving punchy, funny and controversial soundbytes, and she was particularly confessional about her non-existent love life. Jennifer has been officially single since her weird, on-and-off thing with Chris Martin ended last year. Before that, it was an on-and-off thing with Nicholas Hoult. Well, according to Star, J-Law is lonely. She doesn?t just want a hookup, she wants a relationship and she?s developing a bad attitude about it?
Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most sought-after women in Hollywood ? but she?s feeling like persona non grata when it comes to love. The blonde beauty, 25, was overheard dishing all the gritty details to a friend over cappuccino at Alfred Coffee + Kitchen in Hollywood on March 7.
?Jen was talking to her friend about how Chris [Martin] was the last guy she hooked up with ? and that was seven months ago!? reports the witness. ?She said that she knows she could find random hookups, but she wants someone she cares about.?
Jennifer has opened up about her lack of luck in finding love. ?No one ever asks me out,? she admitted. ?I am very lonely every Saturday night.?
But part of the problem is her own bad attitude, says a friend: ?She?s not exactly a social butterfly. She?s in a slump and feels hopeless, and that puts out a bad vibe. It?s just a vicious cycle of being single.?

I would argue that J-Law is basically the biggest star of her generation, and it?s difficult for her to find a guy at ?her level? or a guy who is okay with her enormous fame and success. Not that she is in any way obsessed with guys being at her level – she could totally date someone outside of Hollywood and be quite happy, I think. I personally would love to see Jennifer go back to Hoult, just because they seemed to really care about each other and he always seemed fine with her stardom ? unlike Chris Martin, who seems like the most delicate flower in the world when it comes to being outshone by his wife/girlfriend. Now, all that being said? it pisses me off that anyone would label Jennifer as ?hopeless? and use such negative language about her, just because she?s single. J-Law is ?just like us? ? hopelessly dateless on a Saturday and BITTER!
Meanwhile, Jennifer seemed to slap back at claims that she?s done with the X-Men franchise after X-Men: Apocalypse in an interview with Empire just published this week. She previously declared that Apocalypse was her last one, but now she says: ?I am dying to come back. I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it?s not on anyone?s shoulders.” Yeah, we?ll see. I predict this will be her last one.

She looked happy as a clam as she sipped on beers and went snorkeling with pals while relaxing on a yacht just off the coast.
The Hunger Games wore a dark blue bikini patterned with flowers that revealed her enviable cleavage and toned limbs. The bikini top had string fastenings while the bottoms sported bows at the hip.

We?re really tired and we?re going to be saving some of the Oscar-party coverage for tomorrow, because photos are still coming in, etc. So enjoy this, the tailend of today?s Oscar and Oscar-party coverage. While Jennifer Lawrence made a point of not doing much press (or any press?) on the red carpet of the Oscars, she was totally up for the post-Oscar parties. J-Law changed out of her Dior gown into this Alexander Wang two-piece dress for the Vanity Fair party. Tell me the truth: does this surprise you? Isn?t this the exact kind of ensemble you would have expected on Taylor Swift? Tay-Tay?s been going through a bandeau-top phase, and I guess Taylor finally made it happen. I actually think this is completely terrible on J-Law. It looks dated and sloppy. It?s unflattering. It?s not properly tailored. Just bad, bad, bad.
And here?s Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake. I wondered why Biel was at the Spirit Awards over the weekend, but I guess she?s just doing the party circuit this month. Sure. Jessica?s dress is Zuhair Murad and it is matronly.

This year?s conversation about #OscarsSoWhite actually hijacked an annual conversation that Hollywood has internally, which is ?why can?t the big movie stars get nominated?? While Leonardo DiCaprio is a big movie star, the majority of the acting nominees are not household names (in households that don?t read gossip blogs daily, like all of you!). Brie Larson is not a household name. Neither is Alicia Vikander, Saoirse Ronan, Mark Rylance or Rooney Mara. It?s the same every year ? there are usually a few recognizable, big-name celebrities and then the rest of the positions are filled by indie actors, actors that really aren?t big-name movie stars who can carry a movie. Besides Leo and Matt Damon, there?s one other notable exception this year: Jennifer Lawrence. J-Law has become America?s Sweetheart in such a short time, it?s really surprising. She?s the Sandy Bullock/Julia Roberts of the new generation. And this year, J-Law gets another title: the highest paid Oscar nominee!
This Sunday?s Academy Awards have already disappointed many by overlooking the likes of Will Smith and Idris Elba in the Best Actor categories. One star who will be shining: 25-year-old Jennifer Lawrence, who earned her fourth Oscar nomination for Joy to become the youngest person to notch as many nods. Lawrence was recognized this year for her turn as Miracle Mop entrepreneur Joy Mangano in the David O. Russell-directed dramedy, which split critics. In the Best Actress category, she is up against Cate Blanchett (Carol), Charlotte Rampling (45 Years) and FORBES? 30 Under 30 honorees Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn) and Brie Larson (Room).
Unlike her fellow nominees, however, Jennifer Lawrence also managed to top our list of Highest-Paid Actresses. She earned an estimated $52 million pretax between June 2014 and June 2015?the scoring period for our most recent ranking?thanks to paychecks from the Hunger Games trilogy, upfront compensation for Joy and a lucrative Dior contract.
Lawrence, who made more than Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper in the same time frame, was bested only by Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man banked $80 million pretax thanks largely to his disproportionately favorable paydays in Marvel movies like Avengers: Age of Ultron. But Downey, who has Oscar nominations for Tropic Thunder and Chaplin to his name, is not in the running for an Academy Award this year. That makes Lawrence a very rare combination: A highly bankable star who is also a favorite with critics.

I think it?s cool that this year, the most money-making nominee is a woman under the age of 25. Represent, J-Law! There really isn?t anyone else doing it J-Law-style these days, male or female, in this age bracket. I think Emma Stone is possibly a contender, but Emma is the centerpiece of two major franchises like J-Law (although Emma tried with Spider-Man). Now, all that being said, even Forbes notes that ?given Hollywood?s cyclical popularity stakes, to prevent the backlash inevitable when a public figure has been too liked and too prominent for too long, it may be best for Lawrence if this year?s Oscar goes to a newcomer.? Yes. And as we?ve seen, J-Law isn?t campaigning this year, which is good. All she really has to worry about is not picking an awful Dior gown and not falling down for the millionth time.

Here are some street-style photos of Jennifer Lawrence yesterday in LA. She went out to lunch with a friend, it seems, and wore short-shorts and a denim jacket reading ?PERV.? So real, you guys! I?ll admit, I like J-Law and I think she?s very funny and talented. But why in the world would she buy a jacket with the word ?perv? on the back? Is she 13 years old? Does she think that word is super-funny?
Anyway, there?s surprisingly little to discuss when it comes to J-Law these days. While she?s been photographed a lot in the past week, it wasn?t at any Oscar-campaigning event or even a New York Fashion Week event. She was just in NYC, doing some shopping and hanging out with friends. She hasn?t been campaigning at all for her Oscar nomination this year. Which is fine, because Brie Larson is pretty much a shoo-in for the Oscar and why would Jennifer waste her energy when someone else is a sure thing?
Here?s one thing we haven?t discussed yet: J-Law spent Valentine?s Day with Aziz Ansari. They?ve been friends for months, and V-Day wasn?t the first time they hung out. But it did seem like a Valentine?s Day DATE ? they went to the Commodore in Brooklyn, just the two of them, and had a big meal of nachos, mac n? cheese and fried chicken. I feel like people are immediately going to ?they?re just friends? when really? it seems like they were on a date. Like, are J-Law and Aziz a couple? That?s the rumor.
PS? I?m adding some bonus photos of Jennifer in NYC several days ago. In one photo, she?s doing the double-denim/Canadian tuxedo thing, and in another, you can see her dog Pippi.

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lawrence out and about in New York City this week. She went to dinner at Nobu on Wednesday with friends, and on Thursday, she was out during the day for some shopping. Those are the photos of Jennifer in black pants and a black leather shearling coat. The coat is one we?ve seen on Jennifer before ? it must be her ?New York coat? or something, or maybe it?s just her favorite/the warmest. The coat is Alberta Ferretti! Just FYI. According to Page Six, J-Law stopped by Alexander Wang?s boutique and got some special treatment:

The designer?s store was shut down for an hour, and customers were turned away, so the Oscar winner could shop in total privacy. The star was casually dressed in black pants, a white T-shirt and a warm leather-and-shearling coat. The night before, Lawrence was spotted heading to dinner at Nobu.

J-Law isn?t Just Like Us after all. No, I?m not going to slam her for getting special treatment or not wanting to shop with the peasants, although I bet Alexander Wang wasn?t happy about having to turn people away from his boutique? during FASHION WEEK! My God.
Meanwhile, have you noticed something weird about Jennifer Lawrence?s Oscar campaign this year? Have you noticed that she?s not campaigning? J-Law got her fourth Oscar nomination in six years for Joy, but she?s barely done any campaigning this time around. She oversaturated the media late last year, when she was promoting the final Hunger Games movie and Joy at the same time. And she?s gone to every event in which she?s been invited this year, but she?s not doing any more interviews or screenings or lunches or meet-and-greets. This feels like her first time off in years, and she?s probably enjoying it a lot. Going out to dinner, going shopping, sleeping like a normal person. Sigh? what Dior monstrosity is she going to wear to the Oscars?

On Monday, the Academy held their annual Oscars Lunch (or luncheon) for the year?s nominees. It was a sea of white faces, because of course it was. It also felt like a pretty low-key moment in the awards season, which is slightly unusual. I remember in years past, the Oscars lunch felt bigger, more fun, crazier, a moment for nominees to let down their hair a bit. Not so much at this point, where nominees are expected to spend half the lunch chatting with media outlets and posing for photos. Anyway, let?s get to the fashion! Let?s start with Jennifer Lawrence in this Stella McCartney suit. I always love J-Law in a suit because it?s sort of a rare occurrence. And I almost always hate Stella?s designs, but I like this. Should the trouser inseam go up a few inches? Sure. But that?s literally my only complaint. I would love to own this suit.
Lady Gaga, wearing one of the cheapest hairpieces I?ve seen in a long time. This Christian Siriano gown is not her color, nor is it particularly nice to look at.
Rooney Mara in Giambattista Valli. I sort of like this dress, but I suspect I would like it more on someone else, like Cate Blanchett. You know what bugs me about Rooney?s styling? Consistently unflattering hair. This center part is doing her no favors. It?s like she doesn?t realize that there are other hairstyles other than ?severe.?
Brie Larson?s Emilia Wickstead ensemble is made of NOOOOooo.
Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton. A totally blah little dress on a blah person. It?s too twee for her, it makes her look even more child-like.
Rachel McAdams ? this Prada is my choice for worst-dressed of the event, which makes me sad because Rachel was been doing really well this awards season. I will say this: this look is ?on trend? with a lot of the women at the luncheon ? there were so many twee, child-like looks that would have been more comfortable on 5-year-old girls.
Saoirse Ronan was one of my favorites ? I love that she wore ?dress shorts.? And tweed! This ensemble is Laura Basci. Very cute.
