| Angelina Jolie 'will never get married again,' she felt Brad 'pressured' her into marrying | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Considering that Angelina Jolie is currently in her Maleficent: Mistress of Evil press tour, she has no issue with speaking on her own behalf. She?s already spoken about how there were times where she did not feel ?safe,? and did not feel ?free of harm.? Which I took to mean that Angelina is speaking in general terms about her last marriage, to Brad Pitt. The marriage that ended up with Angelina grabbing her children and ghosting Brad and never looking back. After that kind of experience which still isn?t over, the divorce hasn?t been finalized of course she?s probably done with marriage entirely.
Angelina Jolie has no plans to ever walk down the aisle again, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The 44-year-old actress ?will never get married again,? the source says, claiming she never wanted to tie the knot in the first place. ?She felt that Brad pressured her.?
Jolie and Brad Pitt exchanged vows in France in 2014 after a decade together. The twosome, who share Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11, called it quits two years later. While they have yet to finalize their divorce, they reached a custody agreement in November 2018. In April, they became legally single amid the ongoing divorce proceedings. According to the source, the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil star is enjoying being on her own.
[From Us Weekly]
Do you think Brad pressured her? The story at the time was that the KIDS pressured both of them, that as they got older, the Jolie-Pitt kids wanted them to get married. Maybe the kids thought that if they got married, their relationship would improve. But their relationship seemed to fall off the fking cliff once they got married. My theory for years was that Brad actually wanted to marry Angelina back when she was pregnant with Shiloh and Angelina was like ?nah, I don?t need that.? So Brad made up that story about how they wouldn?t marry until everyone could (meaning gay marriage). Anyway? will Angelina ever remarry? Fourth time?s the charm? Probably not. While I?m fine with Jolie being done with marriage, I hope she?s not done with romance. I would love for her to find love/joy/hot sex again.
And now Im sad that this was the last wedding gown shell ever wear. It was so bad!

Angelina Jolie has spent the past five days promoting Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and her interviews are still coming out and they are GOOD. She must have done the whole rope line, and done every junket interview. I mean? Disney is paying her and they want this film to be a big success, just like the last one. So of course Angelina is talking a lot. This is what we all hoped for! As part of the junket, Angelina spoke to E! News about how she hasn?t always felt ?free.? These quotes are interesting:
On love: The real truest love pulls out your best self. Its what you value, what youre loyal to and what youre willing to fight for. So I think that truest love does that, and I think for Maleficient?its the surprise that she didnt realize that she had it in her.
On Maleficent: I think Maleficent is wild, I think there is that thing in all of us that is just not safe and not fine, that wants to just have fun and be our best self.
She feels not fine & not safe sometimes too: There have been times in my life where I have felt ? and maybe Ive hidden them well from the public ? where I have not felt free, I have not felt safe, I have not felt like free of harm. I have felt small. I have felt cornered. And it has taken a lot to find that again, probably more of that today than I was in the last four years.?
[From E! News]
?I have not felt free, I have not felt safe, I have not felt like free of harm. I have felt small. I have felt cornered.? Yep. Whatever went down on the plane in 2016 wasn?t ONLY about whatever happened between Brad Pitt and Maddox. Most of the variations on the story said that Maddox actually got in between Angelina and Brad, because he was defending his mom. I really wonder if Angelina is going to talk more about this in the years to come, or if she?ll only speak about it in more general or cryptic ways.
Here?s something slightly more fun Angelina talking on the red carpet about her infamous 2012 Oscar dress, which introduced us to the Leg of Doom (my favorite villain). Seven years later, Angelina?s like ?fk a leg of doom.? No, she gets into the backstory of the dress and she told Extra: There?s a whole longer story behind that ? I had a more complicated dress and I wore the more comfortable dress, which was that one, and I think I was just so comfortable that I think when you feel comfortable, when you feel yourself ? which is very much the theme of the film, and we know this in life ? you embrace it. And sometimes, maybe it appears to be a thing, I don?t know. The Leg of Doom came out because she was super-comfortable in her dress.

Here are photos from the big LA premiere of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to the wildly successful live-action Maleficent. Disney was very happy with the first Maleficent movie, and Angelina Jolie loved the process too, so everyone was eager to make a sequel. Jolie?s Mistress of Evil is still united with her surrogate daughter Aurora (Elle Fanning), and Aurora is about to marry a prince and have a mother-in-law from hell, played by Michelle Pfeiffer.
For the premiere, Angelina brought out the five youngest kids Maddox is in college in South Korea, but the rest of the brood wanted to come out to support their mom. They all sort of coordinated Angelina must have suggested that everyone needed to wear something black. Vivienne in her overalls, Zahara in her gown, Shiloh in a leather jacket, Knox in a Versace suit, Pax looking like he?s about to head out to a Grammy party. Angelina wore Versace and a scorpion brooch on her hip. Magnificent.
Elle Fanning wore an on-theme Gucci dress, like she lives in the forest with Maleficent. She even styled the look with flowers and butterflies in her hair. My thought: Vivienne will look like Elle as she grows up.
Michelle Pfeiffer in custom Giorgio Armani, looking regal AF.
Sam Reilly and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Sam and Angelina got along well in the first film and I?m glad he?s back as Diaval the Raven. Chiwetel is part of the same winged-sorceress species as Maleficent. I love that Disney hired Chitwel for this!!

| Angelina Jolie: 'At my core I?m soft & vulnerable, it's not my dream just to be strong' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Angelina Jolie will be promoting Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in the weeks to come. I?m looking forward to seeing those interviews. But she?s also promoting her contract with Mon Guerlain too she?s the face of Mon Guerlain?s perfumes, including the new fragrance, Intense. To shill for her perfume contract, Angelina chatted with Hello Magazine about Mother?s Day in her house, what she tries to teach her kids, and what it?s like to have so many teenagers right now. You can read the full piece here this interview was conducted in Paris back in July, when Angelina seemed to want to be photographed around the city with her godmother Jacqueline Bisset. Some highlights:
On Mother?s Day: On Mothers Day my children make me breakfast and pick me flowers ? they treat me like a lady. When I do take time for myself, I rediscover that softness I speak of I also realise I have more fight and resilience in me than I knew. But at my core Im soft and vulnerable its not my dream just to be strong. I want to be allowed to be soft and I don?t want to be harmed or feel unsupported when I am.
She loves Paris: Its wonderful to be back in Paris. It reminds me that I dont spend nearly enough time here. Sometimes were somewhere in our lives and cant really imagine something different ? we dont take ourselves out of a place. But when Im in Paris, I feel like a different person ? and I?m curious about that side of myself. It?s enlightening here.
How the latest Mon Guerlain Intense ad was shot in Cambodia: When I first started working with Guerlain in 2017, we spoke about how perfume commercials often capture a fantasy life ? and we wanted to deliver something that was a little heightened but still real. The first Mon Guerlain film was shot at my home in France. For this new perfume, given its strength and our conversations around femininity, freedom and making bold choices, my new home in Cambodia seemed like the natural setting. My [Maddox Jolie-Pitt] Foundation has been based in Cambodia for 17 years and it has been a dream of mine to live in that part of the world. The film is set in the home that I?ve finally built there.
Mother of teenagers: When your children are little you feel more mommy. When they are teenagers you start to remember yourself as a teenager. You see them going to punk clubs and you wonder why you cant go. Im in this fun moment where I?m rediscovering myself.
The values she tries to teach her kids: Kindness ? to others and themselves. Its important to be humble ? know the freedoms you have and what youve been blessed with and make sure you help others. And always remember your place ? we?re all human and very flawed. Were tiny pieces in a much bigger world. As they grow up, I find my children are strong individuals but still open-minded. I try to lead by example and be kind and gracious, as my mother was ? and loving and tolerant. But when theres a fight that needs to be had, get in there. We need to prepare the next generation because there?s so much happening in the world ? they?re up against it. Im working on a programme for children with the BBC. Were counting on our children so we must give them the right knowledge and support.
[From Hello Magazine]
?You see them going to punk clubs and you wonder why you cant go?? DO IT. I?m here for Angelina rediscovering her youthful wild side by going to punk clubs with her kids. Someone break out a new pair of leather pants! And no, I?m not talking about those stupid leather joggers.
What do you make of this: ?At my core Im soft and vulnerable its not my dream just to be strong. I want to be allowed to be soft and I don?t want to be harmed or feel unsupported when I am. I? don?t know what to think? I think she?s saying that she?s not always tough as nails, she?s rarely tough as nails, and she?s not actually not some ballbuster who makes men cry. But? in the context of the Mother?s Day answer, it?s weird.

| Angelina Jolie addresses the American border crisis in a Time Mag column | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Angelina Jolie has written another column for Time Magazine in her role as ?Time contributing editor.? Jolie is obviously very focused on refugee crises, migrant issues, and humanitarian concerns. This week, she puts her focus on the American ?border crisis,? which in my opinion is a self-fulfilling crisis made by the Trump administration eager to demonize brown people. I wish Angelina?s column had been the sentence ?Stop Putting Babies In Cages? all down the page, but no she makes an intellectual argument for the myriad problems we need to solve, or help to solve. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights:
She?s appalled by the babies in cages too: We Americans have been confronted by devastating images from our southern border and increasingly polarized views on how to address this untenable situation. At times I wonder if we are retreating from the ideal of America as a country founded by and for brave, bold, freedom-seeking rebels, and becoming instead inward-looking and fearful. I suspect many of us will refuse to retreat. We grew up in this beautiful, free country, in all its diversity. We know nothing good ever came of fear, and that our own history ? including the shameful mistreatment of Native Americans ? should incline us to humility and respect when considering the question of migration.
America is experiencing what other nations have been experiencing for years: We in America are starting to experience on our borders some of the pressures other nations have faced for years: countries like Turkey, Uganda and Sudan, which host 6 million refugees between them. Or Lebanon, where every sixth person is a refugee. Or Colombia, which is hosting over 1 million Venezuelans in a country slightly less than twice the size of Texas. There are lessons ? and warnings ? we can derive from the global refugee situation.
Addressing the causes of refugee crises: Countries producing the migration or refugee flow have the greatest responsibility to take measures to protect their citizens and address the insecurity, corruption and violence causing people to flee. But assisting them with that task is in our interest. Former senior military figures urge the restoration of U.S. aid to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, arguing that helping to build the rule of law, respect for human rights and stability is the only way to create alternatives to migration. The UN Refugee Agency is calling for an urgent summit of governments in the Americas to address the displacement crisis. These seem logical, overdue steps. Our development assistance to other countries is not a bargaining chip, it is an investment in our long-term security. Showing leadership and working with other countries is a measure of strength, not a sign of weakness.
Stop putting babies in cages: We have a vital interest in upholding international laws and standards on asylum and protection. It is troubling to see our country backing away from these, while expecting other countries, who are hosting millions of refugees and asylum seekers, to adhere to a stricter code. If we go down this path, we risk a race to the bottom and far greater chaos. An international rules-based system brings order. Breaking international standards only encourages more rule-breaking.
[From Time]
She goes on to say that America also needs to change the way immigration courts work, to make the courts more independent and better-functioning, to decrease the backlog of cases and to encourage more lawyers to work pro bono with immigrants, including the ?65% of children in the U.S. immigration system [who] still face court without an attorney.? I mean, she?s incredibly thoughtful and controlled about the way she writes, and I can imagine her saying to herself ?getting emotional and enraged won?t help.? The truth is, she?s not really trying to convince Trump or the Deplorables about anything I suspect she knows they?re a lost cause. But she?s appealing to people of conscience elsewhere in the government, from the State Department to the Pentagon to DoJ. I just doubt there are many people of conscience left.

| Angelina Jolie is doing 'everything from swords to ballet' for The Eternals | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In the heyday of the Uncool Bermuda Triangle Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston it was a regular occurrence for Brangelina to step on Aniston?s newscycles, and vice versa. Guess what? It still happens! Brad Pitt has a big new movie out and there are some nebulous claims of ?Oscar buzz,? so isn?t it funny that days after Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was released, Angelina Jolie called up People Magazine just to give an update on what?s she got coming up. We have to stan. Some quotes from People:
Her kids are excited about her part in a Marvel movie, The Eternals: ?What?s really moving to me is that they [the kids] want to see me strong, and so it?s less to see me in a film, but they?re just happy I will be strong and having fun.?
Her training for Thena: Jolie plays Thena, a superhuman who has superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes. The long list of powers has Jolie giving it her all in training, doing ?everything from swords to ballet.? ?She?s a warrior,? she says. ?I?m going to have to work very hard to give the Marvel Cinematic Universe the Thena they deserve.?
Did you know she has a bunch of stuff coming out too: The project comes during a busy time for the star who next appears in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, a sequel to the 2014 blockbuster Disney hit about the iconic Sleeping Beauty villain. Jolie also has The One and Only Ivan, which she is also producing, hitting theaters in Aug. 2020 and recently wrapped filming the thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead.
Working with Chloe Zhao on The Eternals: ?I think Chloe is going to make a special Marvel film. With all the love and respect for the others and what makes them work, we hope to add something new.?
[From People]
It was a nice PR piece and it just shows her worth to Marvel she?s already a huge name, and she can literally call up People Magazine and give then a few quotes, and BAM, she?s already done more promotion than Chris Hemsworth did for Thor: The Dark World. I?m very interested in all of the training Angelina will be doing for the role Angelina generally loves to do action/adventure roles because she loves the physical training part of the work. Signing on to Lara Croft: Tomb Rider changed her life in a great way, because she really started taking care of herself and she learned that she could put on muscle weight and do some great stunt work and more. Also: does Thena wear a superhero suit? Hm.

| Angelina Jolie stepped out in another sack dress & picked up another bunny at Petco | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie and her youngest daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, out and about this weekend. They went to Petco and it looked like Vivienne got a new bunny. Honestly, it feels like Angelina takes her kids to Petco at least once a month. I get that they?re really nesting and ?settling down? in Los Angeles permanently now, but I feel like the kids have at least five pets EACH. We know from Angelina?s interviews and all of the Petco strolls that Shiloh has lizards and snakes and we know the other kids have bunnies and there?s at least one dog? Probably more like two or three dogs. Six kids and how many animals? Any cats? I feel like there should be some kittens in the mix too.
Anyway, we?re probably going to see even more pap-strolls with Angelina and the kids in the next few months. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil comes out in October, and Angelina is fully on-board the Disney machine, not just with Maleficent, but with Marvel?s The Eternals too (Marvel is owned by Disney). I kind of enjoy the fact that Angelina and Disney are so tight now, and that she?s making the choice to Disney up her image.
Still, the sack dresses, my lord. I understand wanting to wear something breezy and light in the summer months, but look at this she?s actually wearing layers! She?s wearing a slip and then this gauzy sack. And will someone re-introduce Jolie to color? So many beige sacks, so many black sacks. Would I accept a sack dress if it was a lovely purple or red? Perhaps.
Seriously though, how many bunnies do the kids have already? Is it some sort of reward system? ?Do well on this test and we?ll go to Petco and you can get another bunny.?
PS? I?m obsessed with Angelina?s blood-red pedicure.

| So what's the deal with Angelina Jolie's 'Eternals' character, Thena' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
When we first heard about Angelina Jolie?s potential involvement with Marvel?s The Eternals, many outlets theorized that Angelina would play a character named Sersi, who is something like an ageless goddess who lives among humans. But during the Comic Con presentation, they announced that Angelina would not be playing Sersi, she would be playing Thena. Considering that few people really grasp what The Eternals will actually be about and who the main characters really are, we had questions. Well, allow Pop Sugar to try to explain it:
The Maleficent: Mistress of Evil actress plays Thena, a character that has been around since 1976. There are multiple iterations of her character, so it will be interesting to see which storyline Marvel opts for in the film. If the movie follows the 2006 Eternals title, well likely see Thena with no recollection of her history as an immortal superhuman, due to reality warping by a character named Sprite. Instead, she ends up as a researcher at Stark Enterprises and marries a human named Thomas Eliot, later welcoming a son. Its not until the arrival of Ikaris (played by Richard Madden) that Thenas true past will be revealed.
So, what is her past? Originally, Thena is introduced as the warrior daughter of the Eternal Zuras, and their relationship has strong parallels to Zeus and Athena. Shes seen bopping around Athens, and is known for her impressive intellect thanks to studying with mortal and Eternals teachers.
[From Pop Sugar]
So Thena is a sideways version of Athena, goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. Awesome. It also sounds like Angelina will be playing a sideways version of Wonder Woman-with-amnesia, right? Like, she?s a super-powerful goddess but she doesn?t remember that she?s a powerful goddess so she just marries some dude and has a baby and then Richard Madden shows up and she?s like ?oh wait I don?t have amnesia anymore?? Fk it, I?d watch that.
Here are some photos of Angelina out shopping with Vivienne and Zahara this week at the Century City Mall. I love how often Angelina has to take her daughters shopping at various malls around LA. Also: this sack dress is like the mother of all sack dresses.

| Angelina Jolie stepped out with her godmother Jacqueline Bisset in Paris | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Angelina Jolie has been in Paris for the past three or four days. I think the trip is half-business, half-pleasure. A few days ago, she shot a new ad for Guerlain, and the paparazzi got some shots of her in lingerie, looking tousled and beautiful on a balcony or something. Then they photographed her out and about in Paris this week, and the photos are very pretty. She stepped out solo in white slacks and a pale grey sweater which I WANT, it?s so gorgeous. And then she caused, like, an international incident when she spent time with Jacqueline Bisset.
Bisset is actually Angelina?s godmother Bisset knew her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and I think Bisset knew/knows Jon Voight too. Bisset and Angelina seem to check in with each other every few years. While Bisset is English, I believe she lives in France most of the time, if not all the time. Maybe Angelina called her godmother up for lunch while she (Angelina) was in town, I really don?t know. Angelina and Jacqueline have hung out twice in two days, and on Tuesday, when they exited the hotel, a huge group of people swarmed around them. It was all very epic. Bisset looks amazing, right? Angelina looks great too I love her summer maxi dress. It?s such a good dress that I suspect she didn?t pick it out herself.
You know what I wonder? I wonder if Angelina Jolie was doing more than a Guerlain shoot while she was in Paris. We?re in early July, it?s conceivable that was doing a photoshoot for an October-issue magazine in Paris, right? Maleficent: Mistress of Evil comes out in October! Perhaps a Vogue shoot? I wonder if Mario Testino or Annie Leibovitz is in Paris this week too.

| Angelina Jolie organized an immersive escape-room birthday party for Shiloh | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
As we discussed this week, Brad Pitt skipped his daughter Shiloh?s 13th birthday. He was in Cannes last week, and he?s in Venice this week with his artist friends. Angelina has been living full-time in LA for a couple of years now minus a stay in London to work on Maleficent and she and the kids really have put down some roots there. Anyway, I tend to think Shiloh has always taken after Angelina in her sort of fearlessness and eagerness for adventure. Shiloh seems like an extremely well-adjusted kid given the level of fame of her parents and the traveling-circus bubble of the Jolie-Pitt family?s life. Shiloh has always been a tomboy, eager to skateboard and play soccer and do whatever her brothers are doing. And so Angelina organized a special treat for Shiloh?s birthday: an hours-long adventure at The Basement LA.
Angelina Jolie knows how to host a party! The actress threw an epic bash in Los Angeles on Monday, to celebrate daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitts 13th birthday.
The party went down at The Basement LA, where guests got to explore four different escape rooms, watch magicians perform and grub out on custom birthday cakes. Shilohs dad, Brad Pitt, was not in attendance, but all five of her siblings Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox were there, along with a group of friends, to help celebrate the birthday girl.
An eyewitness told ET that everyone was in good spirits, and spent hours finding their way out of all the escape rooms.
[From ET]
I looked at The Basement?s site it?s an immersive experience with live actors in which you have to figure out ways to ?escape? various physical and intellectual traps. I was trying to think back to what my ideal birthday party would have been like at 13 probably something involving a good cake and Pearl Jam? But obviously, Shiloh is different. Those escape rooms would probably give me, a grown-ass adult, nightmares for months. But I bet Shiloh LOVED it.
