| January Jones vs. Jessica Paré: which Mrs. Draper looked better at the Met Gala? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Unfortunately for all of us, the ladies of Mad Men were not completely represented at last night?s Met Gala. And by that I mean Christina Hendricks and her bountiful rack of awesomeness were not in attendance. Instead, we got the two Mrs. Drapers. (There are actually three Mrs. Drapers overall, but I guess no one counts Don Draper?s first wife!). January Jones (Mrs. Draper #2) and Jessica Par (Mrs. Draper #3) were both in attendance. January wore yellow & black Atelier Versace, a pretty standard bustier and mermaid-skirt design. January, as you may know, thinks she?s super-high-fashion. And you may remember, she rarely pulls off ?the look? she?s attempting. As for this dress… I?m not sure about the hip fins or anything, but her body looks great. I don?t care for this shade of yellow on her, though. I think that might be my biggest issue – the color doesn?t suit her.
While her hair looks fine in general, I don?t think this style really goes with the dress or the event. And I hate the combination of the turquoise necklace with the yellow dress. Your jewelry doesn?t have to be matchy-matchy, but it shouldn?t look so thrown together without any thought either.
Jessica Par wore L?Wren Scott, which? shows a great deal of fashion confidence, I think. I love L?Wren, and while she might not be the ?coolest? designer out there, the clothes are always beautiful and well-made. This coppery-bronze color really suits her coloring, and while this look isn?t going to be considered groundbreaking or incredible fashion-forward, it suits her and she looks beautiful. Well done!

Taking care of her growling tummy, January Jones was spotted hitting up a local eatery in New York City this afternoon (May 7).
The ?Mad Men? actress was joined by her baby boy Xander as she hopped out of a taxi cab and headed up the sidewalk.
And according to a report, January had the full and undivided attention of Christie?s executive Loic Gouzer at the screening of ?La Revolution Bleu? at the Paris Theatre in NYC this past Thursday (May 3).
Gouzer made several comments about Jones as he introduced her to the crowd, including, ?I promised myself I wouldn?t propose tonight.? January appeared to enjoy the flattery.

All dolled up for an evening of cinema, January Jones was looking fabulous as she turned up at the Paris Theatre in New York City on Thursday (May 3).
The "Mad Men" actress posed along the arrivals carpet before heading inside for a special screening of the French film titled "La Revolution Bleue".
Prior to prettying herself up for the evening screening, Miss Jones was spotted running errands with her son, Xander, in the busy streets of the Big Apple.
The make-up free 34-year-old did a little shopping at a local Whole Foods before catching a cab with her little man, who sported baby jeans and a blue and white striped shirt.
January's hectic day in NYC comes as a brand new episode of her hit AMC series is set to air this Sunday, May 6th at 10/9c.
Titled 'Lady Lazarus,' episode 5.08 finds Peggy get irritated by a secret she has to keep while Pete covers for a friend and Don gets unexpected news. Check out the promo below!
of "Mad Men" before it airs at 10/9c on AMC.

| January Jones actually holds her (ginger?) baby Xander Dane in public | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of January Jones and her son Xander Dane Jones out and about yesterday in LA. Several sites (The Superficial!) have been teasing January about her ice-cold vanilla bitchery extending to her son, because she is so rarely photographed in candid shots with the baby. I?m not saying NEVER. Just rarely. There are some photos from a few months ago where she was carrying Xander, but these are the first we?ve had access to, where January is actually carrying Xander in her arms. Note: I?m not saying January is a bad mother at all. I actually think that she doesn?t want too much attention drawn to her son, and she actively tries to avoid candid photo-ops with him. Maybe that?s nave of me, but that?s how I read it.
As for little Xander Dane and his mysterious paternity? well, I?ve already analyzed that to the hilt last year. My theory (CAUTION: MERE SPECULATION!!) is that Matthew Vaughn is the father, and January isn?t confirming it because Vaughn is married (to Claudia Schiffer) and he?s already a father to three kids. Vaughn directed January in X-Men: First Class, and it was during filming that she became pregnant. So? people always assumed it was somebody working on that film, and we had such a great time guessing, didn?t we? As I?m looking at these new photos of little Xander (January?s little X-Man!), I have to wonder? is this baby a ginger?!?!? Dear God. What if Michael Fassbender was the father this whole time?! No, right? Fassy likes much darker girls – I can?t see him fooling around with January. But if the Fassbender genes are present, we should be able to see them coming out in Xander soon enough. GAH.

Taking care of some shopping duties, January Jones was spotted at Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles yesterday (April 5).
The ?Anger Management? actress looked lovely in a black fedora with a printed blouse, black jacket, and black trousers as she pushed her cart back to her car.
And it looks like January picked out some delicious and healthy food for herself and her baby, also snagging some Bobux baby shoes.
Coming up this Sunday (April 8), Miss Jones and the rest of the ?Mad Men? crew return to AMC with an all new drama-filled episode.

| January Jones versus Amber Heard: which blonde looked better in black YSL? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

These are some photos of two blonde girls at last night?s Metropolitan Opera opening of Jules Massenet’s Manon. The event was sponsored by Yves Saint Laurent, and as such, many of the ladies wore YSL for the event. Both Amber Heard and January Jones chose YSL, although it feels like these dresses were designed by radically different designers. One is almost too covered up, and the other seems too ?bombshell? for an opera opening.
I have to say, I?ve become much more impressed with January lately. She really doesn?t seem so full of herself since she had little Xander, and she comes across as a much nicer person now that she?s a mom. I can?t say that I?m cosigning all of her fashion choices lately, but she?s keeping it interesting. Considering her body bounced back really quickly after she gave birth, I wouldn?t mind if she showed off more skin, you know? She?s only 34 years old. She doesn?t have to dress like a nun.
As for Amber Heard? this girl is so sexy. She?s only 25 years old, and she’s a chameleon on the red carpet. Sometimes I think she looks like Scarlett Johansson. Sometimes she looks like Agyness Deyn. Sometimes it?s a combination of a million other celebrities. I like Amber?s YSL dress more than January?s, but it?s difficult to make Amber look bad.

| January Jones Eats Her Own Placenta | Added 12 years ago | Source: The Blemish |

During a press junket, January Jones said fans always joke about her character Betty’s standoffish parenting skills but say they don’t think she’s thatkindof mom in real life. “What’s nice is that the expectations for my parenting is very low, so I can really only exceed the expectations.”
Having said that, only recently have we seen Jones holding her own baby. Sure, that may be because she values her privacy and doesn’t see the point in parading her kid around like an accessory but I’d like to think it’s more because her way of raising kids is in line with how I would raise one. Pretend they don’t exist.
Regardless, Jones says about raising a fussy, screaming baby, “It was hard to work long days and then go home and not sleep. It?s getting harder, not easier, so I?m a little concerned!”
So how does she deal with this since she can’t just drop that kid off on someone’s doorstep like normal moms? She eats her own placenta insisting it’s not “witch-crafty or anything!” “I have a great doula who makes sure I?m eating well, with vitamins and teas, and with placenta capsulation.”
You may be wondering: that sounds delicious, tell me more. “Your placenta gets dehydrated and made into vitamins,” she explains. “It?s something I was very hesitant about, but we?re the only mammals who don?t ingest our own placentas.” We’re also the only animals who wear clothes but you don’t see me running around naked. Unless I finally break into Jessica Alba’s house.
That said, if Jones insists on doing this, she should talk to Tom Cruise. I hear he knows a recipe for a killer Lemon Placenta Gnocchi.

As some of you because you follow me on Twitter (seriously, follow me – I link to lots of hot photos of dudes), I came to recent realization that baby Xander had really softened January Jones. Before her pregnancy (which we still have no idea as to the father), January was known for her ice-cold vanilla bitchery, and copping major ?tude in interview after interview. But as January promotes the new season of Mad Men, she seems? softer, somehow. Nicer. I linked to her Vanity Fair interview (which you can read here) – it?s a really nice piece. And now this – January talked babies and placenta pills with People Magazine:
January Jones plays TV?s iciest mom on Mad Men, but she and Betty aren?t alike in their mothering techniques.
?I think my fans make cracks about it, but they don?t actually think I?d bring any of Betty?s parenting into my own life,? she told PEOPLE during the show?s press junket Tuesday. ?What?s nice is that the expectations for my parenting is very low, so I can really only exceed the expectations.?
Fans need not set the bar too low, though. Jones, 34, was back to work almost right after she gave birth to her son Xander Dane last September. ?I think I went back to set six or seven weeks after, so he was really little,? she says.
Jones was determined to spend time with her son, even during long days on set. ?I had the baby and the baby nurse in their own room so I could go back and feed him every two hours,? the first-time mom recalls. ?If I felt like he needed me, or if he needed to eat, or even if I just needed a squeeze because I was having separation issues, I would go back and see him. It was such a blessing that I wasn?t separated from him.?
Jones tells PEOPLE that the biggest challenge of being a mom on set was the exhaustion.
?It was hard to work long days and then go home and not sleep,? says the actress. ?It?s getting harder, not easier, so I?m a little concerned!?
Jones?s secret to staying high energy through the grueling shooting schedule? ?I have a great doula who makes sure I?m eating well, with vitamins and teas, and with placenta capsulation.?
You read right: Jones is eating her own placenta. ?Your placenta gets dehydrated and made into vitamins,? she explains. ?It?s something I was very hesitant about, but we?re the only mammals who don?t ingest our own placentas.?
Jones has taken the capsules every day since right after she had her son, and also anytime she feels tired or down. Jones insists, ?It?s not witch-crafty or anything! I suggest it to all moms!?
[From People]
First, I love this statement: ?What?s nice is that the expectations for my parenting is very low, so I can really only exceed the expectations.? At least January is self-aware enough to know that everyone thinks she?s an icy bitch, eh? And it does sound like she?s being a good mom, I think. As for the placenta pills? I don?t think it?s that weird or gross, and you know how sensitive my gag reflex is. I think I?m not grossed out because I can pretty much swallow anything in pill form – and the idea of freeze-drying and then encapsulating your placenta just seems kind of cool/weird/awesome.

Following up her many media appearances for the day, January Jones was spotted at ?Late Night with Jimmy Fallon? last night (March 19).
The ?Anger Management? babe looked beautiful as she chatted with Fallon about the much-anticipated Season Five of ?Mad Men.?
And though he tried, Jimmy was unable to get January to divulge any secrets about the forthcoming plot lines- not surprising as creator Matthew Wiener has been very hush-hush.
Still, Jones did reveal that her character Betty Draper was going to die- someday- just like everybody else.

Here are some photos of the cast of Mad Men yesterday at Paleyfest in LA. Paleyfest is just for TV shows to go and promote and premiere their new episodes or seasons, and it usually includes a round-table discussion and personal interviews. It?s a big press event, basically. Unfortunately, neither Elisabeth Moss nor Christina Hendricks were there. Fortunately, Jon Hamm was there. As was January Jones (with ?pink? hair), Vincent Kartheiser (Pete Campbell), Aaron Staton (Ken Cosgrove), Jon Slattery (Roger Sterling) and Kiernan Shipka (Sally Draper). They all look so different with their 21st century hair, right? I think I?m the only one who loves Vincent Kartheiser, but that boy should ALWAYS have his hair slicked back.
Over the weekend, I decided to begin my preparations for the premiere of the fifth season of Mad Men. We have ELEVEN DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!!!! March 25th, y?all. I can?t wait. Anyway, my preparation included re-watching the fourth season, which I haven?t seen in more than a year. After a year, I had forgotten some of the plot lines, so I enjoyed catching up. But even more than that, I just enjoyed watching the show so, so much. The fourth season was really awesome. I like that they?ve produced four seasons with coherence, allowing the characters to grow and develop without everything devolving into a complete soap opera (like Downton Abbey, which I also love, for different reasons). Matthew Weiner has retained so much of the drama and emotion throughout all of the seasons, and when there is a rare emotional payoff, it packs a major punch. GAH! I can?t wait for this.
Basically, this was just an ad for the new season. I?m not getting paid by AMC or anything. I just can?t wait. These photos made me squeal.
